There were characters that were annoying and did questionable things, what looked like the antagonists weren't really antagonists because no one in this drama was really a "bad" person. They are just shown as human beings. The characters developed and changed for the better. There were a lot of really heartwarming moments and heartbreaking ones as well, a lot of heart in this drama. There were scenes and dialogues that were quite inspiring. I would say that if you are watching this for the romance then you better not stay for it because the romance wasn't the main focus, but character growth among the casts. And the cast did a great job playing the characters.

Our main couple is adorable! I love how they started with almost hating each other. This is my first drama with actress/singer,Kim Da Sum. Honestly, I liked her in this and I think she is a great actress.
When I found out Ryu Soo Young (I first saw him in Ojakgyo Brothers) was going to be in this I was happy. He did an awesome job of portraying the slightly introverted, genius, Cha Myeong Suk.
Our main ladies: The two mother-in-laws, played by Go Doo Shim and Kim Bo Yun respectfully, embody so many flaws that you find yourself hating them at first. However, Yang Chun Ja shows character development that I rarely see for a mother-in-law in a traditional family. One thing I love about this character is her forgiving heart.
The second mother-in-law, Jang Mi Hee, is clingy, selfish, and stubborn. In fact, I sympathize with her daughter-in-law for dealing with her. Her character has no development whatsoever, except maybe halfway through the last episode where she gains some redemption points.
Speaking of her daughter-in-law, Cha Yeong Ha, her overall character annoyed me more than I'd like to admit. Cha Yeong Ha has a really good heart, but she is way too naive. Her husband,Ki Tae Young, is a two-faced character - acts all tough in the workplace but can't even say no to his mom, although he knows she is crossing boundaries. However, "justification" for his behavior is revealed in the end when he finally confronts his mother about her negative behavior. Was it enough?
Kim Se Mi, on the other hand, is too prideful and because of that I see the value of the plot twist she goes through in the drama. Her husband, Cha Dong Seok, is a childish, comic relief who stands out because of his undying optimism. Se Mi and her husband are my favorite side couple, mostly because they aren't a "traditional" family living in a traditional house-hold (an explanatory summary why they got on Yang Chun Ja's nerves 90% of the time).
That is all I'm saying for the characters.
Honestly, I was surprised that this drama was only 12 episodes since a typical family drama can be a min. of 20 episodes till a 100+ episodes. Watching it now, I'm glad they didn't extend it that far. It would have dragged on and become unbearable. Maybe one more episode just to nicely space out the resolutions that piled up in episodes 11 and 12.
Overall, I liked this drama but not enough to watch it again in the near future.
P.S.
I love the music in this. I can't help but dance whenever I hear the theme song.

Story:
story is nothing deep. it's a cute concept actually. well, it's a weird concept also. but i like how the story develops fast since it's one gacha per episode (mostly). so the story is not dragging.
Acting/Cast:
i don't know Johnny Jr. this is where i first encountered them. well, some have shallow acting but there are those who can act. a lot of eyecandies also in this show. and i like Suzuki Rio's acting as Miko.
Music:
OMG! after every episode, the song is stuck in my head. "Gacha gacha.. onii-chan." and whenever i see a gacha machine, i would sing that song. so a high score for that just for that reason. hahaha.
Rewatch Value:
i'll definitely watch this again. it's something that you can watch if you want to be relieved of stress. it's a relaxation drama for me. you don.t have to think hard for this drama. it's literally a just relax and enjoy the show.

I loved the actors and characters in this drama, they all worked well together, it's a just a pity the story was lacklustre. This series seemed to turn korean drama tropes on its head despite being a chaebol romantic comedy. The chaebol in this drama (Ji Sung) isn't your typical cold and moody, hot lead, instead he acts like an immature boy. Also even how his body acts is noticeable, other chaebols have limited movement with their body but Ji Sung uses a lot of gestures, I guess portraying that he isn't cold, calm and collected but playful and dramatic. Also the female lead Choi Kang Hee doesn't act like the typical doormat assistant, instead she is a kick-ass girl and former thug. She has to be one of the strongest female lead characters I have ever seen in a korean drama, she was awesome.
The other noticeable difference was that there are no villains in this drama, I mean there are rivals but they're portrayed as normal people not your typical villains like in other dramas.
Watch this drama if you want to laugh so much you'll cry and love all the characters, just don't expect a good story. I think this is one of the most underrated dramas, it's a must watch.

but anyways,
this drama was great for me because it was steady and balanced, it didnt really have complications that last for ages and huge misunderstandings (for example; boys over flowers) the lead girl does not suffer alot but it still had some plot twists and exciting scenes.
what i also loved about this drama is the skinship (dont judge me xD) in korean drama not much skin ship is included and sometimes that makes me feel lack of chemistry between the actors but in this drama they had full on skinships and amazingly cute scenes, I could've died from happiness and fluff!
the actor for feng teng (zhang han) did amazingly in this show because I really though that he fits the role well. and so did the actress for shan shan, because she's so amazingly cute.
as feng teng wasnt the typical cold guy and i-dont-give-a-rats-ass-about-the-girl person, and he was actually pretty nice, you'll learn to fall in love with his cute personality during the show.
I only had a couple of problems, some being the romantic sub-plots of all the other characters, maybe its just me but those werent really interesting for me so i just skipped them, but i would totally re-watch for shan-shan and feng tang again!
its a bit cheesy and fluffy but its a nice change from all the sad drama which are filled with angst.
if you love shows that are not filled with sadness, complications and suffering but instead full of fluffy scenes and shan shan's trip to being a mature person then i recommend this drama to you.

And yet I was pleasantly surprised.
Sure enough, the most prominent genre is comedy and it doesn't get too deep, but it stays clear of becoming shallow. The show doesn't take itself too seriously at any point, but still manages to have some heartfelt moments.
They do a good job of pointing out some differences in behavior of society towards people who don't match their beauty standard and also how this affects the self-confidence and self-conception of people not regarded pretty.
Of course these characters are extreme examples, but I found a lot of the situations relatable. Feeling lacking and uncomfortable with ones looks or envying how stuff seems so much easier to other people are universal feelings after all, even if society doesn't consider you ugly.
My favorite thing about the show is the narrator. He has character and an attitude and many of his comments are hilarious.
That said, I still found that for a comedy, this show wasn't funny enough. Amusing, yes, but not outright funny. But because they avoided the many stereotyping pitfalls this setup poses it's easy enought to forgive that.
This is a very quick watch, with barely 20 minutes per ep and only 8 eps, so they didn't have time to properly flesh out some things, but on the upside that also means it never drags or gets boring.
I liked the music, especially the song "Jikan wo tomeru Love Song" by Sambomaster.
I'd recommend this to people looking for a rom-com that's a bit different (even if it still follows an old formula) or who like shows that are a tad weird.
