A hidden gem. Although it started slowly, the storylines and the characters personalities were consistent from beginning to the end. It was really nice to see more of the producers world, as a kpop fan I love watching music shows and variety programs but I never really thought about the people who are behind the curtains.
The episodes had more than one hour and if we were to split them we'd basically have a 16 episodes drama. But I'm glad it's a short one, they told us a story, they didn't extend anything and it wasn't tiresome.
The acting is top notch. I love all of the 4 main characters but I'm so amazed with how they wrote Cindy. She has such a strong personality and she stayed true to herself, they could go many places with her character, they could have played safe but they didn't, and that's why, for me, she ended being so much awkwardly likeable and relatable, she was my favorite part of the show.
It also had many odd supporting characters that had their own little storylines and even with them, the writing was really good.
Oh, not forgetting the editing, it was nice and weird, loved it.

I get that it's not a drama for everyone, but I'd recommend this one to anyone seeking something unusual and entertaining with a very nice writing. This is not a romantic drama, is a drama with romance as part of the many stories to be unfold. 9/10.

Super light drama. The story is cute for the most part. It focuses on the friendship between 3 woman, and their each individual relationships. There's also a family aspect for each of the characters. Because it's a 76 episode drama, the plots move relatively slow, the dialogues are longer than usual, and the diary recap scene done by Vivi's character at the end of each drama is a bit tedious. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this drama very much for a long length drama mainly because the friendship/family part was very heartwarming. There were also many lessons incorporated in this drama and in each episode.

Of course, Danson was phenomenal in this drama; he has now become one of my biases. His relationship with Albee's character was adorable and I liked their romance. Darren being dorky was a completely different character for him; I was blown away at how realistic he made his character out to be. His romance with Vivi was pretty boring, but their friendship was fantastic and well developed. Jennifer Hong's crying scenes were really well done and I liked her strong+independent woman character.

The music was pretty repetitive, but I noticed there was like a 'theme' song for each couple when their individual romantic scene came on. I thought that was pretty cute; I personally liked the songs a lot.

The rewatch value is low because 76 episodes is really long, but I would rewatch some of the creative romantic scenes that I liked. I would recommend this drama for those of you that want to watch a longer story yet is still entertaining. I recommend this drama; it is definitely one of the better long length t-dramas out there! (read my other review; i think this drama is slightly better!) (The 8.5 rating is for its quality BASED on the fact it is a long length drama; if I was rating in comparison to all dramas then it is probably an 8) (9/8)

This is a remake of the Korean Drama You're Beautiful. I absolutely adored the original, but if I'm being honest, I find this version not only more fulfilling plot wise, but also an overall nicer watch. I feel as though the characters are more throughly developed in this version, and where there was plot holes in the orginal, this one filled them in with charm and poise. I very much enjoy both the music and overall plot of this drama!

Let me start by saying that this drama is one of the unique dramas out there. Each episode has fresh scenes (nothing like you have seen before) and the story is so rich with details that it will always leave you asking for more. Needless to stay, the story was addicting.

Ji Sung was one of the actors that I am really not fond of. But watching this drama totally changed my mind. Ji Sung is one of the best Korean actors out there! He has a so-freaking-amazing-I-could-not-put-it-to-words acting skill and good looks to boot (I was so stupid not to notice this before). But seriously, I fell in love with all the characters he portrayed. If I were Ri-Jin I would not know who I would ask to stay. The sweet goody-two-shoes Cha Do Hyeon or the possessive hot alpha male Shin Se gi. Seriously, Shin Se gi is badass!

I love how the story was well-written, how each cliffhanger always proves your suspicions wrong, how the tables are turned and how twisted their fate. It is not the typical kdrama and I love the pacing of the story, not too fast nor too dragging.

If there's a tiny little bit dislike I have for this is its lack of ROMANCE. Sure, there are some love scenes, but the characters are so beautifully made that I could not get enough of them. Other than that, all I have is love for this drama.

All in all, it's one of the series that is well worth of your time. Something that would not disappoint until the end.

