both are romantic historical dramas which emphasize a love triangle between a simple woman, the king of the country and the woman's childhood friend/ the king's brother . Also, a thing which I found very similar was the fact that both stories begin with a childhood sequence of the main characters ^^

Both dramas revolve around pottery/ceramics and the potters behind the craft. Whereas Goddess of Fire is more like a lighthearted romcom about the Royal Workshop and the first female ceramist of Korea, The River Children would offer you a more grounded and slice-of-life approach to the commoners who were pioneers of the craft in the Republican China and the struggles they faced (plus with some family drama haha).
Really, the two are QUITE different, but if you are interested in checking out dramas about this craft, do check both of them out.

They are both very similar.
The main actress in both is Moon Geun Young and she disguises herself as a boy in both.
They are both historical drama's and focus on crafts.
The Painter of the Wind is about a painter and Goddess Of Fire, Jeongi is about a potter.

both have really strong female leads who have ambition and a desire to achieve something. They also both seek revenge and both dramas have a similar feel to it.

Both have really strong female leads who have had a difficult past and hunger for vengeance. Also, they both pretend to be a man at some point in the drama.

Both historical dramas that are 50 episodes, and take place during the same time period of Gwanghae's life.
Each are a different story of what goes on, but they have similar characters.
