A História do Contrato de Casamento de Park (2023)

A História do Contrato de Casamento de Park começa muito bem. Comecei a assistir despretensiosamente, sem muitas expectativas e simplesmente me apaixonei. Na primeira metade do drama eu passava a semana ansiosa pelos próximos episódios. Porém, a partir da segunda metade todo o charme do drama acaba sendo um pouco eclipsado pelo plot de mistério e as intenções traiçoeiras do avô do protagonista, da CEO Min e do secretário dela. A partir daí eu já não esperava ansiosa pelo episódios, continuei a ver pelas migalhas das interações entre os protagonistas. Os atores que deram vida a Park Yun Woo e Kang Tae Ha tiveram uma química maravilhosa de assistir, não por acaso eles ganharam o prêmio de fim de ano de melhor casal pela MBC, prêmio merecido.

Mas apesar da química dos protagonistas, a segunda metade do drama foi bem arrastada. O final foi satisfatório. Podemos dizer um "final feliz", contudo não posso deixar de dizer que fiquei com pena do Kang Tae Ha do passado, tadinho. Mesmo tendo sobrevivido a emboscada da madrasta, acabou perdendo o grande amor de sua vida para ele mesmo do futuro rs.

Gostaria que os roteiristas esquecessem essa necessidade de colocar plot de mistério em drama de romance. As vezes só um bom romance é suficiente para cativar a audiência. Mas hoje em dia parece que é obrigatório inserir um mistério, muitas vezes desnecessário, e que acaba deixando a história chata.

O que começou bem mas terminou não tão bem

Confesso que demorei pra assistir esse drama e desde já digo: ele não é ruim. Com certeza tem momentos divertidos, a química do casal principal é boa, os personagens secundários são ótimos e os vilões fazem um bom trabalho.
Dito isto, qual seria então o problema afinal? A questão é que ele não termina tão bem como começa porque os roteiristas se perdem um pouco a partir da metade do drama.
O drama começa muito empolgante. Eu já havia assistido dramas com temática de viagem no tempo da era Jeoson, mas foi minha primeira vez vendo uma mulher ser transportada. O primeiro episódio é simplesmente maravilhoso e os próximos episódios seguem sendo cativantes e interessantes (até mais ou menos metade dos episódios). Infelizmente muitos furos de roteiro começam a surgir. Coisas pras quais não nos dão nenhuma explicação. A personagem da Cheon Myeong (a causa da protagonista ter sido transportada) simplesmente desaparece no fim, nos deixando sem nem uma dica de como foi possível a volta dela pro futuro no final. Também não há uma explicação plausível do porquê a presença da prota é uma ameaça pro coração (literalmente) do seu par. Simplesmente nos jogam a informação de que a presença dela fez ele piorar, e assim que ela volta pro seu tempo ele fica completamente curado. Mas adivinha? Ela volta de novo no final e aparentemente não tem nenhum problema.
Outra coisa é o número de vilões que nos foram jogados. Houve pelo menos 3 trocas de vilões, e na tentativa de nos fazer empatizar com eles, nos foram providenciadas backstories que (pelo menos a da primeira vilã principal) foram boas.
Também não parece que o passado influencia de forma considerável o presente, de forma que algumas coisas pareceram ter sido feitas em vão.
Enfim, chega num ponto que o drama se tornou cansativo e nem o tempo de tela do casal principal segurou o tranco, pelo menos pra mim.
É um drama que começou ótimo mas terminou mediano, com muitos furos e muitas explicações não dadas.

Gostei bastante do drama, principalmente da protagonista Park Yeon! O drama entregou uma protagonista cativante que me fez ficar animada em relação aos episódios seguintes.

Pontos altos:

- Gostei da atriz que fez a protagonista. Acho que ela soube entregar uma personagem cativante, divertida, doce e ao mesmo tempo bem posicionada em relação às próprias vontades. Obviamente isso provavelmente também é mérito da autora da Web novel, mas acho que a atriz soube equilibrar bem essas características

- Personagens secundários legais, mas destaco a relação entre a protagonista e a sua “criada”, Sa Wol. Eu amei assistir a interação das duas durante a primeira parte do drama, e me emocionei demais com o carinho entre elas no final, foi muito bonito ver o amor que elas nutriam uma pela outra.

