Visually Orgasmic With Brilliant Colors and Fight Scenes
The storyline is very simple.Revenge for a female friend.
Revenge for all those that came before or after her.
The cinematography is what makes this movie. The spins, the angles, and the brilliantly placed COLORS. Like something straight out of the Cyberpunk world: there are neons that highlight and low-light the entire film. It's fast-paced, and the angles are perfectly planned like something straight out of a well-drawn graphic novel. It doesn't require a heavy amount of brain-power, but is an absolute feast for the eyes. I would definitely suggest you watch. For any videographer, photographer, artist, or even for your one-time viewer. You won't be sorry you spent your time watching it.

Lousy Chase
I can't make anything out of this movie. Serial killers is just low-life butchers. He just wants to kill women. And police with proper high-tech Korean technology can catch a killer because our lousy serial killer threw 12 tons of evidence at the crime scene. It's like he doesn't care about anything because he himself called the police after committing murder.In the meaty part of the movie, both the killer and the brother had infinite chances to kill each other or the deaf girl. But they just threaten each other with knives. It's a mess. They're just trying to make the audience emotional by portraying meaningless scenes, which can't be performed when a serial killer is after you. Normal people seem to not understand anything; they just take anything at face value.

I honestly love this movie and I definitely recommend this to all of yous who are planning to watch this, my honest review on this movie is 100% truthful and I absolutely love this and this is for sure my comfort movie and the amount of times I've rewatched this movie is like a thousand times. I definitely recommend this Japanese movie. I honestly couldn't believe I didn't hear about this drama before. Waiting for spring is such an underrated Japanese movie. I encourage all of yous to watch this movie because I know you will love it. umm sorry whats it all about?
The political plot, the names and all the scheming are quite hard to follow honestly... I was expecting more action, i.e. fight scenes, but the prosecutor in this movie cannot fight!The bad guy who takes all the credit for this movie doesnt play anything spectacular, he just changes his looks according to the social status and thats it. The gore scenes dont add to the value of the movie... Honestly, something doesnt add up here. I got the general idea, good guys and bad guys striving to get their hands on some important compromising papers, easy women entertaining the rich - and what else? Some bromance developing in the process, right? And we should just wow at the thought that the prosecutor and the hoodlum become friends... Wow NOT! Just another trope...
Watch and imagine how good it couldve been if saved by grace! Which is not the case...

This is how GARO should be directed and written.
A very enjoyable movie to watch. Keita Amemiya was born to direct GARO (after all, he's its creator). The fluidity of the combat and the effects are exactly as GARO should be. The screenplay is infinitely better than 'The One Who Shines In The Darkness' that precedes this story. It's not even fair to make a comparison. The idea that eliminating the 'Horrors' while considering the evil they cause would also mean eliminating the greatest source of evil in the human world: humanity itself, is very well explored. It demonstrates this delicate line that the Makai priests and warriors have to deal with. It's very interesting to see the story unfold. Before you watch Cat's Eye the anime...
When I was young, I watched several episodes of the Cat's Eye anime, but I was never able to finish it. I plan to watch the anime soon. Having said that, upon seeing that it has a live action movie, I decided to check it out.******************************************
The premise of Cat's Eye is as follows:
It follows the story of three sisters, Rui, Ai, and Hitomi. They are daughters of a well-renowned painter who went missing. They are stealing his paintings in the hope of finding clues on where their father is.
Now Hitomi is in a relationship with Toshio, the detective who is pursuing Cat's Eye. How will he deal with the truth once he finds out that his beloved is the one he would love to arrest?

Both the movie and the anime (and the manga for that matter) follow the same premise. I don't know how the anime and manga end, but the movie ends in a bitter note, a twist that I did not expect nor like.
That said, it's still worth watching this movie if and only if you plan on watching the anime. The music as well as the heist involved are fun and somehow captures what made the anime great, or at least worth watching.
There might be some stuff in the movie that may not be pleasing. Some of the physics seem implausible, such as how did a cat-shaped balloon suddenly appeared in one of their escape sequence? Could they really plan ahead their escape route such that it will appear just in the nick of time? Is it remote-controlled?
The actresses portraying the sisters are just as lovely as their anime counterparts, but their costumes look ridiculous.
As I mentioned, it's worth watching before diving into the anime series. The movie was released a decade after the anime's run, but I can imagine that it was a letdown if you've watched the anime and/or read the manga first.

The amount of reviews saying this is good is actually disgusting and yall r really gross.. I didn’t even try to finish this after it mentioned r@pe…I don’t think i can even get myself to finish any of these type of shows because they’re always either gonna be really weird, have r@pe, or have SA in it.

