To start off, I just have to say that I probably rated this a little biased because I just thoroughly enjoyed it!

As other reviews have mentioned, the story is definitely your typical, cliche rich man and poor girl. But, there was something different about this story. I couldn't pinpoint it out for you, you'd have to see for yourself, but it was just so refreshing! I think the reason might be because it wasn't as stressed or emphasized. I mean yes, you can clearly see he's rich and she's just a little mere accountant's assistant, but Feng Teng wasn't a complete jerk like you see in so many other classic dramas like this, like BOF for instance.
What I liked the absolutely MOST about this drama, and the reason I think I'm so in love with it even though it was rather simplistic, is because it seemed kind of REAL to me, and there was no real hindrances. I mean of course there were problems for the main couple, and a love triangle in the beginning. But there was no character I ever truly hated, not even the second female lead in the first half. I didn't have the same pure hatred for her as I've had in other dramas, and I grew to really love her in the end. It may not have a whole ton of complex plot-twists and things like that, but it never died for me. It was 33 episodes and I finished it within days. It never dragged for me, not really, and there was just enough cute moments through out the whole show to keep me squeeling.
I swear to you, the amount of times I SQUEELED is HUGE. I can't even begin to tell you how surprised I was at how many times I legitimately squeeled and clapped my hands. I am not this type of person, but I could not suppress them!

As for the acting, I'm not sure. This was actually my first Chinese drama, I'd never explored the C-dramas before, but I think I just might now. I dabble more with Korean and Taiwanese dramas.
Zao Zanilia was absolutely adorable. She took a silly, ditsy character and turned her into a complex, three-dimensional real human being. Typically characters like Shan Shan are annoying, and their lack of passion (and a back-bone) usually irritate me to no end. Zao Zanilia (and the scrip writers) gave Shan Shan an edge; she may not have always screamed and fought, but she had her own way of dealing and handling these situations.
Zhang Han was, of course, sizzling HOT. I was actually wavered by him when I first started watching the show. He's one of the cutest actors I've seen, I'm not sure why. To be honest, my only shallow complaint is that his legs are just so skinny. But maybe that's a Chinese trend or is typical? I'm not sure, I'm not proficient in this area, like I've said before I haven't seen any others. His acting was pretty on par, my only complaint there is a sometimes lack of facial expressions. Although it wasn't in his character to be so blatantly affected, or to show it, but still. I swear his eye brows never moved... but he was still cute, none the less.
As for the supporting actresses and characters, they all did swell. I was engaged in their stories as much as the main couple, even if they didn't get a whole lot of show time (because this story was more focused on the main couple - which I really liked actually).

The music wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. There is a song or two that I think I'm going to download though, very cute, and they were definitely put in the right places. They weren't too extremely loud or annoying, either. Which was nice!

To be honest, I want to start rewatching it RIGHT NAO. I like this too, and hate. It's contradicting I know... I haven't felt this way about a drama in a LONG time. It was so heart-warming and just so cute, I mean I think this is probably the cutest drama I've seen in a long time, and not cute in an over-the-top, annoying way. The story was smooth, never slow, never fast, just a steady pace that drew me into the characters and into their world. I'm still reeling now... I don't want it to be done, I think I might cry... WAHH~ ;3;

Overall, because I was so absolutely in love with this drama, I have given it a 10. I know, it lacks a lot of things a normal 10 drama should get, but for me, I'm giving this one a 10 not because of the technicalities, but because of how I feel. Not many dramas can make me feel this way, but this one has accomplished just that, so I must tip my hat to this drama. I'm glad my first Chinese drama wasn't a bad experience!

