1. The story
So... the plot of this drama was clique. The whole childhood friends falling in love, but... I love dramas like that. It's simplistic in the way that we know who will end up together, and there's less frustration with the second lead syndrome deal.
Aside from those things, the complications get a little cringe worthy because of the situations that come up that could have been avoided... but that's how dramas are, so I can't really complain.
2. The acting/cast
Nikki and Raymond seemed like an unlikely match, which kinda proved to be true because of the more intimate scenes were not smooth like butter. It looked slightly awkward for them to be anything more than friends to be honest. I feel like Nikki was acceptable in playing her part at work, but not as a lover. Raymond is Raymond, so you know he did a nice job portraying the character of bad-guy with a heartbreaking backstory.
3. The music
I mean, I enjoyed it.
4. Rewatch value
I would maybe rewatch it... but most likely not just because this is one of those dramas that is good enough to watch just once. It leaves a deeper impression.
5. Overall
It was a tear-jerking drama, yes, so if you want a drama to get you all in the feels and sobs then this is the one.

P.s ... don't know why the summary says Sha Xian Mo was a love interest of Qian Gu's... because to Qian Gu he was just her big "sister" and he looked after her with an affection and love seen between siblings.
Anywho, I'm sure you'll all thoroughly enjoy the drama without me hoping you will, as long as you give it a try :) trust me, the heartbreak, agony and tears you will experience throughout will all be worthwhile in the end!

Aside from his on screen heart melting smiles, Jerry Yan can really act. He can play a high power Hotel Tycoon in Loving Not Forgetting, and now he can just as easily play a quirky, Fashionista CEO. New comer to the China drama scene, Ron Ng, was also very good. I loved watching him in HK dramas and he did not disappoint in this drama. He usually plays a really good guy, he played a more mature part in this drama and became a bad guy as well as good guy.
I like the female main actress, played her part well as a confident fashion designer. Her stubbornness to accept & forgive Jerry Yan, drove me and I'm sure many others crazy. Lots of female antagonists in spades. Back stabbing in every corner.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. It still can't beat LOVING NOT FORGETTING which I rewatched several times. Therefore the 9.

Then news of Seo In Guk playing the lead role broke in, I was excited hearing about it BUT still doubting the pairing with Jang Nara. :)
But as the drama starts and the story developed in each episode, I got hooked and even watch it in livestream.
SIG & JNR's pairing seems OK as the story progresses but what I like most is the chemistry of the 3 psycho, ensemble to find Cha Ji An. :)
Seeing the 3 of them together is what excites me more than the romance of this drama.
The 3 actors (Seo In Guk, Park Bo Gum, Choi Won Young) played it so well. I hope they can get an award for their portrayal.
Just quite dissapointed with the editing in the ending, overall it was good and well-written drama, kudos to you Writernim...
I love the OST, I keep playing it during bedtime, it's like my lullaby :)

I do not usually watch melodramas but I thought I may give Secret a go (because i just finished kill me heal me and I loved the chemistry between the 2 of them) AND I LOVED IT!!! This drama is a culmination of tears, amazing chemistry and unforgettable moments which heavily provokes a substantial amount of sympathy from audiences!
OK LET US BEGIN!
STORY- 10
WOW!!! what a freken story! twists and turns at every corner! Its a confronting awakening to the fact that love as pure may not be existent HOWEVER the 2 mains don't let us down there! This was acting at its best! Clearly because i think i finished about 2 tissue boxes watching this!! It took me on a wild ride that's for sure!!
ACTING- 10
AGAIN WOW! GOD I LOVE JI SUNG X JUNG EUM! PUTS THEM AT THE TOP FOR ME!!! God they are too good as a couple! their chemistry comes so natural! Its like they're a couple in reality (but that is not going to happen because JI SUNG is taken :( )! Even the bad guys did a good job at being bad, obviously because i punch my screen whenever I i saw se yeon and do noon! So the acting was a definite 10
MUSIC-8.5
It was GREAT.....always had the ability to make me cry like a baby! But i docked 1.5 off because it just lost that happy feel...i know it's a sad drama but i just needed a bit of happiness
REWATCH-8.5
I watched this series in a day and a half! It got me hooked and I am certain i will watch it again just because they did such a good job with the chemistry! I love a arrogant, rich man falling for a not so rich, bright girl....its the romance we all hope for :D
Overall-9 :D
Its not quite a 10 because i think what let it down was the fact that it was a bit overly tragic (the ending saved it tho!! )! BUT i loved it :D
SO DO YOU WANT AN ENGAGING STORY WITH FABULOUS ACTING!
THEN WATCH SECRETS!
YOU WILL NOT FORGET IT!!!

