Before going straight for the "Not Helpful" button", give me a chance.

Today I read a comment on Facebook that said "Life is too short to say you don't like Taylor Swift" and although I don't particularly care for Taylor Swift, that post directly inspired me to write this review. Because life is too short to say you don't like The Heirs (especially when you love it).

When this drama was announced, to say that we were merely excited would be the understatement of the year. We were anxious, ecstatic, overjoyed. The perfect cast. The perfect writer. The perfect synopsis. Everybody would constantly post things on the page, coming up with various scenarios and plot developments (there was one where Woo Bin ends up with Lee Min Ho, my favorite, haha). It even became the highest rated show on MDL BEFORE EVEN AIRING. With each passing day expectations grew bigger and bigger. And then when it finally aired, they crashed. For most people anyways.

I was getting tired waiting for this "epitome of perfection" show and along the way my expectations dropped and I didn't care much for it anymore because of all the hype. But of course I picked it up (Lee Min Ho and the writer of Secret Garden. The most perfect combination). And I LOVED IT.

The story was a bit cliche but the way it is presented is wonderful. On the surface, it's a story of a rich boy falling for a poor girl. To make things more cliche, the girl is the maid's daughter. And then the maid is mute. Throw in high school bullies, ex-best-friend after the girl (also rich), a best friend of the girl who protects her (but is 'poor', so he is not a suitor). CLICHES CLICHES CLICHES. But the way the story is presented is a breath of fresh air. The kind of humor that is used is just awesome. There are so many instances I want to add here but they would spoil. The humor used here is something you have seen in Secret Garden and A Gentleman's Dignity. The writer has written a formulated story but she is true to her style and that made this drama extremely special. It's like she is saying "Let me twist these cliches around and present them with a new point of view". And it worked (for me anyways).

Coming to characters. This is the difficult part. I must confess I have a huge crush on Lee Min Ho (and admit it, you've had it too at some point of your drama-watching career). Kim Tan is someone you would either love or hate. There is seriously no in-between. You would expect him to be someone like Gu Jun Pyo but Kim Tan is a mature version of Jun Pyo. Somebody who has bullied others in the past but now wants to live a more meaningful life. But the similarity is the kind of devotion to his girlfriend that he brings to life again, that would definitely remind you of BOF. Aside from his atrocious wardrobe I loved his character. Park Shin Hye's finest role would always be Pinocchio. But here, she is not half-bad. I mean, sure, she has been given a typical role of a damsel in distress, working hard, being chased by rich guys. But she is good in her role. It is much better than Flower Boy Next Door. Choi Young Do stole the thunder. I loved Woo Bin in School 2013 but I fell in love with him here. I have lost count of the number of times I wanted him to get the girl or have the happiest ending of them all. He was the rough diamond of the show. The biggest surprise. Had all of us gushing and swooning.

The rest of the characters were also awesome. The adults. The relationship between Kim Tan and Eun Sang's moms was endearing and a high note of this show. But I seriously feel the Kim Tan's "on-paper" mom was wasted here. She was unforgettable in Secret Garden. Lee Bo Na was another amazing character (no wonder Krystal landed a main role right after this drama, she was seriously too good here). I loved Secretary Yoon and his son. I had a hard time seeing Min Hyuk as the smartest guy after watching him in heartstrings but he did a great job. Kim Tan's brother was great, I loved their relationship journey. Kim Ji Won held her own. Kang Ha Neul and Im Ju Eun seemed a little wasted on this show. But overall everyone was great.

The music was something that stayed with me for a long time after the show ended. Usually I download a couple of songs from a drama I love but here I downloaded all of them because I was obsessed with the OST. My personal favorite was "Crying Again" by Moon Myung Jin. And of course it was fun to guess whether "Love is the moment" is going to start playing or "love is feeling" in the background. lol.

I have rewatched this show twice already so the rewatch value is a solid ten for me.

In conclusion, I would like to say that this drama tries to give a lighter and realistic feel to the cliches and shows us non-cliche consequences of the cliches. Like the way Eun Sang's mom uses her notebook is hilarious. A typical drama would portray her as a pitiful character but she is funny and strong in her own way and holds her own despite her poverty. This drama is really great if you let go of your expectations. I honestly feel it deserves a higher average rating than it has, but then again it's just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own. I can only express how this show made me feel and the feeling is really great.

Its a very realistic story. about adult life, career, friendship and romance.
rather slow moving and nothing too exciting about it.
its very short and i finished it in a day.

i like all the actors and actresses here so i watch this when nobody comment about this and no synopsis too.

i will not rewatch it again as i feel that the ending do not have a ending at all.
incase people ask me where i watch this, i watch in a taiwan link, no eng subs. cheers!