- Ver a Park Yeon descobrindo o mundo contemporâneo foi o máximo!

- O romance foi muito fofinho, e acho que houve um bom equilíbrio entre o romance e o mistério.

Pontos baixos:

- Acho que talvez isso não tenha sido uma questão para as outras pessoas que assistiram o drama, porém, uma grande questão pra mim: O plot da disputa familiar pela empresa. Juro, não aguento mais esse tempo, principalmente porque ele se infiltra em todos os gêneros possíveis. Acho que teria sido muito mais legal se eles tivessem focado mais na fantasia. Na parte histórica do drama esse plot é até legal, mas na parte moderna é meio chato de acompanhar.

- Não gostei muito do Bae In Hyuk como protagonista. O ator é um fofo, mas na minha opinião, um ator mais veterano teria feito mais sentido para o papel, porque o Bae In ainda aparente ser muito novinho (e ele é mesmo), então ele parecia um adolescente num papel de CEO, e isso ficava mais evidente nas brigas do personagem com o avô, parecia um menino pirracento.

- Esperava mais do figurino! A Park Yeon era uma estilista, e os looks que ela criava na parte histórica do drama eram lindos, por isso fiquei com muita expectativa em relação ao que ela faria no mundo contemporâneo, mas achei tudo bastante básico, como se não tivessem dado a atenção que essa parte merecia. Acho que os figurinistas poderiam ter se empenhado mais.

- O último episódio foi chato, não tem outra palavra pra descrever.

Considerações finais: Eu gostei da maior parte do drama, acho que deixaram a desejar no último episódio. De todo modo, eu gostei da história como um todo e tive uma boa experiência com a maioria dos episódios. Recomendo para quem nunca viu drama histórico, acho que essa é uma boa forma de começar.

Um começo promissor com um final um pouco decepcionante

Achei que ia gostar mais deste drama, até porque o começo dele foi bem legal, os primeiros episódios me deixaram atenta e entretida. Mas pouco tempo depois, senti que alguma coisa não estava certa, não sei se foi a escrita, o roteiro... eu assistia com a sensação de que algo estava faltando.
Tudo parecia fazer sentido, mas acho que faltou um pouco mais de profundidade em certas coisas e 12 episódios foram poucos para isso, acho que esse drama poderia ter 16 episódios tranquilamente. Na vida passada, duas coisas me incomodaram. Primeiro, a forma exagerada e muito triste como o protagonista sofreu, fiquei com o coração pesado vendo ele implorando por atenção da moçinha enquanto ela o tratava com frieza. Ele morreu em seus braços novamente e nem um abraço ela o deu, isso foi cruel, ele não merecia isso, sem contar que era a mesma alma do futuro, do homem que ela se apaixonou, era exatamente ele ali, só que em uma época diferente, então não entendi o porquê fizeram o final dele daquele jeito. Segundo, o avô dele que foi o real cupado por todas as coisas ruins que aconteceram na sua família foi esquecido, a sua madrasta teve um final melancólico, mas e o avô? O que aconteceu com ele depois? Na segunda vida ele perdeu a memória e o Tae Ha perdoou muito rapidamente, o que me deixou chateada e sem entender, afinal, ele foi o grande responsável pela morte da sua mãe, o acontecimento mais traumático da sua vida e o que fez ele desenvolver um grave problema cardíaco, e é aí onde vi outro problema na história. Ele foi curado desse problema cardíaco de uma forma totalmente mal executada, deixando a situação boba demais, muito irrealista e apressada, como se fosse só para dar satisfação aos espectadores, parecia que não souberam como resolver e só jogaram na nossa cara que o amor dele pela Yeon Woo o curou, a explicação foi essa.
E quando a Yeon Woo voltou para a Coreia atual, eu não senti toda a emoção que achava que fosse sentir, muito pela forma como ela tratou o Tae Ha da era Joseon e também pelo fato de não terem mostrado em detalhes essa volta dela, por exemplo, a sua amiga tão leal que sentiu bastante a ida dela, poderia ter aparecido nas cenas finais se reencontrando a Yeon Woo, eles deveriam ter mostrado isso, já que elas eram praticamente irmãs e tinham uma conexão tão bonita. Outra coisa, a Yeon Woo desenvolveu mais a fundo o seu sonho de ser uma modista renomada na Coreia atual, ela fez um trabalho muito bonito, suas roupas eram simplesmente maravilhosas, mas isso também foi mal explorado justamente por causa dos poucos episódios que tinham, eu queria ter visto um pouco mais desse lado artístico dela, uma pena que durou pouco.
E no mais, a química dos protagonistas foi notável, eles formaram um casal lindo. Os personagens secundários foram bons também, gostei da maioria deles. Fiquei confusa com a personalidade do avô do Tae Ha na Coreia atual e as motivações e atitudes dele não fizeram muito sentido pra mim, então o personagem dele foi o que menos gostei.
Não sei se indicaria esse drama, gostei de acompanhá-lo mas não acho que seja bom o suficiente.