I whole-heartedly recommend this drama to those looking for a refreshing, cute, innocent drama that's not over-the-top or annoying, but has just the right amount of serious matter, realistic relationship hindrances, and lots of fun and laughing! I can't help but to feel like I haven't said enough, that I'm missing something... but this is long enough!
Just. Watch. It. :D

Whenever I start a drama knowing that it's an adaptation from another country, I'm always a bit skeptical. Especially when the other country's version is so good. In this case, I'm sure everyone knows that Liar Game was originally a Japanese drama, that was originally a manga. Whether u've seen the Japanese version or read the manga, I can honestly say that I enjoyed this Korean version very much. Oh man, did this kdrama hold it's own.

I can't help to compare the two versions against one another. Anyone who says they don't for any drama that has another version is a big ol' liar. Of course I had some problems with this version. I didn't mind the reality aspect of the drama at all, in fact i loved it. But I did have a problem with Da Jung. It's impossible to not compare her with Japanese version's Nao. In the Japanese version, the whole big deal with Nao is that she's just too honest for her own good. Too trusting. In the Korean version, Da Jung's whole thing is that she's just too kind. I thought this was incredibly stupid. Who's even heard of such a thing. And since when is being too kind a bad thing? I just didn't get it and thought it was completely stupid. Also, with Nao, even though she was completely naive and very stupid, the girl was genuine. I felt her sincerity in all her actions. She felt one of a kind. Da Jung does not feel unique at all. My problem is that there's nothing special about Da Jung that all these ppl are going out of their way to help her. What makes her so likable? She's not dislikable, but she's just there quite frankly, and I just didn't feel anything special with her other than her being the main character.

Also, the whole reasoning Da Jung has for sticking with the game is so stupid. I still don't even know why she just didn't get out when she had the chance. With Nao I understood and ttly respected her decision, but with Da Jung I'm just shaking my head.

I know it seems like I'm complaining a lot about this drama, but thats really the only big issue I have with Korean Liar Game. As I stated before, I loved the reality show aspect of it. Very original. I also love that the loan shark guy had Da Jung's back. And my favorite character of all, Ha Woo Jin. Loved him! I definitely love Japanese Akiyama more, but Woo Jin held his own. He was ttly likable, had swag, and I ttly ship him and Da Jung lol.

I also loved the ending. I think it was excellent, and this version definitely feels like more of a psychological thriller especially towards the end. It was especially creepy. I didn't like the games in this version. I loved the roulette game and the poker game in Liar Game 2, but this version definitely washed them down. Still Korean Liar Game definitely holds it's own against the japanese version. I just happen to personally prefer jdramas over kdramas. Anyways, since I just finished this drama, I want to write my review before I forgot my initial feelings. I'd say it's worth a watch. Definitely entertaining.

It's nice and short, so they really isn't a reason not too watch it. The story is mysterious and interesting. They succeeded in telling a story in such a short period of time. This would make a good full 16 episode drama or a two hour movie.

I love this adaption so much! I've watched it twice and I've never watched a drama twice before. Albeit, it's a shorter one so it doesn't take much time to re-watch.

Most of the complaints it gets is about Sato's Kotoko being too loud, over the top, and "annoying", but that's what Kotoko is all about. Whether it be this adaption or another, you're probably not gonna like this story if you don't like the Kotoko character because Kotoko's the complete point of Itazura Na Kiss! She's famous for being a unique protagonist and no way would this manga/drama be so well known and beloved if she was as terrible as people like to believe. I just don't understand why anyone wouldn't love her.

Since this drama was filmed in the mid-90s, it's very charming and kinda simple, straight to the point. It's not ridiculously flashy and drawn out, with a big budget, which makes it one of my favorite comfort dramas. Compared to the other adaptions, the family/business issues are extremely cut down which I like because I always find family drama plots tiresome.

Kassy's Naoki is sooo subtle, you have to watch his facial expressions closely or you'll miss some of the best parts of the drama and the moments where he's obviously falling for Kotoko.

I really love the soundtrack. The romantic instrumentals in 90s fashion, contrast perfectly with the amazingly upbeat "Steady" by SPEED.