Do not watch it for a really good plot.. It's a basic story, not finished and not well exploited.. BUT as an exo fan, i loved it! We see more of them. Even if they play a role, i think there are some of their personality in. The acting is quite good, but i didn't like the girl. She's too naïve, nearly stupid.
I recommand it only for exo fans.

OCN has the honor of broadcasting amazingly professional yet different and unique action dramas like (Bad Guys) , (God's Quiz) , (Detective Cheo Yong) , (Missing Noir M) and many others.
As a OCN serious project , (My Beautiful Bride) is surely one of the good ones but ... could be much better !

STORYLINE : 7.5 /10
A man who's totally in love with his fiance , suddenly loses her and through finding her , strange and interesting facts about him and his lover are revealed to the audiences.
The fact that he knows everything about her past but keeps acting like he doesn't have a clue , was meaningful and a brand new one to me !
BUT unfortunately the storyline losts the balance it had between action and romance as the story goes on and on ! The main idea was good but you can see it's not processed goodly specially as love story !
It feels like the writer just wants to sum up the couple's past and their complicated love-life at the few first Episodes , cause he/she insists on getting to the Action and Crime parts ASAP ! But the surprising and shocking fact is that the screenwriter of this drama (Yoo Sung Yeol) is the creator of the greatest action K-drama ever seen => CRUEL CITY !
I'm not saying that this drama IS NOT a sucess but who can compare it with (Cruel City) , U know !!!

ACTING : 8/10
(Kim Moo Yul) : After watching his unbeatable , incomparable and unique way of acting I was like : Where Have You Been ?! Lol ! It's such a pity that it was my first time enjoying his acting skills ! He truely shined ! and I wish he'll appear in more action dramas !
(Lee Si Young) : I mean what's with that character ?! You know sometimes you wanna punch a good actor/actress in face for choosing a pitiful role to play and maybe you punch the writer instead , for creating that kind of character ! Anyways ! Let's stop punching ! XD I really don't have any doubt about
her acting ! I've seen enough of her skills in (Divine Move) and (Killer Toon) action movies ! But hey that character was really a disaster !
(Ko Sung Hee) : thinking carefuly about her acting I don't think she was that bad but she wasn't good enough too ! I think she needs to learn more about natural kind of acting where you can find true emotions through someone's glance or even way of talking ! she couldn't goodly response to the feelings the first male lead sent to her ! (you know what I mean ) comparing to what we saw of her in SPY drama she has improved a lot but has got a long long way to go !
Other actings were also admirable ! thumbs up for them all !

MUSIC : 8/10
WOW ! I loved the unexampled soundtracks !!! And I loved that they were in English ! XD I didn't need to check the meaning anyway ! They really matched with the project.

REWATCH VALUE : 7/10
For director (Kim Cheol Kyu) , this is his first ever action drama (if I'm not mistaken) and as the first one ... let's give him a round of pleasure !
I liked the ending ! it wasn't very special but it was totally suitable .
As I mentioned the storyline isn't processed enough for the whole 16 episodes and it could be even more challenging and thrilling , for the audiences not to feel bored little by little !
Those action things were great and as good as they should be ! I really don't have any negative points to mention about fightings... e.t.c !
I don't have any plans for rewatching this now but maybe I'll give it a try later !
The drama style is my cup of tea , after all !

Thanks for reading my words ! Enjoy your action drama ;) XD

One of the very best action/romance Korean dramas around.

Pro: It's like a thriller blockbuster expanded into 16 episodes with better suspense than some Hollywood blockbusters. I am in awe.

Con: You will get attached to some of the characters and start banging the wall in exasperation at some of their actions.

Wow.. just wow! I really loved this drama!
I wasn't too sure about the story in the beginning, and I'll admit that throughout this drama there were moments were I thought it would go south. However, after I finished it, I realized I couldn't have been more wrong. The writers pulled off the storyline wonderfully. Even when the plot seemed a bit too complicated to execute well, the writers did a great job at it!
Now, I just want to talk a little about the acting in this drama. Honestly, this is one of the most well acted dramas I've seen so far. Park Bo Young and Jo Jung Suk have AMAZING chemistry. I would find myself playing certain scenes over and over again, just because these two are so great together! The way their relationship grows from beginning to end is so sweet. I also want to say that these two share the most real and believable kisses I've ever seen in a drama. Seriously! Whenever they were on screen, I would always look forward to how they would interact with each other. Part of that is because this drama has really down to earth acting. You can tell that all the actors have fun with their roles (especially the kitchen crew), and they bring that excitement to the screen. Not only are the interactions between Na Bong and Chef very real and believable, but the interactions between all the other characters as well. I loved watching the kitchen crew going through their day, bickering and cracking jokes at one another. Their acting was so real that I would forget what they were saying was actually scripted. It was fun watching them, especially during the moments where you could tell they were about to break out of character and burst out laughing! I especially loved Sous Chef (Kang Ki Young). Some people might find him a little annoying, but honestly he made me laugh numerous times throughout the drama!
Im Joo Hwan is also amazing in this drama. His portrayal of Officer Choi was spot on, and I was really moved by his character towards the end. The same goes for Kim Seul Gi (Soon Ae). There were times where I was a little confused and annoyed about where her character was going plot wise, but toward the end I'd come to understand and appreciate what she did for the story.
This drama does have some minor flaws, like pacing issues in the last few episodes and sort of a rushed ending. Despite all that, this drama is still a perfect 10/10 for me. I don't normally do reviews, so the fact that I came here to write this immediately after I finished it is saying something. If you're looking for a great romance/comedy/mystery drama with amazing acting and lovable characters, then give Oh My Ghost a chance!

