A truly beautiful story where love is timeless. No matter how much both try to forget each other through time travel or to save one another, they will end up falling in love because that's what their fate or destiny is. Byeon woo seok, I dont know where he has been all this time, but he is such an outstanding actor. It was really a comfort drama which made me go through an literal emotional rollercoaster every monday and tuesday. Indeed it was a bit frustating and exhausting to see them time traveling several times and thereafter situations getting complicated, but that's what made the last episode more satisfying and thrilling. I have to admit that I was worried about this series. That's because I didn't know what to expect from Kim Hye-Yoon. I saw her in Snowdrop, so I didn't know how her role would fit here in this series. Concerns were removed very quickly. The series looks good. The plot is fluid, tense, funny, entertaining but also serious and sad. The theme of time travel is not new, but the creators handled it well. The story has its own mystery and nice processing. But I have to admit that she was nervous about the last part, and I was waiting to see if there would be some twist at the end. And yes, Byeon Woo-seok charms many a woman's heart. You can also find his singing performances on Spotify under the name of the fictional serial group Eclipse:-D. And singer 10CM also released a great OST song - Spring snow.

This drama has split reviews. People either hate it or love it. One thing I can say to people who haven't watched it - make your own choice. I watched this drama without reading the reviews or expecting anything, and I ended up enjoying the show. Yes, there were weaknesses in the plot, but the cast carried the plot through in times where it seemed to falter. Sto amando questo drama, sono al 6 episodio e per ora la storia è avvincente, diversa dal solito e con continui colpi di scena. Merita tanto! Era da molto che non trovavo un drama fatto cosi bene, ogni episodio è perfetto infatti a distanza di minuti riesci a ridere/commuovertiTratta inoltre un tema molto importante al giorno d'oggi: la depressione/salute mentale, e devo dire al momento questo tema è trattato in modo "leggero" ma con tanti significati sottostanti
Lo consiglio a chiunque, soprattutto a chi non sta passando un bel periodo ❤️

Beautiful, Captivating & Chemistry - These are the words I would use to describe this drama. This time-traveling romance masterfully explores the concept of fate, setting it apart with its exceptional execution. The story transforms a complex narrative into a compelling reality, making the extraordinary feel profoundly real.I absolutely adore this drama - everything about it captivated me every Monday and Tuesday without fail. I was eager to keep watching each week. Every episode left me with a flurry of emotions: it tackled difficult topics such as grief, love and growing up. The one thing that I loved the most about this drama was the realism; it portrayed the difficulties of life and love as well as the difficulties of losing the one you love to keep them safe. All around: this drama was incredible.

Lovely Runner is the perfect example of what happens when amazing actors, amazing directors, and an amazing writer come together.A true masterpiece in my opinion 👏 The show that nobody believed in became one of the most popular show of 2024 not just in South Korea but internationally!
Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok have been perfectly cast as Im Sol and Seon Jae. The script was written for KHY. To me it was fate that all of the other actors rejected Lovely Runner. Because it was fate for BWS to play Seon Jae. These two in my opinion were born to play Im Sol and Seon Jae.
This show is the perfect balance of romance and comedy. A true Rom-com! It has some heavy heartbreaking moments but they're carried out well. And the pacing of the show remains perfectly consistent till the end.
I'm glad they didn't over complicate the whole time travel thing. It was quite straightforward. Im Sol goes back in time to save Seon Jae from his impending death in 2023. There are no parallel timelines. Its one timeline thats being altered as Im Sol changes the choices she makes in the past in 2008/2009.
The end of Episode 2 changes the entire direction and pov of the show. Its not about Im Sol going back in time to save her Idol Ryu Seon Jae. It's Im Sol going back in time to save Seon Jae (who's first love is Im Sol). Idol Ryu Seon Jae didn't just write Sonagi for anyone, it was for his first love Im Sol. It was love at first sight for Seon Jae when he first met Im Sol when they were 18.
Im Sol tries many times to change Seon and her fate but finds out that some things are meant to be and will always happen.
✨️The most important one being, Seon Jae will always fall in love with Im Sol. She is his fate. Seon will always be there for, even if it kills him.
It's just like Seon Jae says, some choices you will always make. Even when you know the consequences (in this case Seon Jae's death). Because you like them. ✨️
This show gives us so many heartwarming moments. Seon Jae isn't just a green flag. Hes a green forest! Filled with nothing but love. Endless love for his Im Sol.
The ending of this show is perfect and represents SolJae so well.
Even though Sol goes back in time one last time and breaks the link that connected her and Seon Jae - as fate would have - Seon Jae took an instant liking for Sol when they cross paths again in 2023. And he falls in love with her again.
They way they showed Seon Jae gaining all of his memeories of all of the alternate timelines is beautifully done.
Im Sol that went through time and space finally succeeds in breaking the loop and is able to give Seon Jae a chance to live a long healthy life - with her by his side.
I love all of the parallels in this show. From their high school days to their college days to finally in 2023.
💯/10 for me. This is my favorite kdrama of all time! It'll always hold a special place in my heart.

