As a fan of the series I was not disappointed. I`ve watched the anime half a dozen times and the changes on the movie did not frustrate me a lot nor did this adaptation for the drama. The characters were changed as were their backgrounds and individual plots but for someone who hasn`t followed the parent stories this will be a great and enjoyable show. I really enjoyed it although the tweaks in L`s personality really bothered me at first - he`s my favorite character from the show hence I was in love with Kenichi`s performance in the movies so I can`t help it - but not so much to the point I hated it, quite the contrary... I ended up enjoying this new version of him somehow. Also, Misa was right on spot for once and I was way too excited to see Near in focus - the tweaks in the characters Near and Mello were very interesting and surprising as it was pleasing to watch many other parts of the anime that did not make it to the movie.
The acting was A+ concerning the main cast! Misa, Raito, L, Near, Yagami... everyone put on a good show. But Raito... damn. Those who watched the anime know how accurate he was dwelling with his madness. Also, the animations are terrific! Yay to Ryuuk and Remu! I was expecting to catch a glimpse of Jealous too but... '3'
I had the impression things were going way too fast at the first episodes and then it settled at a good pace about halfway through. I wonder how if felt for those watching DN for the very first time... it could`ve been confusing so I think it should`ve been longer. So many things could`ve been better explored since they made interesting changes on the main plot of some characters... and I mean Near and Mello. Because since L went from an excentric antisocial genius to an arrogant spoiled smartass, I lost all interest in his personal plot this time.
I may be biased but I`d completely rewatch it soon and recommend this to anyone regardless if they know the story or not. Oh, and have you heard? There`s a new movie coming up next year! I hope they bring Matsuyama back to play Lawliet again! *-*

One of the best xianxia dramas I say. I tend to be pretty strict when it comes to movies especially of this genre but with dramas it's different. If I can see good character development, good chemistry, good fighting scenes and decent script I can overlook bad special effects and production. But in this one actually everything was pretty fine- decent effects and script and I loved the characters. I can't remember when I got attached to some villains and loved them more than main characters like it was the case with JoF.

First I fell in love with sceneries, landscapes and all the journey they have gone through, then constant battles, adventures, travelling, and wonderful music followed in every important scene and the last I was mesmerized by villains or supposed to be villains. You'll start this drama most cause of Wallace and Zanilia (which was the case with me too, I love them so much) but then you'll slowly start to notice others and put the main couple somewhere behind, I didn't think not even slightly that I won't like Wallace and that he'd be so unimportant to me. But it happened that way.
Cause Sha Qian Mo aka Jiejie and Dongfang have to be the best characters ever. I got too attached to them, I was excited and so impatiently waiting for next episode just so that I could watch them, their interactions with Hua Qian Gu, their ideas, thoughts and actions. Some of the best lines in this drama come from them, there were two lines which have engraved in my soul for the rest of my life. One was said by Sha Qian Mo: "Bai Zi Hua, if you dare hurt her for your sect, I will slaughter your entire sect. If you harm her for the world, I will massacre the people of the world!”- this scene was for me so powerful that I got goosebumps all over my body; and the other one said by Dongfang: "You must live on, even if no one in this world loves you, you need to love yourself."- my favourite sentence in this drama.

Let me tell you about those two guys- Sha Qian Mo a Holy Ruler, the strongest demon and the main evil guy but oh boy how he was everything else except evil. I loved him cause he was all for fair game, for no games and tricks, how he saved many times most of the characters in this drama and how he wasn't hypocrite, he was honest and loyal till the end. I can only bow to him, sweetest jiejie. Ma Ke did a brilliant job in portraying him and his costumes, hair, gestures, beauty- simply he was the most beautiful character; beside him the one who conquer my heart and the one whom I love the most is Dongfang- the most intelligent and clever creature in this drama. I could write all day about him but I'll only say a few words. Cunning, dangerous, calculating, manipulative villain who used people only to get what he wanted and to satisfy his thirst for revenge. Yes I admit he was like that but I can only admire him cause from all of them he was the only human without any divine and real power, he was a human being who had to use his own strength and brain to survive and in all the process he did hurt some people but actually he didn't hurt nor kill anyone innocent. He protected, loved, took care of Hua Qian Gu by any means and nothing wasn't more important than that, not even his revenge. His chemistry with Zanilia was amazing, their simple touches, hugs, natural behavior, conversations, I rooted for them and they are one of my fav. couples for sure, somehow I didn't feel that much chemistry between her and Shifu, I guess it was cause they didn't show us that strong and powerful love like it is in the novel. Anyway Dongfang will stay forever as one of the character I love the most, for whom I cried, laughed and cheered the most. ?

