The cast was ok overall with Kingone being the most experience of the lot. Hes d second male lead and started off well before his chacracters faults and choices made it downhill journey. Our lead actor is fresh faced Park Jung min. Hes cute alright but his character is immature and even after i cross 2/3 of the drama his character didnt grow on me. Still cutesy most of the time and lacking in substance. Its either the fault of the actor being one dimensional or the script and directing or both. The main actress Man Su acting as Mi En is equally cute and visually looks a good pairinh with Jung Min. But again the script and plot layering too deep on cliche sweetness, i didny even enjoy their interaction and relationship much. So in the end im not sold on their romance and find myself waddling in muddy paddyfield. Each episode feels longer and hard to get by.
I saw some people enjoyed this drama. So i have to say its really a matter of taste. Im a dark chocolate lover but being forced-fed with overly sweet white chocolate. Thats how it felt. So if you dont like the overly cute fluffy without substance drama then this drama isnt cut out for you. As in my case.

The characters start to grow on you as you progress through the drama, and most of them, besides the notable "bad guy" are lovable, or at least understandable. How attached I grew to the characters really affected how I viewed the rest of the show. When something horrible happened, I cried...and I mean really cried in some parts. When something great happened, I was of course happy, but kept at the edge of my seat with what could potentially happen next.
The music..oh man the music. It's very beautiful, and the choice of music at certain parts of the story may also intensify your emotions.
The story itself is what you'd expect from a melodrama; a lot of coincidences, a lot of crazy things happen, and a lot of tragedy and heartbreak. I admit there are some slower parts to the drama, but what else would you expect from a 30+ episode drama? I think what makes up for the slow parts is the chemistry of the cast (particularly the main roles) and the plot twists. Some parts are predictable once you get further into it, thanks to a certain character's history...but the opposition really adds those plot twists. I kept watching episode after episode some nights because I just had to know what would happen next.
Overall I think this drama is well done. I admit some things that happened in the drama were highly unrealistic but again, that's a "makjang" drama for you :'D . I loved it, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good melodrama that they could laugh and cry with.

It's a light drama.
Really liked their friendship, bromance, romance (somehow shy, somehow discreet love) ...
I like dramas that are not long, but this drama was way of too short....
Anyway, if you are looking for a pleasant drama that is easy to watch, than don't delay it and start watchng it right now

Sakaki is the older son of the Yakuza leader. He is the one that will be in charge of the gang, but, because of a stupid math mistake that causes a great loss of Money, his father says that, in order to become the next Yakuza leader he has to graduate from high School. He goes to the last year of high school, undercover because no one can know he is related to Yakuza. How can na Yakuza go undercover to the school? From the way of talking to the attitude we think that it will be a disaster!
At first he hates it, but then he learns more than just Physics or English. This drama remind me of "Beauty and the Beast". Because even an Yakuza leader-to-be can have a heart, if someone dares to see it.
This is pure comedy, with feelings inside. Friendship, love, loyalty, it's all in here! Nagase Tomoya is HILARIOUS and I laughed so hard with his faces, and his way of talking that my belly hurt. Its is a good drama if you are looking for a good, light comedy. The final song fits like a glove, it's awesome! Now when I hear it I can only imagine Sakaki.
I hope you enjoy it. :)

