Ruoxi makes her own move

Ruoxi finds herself at the center of three factions with the two working on a tactical alliance against the Crown Prince's.

While the Crown Prince is using the marriage proposal for purely political motivations, the 4th and 8th Princes make their calculated attack to mask their personal interests.

But whoa, say what now? Where did that proposal come from? Did it spring from the fact that Ruoxi knew Yinzheng was to become emperor that she is suddenly hanging on to him? Was this for her own sake because she was afraid of the impending chaos that will happen next?

Drops you another one

Just when you think the worst is over, Bradi Monday drops you another bomb~~or two.

With the bloody festival already thwarted, Fujimaru is now confronted with a terrorist dangling a secret--at their very own house. (Seriously, why do they have to go back there every single time? They need to get out of that house and relocate to some remote prefecture.)

Behind the light of hope dangles the shadow of despair.

They surely amped the methapors this time. Light and shadow. Hope and despair.

"Behind the light of hope dangles the shadow of despair."

And indeed, when phrased like that, it makes you want to give up than be encouraged.

THird-i and the high school students lose their end of the bargain with the terrorists. Hide succumbs to the deadly virus while the High Priest of the terrorist cult is set free.

Somewhere along this episode there's a nagging question that needs to be answered: Who is K?

Ouch--on so many levels

Joo Wal--what a pitiful man. Craving for love ever since he was a child but nobody would give him some. Given the chance to redeem himself and win Lady Hong Ryeong's favor, he backs out and realizes he cannot remain as her heartless killing puppet. How will he be able to come out of this situation, I am curious to see but for the meantime--he is NOT forgiven. Stabbed her once, maybe even twice...nope that ain't love, sweetie.

Finally a confession, but ouch, Arang just busted him. Tsk tsk. Didn't she tell you she won't last two full moons after? Still, how can you be so cruel, girl!?

Nothing like a heartbreak

There's nothing like a heartbreak brought by a love you cannot have.

Ja Eun is suffering so much and how she grew from those experience made her mature beyond her years.

Tae Hee becomes the dependent now. And how he tried to stop his voice from cracking at the end just broke my heart. He knows what's coming.

Fathers, sons and daughters

Kure, let's have it out and not drag it on.

The episode ends with Ja Eun unfortunately finding out what had happened between her father and Tae Hee's.

After all the talk about not letting her know, Ahjusshi is just too overcome with emotions to realize he had unwittingly blurted out the secret.

ANDWAEEEEE!

No, no, no, no, no!

What a really big mess. How can they let them just ransack the place? And let that woman walk away with the contract?! Doesn't Ja Eun know better than to get swindled again? Wae!

Why does this always happen to me?

Another episode ends with a big question.

What I can appreciate with this drama is the ability to balance and play around with its mini-plots and characters. One story is presented after another, after a problem pops up, another one gets resolved. While one side-story is being told, the other one is paused or follows after.

Tae Bum and Soo Young finally discuss about his past romance, the men of Ojakgyo Farm talk about returning it to Ja Eun. Bok Ja omoni is more worried about Ja Eun being resentful towards her than being able to stay at the farm. Ja Eun and Tae Hee are aldready building a closer relationship with one another (aigoo, that stare--it can melt a person!).

I am still waiting for Tae Shik to resolve his.

Am I going to get some sleep tonight??

I just wanted to finish this episode before I go to bed (hello. it's 2AM Q_Q), but the turn of events left such huge cliffhangers that watching the next episode is way too enticing to ignore!

Tae Bum and Soo Young finally get married, Tae Pil and Nam Gyeol imo finally gets introduced to each other, Tae Hee and Ja Eun creates a spark with a necktie, and Tae Shik gets his share of romance~~from three ladies.

Maybe just one more episode...?

Some things are about ready to explode

The story now is heavily revolving on Ja Eun.

When her copy of the orchard contract disappeared, Ja Eun accuses Bok Ja ahjumma and Halmoni of stealing the document. Without the contract, Ja Eun loses her authority as the owner of the orchard and is kicked out of the house.

I had held Bok Ja omma in high regard because she had been righteous and adamant that she didn't take it. But after seeing that it was contrary to what she had said, I felt disappointed and thought--'Omma has this flaw then.'

Tae Bum did it again and this time it did serious damage to Tae Hee's position as a police officer, and Ja Eun, of whatever is left of her dignity.

Reversals now: no matter how irritated I got with Ja Eun's whining at the last episode, I felt more sympathy for her in the end.

Awesomeness!

I know how some or most of us like bromance, how cute it is and how we like to make up fantasies about them. But here, here's a glimpse of the real world for us all. Not everybody is willing to accept homosexuality and the sting of rejection is always there.

However, the moment when your friends still stand by you regardless of your gender preference, then you can really say you have found true friends.

Mizusawa unlocks an emotional bond among the members of the gymnastics team and they are, again, made to become closer. We even clock Hino's reaction, a little something for the next episodes, perhaps?

Aha, thanks to Coach Gramps, they finally finished that routine--LOL! I hope to see more routines. :) Yaaaay!

Why so darn cute?

So darn cute! Doush'te!?

Is it my fault I like it that these boys are um--violent? Ah but more than living up to Bakada's name as the strongest, it is Bakada's boys protecting their own.

Tetsuya-kun really shone on this episode. More awesome fighting scenes, please! Demo, Tetsuya-kun knows~~!

I saw that!

It was a hint from Ep 5,but now gets clearer in Ep 6.

After punching a bully, Tetsuya is threatened to transfer. Tatsuya's approach to this problem was admirable though Fumie's words were better heard.

The two boys' admiration for her is shown in their own ways; Tetsuya through his smile and gentle words, and Tatsuya through his brute words and rough actions.

Let's see what this builds up to. :)
