Showing reality of late 90s and first decade of XXI century is defintely one of this film's charms, as well as well-build characters that are authentic.

Amazing korean indie film vibes, but it tried a little too hard at the end
This movie definitely has a lot of shortcomings, but it does one thing really right. Which is to capture the feeling of nostalgia and innocence. And this was definitely what made me give this movie a rather high rating still. It did not fail to convey the genuine feelings of youth... and personally, that was enough to make me fall in love with this movie. The wonderful emotional impact was largely due to the actors’ chemistry, the awesome soundtrack, the 35mm-Film colours and the 90’s -00’s fashion/set design... but it definitely wasn’t the plot. The plot was a whole mess. It’s almost as if they spent the whole year paying attention to the details of the set design and the fashion and the cinematography and everything else *EXCEPT* for the plot. There was not enough depth in Mi-Soo’s character for us to sympathise with her...
And I totally get what they were trying to do with Hyun Woo’s character - mysterious, brooding, hesitant, and how like Mi-Soo wants to like him but she’s actually secretly scared of him and is sceptical about his criminal record... and how no one has ever trusted him bcs of his criminal record... I get that, but I could only get that in the second time watching and it wasn’t fleshed out very well either. It just felt kinda premature instead of real character growth. It’s a good point to explore though, just not executed well I guess- Since the audience did not have any trust issues with Hyun Woo and was expecting an “innocent cute love story” instead.
All in all, the feeling of nostalgia was so well developed that it will probably last you for the whole two hours. You won’t feel accomplished after watching it, nor would you feel like you’ve been enlightened about some higher level knowledge about life... instead it’s kinda like revisiting an old friend, or finding a dusty photo book with photos of your past... it’s that warm feeling that will be in a little corner of your heart for awhile 💛

Eun Tak and Tae Hee love interest in Goblin apparently gets a second chance in their next life as Mi Soo and Hyeon Woo in this retro light romance movie. Their love story spans from 1994 to 2005, and we get to see the retro technology like radio, telephone booth, Windows 95, flip phone, and so on. It's a memory delight for viewers growing up in the 90's and amazement to the generation afterwards. Meeting at first time when she is a high-schooler and he just got off the juvenile detention center, Mi Soo and Hyeon Woo gradually start liking each other. Fate and hardship of life meets and tears them apart each time in 1997 and 2000 until the last meeting in 2005. Each time, the lack of communication between the couple is the real antagonist in separating them. And it seems like also the lack of communication from the production team separate the movie from the viewers with choppy scenes and bumpy relationship growth. The movie is saved by great acting skills of main and supporting actors and actresses, and the chemistry between Jung Hae In and Kim Go Eun is sweet. And off course some nice music. As mellow as it is, I will not re-watch this movie again. Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Romantic Love Story ❤️
Korea is famous for romantic movies so it becomes really hard to geniuenly love a story when there are so many. Felt like I'm watching something which is worth my time. It has a realistic feel to it along with a little bit of magic✨Kim Go-eun did a really good job, when I watch her movies I just feel connected and obviously handsome Jung Hae-in also did a fabulous job, their chemistry is really something.
Overall, the story is good and the concept of them getting apart again and again and only meeting by coincidence and then finally realizing their feelings works really well in the movie. The music is also really really good, soothing as well as romantic.💕💞💞

Romance For The Romantic
Tune in for love is a movie is about 2 teenagers as they grow in the late 1980s in Seoul and their struggle to keep their love for each other even as they age with many odds around them.Firstly, I applaud the performances which were amazing they really embedded the feeling of growing up through the years and the way they kind of went through those experiences with the audience was eye-catching and very interesting. it is very much a romance movie not much of comedy and I could feel the director's mind in the way the scenes where sequenced. The storyline, however, is not much original they did convey it in a very unique way but you could feel and feel the mainstream romance theme and lines in some of the scenes. I do however love the fact that they came from struggling backgrounds and how it affected them in different ways throughout the course of their years. The coming of age theme is very imputed in the story and it goes from teenage delinquency to youthful pleasure all the way to adulthood turmoil up until their early 30s.
One thing I did not understand was the need for them to completely feel like the world was against them being together when it really wasn't. There were some scenes that decisions made would have turned out in a smoother result not only for the characters but for the audience as well. I had my differences on how they went about their relationship at the latter end of the film.
Overall, it was very interesting and its a kind of scenery and fewer lines movie, it kind of hits like that and I love it. Shoutout to the director of cinematography and the director, I really loved the way it was portrayed at various angles and shots and to Kim Go Eun and Jung Hae In who did absolutely wonderful in this title. If you like the portrayal of a relationship with a coming of age theme this is definitely the movie to watch. WATCH IT!

Kim Go Eun and Jung Hae In's chemistry was insanely good. Their ineractions felt very natural. The whole atmosphere of the movie was actually quite realistic and it was very well directed. Well, with the exception of the time gaps which were very bad. The music though... so many great songs that fit the atmosphere perfectly.
The acting was very good. Jung Hae In is born to play romantic roles. His undenieable charms made me fall in love with him for the 477274th time. Kim Go Eun was surprisingly very good, too. This is the best role of her I've ever seen.
This movie is nothing so special, nothing that spectacular or creative. However, the feeling you get from it is the most important. Lack of communication is one of the biggest problem couples usually face and this movie showed this problem quite well. I recommend it to everyone who want to watch something more light and romantic. This movie will give you butterflies for sure.

