Honestly, my main ship in the drama was Cap and Yoon Yoo Rae. They were soooooooo cute!!!!! I loved them so much and I ship them so much. I was just disappointed that they weren't shown together in the ending. But I did like the ending with the camera woman and Hyun-Gyu they are such a cute couple. And I liked how Yoon Yoo Rae turned out to be Hyun-Gyu's protégé.

On the downside, I do wish the antagonists in the show were as multi-dimensional as the protagonists. The shadowy gang of leering oligarchs plotting EEEEVIL in back rooms felt preordered from central casting, with master plans that were too over-the-top to be really believable. I kept expecting them to start stroking Persian cats or feeding their piranhas. If you’re watching for the action thriller/romance elements, you probably won’t mind, but their cartoonish-ness undermines the credibility of the crusading journalists out to take down corruption strand of the story. It doesn’t diminish the fun, but it does make the show less socially relevant than it would like to be. There is also an odd casualness in the way that all of the characters, both good and bad, roam in and out of each others' lives and lairs with impunity. I guess courage is virtue, but I’m not sure I’d curl up and take a nap in the heart of enemy territory.
This is a show though where the emotional through-lines not the plot mechanics are the real draw, and those deliver with a vengeance. You’ll laugh and cry and smile and fall in love. In an entertainment world full of lots of explosions but few real sparks, that's reason to rejoice.

However, it's the sound track that turns this drama into a comedy. Half the scenes are accompanied by a mournful violin. Others are accentuated by loud symphonic music or fast beating drums as though it were a daring car race or exciting fight scene. It's hard to believe this was produced in 2012. It seems more like a home video. At times you can even hear dogs barking in the background.
What kept me watching was the gorgeous cast. It's true that Barbie Xsu is so beautiful that she could mezzmorize two handsome studs. But that's where any credibility ends. I love melodramas, but the sound track killed this one.

Compared to other sageuk, it was lowly budgeted but the lead cast and the plot would make you forget all its flaws. Haha!
I especially loved the female lead. You can see her growth in acting throughout the drama. Plus her delivery of the character was charming it would make you relate with her and deeply sympathize as well. Her chemistry with the male lead was undeniable I won't be surprised if they are really in a relationship. :)
The plot was not new, but it surely knows how to hook you, till you do not realize you are finally at the end. That's exactly what happened to me and i was left craving for more! I love the positive vibes of drama, the portrayal of love that would make you hope better things will also happen in your life.
I did not really expect that a sageuk drama could be this heartwarming and feel-good, since I have this impression that most sageuks end in tragedy.
Kudos to the whole team of KDSBH! Your efforts to bring this great story to life are well-appreciated.

Uhm Tae Woong's acting shone through. I admit having Queen Seon Duk's syndrome -where I fell for everyone there; literally- so I started this already in love with him. His self-centred personality and weird sense of humour were so adorable. I liked his dark side that doesn't reflect on his humanity. The way he taught Kim Yeon Woo was so enjoyable to watch. That killing smirk got me gaga!
Park Ji Heon's character was so cute. I'd avoid it though. This kind of guys is burdensome and demanding.. only cute to watch from afar.
I loved Kim Soo Yeon.. well i'm biased so! i loved how she never hesitated to express what she thinks and stands her ground. and i loved how nothing stopped her from what she believes right.
The reason why I pushed this drama up was writing a stalker's guide on Kang So Ra. She didn't have much to give here but she was cute in the few minutes she'd appear every episode.
There were so many shirtless scenes -due to the fact that they are athletes- and my eyes were so happy!
The drama tackled so many medical and sport related cases. Though they were so beneficial for an ignorant like me, I felt that many were forced. They were so touching anyhow.
Sang Bong's character was the best thing about the drama. I cried buckets because of him.
The patriotic emphasis on being a ''Korean representative'' was evident.
The emphasis on the Korean pork they were promoting was so obvious i kept laughing -side effects of watching so many dramas; especially King of Dramas-
The cruel and twisted fate of Park Ji Heo and Yoo Sang Bong was so moving -and kept reminding me of School 2013-
The music was cute but repetitive.. i loved the osts.
I was not expected it to be so much fun.. I didn't get bored for a second.

