Park Ki Ja é o editor perfeccionista da revista Style. Ela é extremamente confiante, teimosa e egocêntrica, mas também tem um senso de moda matador. Em sua juventude, Ki Ja sonhava em estudar na Parsons The New School for Design em Nova York, mas suas esperanças foram destruídas depois que a crise econômica coreana levou seu pai ao suicídio. Logo após a morte de seu pai, a mãe de Ki Ja mudou-se para o Canadá, mas Ki Ja ficou para trás na Coréia. Na época ela não podia deixar para trás o namorado Seo Woo Jin, que estudava para ser médico. Seo Jung inicialmente esperava se tornar uma escritora, mas por causa de sua situação financeira conseguiu um emprego de meio período na revista Style. Quando Seo Jung conhece Woo Jin, ela se apaixona por ele. Ela sabe que Woo Jin é o ex-namorado de Ki Ja, mas não consegue controlar seus sentimentos por ele. Por último, Kim Min Joon é fotógrafo da revista Style. Ele segue Ki Ja como um cachorrinho perdido devido a seus sentimentos avassaladores por ela. Por causa de Ki Ja, Min Joon permaneceu na revista Style mesmo quando ofertas melhores apareceram. Quando Min Joon percebe a atenção que Woo Jin recebe de Ki Ja e Seo Jung, ele sente ciúmes. Style é um drama ambientado no glamoroso e competitivo mundo da moda, inspirado no famoso romance "The Devil Wears Prada". Not your typical goody two shoe heroine
This is a very fun series to watch because the theme is about the cut throat fashion industry but the approach is fun and light.It is pretty obvious from the beginningbthat the star of the show is the anti-heroine Ki-ja and not Seo-jong. People always thought that the underdog is the lead but that is not always the case.
In this movie the plot and backbone of the storyline evolves around the anti-heroine Ki-ja the fiesty, officious, overbearing boss of the magazine. In the beginning, the staff finds her terrifying and too strict and thats why some viewers thought she is the antagonist.
The good thing about this show is that the heroine is not a typical boring, goody and sweetie girl. Her character shows how she defeated the real antagonists with her smart, cunning and persistent ways and strong, dynamic personality.
Eventually, the staff appreciated her strict personality that produces results which contributed to the success of the magazine.
The antagonists are the rich chairman stepsister of the hero and the envious but second rate former chief editor of the magazine who does everything to bring Ki-ja and the magazine down.
This is clear cut from the beginning and i dont know how people would mistake who the real lead is in the story.
Likewise, in the secondary plot the two leading men were both vying for her love and attention. How much clearer does one need to establish the true heroine of the story. Anti-heroine she may be.