Lovely leads and a decent story brought down to the ground by holes and cringe

This drama starts off all fun perfectly balanced between the cold, warm, the tight slightly wet buttoned downed shirts and dimples for as far at the eye can see... The male lead who had had heart surgery actually had a scar..

The over top potential pot holes where kept to minimum and the "oh my god I am in the future" potential over the top low humour was kept to a minimum. The Product placement was top of the top!

The leads out of this world with great chemistry and an amazing use of flowers and butterflies everywhere... The side character are lovable too, the evil is evil and there is this nice mist of know who the real enemy is all over the ground...

But then came the cringy monologs, the twists that just stoped making sense in the context and the lovely scar from the heart surgery was found to be lacking as they either placed a pace maker either from the wrong entrance or it magically grew there... And well in this drama there was indeed a whole lot of magic but creating cyborgs just was not really part of it... The lovely wet shirts got covered up more and more with not so good looking suits (still ok, just not as good)... The evil villains started to get these meeeh back stories that kind of killed the mood.

So the score that was way up there started to go down, down,... and almost hit a 7 before it went back up to an 8.

So what can I say, this is a sweet easy binge with great leads and just a little to much cringe for it to be a great watch

Started out strong, ended up being BAD!

I have loved the first 6 episodes and every week I used to rave about this drama and how nearly perfect it was and then, what happens in drama land happened. The curse of the second half, where a perfectly good drama just takes a nose dive and end up ruining all the set up it had worked so hard initially to charm and engage the drama viewer flying out of the window.

To begin with the sweet grandpa turning to be a mid villain or how his character took a 180 turn for me was one instance but then as it continued the drama couldn't explain the loophole of how the same Kang Tae Ha in the past and present is one with all the characteristics but couldn't be a reincarnation but different people at the same time! Huh? Like, if Yeon Woo could time travel and be in the modern world, why couldn't Tae Ha be an reincarnation of himself but two different identity and why did the Joseon Tae Ha have to suffer and see his wife fall for someone else, (more like his future self) but not him. How was that fair? How did it make sense? I mean do I make sense? Why couldn't it had been the same person with the same memories and just have lived in both worlds?

I hated the ending. I hated how past Tae Ha just died not knowing why his wife suddenly was with in love with someone who looked like him but not him but him and on and on...grr

This drama was just confusing with confusing characters with loophole like land mines every corner with no escape. The chemistry between the leads was amazing and I swooned in the initial episodes at how great they were together and also the secondary characters were worth the screen time they got. This drama had all the ingredients but then the second half just had to go and blow it all up.

I wish the writer took some time to flourish out the ideas and explained more about the connection of the past and present world and its inhabitants.

I would recommend the first 6 episodes since it was just too sweet and cute. The rest? Naaa...

