7 anos de amor? Tem certeza? acho que o melhor ponto dessa temporada foi ter acabado, foi extremamente arrastada, foi bem cansativa, foi bem difícil de se assistir, o que prendia na primeira temporada foi perdido nessa aqui, esse ''alivio cômico'' do No se tornou extremamente cansativo e super foge da ideia da historia original, os problemas dessa temporada são tão imbecis que acompanhar foi um perda de tempo, passei um bom tempo tentando fazer uma critica boa e apontar alguns pontos bons mas eu só consegui achar dois, que são o Cir e o Léo, porém ambos os ukes deles foram péssimos e infantis ao extremo, tanto o bom quanto o ruim. De que adianta uma boa produção se vai desperdiçar a historia dessa maneira? Um dos bons momentos da temporada é que para nós estrangeiros podemos ver como é alguns rituais da Tailândia e só. Esperava muito que fossem ser mais maduros mas quando você para pra analisar eles passaram 10 episódios só sendo extremamente infantis, a desconfiança do Tharn, esse ego que precisa ser massageado do Type, o Tharn basicamente forçando o Type se casar com ele, ai foi uma bagunça. O ponto principal do que eu quero falar é que essa temporada poderia ser uma temporada focada mais em como eles levam a vida de adulto e o relacionamento entre si, em alguns momentos você pode ver a química deles mas boa parte da temporada foi só mais e mais problemas. Tenho certeza que essa temporada não é para todos, vi algumas pessoas reclamando, até as que só viram a primeira temporada, mas ao meu ver essa é a melhor, nem sempre todos vão gostar de algo cotidiano. Sim, eles e seu relacionamento estão mais maduros, claro se passaram sete anos, se nada mudasse era sinal que não eram para ficar juntos em um relacionamento tóxico. Aliás, essa era a maior reclamação da primeira temporada.
Tanto Tharn como Type me surpreenderam, por incrível que pareça Type está mais maduro e paciente, antes ele bateria no outro sempre que aparecesse um problema, Tharn mais manhoso, mal-humorado, possessivo, entende? Aqui eles mostram mais lados que nem sempre são belos e até alguns que são. Vi que muitos não entenderam que não importa o tempo eles ainda serão Tharn e Type, ainda terão muitos anos para evoluir, eu particularmente achei bem humano, como podemos nos mudar totalmente em apenas sete anos? Há pessoas que passam a vida toda e não mudam.
Realmente quero elogiar a atuação de Gulf, dava para ver seus olhos mudando de cansado para irritado e finalmente raiva, New também, com os sinais de como o trabalho prejudicava Type e todas suas relações com Tharn, amigos e família. A química de Mew e Gulf é inegável, às vezes me senti até tímida com as cenas deles e os olhares, não estou falando apenas das quentes, também das amorosas.
Sobre o Fiat garoto interessante, não consegui sentir raiva, apenas irritação, mas me peguei chorando junto com ele muitas vezes, em primeiro momento parecia um personagem bobo tinha apenas o propósito de separar os principais, mas com tempo percebi que não, ele é tão machucado e vazio que aceita qualquer resquício de amor, mesmo que apenas por uma noite para se agarrar. Porque sente que o único que está por ele não aceitará o que sente, então o machuca de propósito. Aliás, o ator atuou muito bem. Vejo isso tudo como positivo, no novel ele era bem raso, sem contar que seu castigo foi mais leve aqui, confesso que nisso o Type me decepcionou na novel, mas é aquilo, ele não é perfeito, por isso é um personagem interessante e profundo.
A meu ver, Leo foi criado para o drama, no novel um tal amigo é citado, mas este só quer levar o Fiat para cama, um canalha. Já Leo é muito compreensivo, até demais, porém sua criação é outro ponto positivo.
Na verdade muitas cenas foram modificadas até personagens, o que não é ruim, mas confesso que uma ou outra queria que tivesse permanecido. Por exemplo, mesmo com a mudança realmente fiquei esperando o namorado do Techno aparecer.
Uma coisa que amei foi que nunca tinha visto nenhuma cerimônia monge, foi interessante e muito bonito.
