Take my son away

Sun Jian and his army, after falling for Liu Biao's trap, are attacked on waters and forced to fight to death. The general suffers the most from the attack, where a number of arrows were buried on his armoured chest.

With pained difficulty, he leaves all his orders to his youngest son, Sun Quan--to help his elder brother to protect the Southlands and to give up the Imperial seal for Yuan Shu and Yuan Shao to fight over.

He finally instructs his aide to take away his son before his last breath escapes him. As Sun Quan is being carried away, the nine-year old's wailing face proved too much of a heartbreak.

I just lost it. TT____TT

Dummy-gege

Silly doesn't even begin to describe Guo Jing. How many times must Wanyan Kang fool this man to get it through his thick skull?

'Thank you for your cooperation, Guo Jing. You and Huang Rong are not needed anymore. You can go die now.'

Dummy!

Yang Kang truly becomes Wanyan Kang

Yang Kang has taken off his mask and shed his old self to reveal who he truly is. An envious traitor who doesn't deserve to be called anybody's son.

The moment he stabbed his sworn brother, two things were on my mind: Wanyang Kang found the perfect opportunity to get back at Guo Jing for being so blessed, and two, he used that to prove his loyalty to the man who was responsible for the death of his parents.

I wanted to bang Guo Jing's head to a wall to make him realize how he was betrayed but the man is either too good or he's just too dense. Heh, maybe he's both.

Of course, he's not dead

I need this to be the last episode I watch for tonight or else I'll end up watching the sun rise up on me.

I feel Rong'er is too sharp-tongued for her own good. She's at a disadvantage being isolated in an island with her poisoned shifu and the sly Ouyang Ke. But then her quick thinking proves to be her best weapon against Ke and she successfully led him into her trap.

Bad news: Old Venom lands on the secluded island

Good news: He has Guo Jing with him.

More bad news: Shifu Qi Gong may succumb to snake venom.

Even more bad news: Yang Kang leads the Mongol Prince Tolui into an ambush

More good news: Hua Zheng is alive and she rescues Tolui from the ambush

I want more...@_@

Not so dumb after all

Old Urchin Zhou's not so dumb after all. The keeper of the Nine Yin manual actually came up with an ingenious plan to teach Guo Jing all the parts of the two-volume manual.

Guo Jing's martial arts skills and inner strength are increased immensely and all he needs to do now is to master what he has learnt. The best part is he's innocent and so he can't harness it for evil.

It's entertaining to watch the Old Venom and the Old Beggar spar. Nothing can beat martial arts suspended in air. Can't wait to see Guo Jing and Ouyang Ke battle it out.

Dumb and dumber

I don't know how Guo Jing survives. If not for Huang Rong and the masters who have taught him, it's just sheer dumb luck. Well I guess dumb and evil don't go together since the evil characters in this series are just sly and for that they need to have a calculating nature.

Guo Jing meets Zhou Botong, Reverend Wang's disciple and unfortunately a tad dumber than our hero. How they're going to take on the Western Venom and the Eastern Heretic just beats me. :P

Mu Nianci and Yang Kang's repeated meeting and parting is becoming senseless, and as usual, I can't read Kang-ge's real intentions.

Two-faced

Just about everything in this drama is unpredictable. And I kind of like that I can't read what's going to happen next because they turn out to be interesting surprises.

Duan Tinde finally pays for his heaviest sin, but even his life isn't enough for 18 years of hardships that the two families endured because of his treachery.

Yang Kang continues to vacillate between his duty to avenge his parents and the greed that lures him to claim power and abandon everything else. I can only hope he overcomes it before he's sucked in.

Fast-paced and exciting

Oh man, these cliffhangers are a tease.

For 50 episodes, the story is fast-paced and the side-stories are developing alongside each other so it's hard to get bored--and it's cheating me of sleep. O_O

I found the confrontation between Mu Yi and Wanyang Honglie the toughest because one was upright and weak while the other was so wrong but he knew where to strike. Mu Yi was too guilt-ridden for not being able to find, provide, and protect his wife and son. And Honglie took advantage of it.

Kang is so dumbfounded at Niancis revelation I thought he was going to go 'violent' on her (read: make wild, passionate love to her), but then he...uh, WASHES HER FEET with flower-scented water--for the SECOND TIME. DUDE, snap out of it! Kiss her already!

Reminder to myself: never ever watch the closing credits because they'll spoil you.

When the two sworn brothers unwittingly meet

I have to take note of this episode because this is where things start to get interesting.

Eighteen years nearly drawing to a close and the promise is almost upon them. A few more characters are introduced (Chinese names are swimming in my head right now) but they all have parts to play in the plot. Loving how they are all tightly knitted to one another. Yuan Hong and Liu Shi Shi's characters are something to look forward to.

WTH, Cha Woo Hee!

What kind of mess is this? Mo's secretary obviously did it to set up the prosecutor and turn the whole case against them. I hate it that both Park Beum Jeong and Hang Woo already knew how rotten she is (a looong time ago) and yet they continued to stand behind her. What kind of a twisted mind do these people have?!

I kept on waiting for Woo Hee to step forward but now, wtf is this? She was already two steps ahead of everybody else but then she let herself be restrained by Hang Woo, and then later become the target of Mo Ga Bi's personal mercenary. Girl, what the hell were you thinking talking to Mo when you clearly know what she is capable of!

Mo snares a knight to serve her

How did this become another Hang Woo-Yoo Bang fight again?

Mo Ga Bi is like a chess queen; she can go in all sorts of different directions but she can't do a knight's move. She has Hang Woo for that. Stupid man is so ready to go away but he unwittingly becomes her minion.

Let it go, dude. Just let it go.

Power grab

Drama, why are you so good? I need to sleep, you know? I WANT to sleep. O_O

Oh this is hardcore corporate now. With company words like, shares and stockholders, heiress and her harabuji's will and testament, greedy secretaries, blackmail and persuasion. It's so dirty and complicated, you'd wonder if there's still a way to get the filth off.

I'm not totally rooting for Yeo Chi. This agasshi has much to learn and she can't learn the ropes in a year. So between her and Clark Kent, the latter is formidable and he's got credentials for it. But to take this from her when he's fully aware that she's shouldn't be the object of his revenge isn't just--even by his own standards.

Director Mo is a hateful character but I love Kim Suh Yung for her passionate portrayal. She's the b**ch!

Lol at Hang Woo and Woo Hee at the elevator! Totally ship them!

Divide and rule

While the rich play around, the lowly salaryman and workers toil and suffer.

The chairman, his inutile board of directors and Choi Hang Woo are all the same. They all want to stay in power or climb higher, regardless of who they step on. In the middle of a power grab, the small people become most hurt and this has got to be the episode where I saw Choi Hang Woo at his ugliest. Can he get any uglier?

Going to Rwanda

I bet he's not going to Rwanda. If that is so, I hope Ji Won bangs her head with a book to realize she's just infatuated with the idea of doing community service in a far-flung area. If she keeps on being willful about it, I hope they let her leave so she'd know harsh and difficult life is, and maybe then she'll appreciate what she had and grow a little bit more.

Stubborn brat. Last four episodes. Thank God.

All the wait worthwhile

At a teachers' dinner-together, Park Ji Sun seongsaeng replies what kind of man she is looking for.

"Even if he's not all fancy, someone who will always stand by my side and never leave me.

As time passes, I realize those are the best type of men.

Rather than someone who talks a big game, someone who silently looks out for you..."

Park Ha Sun quietly muses on her reply while her eyes observes Yoon Ji Suk seongsaeng in front of her.

Yes, sweetie. Please accept his heart.
