GTO 2012 has to be my favorite drama, so when I found out there was a new season I almost died of pure excitement. The class and school is new, but our beloved Onizuka is still there, along with a few others from the first season. I was skeptical, having fallen in love with the cast from the first season, but I ended up caring about this class all the same. The storylines were sometimes lacking premise and reality, but it was still very entertaining to watch them play out. The main plot of the season being Onizukas dark past at the school, and the loss of his high school friend.
Yusuke is still his crazy self, I think we can all agree he basically plays different variations of the same character but we love him!
We also get to see a lot more of Kurosawas acting this time around, and his performance in episode 10 made me cry! (No spoilers but grab a box of tissues)
No member of the class cast really stuck our to me, they were all good, but didn't blow me away.
The music score was the same as last season, and I LOVE it, I find myself humming along. Also, they use E-girls High School Love in every episode.
Anyone who is a fan of the first season, or loves a good high school drama, should DEFINITELY give this a watch. I loved it. Left something to be desired, but still a very good drama and I will be re watching it as soon as I get the DVD.

I simply loved the young innocent King. So loyal and loving, just unconditionally. Wang yu I didnt care much about and the empress Ki, although ambitious is quite heartless and cruel at times.
Well the drama is all about greed for power and how it corrupts people. Like the saying goes, "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts completely" sad but true.
My final thoughts: watch it if you are a saguk fan, but personally I loved Queen Seon Duk, princess man, Jumong etc much more.

The actors were amazing. Oguri Shun being amazing as always, played his role perfectly well. Ishihara Satomi did great as well. I did find her character a bit annoying in the beginning but she grew on me. They were great together more so than I had expected.
The music was superb! Incredibly amazing, especially in the special~ I could not stop listening to it. Probably one of the reasons why I keep watching this drama over and over!
It's just simply amazing and cute. I like the fact that it wasn't too dramatic or frustrating to watch and it was just refreshing! I recommend this drama 100%~ Watch the special afterwards. You'll be screaming *internally* ~~~ (FANGIRLING like crazy)!!!! :D

Alright, Jacquie...calm yo’self and chill. *Pauses to wrangle in my copious fangirling.* I gotta pull this spazzing down a level, and keep my raving to a minimum. Let me calmly explain to you why this drama is so flim-flammingly made of tasty awesome-sauce!
Firstly, it has all the right tropes to hook you: poor misfit unattractive heroine/rich Mr. Perfect hero. But, let me lay it all on the line because guys, these are just the building block tropes that NEVER turn into cliches! Rather than just being a dumpy, badly attired heroine in oversized glasses or whatever other weak-ass magic trick the wardrobe department typically pulls to make our lead "frumpy," this drama goes the extra mile without going the extra mile. Our heroine, Sam Soon, instead is legitimately overweight, without the "Let's Just Throw Her In A Fat Suit And Bad Clothes" trend. Nope, instead, we get a tall, Rubenesque female lead with frizzy-but-realistic hair and clothing that doesn't look like Barney's diarrhea.
Why am I going on and on about the wardrobe and physicality of Sam Soon? Because guys...do you REALIZE how nice it is to have a misfit heroine that isn't a walking joke?! Oh, and did I mention she totally has a spine? As in, this girl will ALWAYS stand up for herself, but simultaneously knows when to be reasonable at the appropriate moments and how to compromise AND negotiate. Basically she isn't a shrieking Too Stupid To Live female lead, and THANK YOU DRAMA GODS FOR THAT!
And as AWESOME as Sam Soon is, that's how equally kick-ass the rest of the entire cast of characters are! Yep, you read that right folks; literally every single character in this drama has individual personality with believable motivations, and there's not one evil antagonist rubbing their sinister hands together in the shadows. Every time this drama could have pulled a cliche, it didn't. Disapproving male lead's mother? Guess what, turns out she's multifaceted and nuanced! Contract dating? Guess what, turns out this acts as only the set-up rather than some angsty BS! Heroine falls in love with the hero first? Guess what, she doesn't morph into a doormat or mop bucket full of embarrassing bullshit! Hero is a cold fish who doesn't believe in love? Guess what, his evolution is well paced AND layered in backstory and frontstory!
Do you KNOW how amazing it was to be sucked so hard into a story that doesn't give-up out midway through like a deflated whoopie cushion?! Do you appreciate how spectacular it is for a drama to shrug its shoulders and go, "Hey, guess what! We're gonna put these two leads together through some bumpy trials that won't turn into melodramatic screaming-at-the-sky tribulations?" Thank you, My Lovely Sam Soon, THANK YOU! Thank you for showing that a couple can have disagreements and turbulence in their relationship without feeling the need to utilize diabolical parents, laughably stupid misunderstandings, random cancer, or amnesia!
You gave me a fun ride of a hero unwillingly falling in love with a heroine not his type, but kept it grounded and believable. You gave me comic relief that didn’t come at the expense of the heroine. You gave me some hella hot chemistry that was subtle but ever present. And, most importantly, you sucked me in with quality storytelling and amazing characters that had me finishing this 16 hour drama in two days. I honestly don't know if any other drama can compete with you, and I just wanna snuggle with you and your awesome characters, plot, pacing, comedy, drama, and cuteness!

