And why?
Firstly, the story.
The story is great. I mean come on its very romantic when a lonely and insecure woman that is looked down upon is kind of saved by the prince on a white horse (Come on, whether or not you like it, it's still very romantic) the thing is, where the show makes a turn from the typical White horse Handsome prince, is when you see that Lee Gun (our main lead) turns out to be this extremely hilarious nutcase. Good looking, Yes. Prince like, Yes. Sane, NO! But that is what makes the story differ from the Taiwanese version and doing its own thing.
Secondly, the cast.
The cast for this show is great. Fun thing is that the only one I knew of before watching was the female lead, Jang Na Ra. But I ended up loving the character that I thought I would hate the most. Lee Gun (Jang Hyuk) made me seriously love him in this show! He captured the crazy and nutcase(y) persona of Lee Gun so well and I felt that this man really don't give a F about how crazy he may look, he just went full on doing his thing and that ended up doing this remake a favor. It made the show so much more likable. It made the show so much more funny and when comparing it with its predecessor you really feel the difference just looking at the two main leads. The female lead, tho okay and really feeling like the post it note girl, sometimes felt like she was just there rather than being the biggest (second biggest) character that she was suppose to be. And even after the magical change that every damn character goes thru (in nearly every drama) she still felt the same for me and that was a tad wrong. However I do like Jang Na Ra as Kim Mi Young and she did do a good job. Maybe I'm just blinded by the great performance by Jang Hyuk, too bad.
The second male lead for me was totally useless. Sorry. I didn't like his character in T version either to be fare. And even tho I've started to like Choi Jin Hyuk quite a bit I really felt that he should've dissed this role. Because it was not memorable for me. I liked that Dylan (T version) never had a lot of drama around him, but in this version he ended up being a bit to much romantic. So the cast was okay, but really the reason for the score where because of Lee Gun. Awesome job!
Now we will talk about the music and here is also the reason for the magic that the show produce because this OST is perfection on it's own. It so wonderful and fits the show like a glove!I had to rewatch some scenes just for the perfection showing on my screen. Ailee is greatness itself singing the songs here and because of the show, I'm now a big fan of hers.I found myself bawling my eyes out and much of it because of the musical score.
The rewatch score is mediocre i know. The thing is that even tho I really liked it and all. I've sadly already seen the T version 2 times and even tho the two versions differ quite a bit, it's still the same show, at least based on the same story and in the end it shows. Maybe I will find myself watching it again in the close future, and to be honest I hope I do.
Overall and lastly, this show is good! Whatever you heard from me this show is a great show. Its a funny show as well as a sad one. It'll make you cry rivers and also make you laugh your lungs out. However If you have watched the T version you will compare the two, it's nearly impossible not to. I do hope that the majority of you reading this is newbies to Fated to love you because then I will whole heatedly recommend the K version to you. My mistake was that I already had seen the T version when this jewel came out and I just know that if I hadn't seen that first and this also was my first introduction then I would have loved it so much more. Truly a great show with an extremely crazy but lovable main lead that will make you love his crazy ass.
Happy Watching!

