Seems like I and a Facebook friend were the only people who enjoyed that time travel. yes I loved it even more than the first 4 episodes. It has more heart than the present time.
Overall, I marked this drama a perfect score, ON MY OWN PERCEPTION. It may be not as perfect as it is, but a 10 for this is deserve because of its flawless storytelling, from beginning to end. To understand a thing, all you need is a focus, not on the scenes but on the dialogues, some answers are revealed there.
I actually dropped it at first, but seeing how some hated the Joseon setting but for one (the FB friend) to praise it positively, I got intrigued...and we then had the same opinion.
This is my first Yeo Jin goo drama (yes, I skipped Missing You child version). Impressive. I like him already. Seolhyun of AOA, not as great as our teen stars today, I bet was the perfect Mari. She breathe the character well with simplicity and elegance. As for Lee Jong hyun, this is my new drama of him too, and how can he perfectly portray such lovable character. I don't have Second Lead Syndrome (but Iship him with Ara..whaa chemistry) in this, but I love the character so much. The rest of the characters were lovable too. Anyone not noticed, but no one seems to be a villain. All is fair. Chemistry overload.
The soundtrack was so nostalgic. The shots were just enough for the eyes. The theme, is not just about humans and vampires. It is about fate and acceptance - and how I got to understand these fate and acceptance, rewatch the joseon episode and read the dialogue. It was actually mentioned there. This dramas' title was justified by the story. One of my favorite KDrama titles now.

A little bit repeated story but, still unique in its way
PROS:
1-Really sad Melodrama but ends in a happy way.
2-The relations between the leads are developed in a perfect speed not too fast neither too slow.
3-This drama can get you satisfied the ending couldn't be anymore better.
CONS:
1-I see that the final twist isn't good.
This is my favorite type of drama cause it's touching and the general pattern swings between passionate love, hate, pitiful characters and sacrifice. All of these characteristics can move your feeling really hard and that makes the drama interesting.
Finally, even if you are not a Melodrama type give it a try I see it's underrated.
Hope you enjoy it.

Story: Same old same old. There are evil and overly ambitious people in the palace that make the love triangle a tug of war for the entire 36 episodes. Honestly, by the time I was on the last few episodes the niceness of Lian Er was just frustrating and the bad endings for the evil characters weren't as satisfying as I would have hoped. Maybe if there were fewer episodes that kept drilling into our heads just how bad the palace people were and just how much they could torment our heroes it wouldn't have bothered me so much. Also,I did not like the amount of time that some side stories had towards the end. FYI writers: I DIDNT CARE! I found myself fast forwarding through most of that.:-)
Acting/Cast: Good. It annoyed me that some characters from the first series played different character's in this one. The main one I spotted was the old emperor in series 1 played 17th Prince's teacher in this one. Other than that, I will say that the cameos by 8th Prince and Qing Chuan were adorable and was a nice nod to series 1.
Music:Laughable. Every time a character would ask Lian Er to sing suddenly the music would kick-in over her singing and we're supposed to believe she was the one singing! It made me laugh every time. But the OST was nice and whoever did the actual singing was good.
Overall: Based on my review I know it sounds like I hated this series BUT, I knew what I was getting into from the 1st series. I WANTED to watch something cheesy, with over the top effects and characters I love to hate. And boy did I get it! It was cheesy and cute and the ending salvaged a lot, ALOT of the flaws for me! Glad I finally watched it, but I'm not going to continue with the series. This was a good place to stop for me :)

Now apart from the "Yeah, I know it will turn out like this" story, what makes this drama worth your time? It's the acting. Should I restate how good Jung Kyung Ho played his character here? And Kim So Yeon also did a very amazing job with her role. For awhile, I really shipped this couple and really believe that maybe somewhere in Korea and sometime near in the future they really love each other and is getting married soon (LOL).
This really is a good drama worth watching just because of the chemistry and acting from the main actors, especially Jung Kyung Ho. I know I will be start watching all his previous dramas, because of what he had offered in Falling for Innocence.