As far as acting is concerned, Sawajiri Erika and Nishikido Ryo were quite convincing. The same goes for the other actors. However for me Jinnai Takanori's acting was overdramatic. Narumi Riko was quite amateurish, too.
The soundtrack was beautiful, although you can't help but notice that a couple of songs and music themes are repeated too many times during the drama.
Generally, 1 litre of tears is a worth watching drama, especially if you love romance or tragedy. The character development is interesting and the story can touch anybody. Nevertheless, I can't overlook the fact that I felt that an important question was left unanswered in the end.

If I were to compare Healer to any other dramas I would say it's a combination of City Hunter and Pinocchio, with it's own spin, of course. Healer was just so well balanced between action, politics (and flashbacks), romance, comedy, etc. It had everything. It made me laugh, it made me cry, basically, it made me feel all of the emotions.
Usually when I watch dramas there's one aspect of the show that bothers me or lowers my opinion of the drama. But this wasn't the case with Healer! While it took a couple of episodes to fully understand everything that was going on, the story was wonderfully developed and stayed entertaining throughout the whole show. I will say that there were a couple of things I was wondering about that never got closure, but you can really only fit in so much before it becomes overwhelming.
The acting in this show was really great as well! Park Min Young has yet to disappoint me and Ji Chang Wook was fabulous. Together they were perfect. Their chemistry was wonderful! All the other actors were perfect for their roles and held up their ends of the plot. All of the characters were great (even the antagonists)!
I really loved the Healer soundtrack as well. I think "Eternal Love" captures the essence of the show and I've been listening to it on repeat. Healer evokes such a sense of nostalgia in you. I can't quite explain it. I think all of the flashbacks in the show contribute to this.
Speaking of which, I loved the flashbacks! Of course, there were some typical K-drama flashbacks to romantic moments in the show, but for the most part they were all crucial to the plot. I found that I was just as interested in what happened in the past as what was happening in the present. I don't know if I've watched a drama that has utilized the flashback cliche as well as Healer.
Overall, I really loved Healer. It wasn't perfect. But in my book, it's pretty darn close. Normally I would make a big deal of how the ending wasn't satisfying enough, but somehow I think the ending of Healer really fits the show. While a little part of my fangirl heart wishes we were shown more, I'm still happy with what we got. Healer is definitely one that I'd like to rewatch someday!

The cast was really awesome! I saw some of my favorite stars from previous dramas and some new faces as well! All of them portrayed their parts well, and Jasper has really improved in his emotional scenes (from Pleasantly Surprised). Jet and Jasper's character both had fantastic character development and were characters with a lot of layers/depth. Both of their characters were what made me continue watching because it was just so fascinating to understand both of them more. Of course, the OTP was cute too. Mandy and Jasper had more chemistry the second half! The side characters were great too. They were consistent with their character and it seemed like all of them had a story underneath their exterior, which was consistent with the title of this drama, When I See You Again. I liked how the director was detailed enough to give many of the characters time to tell us their story too, adding to the overall depth of the drama!
Music was very catchy so no complaints there! Not my favorite OST of all time but good enough!
Re-watch isn't that high because their were a lot of surprise elements in this drama. Thus, I think that it wouldn't be as good the second time around. However, as usual, I would go back and watch my favorite cute scenes between the leads! All in all, I recommend this drama to everyone who likes a good romantic drama and some "politics" mixed in. Of course, if you're a Jasper fan you cannot miss this drama! (9/8.5)