First things first, I kept this drama on hold for a very very long time.. don't know why but i'm glad i picked it up when i did.
Story : The story stuck to the plot, about students trying to reach their own goals and the obstacles that stood in their way. I felt as if the story was a good one, the idea was carried out effectively and it stuck all the way to the end.
Acting/Cast : Im pretty sure everyone can agree that the cast was a good one. The cast were full of mostly people who were already on the radar of others, such as Jason or Suzy, it was just up to the cast to show the audience that they were more than just singers and dancers. Some of the characters though made me want to skip around their parts or made me not like them, but thats the good thing about actors, they can bring out feelings in you that you never expected.. However, they still kept me interested and wanting to watch more of the story until the very end.
Music : Amazing, i downloaded some of the songs on my i phone. Some songs are repetitive but they hold a lot of value to them. It makes you want to cry on how good the writers incorporated songs at the right moments and made sure they were good.
Rewatch Value: Although i loved the drama, It is not likely that i would re watch unless i was listening to the music. My reasoning would be the turn of events of the story, not that it wasn't good but it wasn't the way i saw it developing into. Also, the only cute moments were really between jason and kim pil sook rather than the main characters.
Overall: I recommend this drama, but if you're looking for romance more than an actual story, you shouldn't watch this drama. Yes it has cute moments, yes it has a touch of romance but this story is much more than that. It's like a slice of life or coming of age, the cast grows with each episode and learns to follow their dreams rather than their lover.

one thing loved the chemistry, and acting and they actually had love that was expressed in more than stares and those famous back hugs. this was a combination of The Glamorous Imperial Concubine and the perfect couple only these two were somewhat better, for me at least.but i still loved it and enjoyed watching it, but i mostly loved the first half of it and would rewatch it up to there, because the main leads where steaming up.FLAWS(may contain spoilers):with wu jis character traits he fell in love too fast, perfect couple did it well.
i mean you wouldnt fall in love with someone who u believe is your enemy that fast, he also became gullible and changed too fast, even lang ling wang Gao chang gong was not this softened(he was but in a normal way) and he loved yang xia woo like hell.
it kind of went off track and became a match making drama really, i mean too many impossible love affairs.but aside from that totally recommend it

Like many dramas, it's effectively split into two parts, although the second 'half' is quite rushed. Things are predictable at times, but quite intriguing at others, so it definitely kept me watching until the very end. Character development suffered a little, with only the leads making much progress. Some of the supporting cast get a little bit, but it all feels a bit shallow and forced.
The acting was generally quite strong. It seemed a little weak in the first few episodes, but it got exponentially better as it went along. Casting was also really well done and the only issue I can really think of was Eric Li, who wasn't very impressive.
For once, I know enough about the music to pass comment. I found it really good. A lot of classical pieces, mixed in with some modern, up-beat songs, which was a nice balance. The editing wasn't perfect at times, but it was bearable. I'd definitely need to go back and rewatch it to find out some of the songs used, since they were pretty catchy.
Rewatching in general though... maybe one day. It wasn't the greatest show, but the characters and plot were interesting enough to make me want to see it again at some point.
At the end of the day, I'd definitely recommend it. The main problem really lies in the fact that there were just not enough episodes, so that should clue you in as to whether it's any good or not!

The plot is very amazing! I love how each character developed as the series went on and how each character changed. I know some people wouldn't want to continue after a few episodes cos of the main guy but please give it a chance and continue. It gets better. I guarantee it does. Since I watched the anime and read the manga, I already knew what to expect. It was better than I thought it would be.
I can say that this version is different and is the best in it's own way from the other versions. It's light, cute and fluffy, while the Korean version is a bit more hilariously fierce (haha) I could not stop laughing while watching this version and the Taiwanese version is more deeply romantic and it feels more real cos they improvised a lot more.
I didn't really dislike anything about this drama cos the actors, they did exactly what they were supposed to based on the manga/anime. They found great casts to portray the characters and I loved that. I'm glad they didn't take the acting and exaggerated it (like faking). It was just refreshing to watch.
The music was good and it set the mood for each scene in the show.
I definitely rewatched this a million times and never got bored. I love his drama so much!!!! It was a never ending rollercoaster of emotions, from sad to angry to giggly, but it was worth it! I am happy to see these characters lives being continued in season 2! AHHHH I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE EPISODES! The suspense is killing me!!! YUKI FURUKAWA AND HONOKO MIKI ARE SO CUTE!!!! Perfect couple~
The feels for this J-Drama are so real! FANGIRLING OVER HERE! hehe! ~~~~

