It Was Okay
So, this one took me a while to finish. I actually watched the first episode when it was initially released, but something about it didn't make me feel like 'Oh, I am looking forward to the next episode'.I think off the bat what I was underwhelmed with was the introductions of not only the new generation, but the reintroduction of the Suparburoot Jutathep (SJ) characters especially the couples and great grandma. This was probably what I was most looking forward to the most before the series started - how they were going to show off each parents' personalities and how maybe their kids are the same or not. But the SJ characters don't seem like their originals and I get that they are all now older and parents, but being a big fan of the original, it was a shame that it wasn't really shown much. It got a little better as the episodes went on, but still it was just okay.
And that also goes for the new generation, especially the sons. There wasn't anything special about their introductions or even to show what their personalities are. I was surprised that them just being in a room together was everyone's intros...again, I can't help but compare to the SJ series and how strong of an introduction it was for each brother and each of their future wives. Chat ended up being a breath of fresh air when he popped into the last few episodes, but at first I wasn't even excited about that, lol. Cause again we weren't really introduced to these characters well enough imo.
The main couple was again okay for me. I don't think they had romantic chemistry, but their scenes together weren't terrible either. But that really can't be helped when the FL is written to barely think about the ML especially in a romantic sense. Yes, romance isn't a big part of this one, but because of it being rare, that's when there should be moments of it where it should just then spark! But that doesn't happen here. And at the end of the day, this series is mainly about how the couples start and end their journeys. So, it should be an important factor.
The main story didn't really keep my attention. And man was that a really big loop to make the connection of how Laorchan is Thewaphrom. But the last couple of episodes were probably the best overall for me, those I did enjoy a lot more. I think I would only rewatch certain scenes rather than whole episodes. And the acting was good, nothing terrible.
I know a lot of people thought the first series in SJ wasn't the best, but it's honestly one of my favorites, lol. I think it's mainly cause of Great and Preem for me, I really liked their chemistry. So, this being the start so far is a little disappointing. But it looks to be picking up so, onto the next!

1st story of set of 5 stories... The journey to find the truth
Never read the novel so no expectations but was eagerly waited to see GulfKanawut's performance after the success of Bua Phun Fan Yap. It's about the journey of Laorchan to find the truth about her family and her boss Khun Phu who truly and sincerely loves her.The betrayal of Laorchans best friend but the most impressive was the acting of Gulfkanawut especially in EP7 and so on, his tears was real and the bonding and the warmth of the family.. I love that family so much .. At times Gulfkanawut as Khun Phu's character bring tears in viewers eyes too.. His eyes express all his emotions and brings out the best of him... and it tells his stories . If you expect romance and kissing in the lakorn, im sorry, its very limited... The script and editing could have been better. At the end the cast did their job amazingly especially Gulfkanawut...Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Let's be honest, it's mid.
Story:Starting with the story, it's all over the place. I felt like I was watching 3 different shows. The first part is when Laor is trying to steal the gemstone. This part was fine. It was nothing special. The classic one person fools the other to get what they want and then they fall in love, etc. I was ok with this part of the story. It was a bit boring though. The second part is when they're in the forest trying to find the temple. What was the point of this part?! Why the hell was it so long?! I get that they were trying to repair the relationship between Laor and Phu, but it was way too long for its own good. It was so boring that I skipped most of it. The climax felt rushed and didn't live up to all the tension that was built. The last part was finding out how Laor is related to the Devaphrom. I know why they did it. They had to make her related to the Dhevaphroms somehow, but it was highly convoluted and unnecessary.
Acting:
It was ok. The main leads had no chemistry, however. They did not make me believe they were in love with each other. I was more convinced that Laor was in love with Sun than Phu. Gulf was holding up the emotions betweenthe couple for me. All Gina gave me was blank stares and no emotion, but I did like the scenes where she was grieving for Sun. That was the only time I felt her emotions. I liked the supporting cast's acting much better. Orm(Kanthika), Peterpan(Sun), Smith(Satarassamee), and even Artz(Nutjari) were much more believable in their acting than the main cast. Kanthika probably being my favorite among all the characters because she just seemed so natural in her role.
Music:
I liked the music. I wouldn't listen to it outside of the show, but it went with the atmosphere and theme of the show. The prequel's opening was much better though.
Rewatch:
No, thank you. I'd rather watch their parents' love story.
Overall:
Mid.

A drama full of flavours
It's a mixed of romance and mistery. But the main topic of the whole drama is actually about the family life of the royal descendants. Watching this drama, you will be taken to an adventure finding the truth about the main character's identity. Along the way you will find there are love (romance love, love for family and love for friends) betrayal and tears, horror, cultural beliefs including myth and mythical creature, but you will also laugh for the comedy they insert. It's really fun to watch.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

