My favorite drama BY FAR!

STORY-------------------------------
This was recommended a lot, and was extremely popular, so I decided to watch it. NO REGRETS. At first I watched it mainly for Ding Yu Xi and Zhao Lu Si, but I loved the story too. I really liked how this drama flowed, and how interesting the plot was. It was very unique and I loved the perspective it put out. 10/10 for everything.

ACTING/CAST---------------------
Like I mentioned, I watched it at first mainly for the cast. I love the individual personalities of the characters, and the chemistry was great.

MUSIC--------------------------------
I almost memorized all the music lyrics! I really enjoyed it.

REWATCH VALUE-----------------
Would 1000000% rewatch! Such a good drama! I heard season 2 was coming soon, and I am glad they planned one.

OVERALL----------------------------
Story was amazing, acting/cast was great, I loved all the music, and I would definitely rewatch it. For those who have not seen this drama...I'm recommending it right now! I can't wait for season 2 and hope for the same quality story and cast!

This was a 6/10, but I'm giving it a 5/10 out of pure spite.

I don't even know what happened in the last three eps. I broke my forward button trying to speed run it to the ending. This was going somewhere, until it totally lost itself, ran into a bus, and drowned in a pile of quick sand cuz of how fast everything went to location unknown, plot not found. The abundance of miscommunications and monstrous amounts of misunderstandings genuinely did my head in. And thats not even touching upon Pei Heng — cuz istg, if I have to hear that man say him and Qian Qian were engaged since childhood ONE MORE FUCKING TIME, I will ram myself into a bloody bus. And don't even get me started on the fact that Han Shou tried to sexually assaulted Qian Qian to scare her and get back at her, only to show he regretted it. Ummmm.... the fuck???

They actually had a good premise, only to fuck it up. The humour was there, until it got drowned out by all the stupidity. And the setting. I don't know about everyone, but personally, it did not vibe with me. Like I get the purpose, and I genuinely thought we were going to start a conversation about how the female lead country was just as stupid as the male lead country. There was nothing empowering about it, it was legit what the male dominated country is like but with roles reversed. If one is fucking stupid and ridiculous and icky, then so it the other.

Also, Qian Qian is single handily the most annoying bitch ever. The definition of go girl give us nothing. Not a single brain cell up there. She single handily ruined her own story SHE WROTE by going inside it. You'd think for someone that writes, she'd recognise flaws in her own thinking and as well as avoid all the cliches — NOT FALL INTO THEM.

This had to be the biggest slog fest ever, and the only reason I watched it was cuz of Ding Yu Xi. But I didn't vibe with his character one bit, so that wasted my time even more. It just made no sense to me.

Absolutely adorable funny and worth watching series

I stumbled upon this series - one of the trailers - when browsing YouTube. As I have watched Zhao LuSi's drama, I decided to search for it. Definitely not disappointed. This series is absolutely charming, adorable, extremely funny in many many scenes, touching and romantic. There are various comedy scenes, especially the assistance of the male and female leads..... always landing in funny moments. Zhao LuSi and Ding YuXi are extremely great actors and I enjoy watching their chemistry and funny antics together. Although it is my first time watching Ding YuXi, I will say - I love his acting. He did a very good job for a relatively and quite new actor. Hoping to watch more of his upcoming or past series. The other casts of the series are also very good and deserve a good pat on the shoulder for the great job and hard work they put in to make this series a success! The songs paired with it are also very nicely paired.

Adorable

When I first started it, I was surprised by the fact it was set in the modern world because I thought it was some wuxia, but then I got it. It was something new to see the roles between men and women changed, but I liked it nonethless. I didn't quite liked the way QianQian and Chuchu we're talking about Han Chuo as he was an object. I got the fact that she felt guilty for her sister, but she should've taken Han Chuo's feelings into account before making those plans.
Still I kinda liked the way QianQian's character was made, childish and immature, but serious and loyal when it was needed.
Edit : okay I'm at 19 ep and I understand testing her kungfu skills or whatever but that's not an excuse for almost raping her
Another edit : Just finished it and it was so cute. I need a second season

Finally I watch this drama. Yeah I quite understand why people love it. Thanks to long ballad that change my perception of Rosy Zhao, that's why I decided to try watch this drama & turn out I love it.

The world where woman as a leader... it's quite interesting. & this drama give more elaborate of the situation, politic, cultural than the eternal love 3. Woman as a leader I notice some plus and minus in their leadership that really quite makes sense:
* Their more emotional than man as a king, more using feeling than logic. Like in here we can see Chen Qian Qian (QQ) mother really have partial heart & love between QQ & Chen Chu Chu (CC). & the punishment for their child is not serious/grave than man as a king.

What I like:
+ I really like Rosy Zhao here. What usually I don't like & can't stand to see her acting became her plus point in here. Like how she's coaxing her mother & Han Shuo (HS). Everything she act here is just put in the right amount. Really look forward for her other drama.
+ HS is really one slave of love. See how he foolishly just falling in love to QQ is something ^_^.
+ This drama didn't make draggy long & annoying scene. They just have 24 ep, it's quite short so they waste no scene or episode.
+ I love how at the end we can also see the situation in HS kingdom & compare both of the kingdom. Really funny actually when QQ said in the party with all the minister about how important woman actually in their household. Really like when the back to HS kingdom how HS treat QQ give her support without using word. :)

What raising my eyebrow:
* How can CC just easily replace Pei Heng as minister of defense when she said she is the descendant of their mother. It's supposed to be by mandate of queen to be replace or not.

Overall I really enjoy the drama, but no I don't think I'll gonna re-watch this.