Particularmente amei o final com sensação de que a vida para eles continua e há muito para crescer.

Um BL onde a melhor parte está fora dele.
Depois de uma 1º temporada de começo bastante difícil de assistir porém com um bom final, temos uma 2º temporada fazendo o caminho inverso, um bom começo e um final difícil.Type amadureceu muito em todos os pontos, inclusive foi o personagem que sustentou a série inteira. A melhor parte da série para mim foi a relação de trabalho dele, o quanto isso estava acabando com ele e a maneira como isso foi abordado. Suas relações de amizades também foram muito bem construídas, além da relação dele com sua família e a família do Tharn. Mesmo sua preocupação motivadora para a recusa em se casar é bastante válida e eu confesso que gostaria muito que a série abordasse melhor essa questão do preconceito, porém sabemos que a produção nem teria permissão para isso e de uma forma sutil a crítica aos preconceitos da comunidade na Tailândia foi posta.
Quanto ao Tharn, cara ele não evoluiu muito. O personagem dele ainda é bem estereotipado do homem que quer cuidar da "esposa", que fala que vai sustentar, proteger e blá blá blá. Porém ele permanece sendo fofo em algumas ações também.
As famílias dos personagens também são muito bem colocadas na série, o pai do Type é engraçadíssimo e a sua não aceitação da escolha do filho, que é uma questão pesada, é colocada de maneira cômica e leve. Está presente porém não é dramatizado.
Já o outro alívio cômico, Techno, está muuuuuuito mais forçado nessa temporada, o que fez que seu tempo de tela não fosse tão bom quanto na temporada anterior, a maneira como ele interage com o Type não condiz mais com a nova personalidade mais amadurecida de ambos o que tornou um pouco tosco e pastelão as tentativas de humor que ele trazia.
Outro ponto massa dessa temporada foi o relacionamento de Champ e Doc, muito fofo, muito lindo, muito bem construído. Foi muito gostoso assistir os dois interagindo.
Agora vamos aos elefantes da sala, meo deos do céu o que foi esse casal Phugun e Cir, que casal chato, eu fico pensando que se são meus amigos eu me sentiria absurdamente desconfortável perto dos dois. O cara com 20 e tantos anos se comportando igual uma criança de 12, eu achei que essa tara na imagem kwaii de pessoas infantilizadas era só do Japão, mas pelo jeito não. Cara, que péssimo, a pedofilia grita nisso aí. E eu nem preciso falar da relação extremamente possessiva que eles têm.
E vamos fechar com o pior da série, Fiat. Personagem horrível, chato, confuso, sem sentido. O cara quer a todo custo ter um namorado e vê em todo mundo um possível pretendente, MENOS no cara que literalmente dorme abraçado com ele todos os dias. É preciso falar também da horripilante atuação do ator que faz esse personagem. Os choros dele chegavam a ser constrangedores, cai mais lágrima do meu olho quando eu corto uma cebola do que esse boy atuando. Olha francamente a atuação digna de produção mutantes da Record.
Concluindo, vale a pena assistir para quem já viu a primeira temporada e quer terminar a história, porém essa temporada não me deu nenhuma vontade de assistir sua "sequência" don't say no, misericordia assistir uma temporada onde Fiat será o protagonista, só pode ser dívida de jogo se meter numa dessa.
Ps: Muito legal ver o ordenamento do Type, para ver um ato da cultura da religião deles, sempre bastante válido. Interessante que a série me evidencia bem a questão Norte desenvolvida e Sul subdesenvolvida do país, eu que sou professor de geografia fiquei fascinado com as paisagens e elementos regionais mostrados.

THARN E TYPE SÃO O MAIOR CASAL DO MUNDO
Essa é a continuação perfeito para uma série perfeita.Os anos passaram, ambos amadureceram mas a essência do relacionamento continua lá.
O jeito esquentadinho do Type ainda existe mas ele está aprendendo a lidar com isso no mundo real, tendo que se adaptar a um emprego abusivo e tentando fazer seu relacionamento funcionar mesmo com todas as suas limitação com relação ao casamento, porque é sobre isso que essa série é, o porquê deles ainda não terem se casado depois de 7 anos anos juntos.