Story: It continues after season 3 which i liked and it went on with all the crazy investigations. It was also nice to see the romance evolve more between Dr han and Kang Kyeong Hee which brought a bit more
life in the series. The thing that i dont like is that every season there are new actors inside and the genius computer hacker wasnt there anymore and he was in all previous 3 seasons. Then again in season 3 there wasnt Kang Kyeong Hee which was a dissapointment for that season since she is my favorite actor in the series. However it all connected to each other all seasons and this one is ended again with a open possibility for more god quiz which i like :).
I liked this season most because it was the most easy going of all of them. Not to much pressure on Dr han and his problems and his brain and i think the investigations where a bit eassier to understand.
Conclusion: A very nice show that can continue till season 10 all i care of:).The investigations are fun to watch and interesting.I would suggest this show to everyone that likes crime/investigations and you wont regret watching it :).

Drama Special Series Season 1: White Christmas

The story of this drama was epic. 7 (actually 8, including Kang Mi Reu) students remaining behind at school during the winter holidays because of letters that were sent to them, because of the sins they had all committed going towards the death of a student. That itself is just an amazing synopsis and was enough to pull me into the amazing world of White Christmas. It's full of thrills, laughter and anxiety, which is all the elements needed to make a great psychological drama.
Everyone in this drama was amazing. Previously, when I watched Hyde, Jekyll, Me and High Society, I didn't have much respect for Sung Joon as an actor, but now, I have a lot. He played his character of Choi Chi Hoon exceptionally and he definitely was one of my favourite characters of the series. I don't know what happened to his acting over time, but at least I know he's done one well done character. But, of course, Kim Woo Bin (who played Kang Mi Reu) was, by far, my most favourite character. From what I've seen, this is Woo Bin's first drama and he did a superb job. His popularity is definitely understood. I also want to give my hand to the actors who played Yang Kang Mo and Lee Jae Kyu, because their acting was so great to watch. The only actor I had a problem with acting was Lee El, who acted out the character of Oh Jung Hye. I liked her at first when she was messing around with Mi Reu, but her acting dropped rapidly when she came across Kim Yo Han. I don't want to see that happening when a character suddenly changes. If the character changes, the acting still shouldn't.
I loved the soundtrack to White Christmas, it was such a lovely listen. My favourites were the Opening Sequence, and the one track I don't know the name of but happened during most intense scenes. Although I do wish the staff of White Christmas made its own soundtrack for the drama, but I still loved most songs in it, so I don't mind all that much. Not much else to say, but listening to the entire soundtrack without the drama is such a great thing to do.
I would love to watch this again, but this drama wouldn't be as thrilling to watch when you know what is going to happen. That's the problem with most thriller-psychological dramas. Once you've watched it once, you'll never be able to return to a state of ignorance towards the series, and enjoy it as much as you did the first time.
Besides Lee El's sudden acting change, White Christmas was a great ride to watch and I would most definitely recommend this drama to anyone. Anyway, I enjoyed watching White Christmas and it's the most compelling drama I've seen. Also, Kim Woo Bin with red hair is extremely sexy.

However, the script writers sucked.
Why, oh why. . . WHY would any sane person randomly insert 5 episodes of a different timeline without ever referring back to the main plot? This decision resulted in a cheesy, messy, and cringe-worthy filler set in ancient . . . China? Korea? . . . Anyways.
Aside from the 5-episodes long filler, this story was decent. Yes, it was cheesy. Yes, there are many, MANY cliches. But at the end of the day, cuteness slayed. If not for the fillers, I would rate this 7.5/10 just because of the main leads.
Give this a try, but beware the sudden transition into ancient Korea!