This TV show is real tear jerker. Hats off to Writers, Actors, Director, Music-composer, Editor. I fell in love with the characters, beautifully portrayed by all actors especially the 3 brothers [main leads]. They have done justice to the plot with their great acting skills. I fell in love with director's cinematography & eye for nice shots, I fell in love with background music that correctly fits every scene & moves your heart accordingly so that you can feel the character's emotions well. I loved how they carefully edited every scene and how smoothly & beautifully whole plot unfolds. 26 episodes seem like a lot but I promise you that you wont be bored, In fact you'll wish that this drama never ended.
I gotta say Kim Jae Joong is an wonderful actor, who is HIGHLY underrated... Everyone notices how good looking he is, how great his skin is etc etc etc but honestly I admired his acting skills a lot. He is PURELY TALENTED & GIFTED, of course blessed with great looks as well :) I wish more producers/directors can notice this fact about him being talented, gifted actor & cast him more in upcoming dramas. I wanna watch more of his acting.
Anyone who is contemplating whether to watch this drama or not, Just go for it & give it a shot, I bet you'll fall in love with it & enjoy it as much as I did :)
UPDATE: Kim Jae Joong won "TOP EXCELLENCE ACTOR" Award for his role in Triangle at Korea Drama Awards, 2014. Congratulations JaeJoong !!!

I have read countless comments of symathy for Na Hong Joo played by Park Ha Sun. I'm probably the only person that finds her character to be at first fake, then bitter and hateful. I don't for a minute buy into the thought that she was ever sweet and innocent. She forgets that she started the chain of events with her desperate action. What did she think her husband would do knowing that he caused her to take that desperate act over money? She made Cha Seok Hoon played by Kwon Sang Woo do something that he would have never thought of doing except that he knew it would save his family monitarily. Then when he tried to make it up to her and prove his love, she turned away from him. To top it off she goes on to blame him for the misery she creates herself and becomes a bitter bitch that I just can't stand. Now, I don't for one minute believe that Yoo Se Young played by Choi Ji Woo is blameless. However, I don't think she is the evil crazy bitch that everyone seems to think that she is. I think she was lonely and bored. She says she was testing them, but I believe she just wanted what they had for even a minute. However, the writer turning her into a victim is stupid and doesn't fit her character as a strong successful woman. Now, for Kang Min Woo played by Lee Jung Jin. I find no redeaming characteristics in this narcissistic jerk who treats women like objects and has no respect for people in general. I can't stand him. The other actors are fine. If you like C.N.Blue, then you will enjoy Lee Jong Shin's part as Hong Joo's brother.
The music is excellent.
I probably won't rewatch this.
I'm not sure if I recommend this drama. Watch it at your own discression.

Ok, Let’s see, why did I like it :
A – Actors: I DO LIKE how fresh and dare the roles is for both main Leads, sure I am a fan for them together and separately and I do believe they are very good actors, However , to accept a role that you might be judged upon from viewers as unfaithful husband and a cold hearted home wrecker women, this is intimidating ..
B – Storyline : The fact that there is no Black and White zones, it’s not villains and angels show, so if you are looking for a show like this, most properly you wouldn’t like this one , However this show beautifully mirrored how a human can change , grow to love, grow to hate , grow to be insecure even in the strongest relationships..
C – Most viewers who started the show , completed it even though they didn’t like it , sure for different reasons, but I would put this kind of drama on my drama list for sure , it got the factors that builds every good drama , good storyline with slow paced development..
D – The soundtracks , I needn’t say more, it’s purely addictive :) and well played..
Finally , the ending seemed realistic , reflecting hope , although I was quite sure the last 5 episodes could have been more invested and more detailed to enrich the ending more .. it left me feeling that may be 2 more episodes are needed.
Go ahead and watch the drama if you want a mature realistic romance

I was disappointed that the writer introduced subject matters but never discussed or addressed them. The story was very disjointed and the characters did a 180 degree turn in personalities. I personally ended this drama hating the leads with the exception of the wife. The writer stated this was not a reunion for Stairway to Heaven, but I have to strongly disagree.
This drama is truly a case of putting lipstick on a pig. Some will find it cute, I found it very ugly and disturbing because it was missing a moral core. There was no one to say, "this is wrong". It was the worse drama for me out of the 7 or 8 hundred I've seen.