Tharn continua extremamente apaixonado mas está um pouco inseguro com o rumo da relação, o Type não conta para ninguém que eles estão juntos, ele não quer se casar e no final acontece uma coisa que é o ápice de toda essa situação acumulada. Cada um tem seus motivos e juntos eles fazem o relacionamento funcionar mais uma vez (eles são perfeitos).
Meu único problema com esse drama na primeira temporada era o elenco de apoio que era fraco e que por culpa deles o relacionamento de Thar e Type foi afetado em algumas situações desgastantes, mas aqui está muito mais polido mantendo apenas uma parte do elenco original.
Você poderia me dar 15 temporadas de TharType que eu assistiria com o maior sorriso do mundo no rosto.

Amor agridoce
Vamos lá, TharnType sempre me irritou profundamente pela psicologia toda ferrada, pela história clichê e pelo relacionamento do casal principal sempre me parecer meio tóxico, PORÉM a química e as cenas hot não são brincadeira, então acaba tendo um equilíbrio, mesmo que eu me sinta meio problemático com essa conclusão.Assim como na primeira temporada, TharnType 2 tem uma história bobinha, com ciúmes boninho e demonstrações de afeto fofinhas. A única diferença foi que, na primeira temporada, a treta que acontece do meio pro final é beeeem tensa, já em Seven Years Of Love tudo é simplesmente ridículo demais, desnecessário demais e eu não consegui parar de reclamar durante os 12 episódios.
Outra coisa bem marcante em TharnType é a intensidade. Seja nas cenas hot (que, sinceramente, são a melhor parte do drama, e eu nem gosto muito de pegação, mas tenho que reconhecer a química MewGulf), seja nos ciúmes do Type, ou até no olhar do Tharn quando ele deixa o conceito "cachorrinho perdido" de lado e mostra a versão comedor de casadas dele (risos aqui, por mais que eu esteja tentando ser sério rs). Certo, intensidade é ótimo e a gente gosta, é incrível quando os atores se dedicam e realmente parecem estar vivendo o personagem, eu não venho aqui para culpar MewGulf, muito pelo contrário, eu só acho que a construção dos personagens (PRINCIPELMENTE o Type) é uma merda.
Vamos em partes:
THARN: Certo, husband material, faz tudo pelo Type, é uma fofurinha e super sacia o fogo de todo mundo que assiste, mas sério, se fosse qualquer um no lugar dele sendo tratado como o Type trata - se fosse uma MULHER no lugar dele - será que alguém perceberia quão desnessesariamente agressíva são as reações do Type? E o Tharn não faz nada? Mesmo quando ele se magoa de verdade, é só o Type abaixar o tom de voz um pouquinho que parece que tudo tá certo de novo. Pra um homem formado como ele, responsável e independente, eu esperava um pouco mais de conciência e amor próprio. Tharn simplesmente tá no drama pra mimar e ser pisado pelo Type.
TYPE: A gente sabe que o conceito tsundere é bem popular, porém meio problemático. Tá, muitas coisas podem se enquadrar nessa descrição, mas o Type simplesmente passa de todos os limites possíveis. Ele foi meu maior motivo de reclamações durante a primeira temporada, com toda aquela grosseria desnecessaria, mesmo que """justificada""" pelo trauma, nunca me convenceu como algo realista. Eu esperava uma evolução nessa temporada, esperava que depois de "sete anos de amor" ele tivesse amadurecido pelo menos um pouquinho, mas a vingancinha dele no final dessa temporada só comprova que vão demorar ainda uns quarenta anos de amor pra ele ter o mínimo de noção.
FIAT: Eu não achei que seria possível um personagem me irritar mais do que o Type me irrita, mas Fiat o consegue superar ele. Fiat é mesquinho, mimado e mente fechada. Ele passa a temporada toda fingindo que é o único certo em toda a história, que ninguém mais entende os motivos dele e ainda fica culpando o Leo no final? Querida, se toca, a culpa nos teus sentimentos é totalmente tua, não dos outros!