Punch, chop, yawn, shoot, punch, chop...
Mindless, cartoonishly violent melee-fest movies, even those that recycle mad scientist and power hungry soldier antagonists, can be great fun. And "Badlands Hunters" has lots of ingredients for a successful martial arts brawl-a-thon.The setting, a post-apocalyptic wasteland? Check.
Comic relief sidekick? Check.
Young, innocent hope for survival? Check.
A steady stream of gangsters and baddies entering from all sides to be dispatched with a single blow or wound? Checkity, check, check.
And a Michelle Yeoh type martial arts badass female? Ahn Ji Hye crushes this.
But "Badlands Hunters" never quite puts all the pieces together for very long. Instead, it's much like the populace constantly seeking morsels of food and a bit of clean water, the fun appears sporadically and, when it does, too briefly. Part of the issue is that the first half frequently sidetracks for small laughs or plot devices that later turn out not all useful. Another part of it is that there's simply far too much invested in transitioning Roh Jeong Eui's young hope-for-humanity from a wasteland origin to the apartment building as utopia/evil mad scientist's laboratory.
The main issue, sadly, is that the big action star in the middle of it, the legendary Ma Don Seok, doesn't seem all that invested in what he's doing. Or at least not very often. The character is meant to be stoic and business-like. That's expected. But having such a character as a baseline really only works as a contrast to when they are shaken out of their typical personality and a fire inside of them is ignited, the intensity ramps up and they get super mad and go bonkers getting even. That never happens here. It's martial arts and knife fighting and shooting machine guns with all the vibrancy and fireworks of stapling insurance adjuster reports together.
Punch. Stab. Shoot. [sigh]

I don't think this deserves 5 stars. It really isn't that bad.The cinematography and characters were nice. I liked them. I enjoyed the plot, and even though some things were predictable, it wasn't as bad as some other shows. The fight scenes were also well-made. Yes, there isn't huge character development, but this is not surprising for a movie.
Some parts of the movie didn't make much sense, which is one negative aspect of the movie. Some things could have been explained better or delved into more. Though it isn't that big of a problem. I would like a second movie, but I don't think it will happen.
Aside from that, I recommend this movie. It's a great watch.

Fantasy movie with lots of CGI, fighting and an emphasis on family, friendship and love
Its a typical story about the main character being part of an evil organization/sect and after leaving them, finding a new group of people, that show him a different side of life, than the violence and cruelty he was used to. The simpler family life is disturbed, as the evil organization is still chasing after their "traitor" and sins of the past lead to attacks from another party.Watching it, without expecting anything deep, the movie is entertaining enough, providing a mix of action and a found family theme, a little bit of romance in addition. Nothing to complain about the music or production in general. Surely not a "must-watch", but okay to pass the time in my opinion.

This would have been a heck of a lot better had the actors looked like their ages (too old facially for high school ages) and if they didn't do an about change in looks with Xia Mu's face at the end. The two actors for Xia Mu were on point.
A bit disjointed in one or two parts and maybe not fleshed out like a drama series would be, but it wasn't too bad and it did tell a good enough story.
Did read somewhere some considered Xia Mu a bit of a stalker as he turned up out of the blue in a few scenes involving her when he probably shouldn't have been there, but I didn't see it like that at all, also, if she had any concerns she would have told him so.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
I think I understand Shu Ya Wang's decision between her first love, Tang Tian, and the dysfunctional boy she tutored and supported for years as a friend and "big sister, Xia Mu, post being sexually assaulted at a company party by Qu Wei Ran.
This is age difference aside!
I feel her choice came down to the fact that both were "damaged" (herself and Xia Mu) and therefore could relate more to the other not to mention what Xia Mu did to protect her.
Turning her back on Tang Tian wasn't to hurt him, but because what happened to her would have always overshadowed them plus she knew deep down there was no going back to their carefree days like when they were youngsters, teens then young adults.
With Xia Mu it wouldn't have mattered to him and it didn't - what was most important to him was that she was happy and he accepted her unconditionally. That is regardless of his small outburst in prison because be wanted her to be happy without him.
I think her choice was the right one because long before anything took place in the way of "violence towards a woman" I imagined a future for them anyhow - just not the way it turned out.

