This is like the deepest Sentai Toei has come out with in years. How long has it been since they came out with a show like this? Long enough for me not to remember anyway, lmao.
This is probably why I couldn't be annoyed over Zett realizing that he couldn't get dat kirakira da after thinking on it, and for once, I can see how Toei typically paces their endings and shit.
Fab/10 tbh.

This drama is a lot more powerful than people think the messages that it is passing through are too deep to describe. The political propaganda the interdependence of media, politics, the law, and businesses. It is in some sense reality.
The story could have developed faster I think at some point it dragged on while the finish was a bit too fast- they should have used 2 episodes to develop what happened in the last episode.
As for characters I really liked prosecutor Koo and chief Moon. Yeol Moo was annoying sometimes it felt as if she had no emotions, she cried very well I have to admit but her interest towards Koo was invisible/ non existent. She looked more interested in the kid Kang Soo. I also really liked Kang Soo, he played his character very well, in order to judge him as an actor I will have to see him in different roles, because I don't know if he played this role very well because his personality is as such or because he is such a good actor.
Romance
I preferred the second lead couple it was funnier as I said before yeol moo was so just not into it that it seemed like she was faking that she liked him. They were funnier and I could see chemistry between them ( strange chemistry but existent).
If you like crime DEFINITELY watch it if you re into sappy romance SKIP ! this aint for you :)

Maybe not the best drama (or maybe not) but the perfect one for me...It's contains all the things I like : action, suspense, romance and comedy.
There wasn't any dull moment when I watched the show. I loved it from the beginning to the end and was never disappointed and even pleasantly surprised by the development of the story.
Thank you so much to the writer, Song Ji Na, who made some of my fantasies comes true and for the perfect cast.
I was already fond of Ji Chang Wook but the character of "Healer" made me fall over heels for this actor (like when Lee Jun Ki owned me after his performance in the drama "Hero" - where Ji Chang Wook played a supporting role!). I didn't know Yoo Ji Tae but now, I have to check his movies! And the hacker Ahjumma was so great.
I liked the chemistry between all the characters! Of course, the OTP was awesome but it wasn't the only relationship that made me enjoys this drama. I liked the relationship between Jeong Hoo and Moon Ho and all the other interactions (Healer-Ahjumma, Moon Ho-Moon Shik). All the characters from the leading to the supporting ones were well written.
What was the most pleasant thing for me is that there is always a moment in the dramas (even if the beginning is great) when the writer "invent" some sort of problems between the OTP which leads to some misunderstanding between the characters but there were none in this one and it was really REFRESHING!
Dont hesitate, just watch and enjoy this drama as much as I did!

Looking at all the episodes story from the last couple; I found the drama hilarious. I laughed out loud so many times whilst watching this! The music for that first kiss made me very happy indeed! Over all it was a great modern adaption to The Little Mermaid storyline. I heard occasionally Kim Ha Ni humming music from Disney's film. I don't know whether that was intentional or my imagination, but I thought it made a sweet addition to the drama!
My only negative towards this was, as I've said, the ending. If it hadn't been cut due to low ratings in Korea then it would of been my favourite drama. Six more episodes and it would of been perfect!

Story> not a new story, only a story that demonstrated love(good & bad) at its different stages for folks over the age of 25. The poor-ditzy girl from country meets the prince of the city, both in need of a case of love to shake off the chills of loneliness & immaturity.
Actors> The two leads simply simmered & sizzled on screen acting out this "rella' story. The side story's and actors all repeated a similar storyline of the right love & support can mature a man & woman. Standout: The lead actor was this smoldering sexy, intelligent prince, waiting - urging his girl to grow-up into the woman she is meant to become (and does).
Overall>>
33eps _45~min each is long, but the story does move along and a bit skipping helps the move along. Cdrama sometimes have a low-budget feel however this drama feels and looks first rate putting it equal to any Kdrama RomCom. The only cheesy part for me were the misleading posters, not giving this drama a fair chance.
>Music - cute but not distracting, no music worms will invade.
Give this a shot is you like RomCom_ the story is good, heart moving and lots of twists, love triangles, betrayal and patient, enduring LOVE.

