A cute and pure classic school romance with slow pace

I keep gigling kicking my feet watching this school romcom. It's in 2015 so it has that typical slow pace style but I like its chilling vibe. I also love character dynamics: Seryou is so pretty and posh while Yuzuru is so cute and "dense".
The story is so cute, soft and pure. It has two parts: Monday - Thursday and Friday-Sunday. You should watch in this order. They are both very good. I love how the story goes and how they sort their problem: just a little misunderstandings (and Yuzuru's sulking) ?. It gives a very youthful vibe but pls bear in mind it's quite slow compared to modern BL so pls be patient.
Plus point: You can see them doing art archery ?

A cool & calm thriller with a captivating story that unfolds little by little.

With 2:22 hrs an unusual long movie, that needs patience and concentration.
By vibe it was very cool, and calm. Most thrillers are action loaded and therefore very loud and you are stimulated visually all the time by fast cutting scenes. This one is different. Somehow a lot happened all the time, and the plot kept going, but it wasn't obvious. It's like you are absorbed without noticing. There was a detail oriented steadiness that kept the tension unconsciously.

Don't know how to describe it, but like you are scammed and not aware of it, that some unavoidable incident already happened, because you don't see it yet. This movie has some kind of subtleness. So someone who is used to apparent spoken out concrete happenings might find this movie very boring, because it took it's time to introduce all characters in the beginning and slowly unfolds to give the big picture,

Personally, i really loved the vibe and feeling that was created by showing different places and the environment and the people. I think a very successful novel adaptation in regards of the feeling that was transported by the mood. It reminded me of the vibe that documentaries give off, because there was a focus on places and how a place is shown from different angles. In this it was somehow atpical to the usual japanese camera-work.

I'm a big fan of Ando Sakura and Yamada Ryosuke, and seeing them together was really enjoyable. Waited full of anticipation for subs for this movie for a few month now and i was not disappointed.

The best aspect is still the plot, characters and storytelling that makes the time worth watching.

The strongest girl I know

I remember hearing about this case about a year ago and learned a few days ago it had been adapted into a movie, I was hesitant to watch it but it was late at night and thought why not. I cried the entire movie, so many times I felt my heart break into a million pieces that I can’t even comprehend how heart broken Hope’s parents must’ve been. This is not something that should happen to anyone let alone any child. Hearing the sentencing again in the movie truly broke my heart beyond repair. That little girl and her family is so strong, it’s beyond words. May that bastard survive his punishment in hell and burn for eternity, ay his crimes be returned to him in tenfold and may he die a slow and painful death. May the bastard experience similar torture and “forget” before being inflicted pain worse than anything he’s done all over again. Scum of the earth who can’t even be referred to as human, even animals show more compassion to their prey. Words cannot express what I want done to that bastard. May he never know peace in this life and all the ones that come after.

The story didn't suit me at all, when a creep bullies a subordinate to boost his zero ego. Disgust, humus. On the other hand, it was well played and the other rating criteria weren't enough for me to angrily throw them in the trash like others do if the story doesn't appeal to them.

To live and dye in Taiwan

If you created a weave out of a screwball rom-com and a gangster film with vulgar humor, you might end up with something like Miss Shampoo. Vivian Sung and Daniel Hong certainly gave it their all and they did make a strange but fitting couple. Hair warning, if you are looking for a sweet rom-com of opposites attracting, the humor is quite crude. And yes, there may be a few styling puns plugged in hair and there.

On a dark and stormy night, a wounded gangster stumbled into the shop where Fen was a shampooer. She managed to cover for Tai when the assassins barged in searching for him. Tai later returned with enormous gifts and had Fen cut his hair. Soon all the gangsters and those dependent on them were coming into the faltering shop to have her work on them. She was either a visionary or a terrible stylist as the cuts were often vibrant and bizarre. It took nearly half the movie for the two to finally hook up which was actually pretty funny as it included an introduction to her equally odd family. They didn’t have a problem with her dating a “hard working” gangster as long as he didn’t become scary and kill the family if they broke up. The gangster plot included finding the murderer of the previous boss, an urban renewal project with election ramifications, a lieutenant’s dissatisfaction with the direction of the gang, and lopping off fingers-so many fingers.

