They both belong to the same universe. Although made by different production company and with a different cast selection, the essential characters of both series belong to the same universe, both in the drama and the novel. Both novels are by the author MAME.
Similarities are that both dramas essentially revolve around old cases that were never solved. Both having a police force setting that revolves around crime solving.
Both shows focus on cases that have occurred a few ages ago but have never been solved. Both have many cases that are solved throughout the show, with a main focal case in the background.
This is the first season of this show. The cases are showcased in both seasons very interestingly. Both seasons have many cases, each per episode which are always solved nicely.
Both actors are a part of this 2 Moons. If you feel incomplete after watching this, you might as well watch 2 Moons (although you may also be disappointed there.) Just watch the two act in the same screen space .
The Two Worlds is based on a manga, but AWTG4 is a spinoff around the world.