The plot started out all right, Yoon Se Na was a girl with fire inside of her, but she had to suppress that fire in order to survive. Then Hyun Wook comes along and pushes her buttons because he's an arrogant little CEO who loves his dog more than most guys love their girlfriends. She explodes at him, he explodes at her, nuclear war between two very angry people. Then OOPS, wow! Turns out Se Na is his dead girlfriend's little sister he's been looking for for so long! Not that he did anything to make her hate him forever or anything...aaaaand we end the scene with Hyun Wook staring at Se Na across the street with tears in his eyes and Se Na glaring at him no doubt cussing him out in her head. I mean honestly it wasn't anything special, but I had expected it to get better from there. Little did I know, it completed flat-lined. And then from there complete plummetation. Which is not a word, but let's make it one. First came the Hyun Wook Tries to Win Se Na's Heart stage which lasted roughly about 2 episodes, then comes the Cute Fuzzy Mutual Happiness stage which lasted about 2 episodes. Finally, the stage you've all been waiting for: Hyun Wook and Se Na Pine For Each Other and Cause Unnecessary Drama and Pain. Essentially the rest of the drama until the last 3 episodes. Literally entire episodes were spent on them just pining for each other. Writers, is that REALLY necessary. We get it. Oh, boo hoo, they miss each other. Please get to the point.
I'm not sure if it's because Krystal's never gotten a role like this before, but WOW was Yoon Se Na blegh. I don't think of Krystal as a particularly bad actress, so I'll just peg this one as not so great writing. In the first three episodes, Se Na was an interesting character with a spine and passion for music. She was sad when she needed to be, and she was mad when she needed to be. Oh and most importantly, she had human emotions. Then as the drama progressed it's like she went on living throwing away an emotion a day. By the end of the drama she basically cried all the time and was overall just an emotionless soul sucking robot. Also, can we just take a moment to realize that even towards the end of the drama she kept on calling him AHJUSSI? Ahjussi. Ah. Ju. Ssi. That's what you would call someone twice, thrice, four times your age. Not the person you like. I mean, yes age difference but Oppa exists for a reason and so does Hyun Wook ssi. Another one of the many reasons why this drama was a bit uncomfortable to watch is the blatantly obvious taboo. She's his dead girlfriend's sister. Not only girlfriend, but also dead. Not just dead, but dead with the thought that he had been cheating on her. Their last moments together were spent fighting, and now he goes and falls in love with her sister. It's just not right. I know there's all those sayings like love prevails in the end, or love finds a way, but this is a bit...The one and only beacon of light that kept me watching was Shi Woo. He was straightforward and charismatic. He liked her and he was upfront about his feelings. He didn't beat around the bush, just went ahead and pursued her and that is what I like. Hyun Wook should take notes. Overall, Myungsoo did a great job with this character. It was so obvious, that Shi Woo and Se Na had two oceans more chemistry than Se Na and Hyun Wook, yet Se Na STILL ended up with Hyun Wook. Why is the drama cliché to always have the two main leads end up together? It should have been obvious to the writers that Shi WooxSe Na had more chemistry, yet they still stuck to the classic ending? Speaking of the ending, I can't even review it because I don't know what the hell happened. It just. Boom. End Scene. Cut off abruptly, no explanation. Roll the credits. Byethanksforwatching. I just. No.
There was nothing particularly special about the music really. The only song I really wanted was the song Shi Woo sang for Se Na as a guide, but I couldn't find that anywhere. :(
If I were to rewatch this, it would be for the cute moments between Se Na and Shi Woo. This drama overall was just a bust on SBS's part. I find that SBS can either come out with REEEEALLY great dramas like City Hunter, My Love From The Star, and Pinocchio, or REEEALLY bad dramas that had good potential like the Heirs or My Lovely Girl. I wouldn't recommend it for experienced watchers, but if you're just starting out, try this one to kind of test your palette. It'll make it easier to compare to other dramas in terms of how good of a drama it actually is.

I did not know a couple of the leads but they were really good and made me believe their characters. Their acting was so natural and so funny when they have to be, and they made me cry at the tender moments as well.
The music was so well suited to the drama.
As for rewatch value, it's a long drama, so maybe in the very far future I will go ahead and re-watch. It's worth it.