And in the end about our two main characters- Zanilia was so cute and sweet, she did a good job in acting and even better she was as a Demon Goddess, I think she should take more roles like this one to get out from the image of sweet, innocent good girl like in most dramas. Wallace was good as always, his character was like that- so cold, emotionless, ruthless and brutal that at times I was thinking how she could fall in love with him in the first place. I only saw his endless love for her at the very end and I think their love was too destructive and wrongly portrayed, I couldn't involve in their story almost at all, only at times I cheered and enjoyed in their scenes together.
As for the rest, I think that everyone did a decent job in acting and what I loved about this drama is how nothing is what it seems. The ones who were evil demons actually were more humans than the ones who supposed to be good immortals and leaders of sects. I hated all those hypocrites in sects, I won't name them but some of them deserved to die in the most horrible and terrible way.

I enjoyed in this drama so much, it has many flaws and things which bothered me very much but because of those characters I came to love and because of wonderful landscapes, music and costumes, I overlooked them.

Definitely from my point of view drama worth watching and after watching you'll see why I said all this, its details, side happenings and characters are what made her to be this addictive and one of the finest in xianxia and wuxia genre.

Had the satisfaction of watching a lovely lovely drama after a very long time! 'Full House Thai' is really amazing! I can't believe how good this drama actually is.. the refined plot is really nice.. loved it! It has made into my top 5 and yeah I am giving it 10/10.. definitely a masterpiece! Blown away by the acting of almost everyone especially the heroine! This drama is way better than the Korean version. This is indeed different in a lot of ways! More logical and reasonable. Their travel to Korea made it more interesting to watch. A must watch for all romcom lovers out there!

This drama was very conflicting, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not.

First of all the story was poor, and I mean very poor. I had gone into watching this drama knowing this and having read other reviews along the same lines..but seriously the plot was very contrived. It also reminded me of Kim Sam Soon, where they have a marriage contract, go to juju island, exes come to fore etc...

I feel like this drama maybe swapped screenwriters half way through because from episodes 1-7 I was hooked, it was funny, it was sweet and a good beginning of a great drama. But then halfway through EVERYTHING got resolved, it was like they basically threw the plot out the window and started anew, and also from this point on we get boring cutesy moments not take your breath away moments.

The acting, was amazing, I already knew that Yoon Eun Hye was a great actress (Coffee Prince) and I completely fell in love with Kang Ji-Hwan. But really this was all that this drama offered me was to watch these actors interact, because the plot was basically non-existent.

The music was pretty good I thought, if not much variety. I know I got the karaoke song stuck in my head for a couple of days for sure. It was so sweet!

I will definitely rewatch a few key scenes in this drama, e.g the coke kiss, the karaoke kiss but really I would not rewatch the series.

Despite this I gave the rating of 7/10 overall because it gave me this guilty pleasure of watching them (especially Kang Ji-Hwan) in action, and the best two kiss scenes I have ever seen! *Daydreams some more* But definitely I think you should watch this drama if you want a fluffy drama with great actors, just don't expect much from it.

I would've given it full 10's but I wished there was couple more songs than the "eternal love" and "you", anyway. whats astonishing about this drama is how solid it is. the characters especially were incredibly written, no cliche's or out of character attitude.
and that can be said about everything in Healer
No Cliche's .
I find it surprising that the writer doesn't have an experience in this type of drama, yet she produced a masterpiece. The lines, the conversations, the little remarks and nods, and the way characters talk and interact with each other let alone her ability in sustaining the level of excitement and tension with the presence of mellow and romantic moments as well.
The Casting is a top notch, every single one of them ( Park Min Young, Ji Chang Wook,Yoo Ji Tae, the incredible Ahjumma, the crazy secretary Oh, Double S leader, the someday office boys. Yeong Chin father and the coffee shop ahjushi, also the cyber detective, and every single other person), all of them interacted in a lovely, hilarious adorable and convincing way, the evil ones were excellent too.
the action scenes and the romance were something I will never ever forget, best romance acting in K Dramas till now - with all respect to Hyun Bin secret Garden Romance-.
and I am sure that the fans who watched this drama will never forget the songs, and it will send tear in their eyes and deep nostalgic feeling.
I am incredibly grateful for this show, thank you for everyone who helped making it happen, and I Can't wait for the writers next project, and Ji Chang Wook too!

