beautiful chemistry but stupid ending.
this movie was absolutely beautiful and the chemistry between the main roles were so perfect like i really enjoyed it but the ending pissed me off. five minutes of credits.. like yall couldn't add a better reunion scene? the whole running thing was unnecessary and so was her driving off with her boss. i understand she wanted to learn about his past but.. it really didn't have anything to do with her? she's the one that told him in the email let's only talk when we have good things to share, she never told him the shitty job she had and when they first reunited they both just enjoyed each others company but she has to go a mess that up for what?? and she could of just stayed quiet about it. so much unnecessary shit in the ending, also him beating up his friend.. what good did that do?? i'm sorry but ohmygod for a 2 hour movie yall could of done something better with that ending.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I should probably stop watching melodramas, huh?
The entire time I was watching this movie, I was puzzled as heck because I couldn’t decipher where the plot was going. Instead of building a solid foundation for a love story, this movie seemed to rapidly take me from one timeline to another, with the two leads meeting up in the most unusual ways possible. Now, while the storyline completely disappointed me (just like it disappointed everyone else), I thought that the chemistry between Jung Hae In and Kim Go Eun was TO DIE FOR, and I would love to see the two of them collaborate in another project (hopefully a kdrama. I need more screen time for both of these lovely people!). I will definitely go check out Kim Go Eun’s other works now, because she freaking stole my heart in this movie (No, I haven’t watched Goblin yet as I’m writing this, don’t come for me please ahah).Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Tune in for love, remember it for something else
A seemingly innocent puppy love combined with strong nostalgic 90's music. After the first day of October, 1994, Mi-soo's (Kim Go-eun) and Hyeon-woo's (Jung Hae-in) lives were never the same again. It was almost certain that they are destined for one another, but timing could have never been more wrong. With that, it was also interesting to see how thestory unfolded throughout different parts of their lives. One thing that stood out here was that I liked about the circumstances that they meet and later reconnected were different, which was realistic and integrated with the technology that was common at that time. First they meet in 1994 while tuning in the radio (basically the meaning of the title), in 1997 with the use of email, and 2000 with the use of mobile phones. But despite the use of technology for their love story to develop, it just wasn't their time yet. Also, them meeting more than once despite now living separately was too coincidental. Yet, what I noticed really well here was their emotions every time they met which helped the atmosphere and story's credibility - it was most often longing with each other, and the ache when they have to separate again. It also emphasized the slowness of this slow-burn romance movie and built this tension as to when and how they would end up together.
It was intriguing while waiting when the right timing is. But when it finally happened, I felt that the thrill disappeared and the pacing became stagnant as they now focused on Hyeon-woo's past, which should've been explained more in detail. I really was curious as to why Hyeon-woo became like that, but there were only tidbits revealed about him and I (the viewer) had to fill in the gaps, which was disappointing. I get that the direction was to be more subtle and nuanced, but it wasn't executed properly well here, since there were still loose ends.
Also, a trope which I did not expect to find here is the martyr complex which often leads to miscommunication. Well, since it was already added to the story, it would've made more sense had it been introduced earlier and not just ramdomly added near the end. Not only that it lost the thrill of the "waiting game" between the two, but it shifted the story angle. Although it was somewhat saved by the cheesy ending, not that I'm complaining since it went back to the roots of their connection. In my prospective thinking, with this type of communication or lack thereof, I doubt that their relationship would succeed in the long run.
I think the highlight for this movie would be the music since it was very fitting with the mood in every scene it was played, and it created more substance to the story. Personally, I felt several emotions every time a song would play. At the start, it was more nostalgic yet sweet and innocent; in the middle it was bittersweet yet still hopeful; and in the end it was romantic and cheesy, just like the story itself.
Overall, a mellow slow-burn romance with great chemistry but the sudden loss of "thrill" on the succeeding parts of their relationship and its almost toxic miscommunication trope (basically the shift of storytelling) diminished the spark that was felt in the beginning. Still, its ending was satisfactorily done so no major complaints aside from the loose ends. Tune in for love, remember it for something else.

Their chemistry hard carried this one
I was looking forward to this movie since I enjoyed the interviews/promotions the cast did for the movie. They had the chemistry and were fun together, and the trailer was pretty. Kim Go Eun and Jung Hae In have proven they can act and I enjoyed their chemistry but the plot fell flat and predictable. There were misunderstandings that could've been solved easily. The time lapses were there just to let us know they spent time apart... it all felt flat? That said, I still enjoyed the film, especially the first hour.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
"Tune in for Love" is not particularly remarkable as a romance film (though I can hardly think of any that are). Centralized around the passage of time highlighted through popular music of its chosen era, the ups and downs of the leads relationships hits predicable notes.
It even goes the extra mile and throws in the easily remedied failures of communication that only arise for the sake of the plot (as opposed to a natural breakdown in their dynamic). Still, the production of the film is clean and sharp enough, and its the performances --- as opposed to the characters --- that keep you committed to the story.
There is a lot about "Tune in for Love" that's too becomes saccharine and melodramatic towards the end, but a film that chooses to end with Coldplay's wobbly "Fix You", is one I can appreciate.

