This movie its sad. I wanted to say that. Actually, sad its an understatement. This will be the whole review. If you wanna watch something sad by definition, do it. But be aware of mentions and scenes of homo**obia. The acting is amazing, they re able to make you feel the sadness, trauma and anger the protagonist felt.
Besides the beating scene that made me happy because that horrible human deserved it, its sad all the way through. Even the 18+ scenes have some kind of sad feel to them. The ending its, again, sad (no surprise there). I wish this would ve had a sequel or something because the characters deserved one and i wanted to see if they ever meet again and maybe have a happy ending. I guess we cant always get one.

Song Joong Ki as a pining wolf boy in the '60s countryside: a "must see" ^^
The story is centred around the encounter in the '60s in the countryside of a young woman and a "wolf boy", a young man clearly not used to human interactions and society rules. I loved a lot the premise of this movie as well as its setting in the past. It allowed a certain suspension of disbelief. What could seem impossible made indeed much more sense in the context of a small rural village in the sixties and after the war context. Story-wise, it was fascinating to see the development of the relationship between the two main protagonists. The only little default is the "contemporary" storyline which I felt did not add much to film overall. This movie is starring some actors and actresses that I generally like. The pairing between Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young works pretty well. The first one manages to transmit a lot of emotions without any need for dialog, the viewer is able to see everything through the eyes of his character. The second one does also a very good job as the central figure to the story, with a lot of poignant scenes successfully acted. Yoo Yeon Seok was excellent: I was quite shocked to see him in an antagonist role and he surpassed my expectations playing a despicable character. Jang Young Nam, in a supporting role, gives once again a great performance as the motherly figure trying her best to make lemonade with the lemons that life gave her.
Though some of the visual effects feel a bit outdated, the production value is pretty good overall. I found the sceneries and decors really well made: some were frightening and providing a chilling atmosphere, some were heart-warming and bright. There is one specific scene where music is particularly important that I liked a lot. The remaining soundtrack was not necessarily memorable.
I would recommend this to people looking for a good movie, well-acted with an interesting plot balancing pretty well several genres. It is a quite surprising and effective melange of slice-of-life and fantasy with some elements of thriller and romance. If you love one of the actors/actresses of the cast, it is a "must see". Strangely enough, even if the scenario has nothing to do with it, it kind of remind me in a way of "Titanic" in terms of relationships, characters and plot structure.

Mestres do Yin-Yang: O Sonho da Eternidade

A perfect story
The story was captivating, the pace was really good and the storytelling was almost flawless from beginning to end. CGI, costumes and make up were stunning, the choreography of the fights was awesome.I appreciate it a lot that they took their time to tell everyone's story (expect for Bora's, that one came up short, though you might argue whether their was actually enough told for the story). That way I could connect with them, understand their actions and enjoy their adventure. The acting added its sweet part as well, so there wouldn't be anything to complain about. I mean, there was no dull moment, not even for a second.
The music was fantastic. Sweet and melancholic, creating a perfect mood.
A round about satisfying watch that depicts the concept of "Yin and Yang" in an understandable and impressive way. As a side snack you get a nice bromance, too~
(On a side not, what I didn't get was the serpent at the beginning and the one from the main story... That one wasn't the same, was it? But if not, why were there more than one? The story sounded like there was only one. But if it was that one, how's that possible since the main one was concealed at that time?)

UGHHHH....
I know this about Unrequited Love, but still not hoping to have these kinda trail in my heart & mind.WARNING!!! I'll gonna write some spoiler, so if you don't wanna know just skip reading my review then.
This movie about many UNFINISHED unrequited Love. Just like bitchyleila wrote: 'Overall this movie tells you that unrequited love or one sided love affairs in real life never has a happy ending'. Yeah I must agree, many of our unrequited Love still remain unfinished until the end. But my biggest turn off is the story here not necessary need to be unfinished. Many of the story can have finished story to tell us, but they decided to close it with open ending. That's what pissed me off.
From all the story here, the finished one is only the 4th story and maybe the 1st story, the other is UNFINISHED story. Really hope that this is a drama instead just movie. So we can have longer duration to tell the story until it finished. Or maybe have less story to tell, so they can use the duration to at least finished the story...