Fun and silly ride with a few potholes that make it bumpy

The first half of this drama I really enjoyed. It was light and silly and the strong willed Yeon Woo was fun to watch. Sa Wol was one of the best characters in the show. She was so funny and lightened every scene she was in but also carried her loyalty and wisdom well.

Overall and nice watch to pass the time. But there are some things about this show that I found reduced the rating for me. First was the future Tae Ha's unbelievable jerk behavior when they first meet. I know that is a trope of the overbearing boss kind but it bothered me here. When he finally lightens up and starts to accept the situation he does become more likeable. Next is how quickly the women adjusted to the changes. It did not feel realistic with how fast they changed the way they dress and act in a time that was so dramatically different than what they lived in. And finally, is the love story. While it was fun to watch them bicker and find their way to each other then the love story gets a little boring. It almost felt like filler to watch them after that and while I love romance I thought that time could have been cut out for me and just moved on with the plot.

Slight spoiler here so be warned but I also could not stand the ending for the Old Joseon Tae Ha. I was annoyed the whole time I was watching it as the character did not deserve it.

Overall the music is quite nice, the production was done well from sets to costumes, and the parts were acted well. A good way to pass the time but I could also recommend several other shows I would find better than this as well.

Love it or Hate it

I feel like this is one of those dramas you either love or hate. On one hand, I found it entertaining. On the other hand, the plot was full of holes. It's a fish out of water story that involves a Joseon girl time traveling to modern day Korea. Unlike most leads in a fish out of water plot, FL is a quick study and adapts to modern life very quickly to the point that it's kind of unrealistic (but so is time travel so who am I to say anything). I found this drama to be mediocre, especially with the business succession part of the drama. However, I loved the cast, especially the lead actress (Lee Se Young). The main couple was also very cute together, but how they meet and fall in love is a bit cliché. The outfits were one of my favorite things about this drama. FL's outfits were simply gorgeous. I also loved the dorky secondary couple who acted as comedic relief. The last few episodes were a bit draggy which lowered my rating a bit. It's not a bad watch and even entertaining if you shut your brain off and enjoy the show. They even throw in a few good twists. Don't ask me how or if they make sense. I personally was satisfied with the ending, although I know a lot of people were disappointed. They certainly leave a lot of loose ends.

The ending felt weird even though it was concluded well

WAW, this is the first kdrama that I have finished for the new year of 2024. I really liked keeping up with this series and I didn't even realize that today would be the last episode. I feel like the story was good. It was captivating, enchanting. And I guess even though, the ending is loved by others and that it seemed complete.

I just feel like it went kinda flat for me to say the least. I guess this is the happy ending that everyone wanted. But I never realized how bad it has ended for the Joseon Tae Ha. He is literally the second male lead with a painful ending to say the least. I guess maybe I feel a lot of pity for how his story ended. But I guess that is the sacrifice that is needed so that our leads can have that happy ending that they deserve.

On a more positive note, the casts were amazing. I loved every single bits of the "villains", side couples, and our leads. The mixture of comedy, romance, and fantasy were pretty well done. I do feel like 13/14 episodes would have been better to explain certain chunks of the plots. As some felt, really fast-paced that, it almost felt like the story was jumping in a jagged way.

Annoying, clichéd, waste of time

This drama started out with such great expectations. Especially the nice looking lead pair.
But every episode went downhill after that.

Seriously - they couldn't decide who would be the evil villain - the step mother or grand father.
The evil stepmother's heart of stone voila turns to gold somewhere in some random episode for some irrational reason.
The grandfather couldn't decide if he wanted to be evil or greedy or a smart ceo. Thankfully he loses his memory along the way and spares us his confusion.

The time transfer between Joseon to Seoul is like traveling on a rattling bullock cart - you don't know which part of your intestine got twisted and jostled on the rough journey.

And the most cringey part was this plastic branch with a few flowers that the FL keeps carrying around waiting for the flowers to wilt and the ML to die.

Messy, shabby, poorly scripted.

The positives:
Beautiful outfits created for the fashion house. The runway outfits were fabulous.
Beautiful embroidery.