#KhunPhu
I never thought i will be invested with the character of Khun Phu. The love story is very slow, yes; but the acting of the casts were superb. Gulf playing Khun Phu nailed the emotions, facial expression and body movements of the character. His fighting scenes can be lined up to those hollywood fast pace action movies.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
One of the best thai colosal drama
Laorchan is a whole package, the drama has many genre in their story: mistery, fantasy, comedy, action, and a little bit romantic, but for me the best part of this drama are the family scenes & the action scenes ❤️ Laorchan is a whole package, the drama has many genre in their story: mistery, fantasy, comedy, action, and a little bit romantic, but for me the best part of this drama are the family scenes & the action scenes ❤️Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I have watched the prequels, but I didn’t enjoy this sequel as much as I enjoyed the prequels. Gulf needs to work on his acting skills a bit more. When Bomb, Great, Pope, James Ji, and James Ma filmed the Khun Chai Series, they were already experienced actors.
I still don’t understand why they replaced Bomb, Great, Pope, James Ji, and James Ma, who were their fathers, with other actors. Surely, with SFX, they could have aged them.
I didn’t feel much chemistry between Gina and Gulf.
I patiently watched the lakorn without dropping it. As the story progressed, it got better.
I have a lot of questions. What happened to Sun after he was hospitalized? How did they find out that Laor is a Dhevaprom?
The Temple series was way too long. We don’t get to see the main couple getting married, just a proposal, that’s it.
I don’t think this has rewatch value. I much prefer rewatching the prequels.
I can see that there are just positive messages from fangirls, just like we used to see in idol Kdramas.

This was good, but not the best
The first episode caught my attention to watch it, until the half way of the drama where i found it too hard to understand and confusing (because of thai ppl names and beliefs). However, when their real journey began, it was really interesting.Phu and Laor had not really have good chemistry but Gulf and Gina's acting were both good. I prefer the side couple between Prince Sat and Veena because their chemistry were really good. I can feel their affection and love were both pure.
For the plot, it is interesting enough especially the climax during ep 11-14. However, I feel something off. Perhaps they should make it more suspense or unpredictable when they solve the puzzles that lead them to where they should begin their journey. Talking about the plot twist, some is unpredictable but some is predictable. The urge for me to know who is the real betrayer was killing me.
I suggest you guys to refer Dhevaprom's and Juthatep's family trees first to avoid confusion. Overall, it is a worth to watch but I believe there are some parts to be improved.

FUN BECAUSE OF CHAT
I eager to watch this was because I met Gulf (phuthanet juthathep) in real life before he was famous. I was like who is this guy so handsome and I search for him until I saw his google image and after 2 weeks he act in Tharn Type. Whatever it is I never thot he act really good.I'm just gonna say that the hero and heroin still okay they quite suits each other. The storyline is okay but, why this drama is a bit fun is because CHAT the hero of Kwanreutai has a lot of scene here. And he is super funny in this drama i will skip just to watch chat scene and Phu.
Gulf is so cool when he try to pull Laocharn when they slide in the forest.
Let's make it short, eventhough this drama plot is ridiculous, the second couple romance is cute and Chat steal this show. This drama is like treasure hunting drama. Was going to watch a bit romance peaceful conflict a little bit drama. But sigh too much treasure hunting. the romance not so much. Only Phu is trying to flirt with Laorchan but the romance between this two not really good.
Btw, Gina is pretty but she is too matured to act with Gulf babyface. She should act with actor who is kind of more adult. I don't really fond of her and Gulf in this. The chemistry only can be seen abit.

Not the best but not the worst
I came into this universe accidently and decided to checkout all the parts. Basically this show is part of the Juthathep brothers universe. A story of 5 brothers finding lover everywhere except there arranged marriage partners (5 parts released in 2013 one for each brother) and now the same universe is extended with the sons of these brother being the main leads. And while I have read only good reviews about the older series I decided to start with these new ones and in the order they are made starting with Laorchan first. As the first introduction to the universe, it is not bad. And since I read that it gets better in latter parts, I decided to stick around. It is quite watchable even without knowing about the whole parent's lore but I guess you do miss out of some references and callbacks.
Story: As a single standing series the story of the show was pretty engaging. The whole rebellion plot and the arc of the off road adventure was enjoyable and I looked forward to see the conclusion. The base of the story is a classic one lead trying to deceive the other for personal reasons but accidently falling in love and its done nicely. Although towards the end the arc of the FL trying to do something for her family/find her family became a bit redundant. Some of the side characters had pretty nice arcs - like the crown prince learning about the condition of the people in the countryside.
Acting and chemistry: I think all the actors did a pretty good job. It was not exceptional but they did well with the material they were provided. They delivered their emotions well (Gulf in episode 7). In terms of chemistry, I felt that the main leads did not have a lot of chemistry however that was more due to the script than the actors. The FL was getting close to the ML for her personal agenda but the ML just fell head over heels for her and we are supposed to believe that even though the FL means business, she cant help but feel something for the ML. However, the FL had this 'game face on' throughout the first half of the show (when they are actually supposed to get close/build a relationship). She always showed more emotions for the SML. This made it difficult to believe that the leads had this 'deep' connection that they would follow each other to the ends of the world. I wish we could have seen some moments where she was doubting the whole plan just because she didn't want the ML to feel hurt. Other than that, the two side couples were absolutely adorable, to the point that I want to see more of their stories. Colonel Wachira being an absolute golden retriever in Kan's presence was the cutest.
The setting and cinematography: The show seems to be set somewhere in the late 80s and the setting does feel retro but it doesn't hit you with that nostalgic feels. If I pick a random frame from anywhere in the show, I would not be able to immediately guess where it is set. While it doesn't feel too much out of place, I believe some more work of the set would have made the show much better.
Overall: While it is not a masterpiece, you would not regret wasting your time on this show. It lacks on many fronts but the endearing family connections make up for some of it.