I rarely write reviews, but I thought I had to for this show. This show is a gem among the dull repetitive, and as you are all aware, completely unrealistic k-dramas produced by the big companies. This show was roll on the floor funny, starkingly realistic about relationships and had the heart and grounded characters to draw you in. The actors were fabulous, and the couples endearing. The music was fantastic and I got a whole list of artist I must now absolutely follow. Take a chance and watch this show, its not for kids, and reflects true adult relationships, none of that fake innocence stuff ( I'm referring to the horrible kiss scenes in dramas that finally happen towards the end). Over all take a break from badly written rom coms and watch The Lover.

*SPOILER FREE*

What I don't like from most of Korean dramas is that the plot usually drags. The characters are all hiding something and that caused misunderstanding and that muddied the water - frankly said, the characters were causing their own problems. That's why to avoid this annoying phase I tend to skip boring scenes or "hard to watch" scenes, and hope I can get to the ending faster because I wanted the characters to have a happy ending.
Strangely, that didn't happen to me as I was watching this title. I didn't want it to end - I wanted it to be as long as possible. The pace in this drama is good, the connections are awesome and heartfelt, and most important: the plot doesn't drag. Though sadly, it ended abruptly (last two episodes felt rushed, and especially episode 16 felt as if the whole episode was a filler episode).
Almost all of the important characters here grow for the better - with exceptions, of course. The ending could've been more elaborated, but it's all right the way it was.
It's heartbreaking, and I really REALLY felt for the main character. He was such a tragic character with a tragic life.
This has a fantastic directing - I think I really have to mention that. FANTASTIC directing - especially every scenes regarding Jae In and Gun Wook. The acting also really awesome, and Kim Nam Gil showed his 'prowess' so superbly - I felt like I would've fainted if I were to be treated such way by such an intimidating womanizer like Shim Gun Wook. His acting - and the writing & directing - made me, as a mere viewer - felt his irresistible charm and sex-appeal - even if all he did was kissing. His onscreen presence is MIND BLOWING. I've watched dozens and dozens of dramas and very rare actors/ instances can trigger those feelings and adoration from me.

Now, people might find the ending... unsatisfying, to say the least. I kind of agree - but not because of the plot, but for the execution. It lack details, lack good pacing, felt rushed, and... you know, 'half-assed'. The way the last two episodes was carried almost felt like an insult to the first 15 episodes which were done BEAUTIFULLY. This drama should've gotten perfect mark from me, but the last two episodes took away one mark from me. So I gave it 90.

"The World That They Live In" takes you to an emotional roller coaster that will make you think of getting off somewhere along the ride, but at the same time, will have you anticipating what's next!

It definitely lives up to its title as it truly takes us to "the world that they (production staff, crew and team) live in", and I think, that's one of the most enjoyable part of the show. It gives us a glimpse of the real life drama of the people behind the dramas we love to watch.

The story of this show does not only focus on the lead actors, Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo. It also dedicated some episodes about the supporting actors, which I found fun too! It gives depth to the supporting characters and again, gives us a glimpse of the dramas in the lives of actors / actresses, story-writers, scriptwriters, chief directors... and other people involved in the production as well.

However, the story of the main actors was a bit frustrating! The conflicts between them and within each character seem so shallow, and you would want to hit your laptop screen several times. Still, both Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo's beautiful faces and good acting skills will keep you from doing so.

Besides their incredible beauty and acting, Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo's chemistry will make you go crazy.

"The World That They Live In" is not perfect. It will also be frustrating at some point, but trust me, the end will make you wanting for more.

I had zero interest on Korean shows before I came across Secret Garden. Because of this show, I became amazed by how amazing Korean production are able to come up with romantic dramas.

This particular show, Secret Garden, has a different twist since it has the element of supernatural / mystery in it. It is such a fun ride as it is a mixture of comedy, mystery, romance, friendship... Honestly, it was such an emotional roller coaster ride for me!

The sneak peek at the life of stunt men and stunt production was also a treat for me!

It also was a pleasure to watch Hyun Bin for the first time. He played the role so flawlessly! He and Ha Ji-won had such a strong chemistry! My heart fluttered every time they had a moment together. <3

I truly recommend this show to everyone out there looking for a good korean drama to watch! Secret Garden will really take you to a wonderful world!