I'm a huge fan of romantic comedies and I absolutely both side love interest in this. Kang Hye Won set the standard for dislikable second female lead. Just a terrible character, manipulative and a user. Yuck. Yu Min Hyuk is the same, just the worst.
This made me a fan of Song Hye Kyo and even though Rain's character is sort of a jerk, it doesn't stack up to the bad behavior of his terrible friends.

I expected a kdrama style romance comedy. Rich Man, Poor Woman felt more like a anime and a coming of age/ slice of life type show. As a result romance felt lack luster. More humorous than hilarious. As a coming of age story entertaining enough.

I'm writing this review after some time has passed and really can't remember much from the show, nothing really stands out. That's not to say this is a kdrama clone, but, sadly, feels like nothing remarkable happened and no real stand out characters.

But I was very surprised the plot was very organized and actually made sense. However, there was still plot holes. All the characters seem confusing in this series. I found the concept of KO girls mind boggling. They still get recognized under their "disguise" so it kinda makes no sense to conceal themselves. However, I would say the story is a improvement over X-Dormitory. The writers incorporated Yi Neng, which makes the story flow better. However, it also made me question if the budget for X Dormintory was the why it wasn't that good.
As always in almost every Zhong Ji series, they kill off the OTP. Somehow for this series, the writers made open ending for the OTP. I guess this was slightly better that the usual killing of the OTP.

Personally I enjoyed this Korean version more. Found the start a bit hard to get into. Initially the characters were a bit too silly for me. Once you get an idea of what to expect from the show it becomes bearable and even a bit fun. The character Lee Gun made this an enjoyable watch. About as much melodrama as romance and comedy with quite a bit of angst. Personally not a fan of angsty romance, but if you're in the mood for it, enjoy.

LONG REVIEW
=================================
I'll start of by saying this is the FUNNIEST drama I have seen.
I'm a sucker for light-hearted romantic comedies and this drama was a very satisfying watch.
This drama doesn't take itself too seriously and never succumbs to the overly serious drama scenes that plague typical kdramas.
CHARACTERS / ACTORS
Seo In Guk is remarkably lovable in this. As Lee Min Suk and fake Lee Hyung Suk he is funny and playful but never to the point of being childish. Fans of Seo In Guk in Reply 1997 will love him in this as well.
Lee Ha Na as Jung Soo Young was very kooky. The actress convincingly portrayed a quirky woman. I can see some viewers not being taken with her character but if you take the character Jung Soo Young at face value she's a lovable character. Til the end, Jung Soo Young never looses her kookiness.
Other than the leads, the side characters including the office workers, and Min Suk's school friends were hilarious in their own right. These side characters had their funny little stories and truly gave the drama a richer feel.
STORY
At its core High School King of Savvy is a romance and the plot takes the backseat to the romance. The plot development was interesting at the start, and not too much as to weigh down the drama. However, the resolution at the end was a bit unsatisfying in its simplicity.
REWATCH?
There are many scenes I would rewatch in the future but as a whole no.
MUSIC
I'm not too much of a drama lover but there was one song that caught my ear which I later found out was actually sang by Seo In Guk (Finding Myself). Wonderful surprise.

The scenery was beautiful. Long shots of the entire setting allows us to feel like we're watching things happen from a far. Although the shots seem 3rd person point of view, you are still connected to each character. They are all encouraging characters with clear motives. Each one is given a good amount of time in every episode to tell their side of the story. You may grow to hate a character but also understand why a character would do such a thing. It makes you really think not just of the mystery, but what it's like to be human. You grow as the characters grow.
The story / events aren't shown in chronological order. It jumps from time to time - but it was a perfect way to transition into things. The soundtrack is just beautiful! When you listen to certain songs you can definitely link it to a precise moment in the drama. They are also played at the perfect moments.
When you complete the drama you'll feel like you've witnessed someone's entire life and that kind of made me feel complete. What made me love the drama even more was how it presented hints to the mystery all along but I didn't find them until my second time watching. On my second watching, it felt familiar but also shocking. I was baffled by how subjective I was. It amused me to see how arrogant I could be just like some of the characters.