Overall, the humor LARGELY depends on exaggerating characters and circumstances. If you're looking for something realistic, simply don't watch it! If you can't handle shouting, quick scene cuts, camera zooms, or basic classic comedy, don't watch it. It's not suppose to be taken too seriously.

The only downside is it never got a season 2. The character development was so great, but we don't get to see that development pursued because of the quick ending.

Regardless if people like this version or not, it will always be special for being the first live adaption of Itazura Na Kiss and the only live adaption that INK's creator Kaoru Tada got to see before she died. I don't know if she advised during the production, but I'm sure if she hadn't liked how Kotoko was portrayed, she would've said something.

This quote really fits this drama: "Is love reason enough to marry someone, or should you be looking for an equal in both social status and knowledge?" - Throughout the drama the cast struggled with this issue, throwing lines out there like: "I love him/her but they don't match me", "My heart is with this person but our status's don't match.", "I'm rich, she's poor.", "she's a well-known doctor, while I'm a bum." - they have to face the challenge "To love or to marry well."

Story: Basically about the quote above - Do you marry someone you don't love just because your statuses match well and peoples eyes are on you? or do you marry for love even if it ends up making you struggle? < That's the main point of this drama and I thought it was very well played out.

Cast: Seo Young Ji (Han Ji Hye) A poor girl who lives with an alcoholic father and her 2 siblings who also dreams of being a fairy-tale writer. She goes on a blind-date in replace of Ah-Mi with the intention of turning him off - but no matter what she tried, he just became more attracted to her & they ended up dating. I liked her for the most part - there were a few times where she talked inferior that got on my nerves. But I think she is one of the best characters that HJH has played - it really suited her. Joon Woo (Kim Suk Hoon) His parents are rich and of course he benefited from that and opened his own Art Centre, he's been going a several blind dates recently but when Young-ji shows up, he is instantly charmed and attracted to her, when he finds out her true identity - he comes to face a decision - to follow his heart or to follow the comfortable laws of society. I loved him <3 Ah-Mi (Song Sun-mi) a Plastic Surgeon with a huge reputation in the field - she's had a hard background involving a materialistic father and hateful half-sisters - in order to beat them she wants to marry someone who will make her look good - she struggles with following her heart - she thinks marriage and love are two separate things, I liked her but she did make me upset a few times. Do Kyeong (Kwon Oh Jung) "I'm going to be a male Cinderella" - that's his goal in life and he sets his sights on Ah-mi - although what happens when he really falls for her?...He was entertaining ;p

Music: The OST was beautiful <3 "I'd rather dance with you than talk with you" by The Kings of Convenience < my favorite song & "dong hwa sok eh suh" by Kwon Oh Kyung < my second favorite song^^

Re-watch Value: 9/10 - I really liked it and will re-watch it again someday.

The title: The Secret Lovers - I didn't fully understand the name except that they were all kind of hiding who they were actually dating or in love with. And at the end the cast kind of talks to the audience and says "If there is someone who you are secretly in love with then tell them." - I wish there was a little more to the ending - it was a good ending but I wanted more good stuff lol

To be honest, I expected more from this drama. I liked it in many aspects, but the story... For me, the only reason I watched the whole 20 episodes was the cast. Acting was so high that I decided to be patient and tolerate with such a cliched plot. So many times I was crying 'WTF?!'. I was really surprised that main characters didn't turn out to be brother and sister and none of them was suffering from cancer.

Nevertheless, I was glad that completed it, because the final was quite strong. If you watched 'That winter...', you will understand my feelings. By the way, both dramas have that changing from fake feelings to true love. But 'That winter...' is more realistic, I suppose. In 10s of XXI century I can't bear with Brazilian soap operas' plot twists. I admire the fact, that koreans are progressing so fast in making good dramas, but they still have a lot things to improve.