LEO: Anjinho, né. Um dos mais sensatos, por mais que não saiba se comunicar e isso trava a história toda. Inclusive detesto esse clichê de falta de comunicação, mas eu me recuso a culpar o Leo por alguma coisa sendo que já tem tanta gente no drama ativa e concientemente fazendo merda, Leo só não sabe onde ele tá mesmo.
CHAMP: Definitivamente não esperava por um couple pra ele, foi uma surpresa feliz no meio de tanta desavença. Tá, o problema do Champ é ser lerdo, eu entendo, mas ele simplesmente parecia não pensar! Dr. Kunphol tava lá babando por ele durande 120% das cenas e o Champ sempre parecia fingir que não via nada. É válido ser lerdo, mas eu senti que forçou um pouco a barra.
KUNPHOL: Shy boy detected. Super me identifiquei com ele, eu reagiria de mesma forma se me apaixonasse por alguém como o Champ. Dr. Kunphol tava sempre arranjando uma desculpa pra estar perto do Champ e estava confortável com a ideia da amizade, por mais que isso incomodasse ele lá no fundo. Felizmente no final ele tomou vergonha na cara pra fazer as coisas acontecerem, porque se fosse pelo Champ não teria conclusão essa história. Mas, de novo, achei meio enrolado, meio lento.
PHUGUN: Uma bonequinha delicada, meu Budha, como esse menino é adorável! As aparições dele serviam mais pra dar um alivio no coração porque o sorriso dele é a coisinha mais linda do mundo e pra ajudar TharnType de vez em quando. Sem reclamações pro Gun, esse sim é um homem que faz sua vida acontecer, mesmo se for só pra pedir carinho pro namorado.
CIRRUS: Ah, o conceito sério porém apaixonado. Gosto, não vou negar. Não pude analisar tanto o P'Cirrus porque ele aparecia mais como "namorado do Gun", mas a presença dele era bem protetora de um jeito fofo, por mais que eu não goste dessa "romantização do ciúme" que os asiáticos insistem em manter.
TECHNO: A REAL RAZÃO DE EU TER ASSISTIDO ATÉ O FIM. Sim, eu sou apaixonada pelo P'No do Mild, ele é simplesmente amorzinho demais. Fiquei meio dececionada que a produção não incluiu o Mark pra fazer par como Kengkla, mesmo que o No viva soltando que ele tem namorado no decorrer da temporada. E eu sei que o papel dele é só de alívio cômico e que algumas pessoas acharam exagerado demais, mas nada pode mudar minha admiração pelo P'No, eu simplesmente gosto muito do jeitinho dele. Em A Chance To Love ele me irrita um pouquinho por ficar fugindo do Kengkla o tempo todo, mas eu sinto que em TharnType o Mild dá um gostinho de quero mais toda vez que o No aparece.
Certo, eu definitivamente não assistiria de novo, primeiro por ser muito longo e segundo porque me irrito demais. Mas, estranhamente, eu gostei muito de assistir essa segunda temporada. TharnType me dá aquela sensação de rancinho e admiração bem equilibradas, é um sentimento BOM assistir e reclamar ao mesmo tempo (mais contraditório que isso só o psicológico do Type, sim) e foi por isso que eu vi até o final.
Apesar de tudo, eu super recomendo TharnType. A história é clichê, mas isso não é um ponto negativo. A química dos personagem principais é INCRÍVEL, a conexão que você sente enquanto assiste é bem forte também. E um bônus pra essa segunda temporada é que eles mostram um pouco da cultura religiosa tailandesa. Se você é como eu e adora ver roupas tradicionais, templos e esse tipo de coisa, esse drama descreve isso de forma bem clara e fácil de entender.

Completamente passável
Depois de tanta coisa errada abordada na temporada anterior, eu posso dizer, com grande alívio, que essa aqui é praticamente uma benção.Em Tharntype 2: 7 anos de amor, vemos os personagens ligeiramente mais evoluídos e maduros, sobretudo o Type, e um desenvolvimento um pouco menos tóxico do casal. Claro, a falta de diálogo entre eles predominou por muito tempo, assim como a falta de confiança, contudo, se comparada à toxicidade da anterior, isso aqui é o mais próximo de um relacionamento aceitável.