Story: 9/10
I LOVED IT. It was a really unique story and I don’t think I’ve seen something like it before. I mean, maybe there’s a similar one out there but not to my knowledge. For me, as I’ve been watching animes and reading mangas as well, I typically don’t like having fantasy and romance together but this was beyond my expectations. I thought at first it will be a bit like Master’s Sun- a girl sees ghosts and then a ghost bothers her and then somehow, somewhere she’ll fall in love with the Chef but I have been proven wrong. I love how they were consistent with the story. Kim Seulgi was apparently a virgin ghost and has a grudge about it that’s why she can’t ascend to heaven. It wouldn’t be a Korean drama if not for the amazing fate (more like coincidences) that it just so happens that all the main casts have one connection all together- the ghost. The story about finding about the real grudge of the ghost, Bongsun and Chef falling in love, and finding out mysteries from 3 years ago while sticking to the ghost story was so great. I loved how they were very consistent about it. As a person who has seen quite a lot, I tend to look for loopholes in the story but I haven’t seen one in this story-wise. I think I really just have been rambling but I do like the story and it’s very original. The ending was a bit rushed spending one episode revealing everything but I found closure in it. Some people say it was your typical send-to-abroad and then a makeover ending but for me, it was needed. All in all, it was a cute story and I’ll tell more about how I loved the characters in the “character” section.

I thought this drama was worth watching, but I really don't think it met it's full potential. I thought it would be like Cruel City, but I didn't find the two shows at all similar. The tone of My Beautiful Bride was great, it was beautifully shot, there was some good acting, but overall I thought it fell short in the storytelling department and was not exemplary in any area.

Some highlights:
- I thought the chemistry and emotional intensity between the main couple was great. It's too bad they actually don't get to spend as much time together on screen as I would have liked.

- The fight scenes were on point. It's kind of just fun watching Kim Mu Yeol beat people up. The fight scenes are really well shot and plentiful.

- I didn't care too much for any of the other side characters but really liked Jo Han Chul as Park Joon Bum. He really made you feel for Joon Bum even though he's really sleazy.

Some low points:
- My main beef with the show was that the plot ended up getting really repetitive. At a certain point it felt like Mario was trying to save the Princess... once Mario defeats the bad guys and gets to the castle, the princess gets moved (by some reason or another) to another castle, and then it starts all of over again. I have no issues with the damsel in distress trope, but I just got really tired of it by the tenth time it happened.

- Cha Yoon-Mi was an awful and sort of a stupid character. I haven't seen anything else Lee Shi Young has been in so I don't know if her role was a poorly written or if she is a bad actor, but Yoon-Mi was billed to be a badass cop and she came off as whiny, mopey, and honestly not very good at her job.

- The story gets overly complicated and introduces a lot of stories without finishing them. We never get to fully understand the ulterior motivations of characters like Do Hyun's mom or Lee Jin Sook. Also Joo Yung's mom is missing during some pretty crucial points in the story. Why? I can only assume so that we can make room for more of Do Hyun fighting bad guys and Chairman Kang eating meat. Both of which are, admittedly, very entertaining.

In summary, i really enjoyed the love story between Do Hyun and Joo Yung, but the present day story of the show is pretty repetitive and a little disappointing.