First of all if you are unaware this is the 7th season of the Zhong Ji series aka KO Series. Now you don't really have to see the other seasons, because it's like a show of it's own, but it would be a could idea to watch the other seasons to get the inside jokes and some familiar faces.
But i advise to watch the other ones because overall this series is really fun and different. You can watch the early days of Fahrenheit from the first season KO One to the first appearance of SpeXial members in KO one 2, up to this one that features members of SpeXial and members of the girl group A'N'D.
I loved seeing familiar faces and a different side of them from their previous roles, and getting to know new faces. It will make you laugh and cry and keep you guessing. You will think that you have it all figured out but wont until the very end.
One of the better ones you will not be disappointed.

I really love this drama. It's probably in my top 5 best Korean romantic comedies. I was never a fan of either leads but this drama was so good that I was won over. The chemistry and relationship between Yi Seok and Hong Do was both cute and mature. It also has some really good Korean Indie music to set the mood of each scene (think Coffee Prince.. btw, this drama was written and directed by those same people).

I highly recommend this drama.

This drama had all the potential to be utterly amazing, given that it was the live action adaption of one of the greatest mangas ever written. Unfortunately, due to the ineptitude of the drama writers, it was mediocre at best. This, in my opinion, is due solely to their arrogance in feeling overconfident in thier talent and biting off more than they could chew. I really want to stress that even though I am a big Death Note fan, my opinions are not due to them changing the source material. It is because those changes they made happen to be detrimental to the story, and the changes made ended up not making sense, contridicted the story or just came across as weak and shallow. The original story is nothing less than brilliant. This adaption is like Death Note For Dummies. Even if you have never read the manga or seen the anime, it is hard to miss all the gaping plot holes scattered throughout.

With all that said, I ended up rating this drama pretty high, considering. That was because of the acting. Kubota Masataka was simply phenomenal as Yagami Light. When I started watching the first episode, I admit to not really expecting much. However, after a while, I became deeply impressed by him, particularly during the last half of the drama. His descent into madness was expertly portrayed, and as I watched him on my screen, he was the mirror image of the Light Yagami from the anime and manga. The one change that was made that I ended up liking was him and his personality. Instead of the sociopathic Light from the original, they made him be a normal kid. He was friendly and good at the start, but his possession of the Death Note and his obsession with creating a new world pushed him down into a spiral of madness. It does make one think. If you found a Death Note, could the same thing happen to you?

Yamakazi Kento's L, in contrast to Kubota's performance, was rather underwhelming. In fact, he was very unlikable at the start. Fortunately, as time went on, he improved. Much of that improvement is thanks to the inclusion of some of L's most poignant mannerisms. At first, none were really there. It was hard for me to see this character as the legendary L. Eventually, though, Yamazaki begin to adopt simple little things into his acting, such as L's famous slouchy posture and his wide eyed stare. Those may seem like very small things, but to me, they made a world of difference. I started to recognize the character and like him.

All of the actors did a decent job. I especially liked this version's Misa. She wasn't as weak.

My final thoughts are about Near. I have absolutely no dang clue what was up with that character at all. I am still unsure if he was still supposed to be a boy, just played by a girl ir if they changed him into a girl and the translation was messed up. I also have no idea what was going through thier heads when they made all the changes to that character. They were all stupid and pointless.

The story was very interesting, but had to drop it as there was no English Subtitles after episode 8. Watched it raw though, and as I said, it was interesting even though I could barely understand. It has an open ending though, which I never appreciate.

The casting was well done. Especially Cheng Yuan, His handsomeness made me watch till the end.
The music was okay, but the dark theme sound at the beginning of the episodes kind of got to me - it became annoying.

The story - I watched for the main leads, but their roles seemed almost secondary to the bigger picture. There wasn't enough romance to really hold me. I skipped through this. Rewatch value - Definitely, when it's fully subbed. Wish I knew Chinese.

Was horrible. Another revenge drama gone wrong. I don't think even the male lead knew why he was treating the girl so badly. Bad story development. Also, that sister clinched for me. Crazy doesn;t begin to describe her.

Rewatch value is a definite "not at all".

The acting was bad for a thai drama too. Nothing else is worth mentioning.

Ok, first off I would like to confess that I'm one of the rare bunch who hasn't seem the original Death Note anime/manga, neither have I seen the previous movie, though maybe I have but I don't really have any memory of it. However of course I do know the basic storyline, after all it is very famous. So basically this was a new experience for me and it was definitely worth it.

The story was basically followed the original storyline judging from what I saw in the comments, and so I guess they did a really good job of condensing a 30+ anime into 11 eps. Solid effort. Basically it followed the storyline of a normal uni student who was living life like it would have been for him, but when he accidentally picked up the 'Death' Notebook, his life took a drastic turn from there. Of course life doesn't always go smoothly, thus someone will appear to try and stop all his acts of 'justice' which is where the 2nd main lead comes in, and they begin their battle of wit to see who ultimately wins and becomes the last one standing. The story was very compact, exciting and nerve wrecking as I was always extremely tensed to know what might happen next. I watched the whole drama in the span of 3 days, even when I wasn't watching it, my mind would unconsciously think about it as well. That could explain how into it I was.