Yet again a wonderful, beautiful, inspiring, realistic, rich of humane emotions one peace of art written by Yuji Sakamoto. Woman has managed to stay real to the core and majestic even though the whole story does very much emphasize on real depressing facts which we see in our day-to-day life yet it still managed to be optimistic and full of hope leaving you feeling warm and hopeful yourself. Hope is a great thing, and that's essentially the message of this show.
"Woman -My Life for My Children-", tells the story of a single mother who struggles with money, living her life for her children who she loves so dearly. Woman depicts a woman's fight to survive in a difficult world, whilst shedding light on problems rooted in Japanese society in specific. Although I'm not related to the Japanese society in anyway but I can to some extent relate to the culture and its drawbacks especially towards women in "family oriented societies" which is why I find this drama very compelling and rewarding.
The story touch on motherhood, how motherhood is not a switch you can turn on and off once a mother, forever a mother. However, there are mothers who never chose to be a mother. This is about Koharu's motherhood and although she questions herself whether or not she is fit to be a mother, personally I think the real question is whether or not you "want" to be a mother. This is what matters.
What else makes "Woman" very special? Well, Woman had some of the most commonly/overused cliches in Asian dramas not just J dramas and as a drama viewer, you can either choose to be turned off by it and quit watching or enjoy the awesome acting and put aside the logic of it all. But here there is a 3rd option! Woman. I was taken by the unshakeable resolve of Koharu's attitude and the fact that she never allowed herself to get swallowed by self-pity and rejection. She took it upon herself that she has to survive and at least allow her kids to grow old enough for them to become independent. That was one of the most inspiring motherly acts I've ever witnessed in Asian drama.
Although she had many things going on with her family instead of disintegrating and falling apart, they choose to unite and set aside feelings of bitterness and hatred. After all family is what matters you need to try and open up your heart for them to reach you. The drama is blessed with a beautiful striking dialogue one of the best really.
According to my research on this drama, I‘ve come to know that Woman has managed to obtain huge rave especially to women among the J audience (which made me happy). Why wouldn’t it? We get the ever-so realistic performance by Hikari Mitsushima, and a stellar cast to drive the story (Hikari is the queen of them of course). Not to mention the compelling script that takes you inside Koharu's struggles and her sweet moments with her two adorable children, the drama unfolds the daily life of a young family just trying to find peace and happiness... I sincerely urge you to watch this drama although it isn't a drama made for entertainment purposes but it is nonetheless entertaining, rewarding, insightful and precious especially to women :)

First, i really want to say how pretty is Satomi in this drama lol. I started watch this drama because so many people recommending it an saying that this drama is really good. So, here is my review. (may contain spoiler!!)STORY.
i really interested with the plot, at first. Honestly expect so many things happen. I don't want to deny that the plot is really refreshing. It is new, never i saw any drama with plot like this. Basically more focused on the sisters' relationship and the romance is really didn't have any impact for those who searching for romance based drama plot. I felt like even though this is new, the story didn't have any impactful climax. All the problems are settled really quickly. I don't really get the emotional effect like it should be with all those sad emotional scene. Maybe because i never or rarely watch japan's drama, so it could be japan's trade mark with this kind of emotions.
ACTING-CHARACTER
even though i am not really get the eye-candy face from the male the female cast are really pretty. i feel like this drama character aren't strong enough. it feels they are just changing to different personality as the drama goes towards the end. Like in the beginning it said Hazuki are really meticulous and clean freak etc but turns out to be clumsy later. Misaki suddenly turns into cry baby but it told that she is kinda tough girl and stuff. The acting deliver, well i am not a pro, but i really don't get the emotional effect as it should. i already said that before the plot and the acting didn't really blend and it didn't have any impact for me.
MUSIC.
i don't really pay attention to this aspect, as usual, because i am more focused on the plot and stuff. The song that really catch my ears--and the most played in the whole drama is titled Happiness and it is really good! :D another good point.
OTHER STUFF
First, i don't really get why the character in the drama are not really...emotional? like where the scene when Hazuki money is stolen by her mom and turns out her mom's 'boyfriend' scam her, she didn't really get angry like ???? okay, she express the anger but it feels like it was really plain. When something big/bad/sad happened they just got a lil bit annoyed and it past like nothing happen. And the next day they were like 'oh nothing happened everything is okay' . And on the positive sides, the places they take to shoot are all really pretty! especially apple seed cafe. IT IS REALLY CUTE lol
p.s: the scene where misaki deliver her baby is fucking weird (i am sorry because i was like wtf????)
WILL I WATCH IT AGAIN?
maybe later, when i don't have anything to watch.
OVERALL THOUGHT
this drama is recommended for you whose not into heavy conflict or dramatic emotional roller-coaster, and not seeking for romance type drama. I wanted to give this drama a high point IF it's for a light typed plot and family oriented category. It feels at some point the progress is too rushed and it will be good if this drama have longer episode the elaborate the character and the plot as well.