And Why?
Firstly, the story.
Sure, how many times haven't we heard of a sad story about a person losing their parents and ending up fighting to survive. Giving up everything about themselves so that the people they care about can have a good life. I would say that we hear about this kind of story quite often. However that's not the point, the point is how this kind of story is executed and presented. How the actors represent the people going thru the hardships and also how well everything is put together to actually feel realistic and therefor sad. And that is exactly why, ladies and gentlemen, Stars falling from the sky is so damn good!! Because the story is so well presented and also making the main lead growing so fast and in a good way to be there for the people she loves! It's not easy but she does it and it all becomes great. The thing I love a lot with it tho is that the show is not only a serious drama all the way thru, it has it funny moments and the moments when you just feel like placing your hand thru the screen and strangle the people that destroy the perfection.
Secondly, the cast!
And this is easily the best and most important part of the show. You see the cast is making such a good job in actually making you see the horrible situation that this family finds themselves in. Before I get deeper into the characters I definitely have to make a shout out to the kids in the show because they really made a great performance. You really felt the family bond and love, they are kids yet really make it feel extremely real.
My favorite character is easy to say. Of course its Pal Gang. She just feels so real, and sure I hated her so damn much the first scenes that I saw her in. She felt so selfish and naive, and not to say Stalkish as well. However she grew as a character and became such a good person. As soon as reality hit her face and she found herself homeless with 5 kids, where one was a little baby, her survival instinct toke over. She understood that she no longer needed good looking hair (I think she also came to resent her long hair after the incident) nor fancy clothes. All she needed to think about was to find a home and a safe place for these 5 kids. And another thing that really made me love her, was that the romance that was really in your face in the beginning changes and in the end I felt that the romance wasn't a big deal to make the show good. Sure I loved the outcome romantically, but whether or not the show had the romance it would still be a really fantastic show.
The male lead for me, was really good. Sure I love Kim Jo Hoon as an actor, but he really was fantastic in this role. He changes, just like a lot of the characters, but along Pal Gang, he made a drastic change thruout the show. And as you saw him grow into a very likable person you really will fall a tiny bit for him. Plus he is so cute holding a baby! There's two other important male characters you can talk about but for me they where not AS important, Sure they had there impact on the show, believe me, but it's not needed for me to speak of them. However I have to bring up the female love rival because nothing can really describe my hate for her. Sure I usually hate the female love rival, there's few cases when i actually like them, but in this show it's just pure hate! I present to you, Fish Lip. She is so damn annoying and there where so many times during my watch that I just wanted to put my fist to her face and knock her out, sad thing that the screen was in the way. However hateful she is, it gives the series that fighting spirit.
The music is good too. It fits perfectly to the series with its themes. There's specially one song that all watchers will come to recognize after you're done with the show. The feelings that bubbles while watching this series just becomes more emotional with this OST.
My rewatch for this show is high and why is that. Funny shows tend to get that high of a rewatch but not the sad ones, however I've already rewatched it 3 times while writing this review. It's a perfect show in so many ways and really it doesn't matter how many times you watch it, because the show stays just as awesome.
Overall and lastly, this show has it all. It has Aww moments, emotional scenes and laughing out loud and spot on dialogue. The characters stay real and yet menages to be really likable and sometimes even adorable. Its a sad story but its wrapped up in a cute little fairy tale resulting in, when you're done with it, you walk away feeling light and happy. It's a must watch for every romance lover out there that likes stories staying rather realistic and true to the fact that shit happens, but that you still can get up and continue walking.
Happy Watching!

And why?
Firstly, the story;
The story, tho not all that original, is fascinating and capturing. It is not all that serious either but it really has no need to be. All this show needs is the right cast and the right touch to become awesome. I must say that i really do like the setting of the show, The whole "pretend-lovers" puts on a really funny show and also makes the characters themselves grow and develop. Sure I had a problem with the love triangle (square??) going on because, just as the show rocked the other things, the love triangle really was not needed in this show at all. But to be honest I would say the love triangle became less interesting because of the second lead, but that's really just my own opinion on it.
Secondly, the cast:
The cast for this one is AWESOME, and i really mean it. Sure, Joo Jang Mi seem to be a really annoying, over the top and also overly attached, but as the show go on, you really see how strong and independent she is. The beginning will trick you into feeling hesitant about watching, but as soon as episode 2 starts, that's the best moment in history.
The First male lead is by far my favorite, and he's also the one that I feel develops the most from start to finish. Also he is adorable. It's my first Kdrama with Yun Woo Jin and I'm just saying he sold it! He was the one that made the show as great as it is both with the funny aspects but also because of his romantic inputs. I also felt that both he and Han Groo had really great chemistry, but that you have to decide on your own.
The chink in the chain however, and I just know that people will hate me for saying this, is Jin Woons character Yeo Reum. Yes I just said that... But its the truth and why? Because I didn't really feel his acting working here, and I totally fell in love with him in Dream High 2 (until that whole show just F up), but his character here has to be more mature, he's no longer suppose to be a teen/ young adult. And the thing about his character is just that he has to reflect that emotional and left alone parts of the character, and that's where Jin Woon fails. (MY OPINION) However charming he is and however good actor, this was not the best role for him.
The side characters was rather meh, but even among them their could be a gem or two. Personally I really came to like the actor playing Joo Jang Mi's ex, Heo Jeong Min.
The music for me is not that memorable, there is a few I do recognize but non is that, you know awesome sounding. But the thing that was truly awesome was by far the sound effects! They used it alot and just at the right moments too, It made the scenes so much funnier also, in the scenes that didn't have any dialogue still had that glimmer because the sound effects brought light to every funny scene, whether or not it had dialogues. Points to that by far!
I put a rather high Rewatch value on this one and it's a simply reason to why. Its funny and light- hearted, and if you ask me I would say that it can be extremly hard to find a Kdrama that don't use a lot of drama in it and instead just go the easy breezy and light way. This show has its drama, don't be mistaken, but it also keeps the audience laughing and enjoyed.
Overall and lastly I would say that this show is by far one of the most funny and likable Kdrama that 2014 had to give. I know there were a lot of good ones, but this kept me happy, laughing and just in "Aww" - mode all the way thru and I wouldn't mind watching this a couple of times more.
I really recommend this one to you all!
Happy Watching!