The main story was good and melodramatic, even though it started as oddly as it ended. The couple had chemistry and the performances were perfect from both of them. These two helped the film a lot and made the love story intense and dramatic. They had some pretty good moments too, like towards the middle, when they met for the third time.
However, the presentation of the story was messy. The break ups were awkward and there were other misunderstanding that were just blown out of proporsion.
So, six out of ten.

Fluffy, love story.
This is gonna be super duper biased, as Jung Hae In is my favourite actor. This movie gives us just love, a beautiful, super cute love story. The plot is not complicated, we go through it with no unnecesary drama and just with the right amount of things that let us understand the actions of the main characters. This is a movie to enjoy, a movie that gives us a good moment, but also a lil bit of sadness. Jung Hae In and Kim Go Eun have a lot of chemestry, i really liked their work here. Hope they can work together again another time, I would love to see that.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
This movie really warmed my heart.
I clicked on this movie with absolutely no idea what this is about. I saw Jung Hae In and I was sold. That being said, I absolutely had no expectations for this. I even almost dropped this within the first five minutes because I thought I wasn't feeling any chemistry between the leads but oh man, I was in for a treat. This movie really warmed my heart. The mood and the aesthetic was very nostalgic and the music is just perfect. When "Fix You" by Coldplay started playing in the end, I was just bawling my eyes out because I was just so touched. The actors have the best chemistry I have ever witnessed and it's just made so much impact on me because I didn't expect it. The story does felt a little underwhelming especially the conflict towards the end. It was messy and unnecessary so the ending fell flat but the execution by the actors kinda made up for it for me.
One of my takeaways from this one is how timing is really everything. You could be trying so desperately for something but if it's not yet meant to be, it won't be. That being said, have faith that in time, everything will fall into place.

This is the story of two people, who believe themselves to be broken; who believe that they aren't really worthy of anyone or anything. It's very hard to be in a relationship with someone with this mindset, as it isn't long before they look to the other person to fill the void that they believe exists in their life. The astonishing secret is this: there is no void in anyone's life. And nobody outside of yourself will ever be enough because unless you love yourself first, you will quickly find that you cannot give what you do not have.Hyun-woo is a boy with a very troubled past; a past that he desperately wants to forget and keep from influencing his ability to create a life for himself. There is only one person of whom he dreams of spending a life with; one of the few people he feels that he can trust, and that's Mi-Su.
Mi-Su is a young woman, who also has a troubled past. She can never seem to get her life in order, and she views herself as a loser; a loser due to choices that's she's made in her life that have not brought her the fulfillment she seeks. The only person she feels remotely happy with is Hyun-woo, who shows up at the bakery where she works.
Hyun-woo and Mi-Su are two people who clearly like each other, but can't seem to find a way to connect for more than a fleeting day or so. Over the span of about 11 years, they float in and out of each other's lives, until finally, they are able to reach a more permanent connection.
Mi-Su is someone who has always had a difficult time trusting. This isn't uncommon from someone who's lacking in self-esteem and self-love. Hyun-woo is someone who is trying to keep the past from tainting his relationship with Mi-Su.
People keep secrets for a reason, and they should never feel pressure to reveal something if they do not feel ready. Prying, of course, never ends well. However, keeping a secret from someone can also come back to bite you.
The performances are very good, even if the plot loses a bit of traction in the last 30 minutes or so. Some of the scenes don't make a lot of sense toward the end, but ultimately, the director finds a way to save the story before it falls flat on its face.
I can't help thinking that Hyun-woo and Mi-Su will never be able to have a successful relationship until each of them begins to love themselves. A dysfunctional relationship involving two gloomy people, isn't likely to succeed. Eckhart Tolle wisely points out, "Movies always have those happy endings when the two people get together. However, they never tell you what comes after."
If the writer and director had filled in some of the holes of the movie, it would have been much better. However, this is a very watchable, and mostly enjoyable, film.

Also, and this was understandable considering how less time a movie has vs. a drama, but I felt like the relationship between the main leads just wasn’t developed enough. They had their cute moments, but in terms of depth, every time they reunited, they just smiled at each other and it was a given that they would be together again; the time gaps just didn’t feel like time gaps because they were basically the exact same people with the exact same personalities years later.
I will say I really appreciated the entire vibe/aesthetic of this show — the lack of slow motion, special effects plus the color palette, transition screens, and not overusing OSTs…it all made the entire show feel that much more intimate and realistic.

This movie was okay . I liked the love story . But it was really sad . I felt like the ending was missing something . Did they end up to gather or just friends . They are just looking at each other. I would have liked to see them get married and start a family after everything he went through .He deserves a really happy ending . All in all this drama left me feeling sad .I am a sucker for romance giggles and happy endings . If you like sad shows then this drama is more for you then i .It's not that it was a bad movie . The actors are great . I just feel it could use a better ending . It was really lacking in detail . I hate guessing . I like to see things happen . I dont think I would watch it again . If they added on to the story then i would watch .