But what I liked about this drama was that it was done kind of slice of life -style and main leads had good chemistry. At first when they presented Shan Shan's character I cringed because I though "oh no, again dumb lead who acts overly cute." But after couple episodes I was melted by Shan Shan's cuteness and positive attitude. The actress is really a pro. I'm afraid same can't be said from our male lead. Feng Teng is eye candy, but the actor couldn't quite convey the feelings of this character. Sure, Feng Teng has cold personality and he doesn't easily show emotions but when the actor needed to represent deeper emotions I felt something lacking. However a total plus is that he could act jealousness really well and I was laughing out loud at his cute silliness in various scenes.
Side roles were enjoyable too. I didn't like Li Shiu's character from when she arrived to the picture but she started growing on me and I found myself cheering for her in the end.
A definite plus is that main leads mostly dealt with everyday problems of a normal couple and there weren't any specific villains and overboard damsel in distress acting from Shan Shan.
And I liked ending and opening, they really convey the feeling of this drama which is warm and positive.
Overall, a great romance drama about old subject; poor girl falling in love with rich man. There wasn't any terrible cliche scenes and main leads romance was funny and sweet.

MASK started off with a "Yeah, I know it will go that way" story plot, I admit I even thought of dropping it off for the first 10 minutes. But thank God, I did not, because the next 10 minutes was what made me engaged.
Despite of the not so original story plot, what made this drama worth watching was the world class acting from Yeon Jung Hoon. I had never checked out his drama before and I watched this drama because of Joo Ji Hoo. But, Yeon Jung Hoon did a very well done job on his character. His character, Min Seok Hoon, who is a villain, happened to be the first villain I really fall in love with in a drama.
As most people, we never bothered to hate, despise, and berate the villain. We did that, done that.
But, oh boy, I was wrong. I really fell in love with Yeon Jung Hoon and the character he portrayed! I tried to hate him, but no no just couldn't do it.
Min Seok Hoon was a villain (of course!) but he loved Seo Eun Ha like a man loved a woman, despite of all the crazy plans he proposed. One moment he would put on his mask as an evil, another moment he would show that he somewhat cared for Byun Ji Suk (the Doppelgänger), then the next moment he would shed his tears for Seo Eun Ha. This man is just beyond crazy! I just have to give a standing ovation to Yeon Jung Hoon to act this well.
I will not discuss any other aspects from this drama, because the main reason why I decided to write a review on this drama is Yeon Jung Hoon's acting. Well, the other actors in MASK are not that bad, but still, Yeon Jung Hoon deserved a round applause followed by awards because of his actings, he exceeded my expectation.
If you are looking for a melodrama with great actors this 2015, you really should check MASK out. The acting from the actors itself will make you stay put and watch the whole series you just couldn't stop.

What I don't like in japanese comedy work series, is how when you have watch one, you have watch it all more or less. They kind of always use the same patterns, and I don't mind unoriginality as long as it entertains me, but sadly it didn't enough.
We have our heroine, typical over the top always in a good mood no matter what, she could have come straight from a shoujo manga, it would have made no difference...
Bref, despite an unfortunate childhood (her mother died while giving birth to her), she's always so jovial and cheerful, and friendly to anybody she just meet (really!!!). She's overzealous when it comes to her work, and helping all kind of passengers is truly what makes her happy.
I don't want to sound offensive, but that's exactly the kind of story that makes me want to puke, too cheesy for me.
I really dislike unhuman character, who like to put others before themselves, every single time, who have a solution for everything, and never seem to care for their own life.
If it was an anime, maybe I would be less harsh, but come on, this a serie with real people in it we're talking about, for crying out loud.
I should have known better, I'm not really into comedy after all!!
Now, because the serie was made in 2001, you clearly see that the characters seem more natural and touchy feely (en tout bien tout honneur, bien sûr) and less robotized than nowadays, that I really appreciated.
I also like the character of Hanamura Shouko, the lady boss, she's quite something in this drama, the scene when she arrive dressed in kimono style, Ouwaouh!!! That woman sure ages gracely. I saw her in “W no Higeki” before this drama.
But none of that was enough to keep me interested, what a pity!!