If you like films like Platoon, dramas like Piece of Cake (English war drama). Then I think you should watch this drama.

Found this gem while looking for something else & happy I stopped and watched... This drama puts the M in melodrama without the typical makjang nonsensical acts by focusing on family, loss, change, betrayal and love that swirls around a woman over 50, accompanied by a cast of mature actors. The acting by the two leads was FAB and the onscreen chemistry was smoldering for these over 50 actors. The overall storyline was powerful and insightful how they dealt with numerous "isms" facing families &friends especially the portrayal of the transgender story. Many topics are touched here, however the underlying is the need of love-acceptance by & of family, lovers, men, women, transgender, tall, thick, etc... regardless of age or size.
Why watch? If you are looking for a solidly written storyline with actors who are 50+ this drama will resonate. If you have a large family with lots of drama & characters, this drama will resonate. If you need to see actors not trying to act HS or silly, this story will resonate.
The music was perfectly aligned to the mood and style of drama - nothing special YET it accentuated perfectly.
Would I watch again? Hard to get those 36eps done YET I somehow will miss this drama and the characters. Lastly, have tissues ready. This drama brings tears of sadness & joy thus many tissues-alternatively you will grin for the Mr Kim when he comes home from his first date. In the drama land, youth reigns however this story & actors affirmed that love comes in many shapes, colors, ages and genders. I can only hope that we see more quality drama like this for many of us who are believe in second starts in life.

First of all, this is my first review, I'm trying my best to not spoil anything. Without further ado, now into the review,
Story
To be honest I'm sold to this drama because of its storyline. The main girl life seems so perfect, but then an accident happen, one by one puzzle pieces were revealed. As the title suggest, she's given 49 days to collect 3 drops of true tear.
Acting/Cast
Lee Yo Won definitely my favs in this drama. Her acting was superb, being able to distinctly change her expression. Jung Il Woo acts perfectly as Scheduler, lot of scene with him adding comedy to this not-so-happy-going drama. The other cast also great enough to make me glued to my chair.
Music
The music is okay, there's some track that i love as it add more sad-feeling right. My personal favs track is I Can Feel It.
Rewatch Value
A second watch maybe will lessen the excitement of this drama. But I think this drama still worth a rewatch once in a while.
Overall
At first I didn't put a high hope for this drama. Turn out my expectation is very wrong! You people should watch it, for me the story and acting were sooo superb! Also please always keep your tissue beside you as you will use it a lot !

The story is slow paced, but it's extremely addictive. It's very mysterious you never know what's going to happen, and I didn't figure out what happened during ''the day of the incident'' until a few seconds before that scene started. I loved the way they used the scenes of ''the day of the incident'' throughout all the episodes, adding a few more seconds to the scene in each episode. There were a ton of beautiful moments too. Also, the character development was brilliant.
The acting was AWESOME. Nana Eikura was amazing, she did a great job playing Nozomi, one of the best performances I've seen in a while. Masataka Kubota, Kento Kaku and Keisuke Koide did a fantastic job, too.
The music was SPECTACULAR. This is probably the best OST I've ever heard in a japanese drama. I can't stop listening to it. And the theme song is really beautiful.
The cinematography was so beautiful that it left me astonished. You need to watch this in HD.
To sum up, N no Tame ni is a really mysterious and beautiful drama, filled with great performances, a fantastic story, outstanding music and a spectacular cinematography. You really need to watch this as soon as possible.

The story is very original and quirky, I really liked it. It was very funny and entertaining. The story also tackles on some very important issues like discrimination, bullying and LGBT, which rarely appear in japanese dramas. What's more, they were tackled with a surprising seriousness, and that was great.
The cast was great. Ryo Nishikido and Hikari Mitsushima were fantastic, as I expected. The rest of the cast was also great, but Yuta Koseki deserves a special mention for his performance in episode 8.
The music was nothing special, but the theme song by Kanjani8 was pretty good.
In conclusion, Gomenne Seishun! is a very funny and well acted drama that also has a serious side when it tackles on some very important issues, which I appreciated.