Tharn continuou sendo "o homem irrepreensível" por assim dizer, não houve mudanças muito substanciais em relação à personalidade dele. O que, sinceramente, não trouxe nada de novo à tona. Techno sempre muito carismático, animando a série, apesar de eu ter tido a impressão de que seu humor cômico aqui foi mais forçado. Os osts não foram tão bons quanto a da primeira temporada, mas ainda assim belíssimos.
Em relação aos casais secundários, sinceramente eu não apreciei muito. Eu não costumo gostar de casais secundários em nenhum bl, com exceção de Kinnporsche, por motivos difíceis de explicar agora.
O relacionamento de Cir e Phu, se vista sob uma ótica menos disfarçada e cor-de-rosa, é assustador. A possessão do primeiro é terrível enquanto o outro é um personagem completamente infantilizado. Acho bizarro terem fetiche nisso. Parece uma criança. Na verdade é até ofensivo, as crianças de hoje em dia passam longe de ser como o Phu. Além de serem dois personagens chatos para car@lho.
Leo e Fiat eram outro problema. Eu até os compreendi um pouco, mesmo assim as mancadas do Fiat eram difíceis de engolir. Leo era muito resignado e não fazia nada. Fiat passou 90% da série chorando — devo ressaltar que o choro daquele ator era bem forçado. Esse casal não me prendeu nem um pouco.
Champ e doutor foram de longe os melhores. Porém, Champ, apesar de um bom personagem, era lerdo como uma lesma. Sem contar que eu esperava um beijo deles, no mínimo um selinho.
Sobre os personagens secundários — os pais do Type continuam muito engraçados, a família do Tharn é maravilhosa. Leo era absurdamente bonito e Fiat... Eu não o amei, tampouco o odiei. Mais uma vez, jogaram os problemas dos protagonistas nas costas de um personagem secundário, assim como aconteceu com o Lhong na anterior. Não formei uma opinião completa sobre ele pois não assisti Don't say no, mas pretendo.
Alguns episódios eram entediantes, gigantescos, arrastados. Demorei pacas para assistir. O enredo ficou bem chato na minha opinião. Aconteceu exatamente o que eu previra; com a retirada do trauma do Type e dos assuntos problemáticos, Tharntype se tornou um BL bobinho, com personagens medíocres e sem nada inovador.
Achei estranho o fato de Type não ter mais mencionado o "trauma banalizado", mas não reclamo, acreditem.
Resumindo, temporada passável, casamento de arrancar lágrimas — apesar de todos os problemas, eu gosto deles —, e, cara, Mewgulf é outro nível. Mesmo sem a quantidade de pegação que teve na primeira temporada, eles conseguiram ter ainda mais química nessa. É surreal. Estou vivendo apenas para vê-los contracenarem novamente, de preferência, em uma história que não seja da MAME. Inclusive, aquele cabelo estava perfeito no Gulf, Mew como sempre, lindo. Tharntype foi meu segundo BL e encerrar o tórrido romance deles é, querendo ou não, nostálgico. Acho que nem todos vão gostar dessa temporada.

the disappointment meter is broken
7 years.... of love?the title must be a joke because i did not see much of the development of the main couple's relationship.
when i thought season 1 was bad, this was just sad to watch. after seven years of being together, one picture of their gay partner and a woman somehow set alarming signals for type's side. instead of being mature and talk to tharn about it, he takes it upon himself to sAve tHe dAy. oh don't get me started with the misogynistic remarks type made and the tiresome bl line that was rearranged but still means the same thing.
where is the trust in this relationship?
definitely not in episode 10 when tharn gets hella pissed because type supposedly kiSsEd fiat when it's so evident type pushed the guy away? again, i ask: WHERE is the TRUST in this relationship?
after seven whole years, both of these grown ass men can't sit down and talk on how to fix the flaws in their relationship.
now... you may think: this can't get any worse, right?
you're in for a surprise because it can get worse! type, a whole grown ass person literally thought it's a good idea to kidnap fiat and threaten to break his leg. am i watching a romance drama or a thriller drama?