When I first started this drama, I was really excited. I love romantic stories where two friends discover that they have been in love all along, so I thought this drama would be really enjoyable. Contrary to what many others have said, I don't think that their relationship itself was boring. Ha Ji Won (Oh Ha Na) and Lee Jin Wook (Choi Won) are cute together, and they found the perfect balance between friendship and romantic love. I also liked how the story switched between present day and flashbacks to their time in high school—as the viewer, this allowed you to grow with their relationship and learn more about them throughout.
Now for the bad. The drama only revolved around the two main characters. There was very little personal growth/development of the secondary characters. When the drama introduced new characters, they only feel like obstacles to the main couple's relationship. The story was very repetitive—Oh Ha Na and Choi Won would find a perfect balance of friendship and begin to grow in their relationship, and then a new character would get in the way for a little while. That character, rather than growing, would just cause problems and then fade away. Then the couple would return to their happy lives before repeating the cycle all over again. Rather than learn from this never-ending cycle, Oh Ha Na and Choi Won didn't really grow as characters and instead dealt with each problem much in the same way.
Rather than being bored by this drama, I am just frustrated beyond belief. The acting is good but not spectacular (and Ha Ji Won did a lot of deer-in-the-headlights-staring instead of reacting emotionally). The music was also good but not great. Overall, the drama maybe had some underlying message about the trials of life (?) It was hard to say because there was very little development. My rewatch value is obviously low because I dropped the drama and have no desire to pick it up anytime soon.
If friendship-to-love romances are your thing and you have a high tolerance for frustrating characters, I would suggest you maybe try this drama (but don't take my word on that). Otherwise, I would suggest you try something else.
If you have finished this drama and want to refute my review, please leave a comment! Like I said, I dropped after 6 episodes so I'm interested to know if the drama changes. I'd love to know what other people think :)

Pied Piper was a series which I have enjoyed watching with some dark plots. From my perspective it started a bit slow and boring, but gradually improved in quality. The series mislead you several times about the identity of Pied Piper, which makes you wonder at the end if it was really him (of course until it is known for sure in the last few episodes).
Though I wouldn't rewatch this series as it is not fun anymore once you know all about Pied Piper's identity from the beginning.
A dark, but great series from my point of view and I would give it a well-deserved 7.5.

It's hard for me to think of this as a "drama" - it's more so an interesting view at the contemporary Chinese woman. This series dabbles a bit into the misogyny that the Chinese are known for - roles women should play in society, the value of a daughter, etc. It also looks at the vanity some women have, and the emphasis placed on it in asia - how important it is to have a house, a car, brand name bags and clothes. *disclaimer: I lived with a bunch of "wealthy second generation" chinese students who got sent overseas for college, it's a pretty accurate portrayal based on what I've seen*
These elements, combined with incredible writing and character development made this one of the best dramas I've had the pleasure of sitting through. Each girl is unique and has their respective strengths and weaknesses, and after sitting through their struggles, you end up loving them, hating them, pitying them and feeling good for them, all excellently slated together in a way that warms your heart. (I also liked how some of them had legit Shanghai accents too)
I will note though, there really isn't a male lead - the male roles you see (Wang Kai, the guy who plays Wei Wei, Jin Dong) all play reoccurring supporting roles. This came off as a bit odd at first to me, because I am accustomed to having male/female leads, but it really doesn't detract from the show at all.
Apparently they've decided to do another season (at least from what I could see doing a quick google search) using the exact same cast, so you won't have to worry much about the series' somewhat open ended ending.
This looked like it would be boring, and I honestly gave it a watch just because I saw Jiang Xin - but this is probably one of the few dramas I've watched that go over 40 eps where I didn't skip through some dialogue because I ended up losing interest in a particular character. Absolutely worth watching!

The main actor REALLY just reading the script.... No feeling what so ever... I give the credit for veteran actor... No doubt about that... But the main cast... especially Kang Min Kyung...Nothing natural about her emotion. Generally the story kinda good for daily drama but the writing and the plot...
I hate how Ah Reum and Young Gwang breakup and back together again then later breakup again... One breakup it enough... It just waste the time cuz the main story it about AhReum and KangHo. And their story actually nice, marriage with to revenge in mind and later falling in love... But, the part that was suppose to be romantic just painful to watch...
I love the story about Ah Reum sister... How she get even with her husband. She not type the woman who accept anything without doing something. The way she make her husband lost everything because an affair, just sweet.
I give credit to villain in this story, Mother and daughter.... Kim Yoo Mi just act in two drama and she have potential to be better actress. She playing as jerk, stupid and childish but somehow she make me feel sorry for her. Her tear bring sad feel more than KangMinKyung.
Overall... Just watch if you have nothing to see... But better find something else...