Okay... this show is a BIG mess from beginning to end but it really saddens me that people keep downgrading this lot. Alright, we can all agree that ending was a total fuck up but you shouldn`t base your opinion on that alone. BIG had great potential and it should`ve been a longer show, only long enough to explore everything properly. Things happened too fast and there are countless spots on the drama but I ate it within 2 days or so. And at the right moment I finished it, I felt like rewatching it and that`s why I gave RV a 10. It was top entertaining and funny, the music was amusing, the acting - Gong Yoo really caught my heart with his comic abilities - and the lead character is very appealing imo. She`s not uptight like usual, she`s sensitive and caring and has some sense of humor for goodness` sake. She had me - when she cried, I felt like crying. If she was amused, so was I. They were so dense those two that everything else kinda faded to grey imo. Woooo... this is completely biased I`m afraid but why the hell not- this show had me weeping and screaming like a teenage fangirl and, to me, that`s what matters.
I would recommend this to everyone not for how great the plot is or how terrific is the ending but simply for how amusing the show really was.
BIG, saranghae! T-T

If you`re considering to watch this drama, I say go for it. Despite being confused by the ending and some loose ends left behind, it is a good drama - boring at first but it gets better. Some people claim it was slow but I disagree. I believe it is good paced so you don`t get overwhelmed with what`s going on. I also disagree when people say it`s too dramatic. Well, there`s a lot of crying involved but most of it around self pity which I despise and do not consider drama at all - it`s just straight up annoying yet it helps at character development - they`re human and flawed.
I`m currently watching a handful shows at once but this one caught my attention and I stuck with it till the end and... heads up; it is overwhelming. Like usual, everything is left to be fixed on the final episode so there`s a lot going on at once and we just feel very lost at the end, feeling like there`s at least a couple dozen scenes missing. Sigh. Well. Nothing`s perfect, I`m afraid. But this is still a great show.

Oh, and I must admit the fact she fell for him passed me by but now that I think of it it is kinda weird. Then again... whatever. ;--)

Oh My Ghost can be a hit or miss for some! The romance is butterfly stirring, the comedy will leave you laughing out loud and the suspense will leave you shaking on the edge of your seat. This drama was pretty decent yet the story line , not so much. It's not that I had an issue with the acting nor the characters; it was just the storyline of this drama could have been done better. At times, it felt like this drama struggled to decide what kind of drama it wanted to be; a romantic comedy, a melodrama, a mystery, a thriller...it just seemed all over the place and there were many parts ( and characters) of this drama I wished the writers could have spent more time on rather than rushing the main focus of this drama on the back burner in the last 4 episodes.

The acting here was one of a kind. The actors appeared to have great chemistry and Park Bo Young delivers another great role as the shy/timid Na Bong Sung and my favorite loud/pervy Soon Ae! I found her actions to be very alike to Kim Seul Gi's (Soon Ae) acting style which was very impressive! Another great performance was of Jo Jung Suk (Chef Seon Woo) and Im Joo Hwan who plays Officer Choi!

If I were to re watch this show, I'd only spend it on the moments of romance. This drama delivers in the Romance department and also talks about a certain topic that isn't really talked about in drama land. These 16 episodes went by really quickly for me. I have to say I was really fond of episode 15, which really redeemed the entire series (in my opinion of course). Depending on whose team you're supporting, you'll find yourself wrapped into the love triangle. Overall, I give this drama an 8 based solely on the acting.

If you ever see a 10 for acting, then you know it's a must watch!

Oh My Ghost(ess) was the perfect summer drama, with sweet romance, an intriguing story-line and an amazing cast.

The story-line was masterfully written- comedy, mystery, and extremely cute romance. Oh My Ghost was one of those dramas that could near-flawlessly tie all those things together. I loved the characters, how they interacted and how smoothly the story developed throughout the 16 episodes. I especially loved the growing relationship between Na Bong Sun and Shin Soon Ae.

The cast was perfect. Park Bo Young was amazing at playing the two characters. She was adorable and very convincing at both! Jo Jung Suk was fantastic as the arrogant Kang Sun Woo, and I found him growing on me by each episode. And of course, the chemistry between Park Bo Young and Jo Jung Suk was seriously unreal. :') Kim Seul-Gi really shone in this drama as well, and she did a great job as Shin Soon Ae. I loved her character! Im Ju Hwan was fantastic as the villain in this drama. His acting was extremely convincing and his character was really easy to hate. Last but not least, I really adored quite a few of the supporting characters like Cordon (he was so cute), the rest of the chefs at Sun Restaurant and Soon Ae's dad and Brother.

Overall, Oh My Ghost was absolutely fantastic and I really loved it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes FOOD, suspense/mystery, and really cute romance.

TOTALLY LOVE IT!
I love all about this drama! The casts, story, music, their acting, all of it! And I really enjoyed watched every episode
And I don't know that Jo Jung Suk-Park Bo Young pairing will be such a cute couple like this! They really have a good chemistry. I hope they will play in same drama/film in the future.

Because I really love every inch of this drama, I'll give it 10! I never give 10 score for any drama before, but this is really enjoyable and cute!

And my tears of joy can't stop poured because of last episode!