i couldn't find myself rooting for leo and fiat because of how unlikeable fiat's character was. the writer failed to give us any proper backstory of why we should root for fiat. yes, his father left him when he was a kid and so leo took him in but what else is there? your past trauma doesn't mean you can be an A+ asshole.
leo could've been a tolerable character but it frustrated me to see him continuously forgive fiat's actions even though he knew damn well it's not right. it was so annoying to see him take fiat back in when he should've left him be. episode 11 was just sO bad with us being clowned with the whole "i aCtUaLLy loVeD yoU tHe wHole tiMe" and leo actually agreeing to type's idiotic plan from episode 10.
what's more disappointing is that this could've been a story with focus on tharn and type figuring about each other's remaining insecurities, finding ways to understand each other and also an explanation on why type refused on marrying tharn. put aside the multiple couples, filler scenes of unnecessary characters like the creepy eavesdropping guy and the failed k-idol trainee. instead, show us glimpses of the past seven years (not just from s1) and how much this relationship developed, make us believe that these two were truly together for seven years and also show us actual maturity between these two.
i was willing to watch this second season with a clean slate and no recollection of first season... the final episode looked like the perfect beginning for the drama but sadly, this drama didn't make a redeeming comeback. some scenes of tharntype and other couples being cute were nice but that's about it.

TharnType 2 - A lesson in how to destroy a BL ship!
Congratulations to whoever wrote this story, whoever wrote this script, whoever directed this series, whoever edited this series! You literally took one of the best couples in the business, who had the best chemistry of all BL couples and turned them into a caricature and destroyed their chemistry! As many times as we felt awesome when Mew and Gulf got together in Season 1, this season I was actually uncomfortable in their romantic scenes. It wasn't organic, it was artificial and uncomfortable. I wanted it to end and I hated those cheesy dialogues, looking into each other's eyes and speaking nonsense in what amounts to a horrible b-grade movie with semi-porn music in the background!! I don't mind fan service, but please stop putting out stuff like fans are gullible and stupid! You took two great actors with great chemistry and for the sake of greed and taking advantage of fans, wrote a horrible screenplay, hired a juvenile director that can't direct and an editor who edits like a school kid and destroyed everything that was good about this series and these boys!! BEST THING ABOUT THIS SHOW IS THAT IT'S OVER
This show is the worst thing i've ever done to myself and if that's the case with you too, congratulations. You've come to the right place. I have extreme hatred towards everything that happened, specially Tharn. Let's get further into it, you and me. Join me in this journey and scream into a void with me.Starting with the fact how the title is fooling us. It's been 7 minutes since Type and Tharn started dating and not 7 years bec that's how they act. Their relationship has always been toxic but I never expected that they'll have no trust in each other whatsoever. They act like babies and it's frustrating to watch. Definitely not a like couple who has been together for 7 years and that's how you know that the show is already bad.
Moving on, THARN IS HUMANITY'S WORST ENEMY! he is really the worst character. He is obsessed with one thing and one thing only. and that is getting into Type's pants. It's like he can't seem to think of anything else at all. He said he likes type in tank tops and that Type is trying to seduce him by wearing them around the house. ????? What does this even mean? So Type can't even wear comfortable clothing in his own house bec apparently he's "seducing" his sex crazed partner? What an amazing message to convey to the viewers. *SLOW CLAPSSS*. Secondly, his whiny face. He is constantly complaining or crying about something or the other each and every episode. It's really unpleasant, and most importantly, it doesn't make me feel bad for him at all because he's a full grown man. It's just repetitive and shows that Tharn has no other personality trait.
I can never wrap my head around the fact that Tharn saw Fiat kissing Type but not when Type pushed him away and yelled at him? How is that even possible? Anyway, that whole plot was garbage.