HILARIOUS!

Currently I'm keen on C-drama and if you are looking for something light and funny, then this drama is a good option!

Story:
The story line is interesting, they give you a funny twist & turn. But don't blame them for sometimes put some illogical scenes that make you wonder why on earth they react like this (it's fun tho to watch this kind of scenes, but only sometimes ya).

Acting:
I kinda surprise to watch the male lead, my first impression about him was he's not really suit for the funny scene. But I'm wrong. He's hilarious! For the female lead, this is my first time to watch her drama. She's cute, funny & really good at acting. The plus point is, she didn't have that annoying voice!

I would definitely watch this again if I have nothing to watch!

drama sejarah wuxia yang dikemas dengan menarik. menggabungkan unsur modern dengan unsur sejarahnya, yang dimana siwanita utama masuk kedalam cerita naskah dramanya sendiri. suka suka sangat menarik. ini drama wuxia pertama yang aku tonton selama nonton drama china lainnya. setelah liat drama ini, jadi tertarik dengan drama drama historical wuxia lainnya.
buat actingnya bagus bagus.. mungkin karna udah lama nonton jadi aga aga lupa sama aktingnya gimana tapi overall oke kok..

1. chemistry Acting Leads di crack? Memeriksa. Bagaimanapun, Zhao Lusi, yang unggul dalam genre ini. Ryan ding juga sangat hebat dalam hal licik DAN juga menggemaskan. Meskipun terkadang QQ sedikit membelok ke wilayah pembuat onar yang mengganggu, ZLS menebusnya dengan banyak pesona dan kelucuan. HS tidak kehilangan otaknya saat jatuh cinta dan tetap setia pada akar perut hitamnya, menyeimbangkannya dengan baik dengan kegilaan.
Karakter sampingan yang menyenangkan? Memeriksa. Penjahat utama bahkan tidak begitu menjijikkan dan para pelayan adalah yang terbaik yang pernah saya lihat dalam menjadi stan setia tuan mereka. Pertengkaran terus-menerus para pelayan bahkan bisa dianggap sebagai bromance komik.

2. Produksi
Musik yang bagus sebenarnya tidak terlalu diperlukan, tetapi set dan kostumnya cukup menarik untuk membuat Anda terus menonton meskipun itu bukan tontonan visual yang biasa dari karya dramatis seperti genre lainnya. Bagaimanapun, ini adalah romcom! Kami hanya perlu produksi agar terlihat cukup cantik dan prospeknya akan bersinar.

drama ini membuat saya tertawa melalui setiap episode dari awal sampai akhir!! Rollercoaster ini tidak kehilangan tenaga dan memberikan akhir yang bahagia yang secara logis memuaskan sebagai satu-satunya akhir yang dapat diterima. Bahkan berhasil memasukkan analisis mendalam tentang hubungan pria-wanita dalam industri drama dan di dunia modern kita, yang merupakan meta yang cukup bagi saya untuk menghargai kecerdasan para penulis naskah. Want to see men humiliated? This drama is exactly what you are looking for.

Initially when I first approached this drama and saw the beginning of the first episode, I dropped it immediately. However, since I like Zhao Lusi, I gave it a second chance and it actually began to be pretty fun.

Men are the source of entertainment, they have to be obedient to their wives, and are killed if they don't know their place. Oh man, this drama is really sticking it to all men for the humiliation women usually have to bear!

What I love about this drama is the way it deals with the problem of two opposite worlds, searching for some kind of balance working for both sides. The second strong message from this drama is, what can happen to a person, who loses his purpose in life. This drama made me burst out laughing, but also impressed me with the behind-story thoughts.

My Ending Analysis

My biggest regret is for not watching this drama sooner. 😭 Actually this is my first historical cdrama ever and I really love this so much!! The reason why I continue to watch this is because of the humor and chemistry of the leads. Plus the ending made me realize so many things!!

For the ending here's my analysis;

Actor Han and Chen Xiao Qian is indeed Han Shuo and Chen QianQian itself, they only played the character inside the dream but with Actor Han's and Chen XiaoQian true feelings with the use of the settings and characters of the script that Chen Xiao Qian written.

Remember on the first episode Actor Han said that Chen Xiao Qian might not experienced love and she doesn't know anything about romance based on what he had read on her script. i think from that words it's a hint for the magic of their romance to happen so soon.


When they in the ancient time or inside the "dream" already, yes they had to play the character Chen QianQian and Han Shuo because that what was the script meant to be happen... But since Chen Xiao Qian did something hilarious 😂 just to change everything from the beginning and to avoid the poisoning scene and from being killed... She tried to change it... from their wedding, the dragon bone, and other scene... It's a clue that the story is not the same anymore and they can actually change the story and create their own memories with that character.

In other explanation... They are inside the story but only Chen XiaoQian who can change everything FIRST because of her consciousness... While Actor Han played the character of Han Shuo from what the script should be happened.. but until....from the beginning , he is NOT THE SAME Han Shuo from the script anymore because the story is not the same anymore too. Remember.. On the script, Chen XiaoQian is meant to be killed on their wedding but it did not happened.

And so that.. Han Shuo and Chen QianQian is indeed a just characters or just a name that was written by Chen XiaoQian that helped them to realize what is LOVE it is. Those characters helped them to be together. The feelings, memories is actually TRUE made by Chen XiaoQian and Actor Han in the story since both of them are actually experience the "dream" at the same time so it's not Han Shuo and Chen QianQian because the Han Shup and QianQian in the original script is not in good relationship
....

but in the end she changed the ending from what she has experience... That is the LOVE