Un film d'action post-apo entraînant
Il n'est pas nécessaire d'avoir vu Concrete Utopia pour voir Badland Hunters. Le film se suffit à lui-même et tant mieux. Si on sent qu'il manque un bagage sur les personnages, cela n'enlève en rien le bon moment qu'on passe devant ce film.Les scènes d'action sont excellentes. J'aime les univers post-apo pour des tas de raisons. Mais lorsqu'on ajoute de bonnes scènes d'action, tout devient plus intéressant. Badland Hunters n'est pas avare et offre tout un spectacle. Les scènes sont à la fois visibles, explosives et rapides, mais aussi d'une fluidité impressionnante.
Qu'on le compare à Mad Max, en revanche, me fait un peu hausser un sourcil. Parce que je suis une grande fan de la franchise de George Miller, mais aussi parce qu'à mes yeux, le film n'a que son genre post-apo en commun. Donc, non. N'attendez pas un Mad Max coréen, ce serait trompeur.
Le casting est superbe. De Ma Dong Seok en tant que boxeur sans pitié. Lee Jun Young qui amène la pointe d'humour, mais se révèle plus profond qu'il n'y paraît. Ahn Ji Hye qui casse des gueules avec classe. Et bien sûr Lee Hee Jun en tant que médecin fou, mais où son personnage s'avère plus développé qu'il n'y paraît.
Quoiqu'il en soit, Badland Hunters est un film d'action post-apo simple et efficace avec des scènes de combat spectaculaires.

Exceptional Horror Flick That Runs Deep!
I’ll be honest. I’m not a fan of zombie movies. George Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead” is still a classic, but even that movie didn’t exactly thrill me. To me, zombies tend to be boring. The slow, gaited walk—despite the overwhelming numbers—just made them less imposing than they should be.“Train to Busan” not only gives us an absolute thrill ride, but it also does what Korean filmmaking has been so good at over the years; it gives us food for thought and for people to decide what’s really important. Who else could put such a message, and do it effectively, than the Koreans? In short, this is the first zombie movie that I’ve seen that has heart and depth.
I will say that this is the best zombie movie I’ve ever seen. The zombies don’t do the stupid walk in this film. They run. They chase in a relentless frenzy that begs the viewer to ask, “how in the world did they film that?!”
Seok Woo (wonderfully played by Gong Yoo) is a workaholic father who has little time for his daughter, who begs him to take her to Busan to see her mother. Seok Woo is a man so disconnected from his daughter, Soo Ahn, that he doesn’t realize that he’s bought her a birthday gift that she already has. He finally agrees to take her.
In the meantime, a massive outbreak of “infected” people begin to take over, and of course, it only takes one as an infected woman jumps aboard the train just as it’s leaving the station. What transpires after this is an absolutely incredible survivor movie and what becomes of human nature when lives are on the line. There are those who believe in doing right by people, and there are others who believe that survival by any means necessary is justified. Interestingly enough, Seok Woo starts off as a man who believes that saving himself and his daughter is all that matters, leaving one man to rebuke him harshly for his selfish behavior.
Once the pursuit is underway, you have a good idea of who is most likely to survive, but there are still questions regarding the other characters and whether or not they will make it. And on a deeper level, what will these people do in their last moments, which brings us some very compelling moments.
On the one hand, this is a survivor movie worthy of “Titanic” or “The Poseidon Adventure” or “The Towering Inferno.” And on the other hand, it also begs the viewer to ask questions that could easily be used in a university philosophy class.
Performances are stellar across the board, but Kim Soo An really impressed me as Seok Woo’s daughter. The last few minutes of the film are heartbreaking and heart wrenching.
There isn't much music in the film, which adds to the effect, but when it kicks in, you know that you-know-what is about to hit the fan!
There really isn’t an element of this film that I can say came up short. From story to characters, to cinematography, this movie excels in every category. I see why this film is already considered a classic, and it’s the only zombie movie that I plan to add to my collection!

An excellent wrap-up to the prequel's cliffhanger, no less impressive than Hollywood's best sellers.
If you want a good story and character development, watch a kdrama. This movie's all about one thing and that is brainless spectacle and comedy, with technical feats that prove Korean cinema can make movies just as action packed as American titans, a large part of why I had to watch how far we could go. Tricky camera angles, seamless CGI integration, no shortage of stunts and total disregard for any historical accuracy or scientific justification whatsoever. The protagonist's sword in this looks like an oversized Egyptian khopesh lol.While the sequel does give you enough to know as a standalone movie, I highly recommend watching Alienoid 1 first if you haven't already, because to be frank these two films are basically one movie split in half. You miss out on half the cool stuff you're being sold if you don't bother with the prequel, and the cruelty of the cliffhanger of the first is struck down for good with the absolute conclusion of the sequel.
This movie is also recommended to watch with children if you have any to watch them with, and although there is a body horror element with the aliens doing their thing, the films totally omit the gross outs of juvenile humor, none of the violence revels in gore for shock value, and the only person who's going to get offended by the content of the movie is the kind of person who demands realism and depth in a quick flick about time travel alien busting with sword and sorcery.
Only thing I'm disappointed with is that the cool robotic suit of armor is underused in both films, it's like if Iron Man had to save on batteries.