Let's talk about Type a bit now, he was genuinely doing so well. The only character who grew up and was acting like an adult. His character development was interesting to watch and it made the show a little bearable. BUT NO, they had to go ahead and ruin that by showing ugh the whole Fiat kidnapping and assault plan. YES, YOU HEARD ME RIGHT. IT WAS ASSAULT AND IT IS NOT ROMANTIC AT ALL. What Fiat did was wrong but this was not the way to deal with it all!! Because assault is never the answer to anything! whether it's physical or mental. It traumatised Fiat and will probably affect him for the rest of his life. There were 847567475 ways to deal with this but the writer of the novel has always been obsessed with assault and non consensual scenes so I wasn't surprised. Disappointed , YES FOR SURE but not surprised. Considering the fact that Type is a victim of assault himself, he should've known what it can do to a person and would not have done what he did. Now that's what Type after 7 years of graduation would've done because that's how a rational grown up will react. But it's been 7 minutes and not 7 years so what can we do. Also, why was Type interested in Fiat's love life more than clearing things out with Tharn or making sure that he's doing alright?? I would never understand.
Type's dad is another garbage character. He's been complaining about the same thing since 7 years. Homophobia was never funny to me and never will be. He is extremely annoying and overbearing and he makes me wanna punch a wall. He didn't resist telling his committed son (repeatedly) that he should find a "beautiful" girl and get married to her. The worst part of it all is that he's been against the relationship for 7 years but immediately agrees to it once Tharn's sister Thanya comes to visit? WHY? Because she's his favorite actress? I can't get over this shit. Speaking of unbearable characters, Techno. I actually liked him in the first season. But again, they had one good thing but they tried soo hard that they ended up ruining that too. He doesn't stop talking and is clowning ALL. THE. DAMN. TIME.
The last episode was extremely boring and dragged. I really didn't understand why we got to see Thorn's wedding for 20 mins since I never connected with the couple, they had a total 15 mins of screen time in the whole season but we're somehow supposed to feel heartfelt and enjoy their wedding for the majority of the season finale? Shit is not adding up for me.
Saving the best for last, DocChamp. Except for type's bald egg, they were the cutest, most unproblematic couple. But we hardly got to see them because of course, they weren't toxic so why would we? Right? But I loved them regardless because they denoted hope in a way and I always looked forward to their scenes.
Leo and Fiat were cute too but only when they were on their own. The constantly crying Fiat hurt my eyes and honestly, I was least interested but I wouldn't have minded more LeoFiat. They had endless oppurtunities with the side couples but ended up taking advantage of none. All we saw was the same toxicity again and again on a loop.
For me personally, this show was worse than the first season. It was a complete disaster. Every week I watched because I was one episode closer to the end. MewGulf are extremely talented actors and I would really like to see them in another series again and hopefully something good. They did a great job but the storyline was just not it for me. I'm glad this show is over because we really don't need any more of it to be honest.

Despite vowing not to touch any more Thai BL after the unfolding disaster that was this year, I nonetheless pressed play on TharnType: 7 Years of Dysfunction (sorry, love) and here I am. I know this is the review you have all been waiting for.
Well, it's been seven years since Tharn and Type got together and refused to deal with any of their internal relationship issues. So here we are, kind of tired and muted and a bit sad after seven years of Tharn avoiding conflict because of his fear of rejection and Type being publicly in the closet because he refuses to admit he's gay. The two do nothing but bottle things up, have a kind of passive-aggressive fight and then have sexy times to cover the cracks. I suspect as viewers we're just supposed to enjoy the sexy times and not notice that this relationship is terrible. But it is. It's terrible. I desperately want both of them to break up and go find somebody else better suited to them. Or at least FINALLY deal with the issues in their relationship. Also, Tharn has these moments where he's absolutely f'ing creepy to younger gay men and it only reminds me that he was abused as an adolescent and nobody is doing anything about it. His abuser is practically living at his family's house. But at least he's no longer dating a literal child.
So it's seven years later and Type is struggling at work in probably the only plotline that is possibly about something (there IS a big difference between studying and working and dealing with workplace nonsense can be exhausting). And I'll expand on the implied point here - there is literally nothing else in this drama so far that is about anything. There is no plot. At all. The show is lacklustre and paint by numbers. Even the shoe-horned soft-core porn I'm supposed to be distracted by is phoned in. They devoted actual screentime to Type being jealous over a woman despite his boyfriend being completely 100% gay. And if I touched on the screaming misoygnism of that whole plotline I'd be here all week.