Art
I watched this movie in Japanese with English subtitles at a Japanese film Festivsal. As I understand a bit of Japanese and due to my experience in watching dramas and movies that are subbed
by various persons with various skills, I was horrified by the provided official translations.
Fortunately, what was said had less importance than how it was said -- this is an art film.
The show consists of four unrelated stories; one actress is playing the main role in all of them,
hence it felt like four theater pieces. The acting is very good! A various range of feelings
are conveyed. It is not an easy movie -- I was a bit depressed and full of consideration
for what the Japanese people must have felt during the very hard time of covid.

Pleasant and Modern
I watched this movie with English subtitles at a Japanese Film Festival.I liked very much the movie, as most of the movies by this director.
While it is for sure an rt film, it is good enough to have success to the larger scale of audience.
Very impressive in this movie are the beautiful views: nature with mountains and lake with strips of fog,
but also the small streets in the shopping center in Tokyo, the lovely details of the old public bath,
the authentic small Japanese (but also Ethiopian) restaurants, the lovely portraits of the old men and women.
We feel the delicacy and the love of the film creators towards their subjects.
The story is credible at every moment and I feel it gives a good slice of life. It has the right amount of tragic
and of poetics.

Art
I watched this movie with English subtitles at a Japanese Film Festival. It is an art film, a fact that you recognize from the first seconds till somewhere to the middle of the movie.
The work with the camera is very searched, at the begin it is really hard to follow its movements and
unexpected view angles, yet after a while you get used with it. The voice of the main lead tells the story
as she is writing her journal -- almost the whole movie.
The camera, the story, the acting -- all work together in order to convey very good the feelings that the creators
wanted to convey. Many of the spectators around me were crying or laughing or happily smiling or even singing
according to what happened on the screen.
I liked very much to see the power of friendship at action and the strength of the main lead.

decent until the end
[The spoilers are for the ending.]As described, this movie focuses on the relationship between two housemates who have very different ideas of how to keep a home and how to approach life. The 'plot' is divided into four, probably-meant-to-be-connected-but-in-actuality-not-really acts. This vibe suits a slice-of-life drama much more than a film. I would actually watch this tv show, but as a movie it was cramped and hard to follow.
It seems one-sided in Ako's favour until the final act, where there is a confrontation scene between the two that was deeply satisfying. That was the best scene in the whole film.
The last 5 minutes are definitely the worst part. It is heavily implied that the strange family that visited are the ones to rob Ako, but the missing stone appears in a random part of the forest with no explanations (insinuated, offered, or otherwise) that could explain how it appeared there. Then there is a random supernatural element that is wholly out of place. The fact that this is the ending really undoes whatever suspension of disbelief (and affection, honestly) that the audience builds during the course of the movie.
The music gets a high score because it's relevant for act 1.

I really enjoyed watching this film. The pace, the feeling of chaos, the diplomatic infighting that must go on, the old guard verses a more proactive approach. I thought the two male leads did a fantastic job backed up by the translator, the support actors did a really good job adding to the atmosphere. The cinematography was brilliant, capturing the stunning scenery beautifully. i believe it was filmed in Jordan a country i would love to have visited.
All in all a entertaining watch which i will probably visit again.

I feel good
Sweet short story set in a rural area. I liked it. I watch short films a lot and get confused at the end a lot too. But this was unique and beautiful. The side character was so energetic I loved him. Pretty good story if you want to watch a lightweight short sweet film. I liked it how their intimate scenes were done. And the scene where the one apple falls it was like the indication that he left his apple (his heart) there and I was worried cause it might mean he will either come back or forget everything. Fortunately a good ending.I'll definitely rewatch it. It's just 26 minutes guys

As fluffy as a white vail in a summer breeze...
This short film is indeed short, to the point and tackles pretty much what one may expect a same sex couple would have to deal with when searching for a place to take a wedding photo in a country that does not allow people of the same sex legal marriage rights.Add to it that the couple is indeed stuck inside a box (or the closet), which makes is just that little bit more harder. Between the unnecessary obstacles we do also get to see some fluff, the very present hetero norm and well more fluff.
The acting is decent, the photography a bit shaky at times... the lighting varies between dark, meeh to light and yes fluffy white vails... just like the title entails.
Definitely a short film worth a watch, and while it may not bring much new to the photographer it does offer some pretty decent representation.