As for actors. It can't be denied that Song Joong Ki did a great job. His changing during the story was so striking! He is now one of my favorite asian actors.
I also liked the main female antagonist, Jae Hee. Her choice was immoral, but It's part and parcel of everyday's life. No doubt, you have heard of plenty girls aimed to hit the jackpot by all means.
Supporting characters (Kan Ma Roo's friend and his younger sister, Jae Hee's brother) were great too.

Drama is worth be watched (or listened - wonderful instrumental music themes!) , but still is very far from perfection.

This drama was a bit uneven for me. Some of it was on par with the best k-dramas out there (The monarchy setting, the lead and secondary couplings, as well as the push-pull dynamics of the hero and villain), while some of it was truly unwatchable (the silliness of the WOC, the huge cast of random foreigners and the makjang tendencies of killing all my favorite characters)

My Rating: 8.0

In short: All in all, I enjoyed it. However, I would have enjoyed it much more it had been a bit shorter. At the very least, they should have removed the actual WOC competition part. Actually risking the king's life for a military competition is just dumb, and the change of setting really sucked the life out of the drama. They could also have done without the countless horrible conversation in "english".

Pros: The secondary coupling really stole the show for me in this. Jo Jong Suk and Lee Yoon Ji were fabulous. They could have been the entire drama as far as I was concerned. Lee Sung Min was also adorable as the royal hyung.

Cons: I think Ha Ji Won overacts in everything. Luckily, this character was, compared to her character in Secret Garden, an actual badass. That certainly helped, though she was still the most dull character in this. And what does that title mean? It certainly does not make sense in english...

1. STORY
School love thing, with a "Cinderella" and a gorgeous princess. And some more people around who want to have one of the two as their own lover. Romantic? Yes it is, definitely.
But there's some real thing in this unreal drama, business vs girlfriend, will one choose girlfriend instead? And if not, why does he have to choose so?
But it needs more, I don't know, but really, it needs more to reach "good".
2. ACTING/ CAST
Park Shin Hye, Lee Min Ho, Krystal, Kim Woo Bin... Too much for a girl like me.
3. MUSIC
Great! I love the OST
5. REWATCH VALUE
Maybe I'll rewatch it, for some romantic scenes only.
6. OVERALL (SPOILERS - SORRY FOR POSTING SPOILERS)
Why Kim Tan fell for Eun Sang that easy?
Why I feel like Young Do with Eun Sang more than Kim Tan with Eun Sang?
Why in the last episode they don't make it real but just imaginations?

OKAY. THIS DRAMA IS CRAZY GOOD.

The characters, the story, and the relationships were all so well thought out! I loved all of the characters, and they all have really wonderful relationships with each other- that are REAL. They fight, bicker, annoy the hell out of each other, get seriously frustrated with each other, and they realize that they all have their own flaws. And the story stays realistic, (funnily enough to say about a drama based on mental disorders) showing the true struggles people in relationships (wife, mother, girlfriend, brother, daughter, etc.) with people with mental disorders have to face. It's really wonderful. The cast acted out everything brilliantly- the emotions were conveyed very well and wow, some of the best acting I've ever seen.

AND THE MUSIC. *BREATHES DEEPLY* I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN TO Y'ALL HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS OST. LIKE... THESE SONGS. THEY'RE GREAT. THEY FIT IN SO WELL WITH THE SCENES AND I'VE DOWNLOADED A BUNCH OF THEM AND I NEVER GOT TIRED OF THEM (like I have with very many other songs in other dramas) AND WOW. A++++++++++++++++++ TO WHOEVER PICKED THESE SONGS. A FREAKING PLUS.

Anyways, I totally recommend this drama! It's probably one of my all time favorites now and I loved this drama from start to finish!

For a country still dealing with its own discrimination towards mental disorders, I thought this drama was just plain- WOW. Wonderful. Seriously, good job!!! (I'm in awe)

I'm really not even sure where to start... Since my first foray into Korean Dramas back in April of 2014 I have see many dramas that I wholeheartedly enjoyed, a few I found lacking somewhat but still fun and entertaining, and very small few that I just didn't care for. The Three Musketeers doesn't really fall into any of these categories because it transcends them all.