The story was very simple, but beautiful anyway. It was also pretty realistic, although there were times where it was a bit corny and/or slow.
The acting was the best thing in this drama. The cast was outstanding, but I think Hikari Mitsushima, Yu Aoi and Eita gave the best performances. Satoshi Tsumabuki was great too, but he was a bit over the top at times. The rest of the cast was fantastic too, but they weren't as good as the ones I mentioned, in my opinion.
The music didn't really stand out, for me. The theme song was pretty good, but the rest of the music was not really anything special.
To sum up, Wakamono Tachi is a great drama, with an outstanding cast and a good story, even if it's a bit slow at times.

The show starts off right in the centre of things, which is great and gets you excited about the events that have transpired. A theme I enjoyed from this show is the father-daughter bond which is the beating heart of this story. Yes the romantic relationships were important too, but this familial relationship is the strongest and most compelling for the characters and viewers. Another theme I enjoyed is Taesan's personal journey during his two weeks on the run, his maturation and self-reflection on all the wrongs he's done to the people in his life. It's so damn satisfying to see him making an about-turn in his outlook towards life.
But about halfway through the drama, I started feeling slightly weary, which hinted to me that this wasn't an *excellent* drama. There's just something missing from this show to make it excellent.
On a positive note, Lee Jun Ki did a very good job with this role. He was utterly committed in all aspects - the action scenes, his conversations with In-hye or his daughter Su-jin, and in particular, my favourite, the scenes of self-reflection. Park Ha-sun was good too, particularly in the flashback scenes.
The villains were alright, but I guess one thing that got me frustrated was how the villains could sometimes outsmart the good guys so easily, or even how the villains were so incompetent at being villainous.
On the whole, a very very thrilling ride, packed with action but emotionally compelling and heartwrenching.

The story of this drama was very well developed and everything was spaced out very evenly. You would think that because this drama is so long with 29 episodes that the story would drag out, but no. Never once was I bored, and as soon as one storyline ended a transition was carried out smoothly and the next storyline took off without a hitch. The great thing about this drama is that each character gets his/her own little story. Every one of them have depth, which is why the entire series is so heart-wrenching. If you're wary of watching this because of the episode count, don't worry its entirely worth it. The first couple of episodes may be slow because it's a backstory, but I promise you'll get hooked as soon as the actual story starts.
Oh, dear. The characters. I'm warning you, this is going to be a reaally long paragraph. First of all, let me start off with Yeo Woon. Freaking Yeo Woon. Woon is just so....Agh seriously. Woon is by far the most pitiful character I've ever come across. His fate was to walk a lonely path, and he walked on the path alone until the end. He's someone who's essentially a prodigy. He has amazing martial arts skills, and he has friends and people he can rely on. But he was raised to be an assassin. He has to betray his friends. He likes someone but her heart is taken by his best friend. And yet still he walked that path alone. To be an assassin is to bear someone else's pain. Woon bears so much pain by himself, but in the end no one was there to help him carry his burden. In the end he was the most selfless person out of all of them, but no one knew that except for us pitiful viewers. His character is just so so so sad. He never let himself have happiness. Always blinded by that stupid fate of his. I cry for him, but he's not even real. That's just how pitiful he is. Anyone that watches this will not only pity him, but also love him too. He's supposed to be a bad guy, but we all love him anyway. He just has this cool aura of badass. Not to mention he's played by Yoo. Seung. Ho. Like dayum boi he can really pull off long hair, I'm sure gonna miss it. Then again, both the child actor and the adult actor can pull off Woon's swaggy long hair. I would get into the other characters, but then I would be writing a novel. But seriously, if you're still hesitant, watch the drama for Yeo Woon. You definitely will not regret it. And then of course, are the first generation characters. Honestly Ga-ok, Gwang-taek, and Chun are pretty much Dong-soo, Ji-sun, and Woon. They had a heart breaking story, and I really appreciated the fact that their storyline was actually physically in the drama. They're not just random characters who are just THERE. They have their own story, their own flash backs, and their own plot twists. I also really liked most of the female roles in this drama. They were all independent and stood up for themselves. Sure, they had damsel in distress moments but even if they needed to be rescued they were brave despite the circumstances. I love a good strong female role, so this was very satisfying. The only complaint I have about this is Ji Sun. While I appreciate the fact that she can shoot a bow well and that she's a strong independent woman, she's just so bland. Her face is always the same, sometimes I even think that maybe the episode had stopped playing or something. Her voice also never changes. It's the same with everyone she talks to. No emotion put into it, no nothing. Not to mention she had no chemistry with Ji Chang Wook whatsoever. But yeah, that's all. Yeo Woon. Did I mention Yeo Woon?
I really enjoyed the music. They were paired perfectly with scenes, and thanks to the music during some sad scenes I would burst out sobbing, it was just so sad. During happy scenes, I would laugh and smile along with the characters. And the fight scenes. Oh, the fight scenes. Literally they looked so genuinely epic it made me want to learn martial arts. Except of course, in modern day swords are completely useless against guns. Still, swords may be useless, but there's a reason they call it martial ARTS. Swordsmanship really is an art. It's beautiful, graceful, and deadly. Getting off topic here, but yes I will definitely be downloading some songs. (*cough* Wild by Park Eun Tae *cough*)
Overall, this drama was a beautiful drama. Tragic, but beautiful. I really hated the ending though, so much that I wanted to cry. It's not so much that the ending was a bad one, it was just one that I personally did not like because it was so heartbreaking. I understand though, that it was needed. I got closure. But I sobbed my heart out in that last episode. For a cast of characters that aren't even real. Ha. But that's just what dramas do to us, huh? Anyway, please please watch this drama. I swear you won't regret it. Yeo Woonnie, Fighting!

