Story: The plot was a little exaggerated, but then again it’s a fictional movie that’s based off of a manga. Of course it’s going to be a little out there. Still, it was really funny and romantic. Since there is nothing similar to this movie out of all the remakes, you literally wonder what the hell will happen to them next. Just how far will everyone push each other?

Music: I honestly didn’t pay much attention to the music. I think the theme, One Love by Arashi, is really good. Not sure why it starts out with Bag Pipes though.

Cast/Acting: They all stay in touch with their characters, though sometimes it felt a little over played.

Story: At first this sounds like a very sad story, like 1 Litre of Tears. I put off watching it because of that impression. The movie is generally more upbeat then the synopsis lets on. You get to see inside a science fiction writers mind and truly understand just what they’re thinking. Some of the stories that he had come up with were so ridiculous that you have to laugh. You’ve either got to very imaginative or clinically insane to come up with the ideas that he did. But it wasn’t just about the funny short stories. The relationship between Sakutaro and Setsuko is cute and it is really enjoyable to watch this movie.

The only problem I face is, to me, this is the kind of movie where once you watch it you don’t really want to watch it again because you know what’s going to happen and it isn’t funny anymore. I shouldn’t say ‘funny’ because Setsuko is sick, but once you watch it you’ll understand. It was very enjoyable to watch.

Music: I didn’t pay much attention to the soundtrack. I was too busy laughing and crying.

Cast/Acting: Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Yuko Takeuchi did a good job. In the movie the two of them have a thing for robots and I really liked how Tsuyoshi Kusanagi kind of seemed like a robot himself. Not in a he-can’t-act-he-is-emotionless kind of way. It’s kind of like how he was so intent with writing and keeping his wife by his side. He was so focused and sincere.

Story: What doesn’t sound interesting about this movie? Not only is it funny and cute, it also contains a very important message. The way I saw the message is, beauty equals corruption. Extensive plastic surgery, eating disorders and such. I’m not saying being beautiful is wrong or corrupt. Only the way some people go about achieving it.

I found this movie very funny, the way people treated her, pre and post-surgery. I loved Ha-na’s character and disliked others, but that’s part of the fun of watching this movie. Seeing how people react and change the way they are and think. There was a ton of growth in several of the characters through out this movie. It isn’t just a shallow movie with funny parts. Kim Ah-Joong has you laughing within the first ten minutes.

Music: Some of the best music I’ve ever heard. Kim Ah-Joong, who played Ha-na and Jenny sang all of the songs, including Maria. I’d watch this movie again just to hear her sing.

Cast/Acting: In addition to a beautiful voice, she can really act. Kim Ah-Joong is a triple threat, displayed well in this production. She was very sincere and put a lot of work into her performance. Ji Seo-Yun, who played antagonist Amy, did an excellent job as well.

Story: How could a plot like that not capture your attention? The whole movie was a little bit suspenseful, though I wish there had been more suspense, and even a little bit romantic, which I found creative. It’s interesting to see romance worked into a murder mystery without everything being so over-exaggerated and bombing. It turned out pretty nice here and even brought on some parts that made me laugh. This story falls more into the mystery genre, so don’t go in thinking you’ll be scared. It’s not very scary at all, but there are a lot of plot twists so it keeps you on edge. And trust me, the ending when you find out who the killer is, will blow your mind. It blew mine.

Music: There’s hardly any music. For a movie like this I think that’s a good thing. It doesn’t distract you from whats going on. The times where you do hear ‘music’ is just background drums and such when time is pressed.

Cast/Acting: I wouldn’t say the acting is bad, because Kang So-ra and Yoo Seung Ho did a pretty good job, there’s just room for improvement. The parts where they really preformed their best were the romantic ones.

Story: If you’re a Super Junior fan you’re going to love this. The plot sounds funny and immediately drags you into watching the movie. I was a little disappointed. The characters were so exuberant I couldn’t help but dislike them. At times the acting felt forced or as if they weren’t trying. Not just the members of Super Junior, but minor characters too. A lot of the comedy seemed over exaggerated, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t laugh. Because I did, a lot. And I LIKED IT, a lot.

Music: A pretty good OST, I listen to it quite often.

Cast/Acting: As I said earlier it could have been better. That doesn’t mean the acting was bad, because it wasn’t. They were pretty comical.

Story: For me it was the title that pulled me in. I had no idea about the actors that were in it. Just the title sounds good, 71 student soldiers fighting in a battle that they thought might not happen. They had even been told that the chances of them fighting were slim, that all they needed to do was to hold out for a few days until reinforcement arrived. Instead of that happening, they engaged the North Korean forces on several occasions, all with devastating results.