I literally cannot count the amount of times I cheered, laughed out loud, cried-mostly tears of joy but a couple times were for sad or simply melancholy reasons, cursed at whomever I detested or disrespected, clapped my hands, or was most profoundly stunned into absolute silence with my mouth agape and my eyes blinking ever so slowly.

This drama offered me everything I could ever desire in an amazing viewing experience. Bromances, romances, betrayals, action and adventure, revenge, loyalty, self awareness, self sacrifice.... None of them done in an over tired or cliched way, as so many dramas are wont to do. Even the villains in this were not evil for the sake of being evil. They were layered and deep and had understandable reasons for their treachery. Even if their actions seemed extreme to the other characters they interacted with, or us as the viewing audience, you could see how, from their point of view, everything they did had purpose.

While watching this drama I only ever had one negative criticism in my mind about one single character. I immensely disliked the Crown Princess, and was ready to deduct half a point from my overall rating of The Three Musketeers which caused a lot of inner turmoil. However, I am so very glad I followed the guidelines for reviewing and waited as, in the end, her character fleshed out and became one that I look forward to seeing develop in the future.

That being said I can say without any doubt there was nothing I didn't love about this drama. It was a wonderful adaptation of Alexander Dumas' Novel. I was thrilled at the ending and also saddened that I had no more episodes to look forward to... at least not today. Whenever they decide to air season 2 it will be like Christmas and my Birthday wrapped into one and I will count the days until this epic adventure continues.

All For One, and One For All !!!!!

Have you ever had that moment were you stuck on a Asian drama slump? well that was me for two months until I had watched Sweet 18. What I loved about this drama was that it had every kind of genre for anyone, if you want romance, action, mystery, drama, and a good old laugh, then Sweet 18 has it all.

Story: 9.5/10

The story was an easy 9.5 out of 10 for me, when you are watching Sweet 18 you're so captivated by the story line that you ease by the episodes one by one. When you first start off with the show, some people are probably thinking that this is going to be a regular romantic comedy drama, but if you keep on watching there is more to the story as time goes on.

Acting/Cast: 9.5/10

The acting and cast gets another easy 9.5 out of 10 for me. I don't know what it was about this cast, but whenever everyone had interacted with each other I could feel all the emotions and the feels that were coming through my phone screen. I loved the relationship between Kwon Hyeok Jun and Yoon Jung Sook, when cute couple had interacted with each other I remember just fan girling for about five minutes before having to watch a scene. The chemistry between both of the actors felt so real, but you can't blame them because they both dated each other in real life. In all I loved the acting and the cast so much because of the actors and actresses abilities but also had their emotions had affected my emotions.

Music: 8.5/10

The music was fun to listen to and I could heard a lot of American songs that I had knew, but sometimes I felt the music would not match up with the scene that had been playing.

Rewatch value: 9.5/10

The rewatch value is am obvious high for me, it was funny, romantic, beautiful, and down right just an amazing drama, so if you have not seen this drama take my word on it is amazing and wonderful and you will not be disappointed.

Totally overrated!!!! The only thing that really l liked in this was the "ability to hear other people thoughts" and the plot of the story, but what killed it for me was acting and character matching. Watching this drama was just ok for me. By episode 4 i did not know if I should continue, but I hate to drop out from any thing to watch so before I ended this torture I decided to continue. It was ok, but this drama did not move me as other dramas such as YOU WHO CAME FROM THE STARS or SECRET GARDEN did ... not even close, and rating here was much higher - how can this be is my only question here...

Funny, funny and more funny! This drama should have a little higher rating in my eyes. It was well played and really nice (light) storyline made this that more enjoyable to watch. If you want to laugh, and really spend few hours of good entertainment watch this one and I'm sure you will agree with me - Personal Taste will be on your favorite list too!