The story is amazing and touching.
The music is cryable (every dang time that theme tune comes on I wail like whale!).
The interactive between both characters and the actual actors themselves is so amazing and their friendship both on and off screen can be see and is so tight knit!
The tumbling is amazeballs of course!
You just can't not watch this drama and not feel like crying from sadness or from utter joy!
As you can tell; this is the dorama I cry at every 10 minutes!!
It is truelly an amazing and touching story <3

This is the first time, I have seen the second leads get their show going and then the mains come in after the fact. interesting in a good way. The second leads are the life of the drama, crackling with good-natured energy and enthusiasm. The second lead male is like a boy who never grew up, you want to scold him but smile instead, in that way the actor fit the character to a T. The main leads are GORGEOUS to look at. WOW his smile! and she is very charming too. The supporting cast is well-built up too. The main parents and Aunt are hilarious, so many meta references to their real-life accomplishments was a sneaky humor. The Main's Dad was so lovable, Best Dad Ever!.
The reasons why some act as they do is all made obvious to the viewer. No screechy females, no over the top villains, no deathly melodrama either, which is good. The music sits well with the situations. Every thing was going sooooo well, then why did I suddenly began to skip......... for the simple reason it...began...to.....draaag. So many good points and then so many let downs. Oh my disappointment! But I still watched it to the end hoping for it to pick up tempo and thankfully it did, towards then end.Not a lot, but enough to make me feel my time wasn't all lost.
So watch it with a smile, my advice: when progress becomes slow, reach for the forward button but don't miss out on the ending.

At times it made me cry, it made me laugh, and the whole way through it was enjoyable. So now to try to give a review without spoiling anything.
Now, the drama isn't anything incredible or special, but it does have it's charm and it is underappreciated in my opinion. The show starts following the common mold of the two main protagonists, Sun Wu Di and Mei Shan Bao, as enemies who soon develop a friendship and even something more. Fortunately, in the case of this drama, that doesn't stagger longer than necessary, and the development of their interactions are reasonably paced and not too forced.
The acting was pretty good, although at certain moments I feel certain actors were overdoing it (though it may have been for comedic effect). I feel that although the drama overall can be considered light and comedic, there were quite a number of dark and melodramatic situations. I'd rate the acting for the leads at about an 8.5. I also really found it interesting to see Roy Chiu play the character he did. I haven't seen him play an antagonist role prior to this drama, and I feel that he did a fantastic job. What's best is that his character isn't some jealous antagonistic a-hole for the sake of it. This character's psychological status and doings were all as a result of valid reasoning against the protagonist.
The music was alright, although I really only enjoyed about 2 of the songs I've heard. One of them being the theme song. I'd rate the music at about a 6.
Would I rewatch this drama? I *personally* wouldn't, but that's mainly because I personally have a tendency to put shows off longer than intended and I already have enough shows (Asian drama or not) that I plan to watch. For other people however, I'd say I'd rate the rewatch value at about a 6-7.
I'd give the storyline an 8 and the overall rating a 7.5, maybe 8.