Could have been deeper and more thrilling, still entertaining with interesting concepts showcased
I am generally a sucker for that kind of sci-fi movie set (more or less) in our contemporary world but with futuristic elements making it quite different from our real life. The first part of the picture was quite a wild ride with some interesting conflict: it was a bit too melodramatic but worked quite well overall to set the stakes. In its second part, the story lost a bit its potential as it became too easy for the main lead. Due to the concept itself, there was a lack of suspense and thrills. The ending was good but would have benefited of more fleshed out relationship between some of the characters to be properly rewarding. The acting was ok overall. I quite enjoyed the performance of Yamazaki Kento who was the central figure and his interactions with the cat were super cute. I also liked Fujiki Naohito: his character was pretty interesting to follow. Unfortunately I found that the rest of the casting was a bit bland for some of the roles and a bit over-the-top for some others. I would have loved to be more transported by the main relationship and would have appreciated more nuances regarding the antagonists.
I found the filmmaking quite good, with a certain poetry for some of the scenes. The various inventions with their related sketches were nicely made and were a crucial addition to the fulfillment of the plot. The OST (with more specifically one key song for the characters) provided a lovely nostalgic vibe to the story.
I would recommend this to people looking for a sci-fi movie. I do not want to give too much away but if you like series like "Fringe" or books like "The Ice People" from Barjavel, you might give it a go (as it plays roughly with some of the same topics but in a more superficial way I would say). I wish it would have been deeper and more angsty but I still had a great time watching this film.

Jung-e, A very deep AI Sci-Fi
This Sci-Fi korean movie is about an AI researcher who is into a project to build a combat AI through brain cloning her mother. Why her mother though? - Well, there's a heart touching mother- daughter backstory. She wants the world to remember hermother as the legendary soldier that she was!
It has got amazing CGI, stunning action and cinematography.
And this is not all. This one goes a step above to show that humanity doesn't only belong to humans.
Humanoid robots also deserve equality and liberty -may sound weird but the story actually is pretty deep.
Is it human enough to control the thoughts and memories of the deceased in the name of AI experiments?
It is absolutely a must watch.

Too dragged out, good popcorn movie
I just scrolled through netflix and just clicked this without thinking too much after watching the preview.First off it was veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow paced, but i didn't mind since i was watching it with my cousin so i was very determined to finish it.
I find it really boring in the beginning, but not boring enough to make me click off and find another movie.
There were a lot of unnecessary parts in the movie and by "a lot", i mean like A LOT. I get it you're trying to show that this and this character is like this, but you don't need to keep rubbing it in to the viewers like "here's a another very dragged out one long shot of this character doing this just to show how crazy this person is", like come on. This movie could've been chopped down to like 1hr 30mins or lower if they didn't put those unnecessary parts. They're weren't adding anything to the story at all anymore, they're just there to bore people out.
Once the movie started picking up, like an hour later (finally thank god) then i became interested, but it also started becoming predictable... I think they gave out the hints too early, or maybe im just good at picking up crumbs?
The villain was not well written for imo, i think he's to sloppy for someone who does villain stuff and he was not interesting at all, he's too boring as a villain.
The main characters was okay, specially the male lead, i think the writer did an okay job, but the way the male and female leads relationship developed, was kinda half assed for me, i think its TOO fast considering how it took forever to build up the story. I think the time of those unnecessary parts could've been invested to build up other characters or maybe paced the relationship of the male and female leads right.
I find it weird how they filmed this like an early 2000s film, considering this was a 2018 movie. Like the cinematography was like... i don't know how to described it.
The ending was an okay ending, it's like they took a safe route ending if this was a video game, they were some plot points that were left unanswered, but i guess ill take it.