There were times when I felt like the story was rushing and there were many holes. Like the first 3 year gap came so quick and they really didn't explain what exactly happens to boy who died. What happens to all the friends, what happens to Min Su's boss at the end, but in general the story was different and cute. I also think that the actors saved the movie. They made me feel something different yet beautiful. As for the gaps, the editing was bad, I couldn't find the prefect transitions during all the time gaps. Long story short, I think the person needs to watch this in order to understand what I'm trying to say and agree or disagree with me. Esta resenha foi útil para você?

this is very quite, slow pace movie without any exciting eventsvery normal story line
although it was slow but it wasn't boring
but i felt the writer kept repeating separating them and meeting again by chance which was annoying and illogical
suddenly they stop talking to each other even across the e-mail
which i didn't get why
and the timing wasn't logic either
two people met for few days then left each other for years then met again
for a day then left for years
then 15 years passed at the same rhythm i think it wasn't logical to stay loving each other with no real situations between them
and i didn't get why they get quarreled, may be the translation was bad but i got it was a trust issue
how come he assumed she should trust him without trusting her first and tell her what happened that day
(even the writer didn't trust us to tell us clearly assuming we should guess by ourselves) LOL :/
and the role of the 2nd ML was very fluid
i found the story was flimsy and lukewarm
it wasted (jung hae in) & (kim go eun) talent in my opinion

Great acting
Honestly, Kim Go-eun and Jung Hae-in are the main reason I decided to watch this movie. They truly did not disappoint. They had great chemistry, facial expressions and they made it all seem real. I feel this movie would not have been a hit without these two main leads. All in all, I'm not really a huge fun of Korean movies because I feel they are rushed (in comparison to dramas) and I felt this was rushed as well. There are some story lines I would have loved to know more about (the accident), if he eventually made up with his friends, to name but a few. But I totally understand it becomes quite difficult with movies since you cannot have a whole 2 hour movie.
I'd suggest it to everyone who is a fan of Kim Go-eun and Jung Hae-in as they portray great acting skills, as always. I'd re-watch it again, for the same reasons, just to see their chemistry ;)
The music used kind of blended well with the movie and I mostly enjoyed Fix You by Cold Play.

For days when you want something slow paced.
Tune In For Love is a movie showcasing interactions between two people who have somehow managed to miss each other and yet keep finding. The movie layered with subtle romance, showing us of a time when you couldn’t rely on various apps to link you with someone. The romance with Kim Go Eun and Jung Hae is so well done, their chemistry is sizzling and even though we don’t get many romantic interactions between them you’re left craving for more. I hope they do a drama together in the future! This is cute movie, a little slow paced in the beginning but shows their relationship and yearning evolve beautifully. I felt that the end was a little rushed and could have been better wrapped, but that’s okay.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

One love story that tell you when you know you know...
One love story that tell you when you know you know... Hyun Woo & Mi Soo from the first time we already know they will gonna end up together, just the matter of how & when, and themselves also know this as fact, of how attract them one and the other.Very impressive how all the coincidental meeting & how they keep their feeling for each other after that many years... After that the love just that easily blossom just like they wait for so damn long time for this to happen...
But of course, not life if they don't give us surprise & problem.
Here comes the part that I'm not too like about this movie...
What is the hell of Hyun Woo's problem? we never really get the fully answer about his past. What is the reason he go to prison? Is the push is accidental or what the heck happen that day...? I don't know why the cut scene very explisit like that, they don't even show us the blood or the body at the ground.... And more over what about his friend...? Are they really bad or what...?
For me the lack of explanation is very ambiguous & not clear that make this movie ending with unclear tone...

Slow paced
The drama has a potential to be a good melodrama but overall it became too slow paced and there were unnecessary fillers which felt draggy. The time skips were too fast and the story seems be lacking a solid chemistry between the two. Was excited to see the Main cast together after Goblin, but the excitement faded away 15min into the movie. This was a tough watch for me considering that i liked Jung Hae In's slice of life dramas like One spring night and Something in the rain.what i liked about this drama: Cast !! That's all!!
what i didn't like: story which didn't connect the time skips, their lack of communication, gloomy music, side characters with no use to the story at all.
Wouldn't recommend who are not into slow paced or the fans of main cast!!

Editing issues?
Okay I'm not sure if it was the writing or the editing, but the movie seemed clunky at times. The time passages were ungainly, issues could have easily been resolved by just talking to one another, and there were times that it was so slow, I was feeling like people forgot their lines. However, the leads were terrific (especially together), the ending was good, and Coldplay was a bonus.
