Not normally a fan of far out dramas with crazy plots I was not originally that into this show as it had constant misunderstandings created by kissing. It actually grew on me as the story went along because of the great acting by the main leads and the great music (especially the last song on the closing credits and the one Tong Yan and Tong Yin sing at his senior center showcase). Why would the show confuse and horrify it's viewers in the last minute of the last show? You got me. Have no clue. It could have stopped before that last minute and been what most want: a story about genetics you can't change, accepting yourself for who you are, forgiving those that have wronged you, and finally finding true love. Instead we have a final scene that is hard to watch and comprehend. I won't condemn the overall show because it does have redeeming qualities. I just want to warn everyone that, as others have stated, the ending definitely is a 180 degree difference from the rest of the show. Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I think this will end up being one of my favorite lighter dramas. If you enjoy this drama I highly recommend the more action driven "Memories of the Alhambra" next.

Overall a homerun for the first live event. Am looking forward to many of the other planned live events (especially since some of the groups have never traveled to the US).

The biggest surprise was how versatilethe cast was and how the director was able to draw out everything from serious to comedic scenes from them. At times it gave me the feeling that someone like Mel Brooks was at the helm (especially for the really campy scenes). It's not an expensive production but I think they were able to do a good job job with sets, locations, and costumes. The ending had some surprises but overall it was a solid light romantic drama that I would definitely watch again (speed through for the most part). The primary leads didn't have the hottest chemistry but it could be somewhat explained by their lack of life experience. I did appreciate many scenes between them as they worked out their relationships. Come for the romance but stay for the funny and sometimes thoughtful storyline!

This show is Real and Shows the Messiness of A Relationship
It has not been directly mentioned in the show description but, because of my extended family experience with it, my assessment of Yan Mo is that he has some sort of autism spectrum disorder (ASD, probably Asperger's). I love that the story is based on real life and the manner in which the characters have been written and portrayed. Living and loving someone with ASD can be challenging at times (as shown by the awkward moments sprinkled throughout and this show really highlights that it is possible with the right partner.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I think the part that makes it stand out the most is the fact that after every show kept having more and more unbelievable endings /cliffhangers the NEXT show would top it again! They were not always the usual drama plots used by most screenwriters. Much of the show addressed the stereotypes and the beautiful aspects of marriage. I think the surprise was the honest way it dealt with the possible toxic aspect of breakups and betrayals.
The ONLY aspect of this show that did bother me was the way that the FL, an accomplished physician with a great reputation and well thought of by her peers, slowly sinks into a more desperate and single minded version of herself.
Each couple in the show displays various aspects of male /female expectations and miscommunications. They each offer various lessons on why it's important to be honest and upfront in a relationship vs. making assumptions and reading situations incorrectly.
I think the only person I truly felt sorry for is the psychiatrist that takes an interest in the FL and was the only example of an emotionally healthy adult who kept showing up intentionally and randomly and saving the day. He is one of the main reasons that would make watching a second season worthwhile.
TWOTM definitely is over the top and other articles have mentioned that certain episodes may trigger individuals with past psychiatric /abusive relationship/stalker/trauma issues. I can see how some scenes DEFINITELY could negatively affect someone that experienced any of those. Please be careful if you think this could be you.
Just yesterday this show received various nominations for the quality and abundance of great acting and production value. If you want to experience one of the wildest emotional rides ever watch this great adult drama.

Here to Heart Cast Reunion
So far up to the 12th episode I have enjoyed the pace and getting to know the different characters. The production value is high and the fashion has been a highlight. I especially love shows that educate the audience on traditional arts and this is no exception. So far we have seen embroidery, silk weaving, and batik dyeing. It's mostly a traditional cdrama but it has had a few interesting plot points. Another welcome aspect is that so far three of the more prominent characters in "Here to Heart" also appear in the main cast here. It's nice to see them again. Zhang Han is great again and wears an impeccable wardrobe that he carries off so well with his height. Normally would be watching this on Viki but with the English subs already included on Kukan (YT) I am seeing them there daily when they are released. Love the drama so far and can't wait to see its progression. Will update my review when I finish watching it.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