This was a ten episode drama which took me at the very least 7 months to finish. And even though it was only ten episodes, I still "speed watched" towards the last episodes. *hangs head in shame* Not really...lol

The first two episodes were fine and good. I was definitely surprised by how decently good the special Sci-Fi effects were. This is something that always worries me when watching dramas, especially Japanese ones. So I can confidently say, this drama has had the best effects from all the Japanese ones I have watched. But once the surprise wore off, I started to become bored. I just didn't care whether Ando Asahi lived or died. Also, the whole concept of the drama as to why she needed to live, not buying it. Nope. Ando Lloyd may have had more human emotion than I do. *shrugs*

So, I'll just say...

Ando Lloyd wasn't that bad. The acting was decent and the effects were good, but it was boring, except when they were using atomic disposal and stabbing/shooting/dismembering each other. Those parts always got my interest.

I don't know about anyone else, but the reason I started watching this drama was Kim Hee Chul. Yes, I know he's not a good actor. BUT he's one of my two biases in Super Junior (Si Won being the other). He's also the reason why I even gave the group a second chance. "Sorry, sorry" is just not my thing... Sorry! Not really. I also like Lee Soon Jae, I think he's one amazing veteran actor.

To my surprise, "Flower Granpa" was really funny. I enjoyed it so much that I went through the first seven episodes really fast. The premise was also interesting and I liked that all the grandpas had their own concepts. I called them "grumpy grandpa", "cute grandpa", and... "delusional grandpa". And while Hee Chul and Lee Soon Jae were the main driving force which made me watch this drama, I ended up loving "cute grandpa" Kang Seuki the most. Although, it was kind of hard watching a grown man, who is old enough to be my father, around so much... pink. Did I just show my age? Jijiji.

But as it was nearing the ending episodes, it kind of went down a small hill. The story got rushed. The things Lee Joon Hyuk, grumpy grandpa, started to do made no sense at all. I mean, come on! He's supposed to be a smart police detective! I can't really say much more without adding a plethora of spoilers. Another thing which bothered me was the "main villain". Although I have nothing against the actor who played him, I thought he was too mellow. He didn't give me that "I'm a mastermind" vibe. I just wanted to smack him over the head and tell him to "straighten up" as if he was a teen misbehaving. I just couldn't buy him as a villain. *shrugs*

Although I thought "Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit" was really light and funny at first and I really enjoyed it, I have to say I was somewhat of disappointed with its last episodes. It became too over-dramatic and rushed.

I finished this one after months and months on my on hold list. I also debated, with myself, whether I should even bother writing a review or not since there is only one thing I really want to say and repeat over and over. But for the sake of reviewing, I'm adding two, maybe one, sentences more. Short review ahead.

This drama had all the elements, in theory, to become one of my favorites. It's supernatural themed, it had action, and the effects while not mind blowing awesome were pretty decent. But it failed to make it into my top list of awesome dramas I just have to watch now!

The dialogue... It seemed like they were reading their lines from cue cards the writers were holding up for them. There was no feeling/emotion behind the lines. I just couldn't care less about what happened in each episode. While the action was alright, I felt sleepy all through out the drama. Which basically means the acting was definitely not good and the actors failed to make their characters come alive.

How can an action packed supernatural drama about a ghost seeing detective be so frigging boring?!?!?! How? It's just beyond me.

Also, the OST didn't help.

Oh, look! It was more than 2 sentences.

The drama started out funny and refreshing, even if it had so many bloopers that you would think the whole episode was the NG bit at the end of an it. It made me laugh and that's why I really enjoyed the beginnig. But soon, for me, what made it funny and refreshing made it annoying and practically unbearable. They overused so many phrases and situations that I jusrt sighted and eye rolled by the time I reached the fifth episode.

I'm not fan of Song Jae Rim. He has always just been there like a pretty flower in the background. I had hoped this drama would change that so I could fangirl with eonni about him, but sadly it did not. I soon found myself on the "Lee Hyun Myung" bandwagon and soon after on none at all. I can't even explain how much I disliked the whole point of this drama and most of the characters.

