A great episode!
Though truth be told, all the episodes before this were great. The previous light-hearted moments between Seung Nyang and Baby Emperor have ended and has been replaced with seriously angst-ridden (and extraordinary envious, coveting and sad eyes by said Baby Emperor)staring battles between these two and if Wang Yoo's around, it's much worse (especially on the part of Baby Emperor). Needless to say, I enjoy these moments immensely.
Wang Yoo and Seung Nyang's relationship took a big step in this episode which I'm hoping to see if there's repercussions of this decision later on. Notably as well, there seems to have been some sort of realization on Seung Nyang's behalf with regards to the Emperor. I'm not sure how important that epiphany was seeing as Seung Nyang decided one path and then switched to the other later that same day. This, I would say, was a more puzzling part of the episode.
Then there's Wang Yoo, who's playing both sides of the field. It's dangerous and potentially life-taking but the man is desperate, it seems, to go back to his beloved kingdom with his newly acquired promised Queen. Who can blame him really?
Licorice tea actually ended up playing a big role in this episode. It's amazing how much someone's personal tea preference can ruin a big faked death plan.
The episode ended on a huge moment just when the war's about to start and Seung Nyang rides to warn her side that there's been a snag in the plans and Great Prime Minister is actually very much alive and kicking.
I'm anxious to see El Temur be defeated for once and hopefully resulting in his real death. Ditto Yom Byung Soo. I have a feeling Baek An and Tal Tal may end up taking a fall somewhere along the way. I hope not for I will grieve the loss of Tal Tal's wondrous ponytail and deep voice.
Baby Emperor's big plan is bound to fail, I think, but kudos to him for giving it a try. These last 20 episodes has seen some progression in his character though he's driven by ideas of revenge and jealousy which is not always the best for success. I can't wait to see how things progress to reach the point of the first episode.

Really, really great episode. I didn't expect much from this drama but with each episode, it keeps getting better and better.
Woo Bin is quickly becoming my favourite actor in this drama because of his character, Choi Young Do, and his charm. He was a jerk in the first episode but he's quickly developing into a great character. I loved the scene he had with his dog as insignificant a scene like that might be; it showed that he has a good nature deep beneath his tough guy persona. I also love the chemistry between Kim Woo Bin and Park Shin Hye. They have a natural air whenever they're in a scene together (and that's only been 3 times) which is making me root hard for the Eun Sang/Young Do relationship more so than they man Eun Sang/Tan relationship. I can't wait to see how that develops further especially since the episode ended with a clear love triangle foreshadowing.
This drama bears strong similarities to Gossip Girl that become more apparent with each episode (in this episode it was the interaction between Chan Young's dad and Rachel's mom that made it seem like GG's Rufus/Lilly). They mixed up some of the relationships in GG but the overall feeling is still there. However, seeing how popular GG was, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing for Heirs (also, I adore the drama that's brewing).
So far, there's no character I truly dislike. Choi Jin Hyuk is doing well as the mean brother though I can see him softening in the moments he had with the tutor. Can we mention how good those suits look on him too?

I loved it from start to finish. You really have to appreciate how great Kim Tae Hee is in her progression of beautiful and naive Jang Ok Jung to a stunning and calculating Jang Hui Bin. And that ending? WOW! Way to go, JOJ!
Yoo Ah In is lovely as ever as is Lee Sang Yeob. Jae Hee's reported to make his debute as Chi Soo in the next episode so I can't wait!

This was actually a really good episode. Since they've come back to Korea, I've become a lot more interested. My only complaint is the number of times they set us up to think Tan and Eun Sung might actually see each other! My main interest was seeing Young Do fall for Cha Eun Sung so the scene she had was so great but at the same time, just too short!
However, the preview for episode 5 looks amazing. I can't wait for the next episode!