I wish they had given us a little bit of background for some of the characters. The only flashbacks into the past is when the students are leaving and all the mothers are sending their children off. However, the fact that the director and producers were able to make me cry so hard and so much without any back story is amazing. They get you hooked on the characters by who they are and their relationships with each other. It is breathtaking the way they all stand together, fight with and side by side. There is so much growth in every single character that it breaks your heart when the real fighting begins.

The entire time I watched this my hands were covering my mouth and I was holding my breath. I forgot to breathe several times and became dizzy. It is that intense.

Music: Honestly, I didn’t pay much attention to the music. I was too busy crying and watching the action going on.

Cast/Acting: It’s no wonder that Choi Seung-hyun, T.O.P, won two awards for this movie. I haven’t seen acting this good since I watched 1 Litre of Tears. Their performances are so breathtaking and so heartfelt that it breaks your heart. Even the more minor characters. You can’t help but want to reach out and hold each and every one of them. Even the ones you hated at first.

This movie is boss! Its a must watch! So much intelligence was put into this!

Its has great martial art fights but its not even too focused on that. The intelligence is found in the way the story is revealed to the audience. Such awesome directing! The synopsis tells you all you need to know to begin watching the movie but when I watched it, I had no clue what it was about aside from the fact that it was a martial arts movie featuring Donnie Yen. In the end, the only issue I found with this movie is that the 1st half of it is so awesome and engages the audience thoroughly in this roller-coaster ride (a 10/10), while the second half of it is a bit dull in comparison like the roller coaster slowed down a bit (a 7/10). All together it still remains and awesome movie which I rate 9/10. Highly recommended! XD

Really great drama that touches your heart. Some part was like heartbreaking and some part was just very touching and some part just made you squeal at their cuteness.
There is like 2 sides of the story, and you first see side A of the story where everything is all fairy tale like, and everything is all like a scene out of a fairytale picture book. All the scene was very romantic and it seems exactly like a picture out of those romantic couple pictures.
Then there is the other side of the story, which is side B in the later half on the story that tells the background of the story and the truth of the story and how all that fairy tale was all planned in the begining and it just breaks your heart. But this later part explain the whole story and you get sad becasue both sides of the story is really sad, and the more sad part is the ending becasue the girl is gone, and although everyone is sad but everyone lives change becasue of that, and they are all left with beaurtiful memories though it really is suuch a shame how they could not be togehter, and that he later realize that what he felt for her was not just a game but acutally real love
The music sung in the movie was all really great and it went well with the drama and the guy sang really good and all the time the guy sang for her it made me went crazy at how loveable and cute it was.
All the acting was really great and the acting felt really true, it was not like bad acting like you see in some dramas these days but it was geninue acting that touches your heart and can make you feel emotional over the drama
If you have a lot of time and looking for a great movie or a great chick film this is the movie for you because it is a beautiful love story that may have been a game in the begining but later turns into real love.

Story: It sounds like a cute little love story between Soyo and Hiromi and it is. Well, it is more awkward than cute but that’s the charm. In my opinion, that’s all this movie has going for it. It was rather boring with no plot line at all. Just a movie about a small town with 7 kids under the age of 15. Literally, that’s all. They all walk to school together, go swimming together and when someone actually moves into the village and it’s a boy, things get interesting.

Despite the boring plot, that basically consists of Soyo saying the wrong things to the wrong people and trading her first kiss for Hiromi’s jacket, it was kind of pleasant. The village is small and time seems to pass by slowly. It gives you the sense that everything is peaceful and relaxing. It’s the kind of movie where it reteaches you the values of friendship and puppy love.

It doesn’t have a dynamic plot, which most people like. It is more scenic, quiet, and dealing with the small things that happen in a village where everyone has known each other since birth. It wasn’t that bad of a movie, just one where I had to force myself to finish it. And I only did so because of Masaki Okada.

Music: In addition to an almost non-existent plot, the music is pretty much the same: non-existent.

Cast/Acting: I mentioned earlier that parts of the movie were awkward. I don’t mean the director or the script. There was a scene where Soyo wanted to kiss Hiromi, but never having really kissed a boy before she’s bad and they bump teeth. Kaho and Masaki Okada were very good at acting as an awkward couple and being out of place. They are both amazing actors and had such great chemistry. He really seemed like a horny boy from Tokyo, being forced to live in the sticks. Well, he isn’t really ‘horny’ per say. He tries to kiss Soyo several times without her realizing it, or really wanting it (at the moment). She even catches him talking on the phone about their interactions to his friends in the city.

The extended cast was great too. The other school children all seemed very close and did a great job acting as friends too. You don’t really see much of the parents, expect for Soyo’s and Hiromi’s mother.