To start things off, while there is a resemblance to City Hunter in the beginning the two shows are not similar. Healer is not a revenge drama. I don't consider it thriller and I struggle to call it action for reasons I will get into later. If I have to choose a genre other than drama, it felt like a Mystery-Comedy-Romance-Drama.
I found the story and plot to be pretty strong. There were no glaring plot holes that I remember and situations were handled realistically (I'm not including the tech and action scenes in this). Unfortunately, that realism might have been one of the issue. Every plot point closed without a huge climax. I want to my heart rate to speed up. I want to feel real anxiety for these characters. I want a sense of catharsis when situations are cleared up. But I never got that. Healer only managed to wring emotion from me twice and both were in the form of tears. The action scenes suffered from a similar problem. They were too sanitized. Too clean. Again, even if I know things will likely be all right for our hero, I want to worry. A show that can't do that doesn't work for me. The last big issue was the lack of comeuppance for some characters. For me, this also fit into the shows realism, but it really sucked to watch as a viewer. It all sort just ended. That's it. Move along.
As for what I did like, the characters were well written and well acted. There was never angst for the sake of angst, something I especially appreciated when it came to the romance. I thought the flashbacks fit nicely. And I enjoyed the general tone. It was funny too. Though often in a quiet way.
I want to give a special shout out to Ji Chang Wook as 'Healer'/Bong Soo/Jung Hoo who was my favorite part of the show. He did a great job switching between characters and I'll be looking out for him while hoping he works on his dramatic scenes. Park Min Young as Yoeng Shin never bothered me, but she's obviously improved a lot since City Hunter and Sungkyunkwan Scandal and it's nice to see. Kim Mi Kyung as Min Ja/Ajumma was also a pleasure to watch and my second favorite. The casting for present and past Yeong Jae and Moon Shik were also great.
I think the overarching themes in this drama are shown in these two lines:
But those people are like zombies. So we have to fight. If we just stay put, we might get bitten and turned into zombies too. - Yoeng Shin to Moon Shik
Media exist to diagnose the pain of this society and cure it. - Moon Shik reading the concept or mission behind Healer magazine
The power of the media and living life honestly and to the fullest. For everything Healer was and wasn't, it did consistently stay true to these messages. And while it didn't completely work for me, it clearly did for others. It's your choice.

One thing about this drama: You can't really hate anyone, even the evilest monsters here you can't really hate them. Because they are so good at being evil and their personalities and thoughts are so deep that one can only slow clap and admire such cleverness. The writer tries to make us -in some way- understand them and understand the reasons of their actions. The drama sets the premise that there's no evil or good action that isn't justified, whether it's right or wrong doing that, there's still a "valid" reason to do that in someone's point of view. We literally get into the mind of a psychopath. The interactions between every character (mainly the main lead and his enemy) are pure gold. Each one of their scenes is so cleverly done that you just want more and more scenes of them talking or interacting in some way.
The characters, my god! Every character is important, every character is multidimensional and necessary for the plot development. It feels that they are not just simply fictional characters but real human beings living their lives, struggling and bonding.
The acting is superb! I have 0 complaints about the actors job. It was PERFECT.
Spoilery part, BE CAREFUL!!
The only reason I didn't give this drama a perfect 10 is that I wasn't surprised at all about the main mistery. The drama sets some "misteries" about who is the lost brother or the evil serial killer but I already knew who was who since episode 4, so I felt kinda disappointed because I wanted to be surprised, is probably not the drama's fault, maybe is my fault haha but I wanted to be surprised by this and I just wasn't. But the rest of the drama was perfect.