Acting/Cast
Like everyone has said I think Kubota definitely did a splendid job acting as Yagami Light. Especially as the story progressed and as the character of Light became more and more 'crazy', I could see the change expressed perfectly through the character. During the second half, during his monologues when he was 'Kira' it totally made me believe that he was 'possessed' with that voice and his facial expressions. Thoroughly impressed.
To be honest I started this drama because of L's actor Kento, so during the process of watching this drama I was very emotionally attached to L. I know that they 'changed' this character drastically from the original however I guess I really liked the change of being a 'clean freak' etc. Obviously I loved his acting as L, and even though I knew he was going to die, when it actually happened it still brought tears to my eyes.
Other than the mains I already really enjoyed the side characters such as Watari, Light's dad and the police crew. They all brought extra enjoyment and feelings to the story.

Maybe I was too into the story to notice any good music or soundtracks in general as I don't remember any music. However just judging from the background music during the drama, it fitted the atmosphere and was generally well put. Maybe I need to go back and watch again to find out more.

Overall this was definitely an intense ride of emotions. For someone who usually doesn't watch the thriller, psychological genre I thoroughly enjoyed Death Note and now that I've seen the drama I will definitely go check out the anime and maybe the movie. I reckon the story was well thought out, while it also makes people really notice about what 'power' would do someone on the deep side of things.

This is something that I would definitely rewatch many times, since it's honestly really awesome. I definitely recommend this to those who's watched the anime or movie. Even if they did change things if you watch it with an open mind, it's definitely an awesome drama, plus it's quite short being 11 eps.
Of course I also recommend it to people who like thriller, mystery and the psychological genre in general. This will definitely blow your mind.

I really like the story because just like other detective/mystery movies, it makes you think. What I really like about it is that it will make you change your decision on who really is the killer. The ending is very good that it'll make you speechless (I talked to some people and they said that at the ending they became speechless).

As for the actors, Ikuta Toma really has a good impression to me when it comes to acting. As for the other cast, they did a great job, especially Kurokawa.

The music, well, it made me happy XD

I watched it many times and my rate for it didn't change.

For people who loves mystery and loves solving cases along with the actors, this is a good movie to watch

What an incredibly moving and well executed show. With a lot of asian period pieces you run into issues of over complicated stories and dull moments, but I found that to not be the case at all for The Princess's Man. The story was engaging and the romance endearing throughout.

Highlights:
- The relationships between characters. The main leads had amazing chemistry, but I would say that the epic bromances were sometimes even more engaging and moving. The secondary romance was incredibly moving and also very well done.
- Story. In too many dramas main characters are kept apart or tension is created for stupid reasons. This was probably the first drama I've seen in a long time where most of the secrecy, revenge, and anger are all rooted in pretty valid logic.
- A Kang played by little Yoo Bin. She might be the cutest child in the entire world.

Some low points:
- Song Jong Ho. I really liked him in Reply 1997 but he just did not do it for me as Myun. I don't believe he had enough range to play the arguably most tormented character in the show. Based on his actions, you're actually supposed to feel a lot of sympathy for his position, but he just seemed to be operating robotically throughout.
- Melodrama amped up to 10 at the end. As the stakes got increasingly raised throughout the show, the amount of tears from our beloved characters similarly experienced exponential increases. I understand the reason for the tears, but towards the end every interaction seemed to be weepy, sobby, and angsty. Not a huge gripe but I would have preferred a few more call backs from the characters to the good old times, when life for them wasn't such a bloody, miserable, hot mess.

In summary, this was probably my favorite show so far in the saeguk genre due to it's strong story and performances. I am looking forward to rewatching it again in the near future!

This drama just blew me away! It was unexpectedly the best production I have ever seen - be it Hollywood, or Asian movies/ TV shows. Everything from the Cinematography, the music, the casting and acting, the story, the period..... EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!

10/10 for everything. I still think of this drama even years later. I became an instant fan of Moon Chae Won and Park So Hoo. I watch all their dramas because of this one drama. I loved all the cast, down to the king and everybody. This story never lagged and the way it tied into history was enchanting as well. It all compounded with the scenery and cinematography - which was on par with Lord of the Rings!

You will not regret watching this movie. It even crosses all the genres. Romance, Action, Suspense, History, a little comedy, Fluff, and it's depth and complexity is also remarkable.