“ESP Couple” really is quite bizarre, with a meandering plot that basically jumps from set piece to set piece as Hyun Jin drags Su Min between daft situations, such as trying to use his powers to get them a free lunch or to attempting to read the minds of strangers to find out if they have ever been rock climbing. However, Kim holds things together thanks to an intriguing undercurrent of mystery as to exactly who Hyun Jin really is and what her motivations for driving Su Min might be. Although most experienced viewers will have likely guessed the big twist long before the final act thanks to a series of increasingly obvious hints, it works well and manages to tie all the loose ends together quite nicely.

In terms of both romance and comedy, the film is surprisingly, though pleasingly low-key. Although the relationship between Hyun Jin and Su Min builds in predictable fashion and is hampered by its inevitability, it never feels forced, and Kim stops short of allowing unbelievable full love to blossom. As such, it is all the more convincing for it, thanks in part to charming performances from both Park Bo Young and Jin Goo, and the film is genuinely quite touching towards the end in a manner which makes the final twist far easier to swallow. Similarly, the film is amusing throughout, though in deadpan fashion, with little in the way of over the top slapstick or tiresome pratfalls. Kim derives most of the humour from the strange situations which the characters end up in, and as such ensures that the laughs never detract from the plot.
Visually the film is quite impressive, with Kim representing Su Min’s psychic powers through strange flickering images, blurring and shaky camera work, all of which is effective without being over the top. As might be expected from an editor turned director, he keeps the film tight and well paced, and clocking in at only an hour and twenty minutes it never outstays its welcome. He does employ a variety of different techniques and styles that help to keep the film interesting, though in controlled fashion and without ever lapsing into the kind of forced stylishness that so many first time directors are prone to. Also in the film’s favour is the fact that Kim shies away from too many mock cute touches, saving it all for one long, silent animated explanatory sequence near the end, which actually works very well. That journey, for the most part, relies largely on the chemistry between Jin Goo and Park Bo-yeong. It reminds me somewhat of ‘My Sassy Girl’, another tale of the reluctant guy being chased by a cute but mysterious girl. There, the chemistry is not only strong, but it is also one that broke new grounds. Since then, many others have tried to replicate that but here’s a film that gets close to replicating that. The complete opposite nature of the two helps, but I have to admit, it is Park Bo-yeong’s ability to look totally, utterly, butterly cute that influences this review. Jin Goo, on the other hand, doesn’t have a difficult time playing the straight guy here. He’s the one who’s reluctant to use his powers, even in dire and desperate situations. Witness the hilarious restaurant sequence, when Hyun-jin pushes Su-min to get them a free lunch. Asking random strangers as to whether they’ve done any rock-climbing also doesn’t rank very highly on the normal-o-meter. But it is the quirkiness that is charming in its own way.

As such, “ESP Couple” is short and sweet, and although it does end a little abruptly, is one of the few films of its type to leave the viewer wanting more. Sufficiently different to stand out from the crowd, it delivers charmingly entertaining viewing that successfully mixes a variety of genres to wacky, though surprisingly coherent effective. Having shown himself to be an eccentric talent, it will be interesting to see what director Kim Hyung Joo turns his hand to next, though it is certainly hoped that he will continue down such a creative and oddball road.

*Ladies and gentlemen please be warned that you need a tissue box near you when you watch this movie. It is a necessity. And also prepare to look like a mess. *

Story:
You don't understand how amazing this movie is. To people who have viewed others who went to jail with disgust or contempt. Young lady/man you better go and watch this. It will change your thoughts/feelings on this matter. The theme of this movie is not a light one. But the director made it work. A woman who is convicted of manslaughter for accidently killing her abusive husband. Gives birth in jail and chooses to raise her baby boy, Min Woo. But heres the catch, she can only keep him for 18 months. Then afterwards he is sent to adoption. Seriously she made the right choice. You should see the baby boy (absolutely gorgeous), his always smiling and filled with life. There's also the inmates, each with their own story to tell.

Acting/Cast:
The acting was perfection. Whoever played the role for baby Min Woo is the best! I'm a sucker for babies!
Kim Yoon Jin is such an azmazing actress. Her betrayal of Jeong Hye is flawless. I could not imagine someone else even playing the role. She's a woman who loves her baby boy above everything and anything. I love her.
Na Moon Hee, Lee Da Hee, Kang Ye Won, Jung Soo Young, Park Jun Myun are all very commendable actresses. There are others as well but their the main ones. Everyone had this atmosphere, where they feed of each others energy. It was amazing!