And the ending, I was downright outraged with its ridiculousness. Although, it shouldn't have surprised me with the six episode cut it got. I don't really have much else to say without going into a neverending rant o' rage.

I have absolutely no idea what possessed me to start this drama since it wasn't even on my PTW list and my "On hold" and "Currently watching" ones keep growing each day. I'm also not a fan of Gouriki Ayame and I had never even heard of Kurosawa Ryohei. Maybe this is a mystery Shioriko and Daisuke can add to their lists.

The first episode did very well its job. It reeled me in with Daisuke's family mystery and it made me interested in its main characters. I really liked that both main characters had their own mysteries to solve. Then, the opening of the show rolled in and I was a total goner. I loved the concept of everyone being a book you need to read to know its story. At least, that's what I gathered from it.

I, also, really enjoyed the way the actors portrayed their characters. The chemistry between Gouriki Ayama and Kurosawa Ryohei was really good. And I thought Shioriki and Daisuke were awkwardly cute when they were together.

Although the drama is slow paced and has a really mellow atmosphere I think it fits. It helps keep up the mystery and suspense as Shioriko and Daisuke try to solve the mysteries they encounter in each episode. And even though each episode had a different story, it still had a main underlying one running in the background. For me, this made it feel a little less episodic.

The OST was also good. I loved the instrumentals, they seemed to fit the moment just right. And while I did hum and failed to sing along to the ending credits song "Never ending story... la la la.." I doubt, I will be listening to it anytime soon. Unless I rewatch the drama. I think that's the only way I'll listen to it.

There were some things that bothered me though. Why did she have to dress like a bag lady grandma just because she likes books? I tried not to let it bother me too much since I was really interested in the story. The other was the romance. Yes, there was some, but you had to use a microscope without blinking to get a glimpse of it.

I have recently re-discovered Yan Aaron. I say "re-discovered" because in the past I've tried to get through some of his other dramas, dramas like Love Buffet, but miserably failed. Twice. I hadn't really thought much of him until I saw oorie unni, M. Kay, was watching "Fall in Love with Me", so I decided to start that. But since it's still airing and I needed more Aaron, I decided to start this one, "Just You", which unni was also watching.

This drama had a lot of negative comments, but I didn't let that deter me. The worst thing that could happen was that I would end up dropping it, something I'm certainly not shy about doing. But to my surprise the total opposite happened. Not only did I NOT drop it, it didn't even cross my mind once, I completely enjoyed myself.

At first, I had my "Tunnel Vision" superpower activated, that's an inside joke, so that I would focus on Aaron and not end up dropping it. I cannot stress this enough, I am a serial dropper. It doesn't really take much provocation for me to go on a dropping rampage. I also hated, and I mean HATED, Kuo Puff's character, Liang Liang, with an unbridled passion. There was not one good point that I could see about her character. And come on, that story... So cliched. But slowly, this all changed. It didn't just become about me satiating my Yan Aaron hunger. I actually started to like the drama. I really liked how it was done, even if they wasted too much time on Jia Yu. I would have just stuck her on a mental hospital and be done with her. Just sayin'. I loved some the characters, especially Kai Te (Kate), Alex, and Mie Mie. Although others, like Cheng Mama, there was something seriously wrong with this woman, and Qi Mama never grew on me.

Also, I don't know when and how Liang Liang just wormed her way into my good graces. It was so sudden that I only noticed when I found myself feeling upset over how she was being treated. I had to actually pause and digest this. I decided it was just best to shrug it off and accept it. And did I say Yan Aaron was hot and awesome in this? No? Well, he was. I even disliked and shook my fist at his character, Qi Yi, a few times in the last half of the drama.

This drama at times also made me feel a tiny bit bipolar. One second I was laughing till I coughed, the next I would be angry as heck, and the next I would be sobbing. I just couldn't get a hold of my emotions.

"Just You" was funny, fluffy, cuddly, and the remedy to my drama slump. Hence why I consider it one of my very guilty pleasures.