THE PERFECT BLEND!!! ( of romance, fantasy, emotions, comedy, suspense and thrill)
Lovely runner is a coming of age drama that managed to blend together different aspects and actually made it work some how, lovely runner covers the emotional aspects through its plot and then it goes ahead and adds romance which is heartfluttering and heart warming and then goes ahead and adds in a little comedy to balance out the heaviness of the plot and then it continues to add in many other different aspects such as time travel which is done in a way I found interesting and Intruiging...it then goes ahead and adds suspense and thrill...all of this mixed up together to give as a memorable story....now it isn't easy to balance all of this together without giving much priority to one affecting the other but somehow lovely runner makes it work till the end.lovely runner tells the story of a fan who loses her idol and during her time of desparation finds her self travelling back in time to the time when her idol was in his highschool days....hence she takes it upon her self to protect him from harm....and make sure she lives to see the future.
I loved the build up of the idol and fan relationship, i loved how the idol was shown as some one who was their for the fan during her tough times and that added a specific emotion towards her bond with him.
We explore the story more and find out that there is more to these two's relationship than just then being fan and idol and that's when the fun begins.....
There are plenty of things I loved about this drama and I'll try to summarise them into five respectively....
THE PLOT : Any one would say that this story has been seen before and yes maybe it has but I loved how it was executed in a way that made it feel fresh to me as a watcher...like I said I love how they blended various aspects together to create something rather memorable.
THE ACTING : The acting was nothing short of being phenomenominal...every one gave their best and I love how they acted with passion, it was the kind of acting that draws you in as a viewer because you get to feel every little bit of emotion through these characters and it was really amazing....
THE CHARACTERISATION: The characters in this drama were made for the actors and actresses that took them on......my only flaw was that I wished that they fleshed out some of the characters a bit more for example I wanted to see the second male lead as more than just this cool guy but rather a glimpse of his personal life and his family something to get me connected to him as a person not that I wasn't but I needed a bit more...a other interesting character that felt wasted was lnyuk, his passion for music alone could have been a build up for his own story he would have shined.. because best believe he knows how to act but it felt like he was a guest role that only showed up when they needed some comedic reactions from him...I also kind of wished that his friendship with the male lead was fleshed out a bit...it would have been heartwarming to see their bromance...that felt lacking other than that the leads were written perfectly each felt complex and each felt like they had personality...the male lead being showed as this golden retriever and a string willed and headed female lead whose hate O wont entertain btw considering her actions and reactions to things were nothing short of how any human being would react......the characters were written well enough...
THE COMEDIC TIMING: This dramas strongest weapon was the spot on comedy..nothing felt un natural or forced..the characters them selves had amazing comedy timing..their reactions to things felt real to the point that some situations couldn't have really called for laughing but I did because the characters sold it...hearts off to the direction of the comedy scenes they added a charm to the story....
THE ROMANCE: what makes a good romance, the answer is being well written in a way that it doesn't cringe but rather gives you flutters and leaves you feeling single...and then the chemistry.. chemistry is such an important factor for me when it comes to romance having no CHEMISTRY ruins everything for me and thank God the leads had song chemistry..they had the tension, they had the cute interactions that felt natural it all felt right so I have to say in addition to the way their there romance was built I appreciated the chemistry that sold that romance to me...I also loved how their love story was a mixture of different genres...we had first love, live at first sight, he fell first and harder, unrequited love, friends to lovers, highschool sweethearts, college romance, adult romance, meet against, and many more....
THE OSTS: “ cause Iam falling slowly in love with you.." I have this on repeat....the osts were absolutely amazing.
This drama was the perfect blend...the romance was done well and so was the thrill and suspense in addition to the time travel and fantasy in addition to the comedy it was the perfect blend!!!
I'll wait to conclude my review before I watch the final episode.....