Music:
*tears* When they all sang together, I felt like angels were singing. Especially the ending songs, I couldn't stop crying. Music is a very important part of this film.

Rewatch:
You must be all wondering why on earth I haven't given a 10 for this. There is only one reason, I don't want to have another cry fest.

Overall:
10/10. What is there more to say. Except GO AND WATCH IT NOW!

Watching this mess of a film was a depressingly big waste of time. Director Gordon Chan delivers a ham-fisted direction that leaves the viewer clueless as to what type of movie they are watching, resulting in parts that feel woefully out of place. At least the action scenes are good. Visually it is stunning and the acting and action are decent but the delivery was poor.

It’s as if he tried to jam every popular genre and idea into this film without a comprehensive road map to make it work. This film was poorly executed but there is enough in it that this COULD have been a truly awesome film if the director spent more time thinking and planning and less time grandstanding.

I'll admit it: I only watched this movie bc of Cha Tae Hyun. I usually don't watch this kind of movie (what with the disappointment that came with "Seabiscuit"), but, boy, was I pleasantly surprised!

Although the plot was kind of textbook (man and animal work together toward a common goal after undergoing a trauma), I loved the execution! (Sidenote: The cinematography was beautiful.)The character development was excellent: They take you into the mind and heart of Seung Ho and Wu Bak as well as the development of the relationship that helped them achieve their goals. It's like you experience their losses and it helps bring you into the film. The supporting characters like Ye Seung, the Samchons (Uncles) and even the baddies made this film all the more better.

This film had a great cast! I couldn't be happier to see Kim Soo Jung as Tae Hyun's little girl. I had seen her on Star Golden Bell, but I didn't know how she would do in a film. She was amazing ^^. Kim Sang Ho and the other samchons (uncles) were excellent in providing comic relief. [FUN FACT: Park Ha Sun was actually Tae Hyun's younger sister in another film (BA:BO) and in this film she was kind of a love interest.] Cha Tae Hyun was a delight to watch. I'm always amazed at how well he controls tears lol. He would tear up (as would I) then immediately start to laugh to try to conceal that he was crying (but I'd start bawling my eyes out). I hope I'm not the only one who does this... -_____-;

I heard the soundtrack before watching the movie. (Mainly, because the OST comes out before the movie has been subbed. Heh.) I liked it and Tae Hyun sings a song on the OST (Happiness)! ^^

For being the type of movie I shy away from, I would actually watch this again. And no doubt, I would probably cry just as much. (What is it with Tae Hyun's films making me cry?!)

If you like tear-jerkers, inspirational/soul-filled moments, heartwarming relationships, and some hilarious self-defense moves sprinkled here and there...
then you've picked the right movie! Watch it naooooo!

This movie...I can't even...what did I just watch?
Haha...warning: this movie is not to be taken seriously at all.

I was in the mood for a light movie with one of my favorite actors: Lee Bum Soo. I had no idea what I was setting myself up for. This movie is just utter silly-ness. I mean it in a good way, but it can go either way depending on whether this movie is your type.

The plot was just like it was written in the synopsis. It takes you through the various pathways an investigation can take you on. They just sprinkled a lot of frustratingly unfortunate events. Jeong Seung Pil's hopeless situation is worsened by the biased conclusions brought up by those investigating his absence. I was quite frustrated by the lack of common sense and reason. And at the end, somehow, they were able to piece everything together within minutes of what would have been a devastating calamity. Siiiighhh. It was a little annoying to me, but without this silly-ness, there wouldn't have been much of a point to the movie.

I had never seen Kim Gyu Ri outside of a serious, dramatic role, and I gotta say, it was refreshing. Although they didn't play the main roles, I loved watching Lee Han Wi, Lee Won Jong, and Kim Kwang Kyu (seriously, these men are in everything!). As much as I want to sing multiple praises about how well Lee Bum Soo did in this film, I'll keep it simple and say he was awesome.

The music didn't really catch my atttention, so I apologize for not saying much on this front.

Would I re-watch this? Maybe. It might be too frustrating for me to sit through it again, even though I did like it. -____-;

Conclusively, if you like skewed-clues, skeleton-revealing (the secret kind not literal), sudden-deductions, shady-looking-yet-essential-side-stories, and all-around silly-ness, then this might be the movie for you!

It has a great cast, great story line, and amazing soundtrack. The acting was good and so was the script. You sort of fall in love with the main characters and the chemistry they have with each other. At points it does get confusing if you don't pay attention (especially since there are so many characters to keep track of), but you'll eventually figure out what's going on. There were some pretty cool fight scenes. The cinematography was excellent. The movie is filled with cool shots. Most importantly, it was entertaining. Overall, a very good action movie.