Daniel Hong was a good sport as was his gangster boss Tai. He wore several hideous wigs, including a bizarre bowl cut mullet, blonde dreadlocks, and a 1990’s ahjumma perm. Vivian Sung made for a perky shampooer with a strange vision for hairstyles. Tai had a soft side and Fen had a wild side which brought the couple closer together until the classic misunderstanding was inserted between them which would take time to straighten out. The uneven humor did have some highlights. There were unspoken dialogues that were quite funny---one between Tai and Fen’s mom and one between Tai and his lieutenant, Long Legs. Some of the humor was too crass for me and there were many crude sexual references. The director didn’t wave away the brutal lifestyle of a gangster and the permanent retirement plan for the bosses. A two-hour run time was also a drawback for this film. Few violent rom-coms can withstand 120 minutes of tangled plot progression. That’s not to say there weren’t entertaining moments and even touching ones because there were when the plot moved at a nice clip. The story even threw in an emotional twist near the end.

Miss Shampoo could be bubbly and bloody, hairlarious and cringe-worthy. The lovers both dealt with living on the fringe of society, unable to move ahead socially. While the movie gave supporting characters memorable moments it was too long and was in dire need of a cut. If you don’t mind lewd humor braided into a romance with a side of bobbed fingers this might be a movie worth giving a curl.

Worth Watching!

This movie is a real emotional rollercoaster! The main actors totally own their roles, giving it their all. Even though the story kinda feels like something you've seen before, these leads bring some serious freshness to the table. Their on-screen chemistry is so real; you can't help but get invested in their characters.

Yeah, the plot might have a déjà vu vibe, but the way these leads handle it is on another level. It's like they take the familiar and make it totally their own. You end up feeling like you're right there with them, going through all the ups and downs.

Props to the leads for not just acting but genuinely making you feel something. The direction is spot-on, too – the pacing keeps you hooked, and you're in for a ride from the get-go. This isn't just another movie; it's like these leads invite you into their world, making you part of the story.

In a nutshell, yeah, you might think, "I've seen this kind of story," but trust me, the leads make it a whole new experience. It's like they turn the familiar into something unexpectedly awesome, leaving you thinking about it long after it's over.

A really enjoyable movie!

If you like dinosaur movies like I do then you should enjoy this movie like I did. Yes it has the odd cringe moments like when people get attacked or killed the others either go towards the danger or they just stand there for what seems like an eternity when they should be running for their lives, but most if not all of these type of monster movies seem to have the same in them where you tend to find yourself yelling at the screen ‘run, why are you just standing there, run’!

Good plot/storyline & the acting was also good. I really liked the ML who played Wu Yingxiong & even though I’m sure I’ve seen in him in other movies, if it’s correct according to Google translate, his name in the end credits is Li Ning but I can’t find any info about him on here or anywhere else online which is really bugging me because I would like to watch any other movies/drama’s he’s done.

The plot is more or less the usual as some other dinosaur movies. Dinosaurs living/surviving on an Island until humans arrive & all goes to hell! This movie had a few twist & turns & a proper ending, no scenes through or at the end of the movie credits like some movies do leaving it open to a possible sequel.

The CGI dinosaurs were excellent & believable & of course the movie wouldn’t be complete without a baddie or two being involved.

I gave a low score on music because there isn't really any music in this movie only bits/sounds for the dramatic effects.

Overall a really enjoyable movie that Ive added to my favourites list as I would happily watch it again like I have many other good dinosaur/monster movies.

Compelling story about a village of widows and single women in war ravaged 1950s Korea

Compelling story about a village of widows and single women scratching out an existence in war ravaged 1950s Korea when one of the widows stumbles across a deserter in a nearby bamboo forest. The movie avoids taking sides in the war--there is barely any mention of North or South. Instead it focuses on the desperate plight of those left behind after their husbands and sons have gone off to war and the anxiousness of not knowing--and possibly never knowing--whether they are alive or dead. In one interesting sequence, the deserter daydreams in color about the school teacher's life he lived before the war. This was one of 10 movies that Kim Soo-yong cranked out in 1967 and despite the obviously low dollar production value, it is worth a watch.

Emotionally effecting

Still was a quietly melodic short film following the lives of twin brothers, Andres and Gael. It showed how children can find joy, peace, and comfort in the smallest of gestures and activities even when confronted with unkindness.

Andres and Gael are twin brothers who are tactile and nearly inseparable as they explore the world around them. I could see the constant push-pull in these boys. Separate identities yet close and nearly always together. Despite cruel words from a father and friend, the boys bond remained unbroken. The brothers’ love for each other was great enough to let each one be who they truly were without judgement.

Hilom/Still was short on dialogue and time yet still packed an emotional punch of childhood nostalgia, tenderness, and brotherly resiliency in the loss of trust in those around them.