Muito bom, me conquistou do inicio ao fim, geralmente eu demoro um pouco para terminar alguns doramas mas eu so nao vi esse de uma vez porque estava em lançamento, todas as minhas segundas e terças feiras foram felizes por causa desse dorama.Kim Hye Yoon e Byeon Woo Seok foram incríveis nesses papeis principais, Hye yoon foi super divertida e entregou tudo, concerteza eu irei ver mais trabalhos dela
Em resumo é um K-drama super divertido e engraçado, me fez chorar algumas veses mais em todos os episódios eu dava pelo menos uma risada, recomendo muito 💗

It is PERFECTION
MDL needs to add a once-in-a-lifetime rating of "11 stars" because this drama would be 11 stars in every category.Everything about this show is perfection. It's so perfect, I'm actually sad, because no show will ever be this good again. And the ending. THE ENDING!! I've never watched such a satisfying ending for any show. Ever. The ending was beyond satisfying. SO GOOD. (sorry for all the random shouting, but THE ENDING!! AHHH!!!)
1. Story: PERFECTION. 11 stars. I was on the edge of my seat with every episode, I never knew what was going to happen. Do you know how difficult that is with a time-slip? With a romcom? Every trope was used and subverted at the same time. I am in awe. And the dialogue? Chef's kiss. Perfection. No line wasted. This is the very first time I've ever watched a show and was glued to my screen every moment. So many twists and turns and plot threads to weave together. The biggest twist in my opinion is at the end of episode 2. If you're not addicted to this drama after the end of episode 2, I would be shocked. SHOCKED!
2. Acting / Cast: MORE THAN PERFECTION. ∞ stars (infinite). Whatever is past perfection, that's the main couple of this show. They united the world, including Knetz, and we are all actively rooting for them to have their own HEA. The behind the scenes clips are *almost* as addictive to watch as the show, that's how amazing their chemistry is.
And the acting is so beautiful. I was fully engrossed in a time-slip, fantasy romance. I believed every minute of it and the actors sold and served. UGH! I can't say enough. I've never seen anything like this in a Kdrama before, and I've watched a lot of Kdramas.
3. Music: PERFECTION. 11 stars. In case you didn't know, the lead actor actually sung the 5 ECLIPSE OST songs and they are now on my permanent top favorite playlist. The rest of the OST is so beautiful. Other standout songs for me on the soundtrack: 'Like A Dream' by MINNIE and 'Spring Snow' by 10CM. The rest of the songs are also beautiful and so good. But the 5 ECLIPSE songs and these two are perfection.
4. Rewatch value: MORE THAN PERFECTION. ∞ stars (infinite) While it was airing, I think I re-watched the earlier episodes every week, or more than once a week. I've never done that before. Not once. And, not just that, I didn't fastforward older episodes, I watched the whole dang thing each time. And I know I'll re-watch this drama often in the future because I already miss it so much. *cries*
5. Overall: MY FAVORITE KDRAMA OF ALL TIME: My other favorites include Healer, Alchemy of Souls, and Goblin if you want an idea of what this drama is up against. This one wins, hands down.
Seriously (and sorry, not sorry) but if you don't love this drama as much as I do, I'm not sure we can be friends.

Lovely Runner it's undoubtedly one of the best dramas of 2024.It has all the elements that make a drama a mega hit: comedy, romance, time travel, well written characters (both leads and supporting ones) and an engaging plot line that never bores you. Starring Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok, adapted from the web novel The Best of Tomorrow by screenwriter Lee Shi Eun and directed by Yoon Jong Ho and Kim Tae Yub, the Lovely Runner team achieved a perfect execution in front and behind the scenes.
I think the true star of this drama it's the writing and on this I can't commend Lee Si Eun enough. I had already seen her potential in dramas like True Beauty but here she really manages to shine through a well crafted, smart and cohesive story with no loose ends. I'm incredibly impressed by her talent.
The writing was perfectly complemented by the directors's outstanding work in leading a film crew that was on every detail of each part of the story, in each timeline, never missing a beat. Always delivering their A+++ game. But there was also great work done from the directors part in helping the actors get the comedic timing exactly right, the more emotional scenes to deliver and the team work among cast and crew to be flawless.
This might be a big hit now, but it's actually a sleeper hit because the lack of promotion this drama had was embarrassing to watch and if it wasn't for the devoted fans, studio executives would have never realized they had a gem in their hands. So, Lovely Runner it's not only a great drama with a super fandom that really fought for this story, it's also becoming yet another prime example in the list of films and tv that achieved all of it by themselves because artists delivered nothing short of excellence.
On this point I can't ignore the incredible performances given by the entire cast. Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok are definitely the standouts, they stole the show, this is their story and the actors chemistry it's electrifying. But the way supportive actors would show up in a scene and push the story forward in a coherent way and even make it better, it's wild to me. The chemistry this cast had it's a rare feat for an ensamble cast and how they managed to transition seamlessly through different phases of their characters's lives and relationships when events, in each timeline, were changing because of the things our leads did they still remain truthful. So, not only the leads are well developed in this drama but also every single character that shows up, no matter how small the role is.
The best example of this it's actor Heo Hyeong-Gyu who has been working for sixteen years, playing very minor characters, finally having a breakthrough in the industry because of his role in this drama. And while his presence was prominent and important to the story, he barely had lines. So his entire performance is mainly based on micro-expressions or physical stunts.
I also fully expect the actors like Song Geon-Hee, Lee Seung-Hyub, Song Ji-Ho or Seo Hye-won to receive a lot of what korean entertainment industry calls "love calls" aka commercials, dramas and films, among other things.
Experiencing watching Lovely Runner alongside the fandom, waiting every week for a new episode, it's a big part of what made this drama so good. Healthy and good loving fun people, clowning, poking fun at our faves and crying at heartbreak. It's been a long time since I have been able to engage in this way with other fans and I am thankful for them, the cast and crew for all these amazing weeks of fun.