This is easily the best sageuk I've seen so far. I loved the story, the cast, the acting, the fight scenes, the character development, the music (which I cannot get out of my head), and of course our 2 leading men. I truly loved Choi Min Soo as Chun (the old Sky Lord) - and Jun Kwang Ryul did his usual impeccable job as Gwang Taek.
I just cannot get enough of Ji Chang Wook, however! He is fabulous in this, as is Yoo Seung Ho. The bromance between Dong Soo and Woon is the main thrust of the entire series and is done so well.
The direction (especially the fight scenes) and the cinematography compares favorably to films, the spectacular vistas shown are breathtaking.
Some other reviewers talked about the lead actress (Shin Hyun Bin playing Ji Sun) being too cool & emotionless - very true but it seemed to fit the character very well. It certainly didn't showcase any great acting skills, but since it fitted so well with how both our leads saw her, it did not distract me in any way. I much preferred the other 2 girls, much more animated and interesting. Still, no surprises that the aloof, silently suffering damsel in distress attracted both our warriors LOL
The story keeps one guessing, even if you know the actual history - which is always a plus in my book. Very interesting take on the whole Prince Sado episode.
All in all I highly recommend this drama!

The drama had a lot of comedic moments and humor. Mamorou was a hit for me and made me want to have such an emotionally in tuned pet. The relationships in this drama were very cute- between the lead couple, Asou-san and Hanae-san, Hanae and her family and friends and even the work relations. I liked the relationship between the leads Tanokura and Hanae in the beginning. This drama did a good job of showing how complicated work can become when you date a co worker. It also shows a bit of how single women are viewed after the age of 30 in Japan. I had no issues with the age gap of the couple. In fact i don't think that it's huge at all. The cast was well picked and the acting was well done for the most part. And Tanokura isn't hard on the eyes either.
Now the stuff I didn't like.
I was unable to buy that any adult female in the age of information and technology could be as ignorant of men, sex, intimacy and love as this lead female Hanae-san is presented to be. Tanokura seemed a bit mature for his age, at times much more mature than Hanae. Even though they were cute, at times the chemistry just wasn't there, it seemed forced and sometimes even like they weren't trying hard enough. The kissing left a lot to be desired but that is the norm in Jdramas. There was more chemistry between Asou-san and Hanae than Hanae and Tanokura. Which was probably the point to push the love triangle but this angle while there was potential was poorly executed.
By the end Hanae had started to annoy me. I was glad that she made the decision that she did in episode 9. That was one of the few believable things done in this drama but the progress made in episode 9 was undone in the last episode. The time frame in which this drama takes place, 3 months give or take, is not enough for all the proposals that are made by the end of the drama. The story by the end feels rushed and incomplete. Too much happens in the last episode that is not properly addressed or explained. This drama could have used several more episodes to give all the relationships proper resolutions and plug some of the holes left in this drama.
So to sum up I think this drama was cute, the concept was fresh with a lot of potential however due to poor writing and execution and lack of chemistry it wasn't able to be as good as it could have been.

Story - In the entire three versions story is somewhat same with some backdrop changes but twists are all same. Main differences which set them apart are mainly Direction and Acting.
Characters -Starting with Kotoko Aihara (Here Xiang Qin), she is really well played by Ariel Lin and the chemistry between her and Cheng Joe (Jiang Zhi Shu) is totally fantastic, the clashing of her unwavering will with Jiang Shu's cold and stubborn nature is really a treat for the manga fans, though I liked the Japanese version of Kotoko more which is played by Miki Honoka (my biased view).
For Naoki Irie(here Jiang Zhi Shu)...Hats off for Cheng Joe ,I really liked how he played the role of cold, Intelligent and distant Jiang Zhi Shu, from all of the three version it’s the best bcoz here i can see all the subtle changes that happens to his personality in the whole drama like how he is having fun teasing Xiang Qin and his frustration when he is clueless and dumbstruck by her actions, his journey from an arrogant and aloof genius to a caring and understanding (how he supports Xiang Qin)person is one of the best part of the story.
Supporting cast is one of the best; all characters are very well played by the actors especially Jiang Shu's Mother who plays a very vital role to set up the couple.
Music: Music is one of the best parts of this drama; it really goes very well with the whole series.
Rewatch Value: I already watched it 3 times ?’
Overall I think that this version of ITAZURA NA KISS is A must watch for all manga and romcom fans.

I like the way it was built around the female lead in a way that few Dramas set in more recent times are. And I especially liked the fact that Jang Geum was shown as learning her skills, through study, practice, observation, trial and error. Obviously, dramatic licence inflated her skills and achievements, but not to the point of being “magick”, merely hyperbolic and perhaps anachronistic. In the current era of “geeenius” everything (ALWAYS male), it was refreshing to see a Drama built around a character who came across as real, and who earned her accomplishments on merit.
The contrast between this medieval medicine woman and a shrieky female psychiatrist in a currently airing Drama could hardly be greater. So, while I won’t be watching it again, and wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to others, I am very glad I watched it all. A modern day remake would be a must watch, I think 16-20 episodes following a woman’s rise to medical pre-eminence with an (at most) secondary loveline. A man can dream, right?

I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't watched it but it definitely had moments of comedy, sweet tenderness but not overtly adolescent and tear jerkers.