Tharn wants to get married because he think that means that Type will be his possession and can therefore NEVER LEAVE (marriage doesn't work like this, my damaged friend) and Type doesn't want to get married because if he marries a man he might have to admit he's gay and we can't have that because this is Thai BL and we all know GAY IS BAD. And of course you'll remember show completely glossed over this conflict at multiple points even though it's the main one. Possibly if Tharn needs constant emotional reassurance he shouldn't have spent seven years with a man who's already married to his closet and again - these two are TERRIBLE for each other. Break up! Do better. I get it, you love each other. It's not enough!
Since this show is unlikely to be about these two actually working out any of these issues but will inevitably find an external conflict for them to pretend they're a rock under siege then I should bow out now. But if I did then how could I reliably report back that TharnType is a bad show about a dysfunctional couple and you shouldn't bother getting invested.

what even is this???
I need someone to explain this to me, like I'm three, because I just don't understand how this not only got approved, but filmed and aired.Who thought this was a good idea?
To be clear, i don't blame Mew or Gulf for this mess. They're actors, doing their jobs, and doing them pretty well in spite of the terrible writing, bad direction and awful editing.
I want to start with something positive. But there's nothing really positive to start with. This whole series is a mess.
THE PLOT: It's been seven years since Tharn and Type got together. They're now sharing an apartment and, after his brother announces his engagement, Tharn decides he wants to marry Type.
Type does not want to get married, for reasons which are valid but which Tharn completely ignores.
Type is working for a boss that seems to hate him (we never find out why, not really), which is causing him a lot of stress as his boss just piles the work on - even work that Type is not supposed to be doing as part of his job - and it's putting a strain on their relationship.
That's basically it for about eight episodes, then things take a hard right and suddenly Type has left to go stay with his parents and become a monk.
THE PROBLEMS: Tharn is lost in his own world. Type and he barely communicate about things, especially important things, and Tharn becomes so obsessed with having what his brother has (an engagement and a wedding) that he doesn't listen to Type at all and completely dismisses Type's very reasonable fears and objections. Tharn's wanting to get married appears to come out of nowhere to Type, and to us as well. Tharn never seems to consider actually talking about why Type doesn't want to get married and makes it all about him.
Cir and Phu just confuse me. Cir acts like a five year old and Phu acts like a combination of his brother/father/guardian. How am I meant to believe these two are a couple?
Fiat and Leo also confuse me. It's obvious from the first episode that Leo is in love with Fiat, and if he'd just have said something the worst of this story's problems could have been avoided (Fiat acting like a little stalker, and Type kidnapping and threatening Fiat) but Fiat, who is probably the most realistic character out of them all (eh, he's still a teenager and lacks emotional maturity and does stupid things - sounds about right), could try and take a hint. Hint: best friends don't let you lay all over them. Next to them, yes, but not full body contact all over them.
Techno, who I rather liked in S1, has been ramped up to eleven and gone from funny and charming to obnoxious and annoying.
a bit like the sound effects that are overused to the point to stupidity through the story.
The Doc and Champ had a rather sweet relationship, which was nice, but sadly their screen time was limited because the writer clearly wanted to focus on the other couples.
let's not even get started on the female characters. It's a Thai BL so it won't end well.
S1 had it's problems, but at least it was a cohesive story and every episode felt necessary. Half the episodes in S2 feel like filler as things rinse and repeat (Type gets in trouble with his boss, Tharn and Type have an argument, Tharn does something romantic and they make up, start again) and nothing changes until the last three episodes or so, when the pair of them finally learn to communicate a little better (which shouldn't have taken seven years.)

Season two felt like a gift
I am very happy that this season came out the story was emotional but it did not have two much drama. I really love their connection it really felt like they were dating for 7 years. I got to see different sides to them and I really loved how they kept the dorm neighbors they were a really fun edition.There is only one episode left and I have been waiting for this for such a long time. I can't wait to rewatch this from season 1 in a few weeks. I'll be saving it for my 2 week quarantine for when I move to Japan next month. Also I am really happy they did not use violence like in the first season. That was really toxic for the relationship.