Classic romcom for korean drama fever
It's been a long time since I had a fever like this. It's really a disorder at one point, i was so hyper fixated tell me how to move on from this drama.Initially I just needed a distraction from watching QOT, and therefore I needed a lighthearted show. God was I blown away from all the surprises? The pilot eps were the birth of a masterpiece. I was hooked in the first 10 minutes when Sol and Sunjae exchanged heart wrenching yet hopeful dialogue when he tried to console Sol over the radio. The scene made me bawled so hard it crushed my heart so bad thinking about my beloved idol who passed a few years ago. I kept watching and could relate to the anguish Sol felt when Sunjae made that decision. I stayed thinking I loved the melancholic pieces it offered. (I think i signed up for romcom but okay). But the epilogue on ep 2 - I then knew the drama will be the death of me.
Throughout the journey there were never boring moments with solsunjae. The plot, subplots, fillers all are thoroughly planned, carefully written, beautifully crafted. It stayed to its fantasy romcom core yet you will cry and laugh and root for all the characters. There were never dull scenes, all the scripts and scenes are full of layers of emotions and foreshadowing. Turns and turmoils with sorrow and comedy. Amazing pace with each and every episode. Being a kdrama fan we couldn't help ourselves with theories and interpretations, but the writer was always one step ahead. The writing is so classic kdrama coded but with a quirk twists. It was very refreshing and intriguing. Ultimately the writer understood romcom - she mastered balance between fluffiness and angst while keeping the plot running and ends it well with beautiful closure.
Another credit to the production. Despite no PPLs, it still managed to get 2nd gen idols for cameos, on top of producing an idol group Eclipse, with a list of amazing songs mini album worthy, and heartwrenching OSTs.
Tbh i never bat my eyes on Byeon WooSeok, but Sunjae is the breakthrough character for him. I am so thankful and amazed by the director insight that trusted him with Sunjae. He made Sunjae so colorful. Given it was his first main lead, his determination and sincerity is so well projected as Sunjae, and imo that's the factor that draws people into. His dedication to portray a swimmer, then an idol turned actor, he must have put enormous time and effort - all this sincere hard work turned out so well for Sunjae it's amazing. I hope he continues to become a dependable actor in SK.
I am a fan of Kim HyeYoon since Sky Castle and i had no doubt on her. As someone who closely follows her works, dare i say Imsol might be the most taxing character she ever played. If Sunjae is the epitome of romcom, Imsol is the melo part of the drama. Her guilt, worry, determination, sorrow, pain are very well executed even i as a viewer had a hard time with lingering sorrow, i can't imagine how hard it must be for her. I know she received so many awards but her efforts as Imsol must be recognized professionally. I am such a fan of her work i hope she will get more diverse genre later.
It is such a amazing journey with lovely runner. The saying cure to monday blues is true. I have never hated weekend and waited for monday as enthusiastic as i had in the past two months. Watched it ended is like parting ways with a good friend. I am so grateful I stumbled upon this drama. I wish I could erase it from my memories and watch it again to enjoy the ride all over again. Definitely it will be on my annual rewatch list.

This drama has my heart. It makes the start of my week better which is why I’m sad it is coming to an end. What’s not to love. Everything about this drama is fun and heartwarming. Although there are times we wish something different could happen, I understand the choices made for this film and still support them.
