Completed this drama since like 4 years ago though, but rewatching it again recently made me have the urge of writing a review about it. (:
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS DRAMA: Firstly, the casts of course. Both main leads really portray their characters very very very well like in the manga. Ariel Lin could actually act really like a stupid and annoying girl, yet made each and everyone of us love her alot and ache for her whenever she cried, because her crying scenes are always -thumbs up-. Which is why she really deserve this Best Female Lead award in Golden Bells that year.
Secondly, how the characters have grown in every single episode. I really love watching how Zhi Shu change because of Xiang Qin, from a cold guy who just hide his emotions, to a gentle and romantic guy who really pour all his feelings out especially to his wife. I still remember in first few episodes, he is someone who gets annoyed when Xiang Qin tries to stick with him and do some romantic-stupid-stuffs with him, and wowwww the last few episodes, he just became so open with his wife. Not only Zhi Shu, but I can even see how Xiang Qin becoming more and more matured. Yes she may be annoying at times, but I can see the way of her thinking gradually changes, and how she really think of her husband's feelings more.
Thirdly, this drama is just so hilarious and I still can remember how many times I laughed like mad. At the same time, I can remember how many times I cried like hell whenever Xiang Qin cried too. I also love the endless skinship between the two leads which always give me squeals because their skinship is just so natural so real.
WHAT I DISLIKE ABOUT THIS DRAMA: Practically nothing I can say. Well or probably the plot also focus on other characters rather more on main leads too? But I don't really mind though because even the scenes of other characters are also quite interesting too.

Overall, one of the top Taiwanese dramas I have ever watched. You won't regret watching because you know what? You will end up rewatching it again and again and every single scene of the main leads will just give you butterflies because their skinship and chemistry is just so WOW. And and and, if you really love watching dramas with a extremely cold male lead. :D

Great storyline. Each character has a good background story to them. This drama is also educational, making viewers more aware of how serious and common mental illness can be. I have no complaints with the acting and music. My rewatch value is not that high because watching it once is enough for me but it's just slightly higher because of the storyline. The big plus from this drama for me is because of how it is educational as I mentioned earlier.

Holy fistpumping glory, this was even better than I expected it to be. This drama managed to fill 28 episodes with great character development, fantastic action and suspense. I was at the edge of my seat for a lot of it, and even the ending was satisfactory for me.

My Rating: 9.5

In Short: This drama was a really entertaining and suspenseful story of an unconventional hero. I thought after the first few episodes that Kang To was pretty much irredeemable, but the character development and acting was spot on for our complicated hero (and his equally complicated nemesis/bro).

Pros: Joo Won was a revelation in this. He really sold this complicated character and I look forward to seeing him in other things in the future. Also, the 30s is a very interesting era for a historical drama like this. I do not like sageuks very much, but this was right up my alley, with great sets and fabulous fashion.

Cons: Torture. Lots of torture. Some of this was hard to stomach. The female lead was a bit bland at times, but that fit the story well. I was also a bit apprehensive concerning the anti-japanese feel to the drama. Since I am not Korean, I do not carry a grudge against Japan, but I guess it can be compared to Germany in WWII, they sure are portrayed as evil in WWII movies, but I do not consider Germans today to be evil in any way.

Don't lie, people! It could result in a 16-episode drama full of break-ups and make-ups that ultimately could have been avoided with honesty and understanding. Bonus point for Kim Seul Gi, she is fricking fantastic in everything.

My Rating: 7.0

In Short: I somewhat regret watching this drama all the way through. I especially disliked the female lead character and the overall dishonesty of all the main characters. Cuties Yoon Sol and Do Joon Ho was its saving grace.

Pros: The cast was fine, I really like the male leads and the side characters. I liked the flashbacks as a way of getting insight into Tae Ha and Yeo Reum's past, as well as the interview structure.

Cons: This whole plot was built around lies, which annoyed me to no end. I also struggled with Jung Yu Mi's appearance. I don't often dislike the looks of k-drama actresses, but I had serious problems understanding why all these men liked her (character personality was not helping). She looked way too skinny and a little too old in this drama.

This drama handled an interesting and difficult subject matter with great results. I laughed and cried along with these lovable characters, and still listen to the music daily!

My Rating: 9.0

In Short: Gong Hyo Jin never disappoints me, and neither did anyone else involved in this drama. I really liked the unconventional way it handled mental disorders.

Pros: The cast was great, the music was fantastic and the drama was well written and did not have the classic "second leads". I did not miss them!

Cons: Hae Soo's anxiety disorder was a bit too "easily cured" in relation to how big a deal she made of it. It would have made no difference if she had just been a little prickly.

This charming rom-com had me hooked with its great mix of standard tropes and unconventional approaches.

My Rating: 9.0

In Short: I really liked the cold open structure of this show, along with its fun and realistic characters. This drama made me wish Han Groo was the female lead in all dramas.

Pros: I often have trouble relating/sympathizing with female leads in dramas, but Jang Mi completely won me over. The pacing of the drama was also positive aspect for me. I also really liked the complexity of the parents.

Cons: I would have liked a little more depth to our secondary characters. Especially Kang Se Ah lacked depth, because I sincerely doubt that she was meant to be that malicious and nonsensical.

This has got to be the longest shortest baddest drama for me. Only 10 episodes but it felt like it was 20 or more. The first 2 episodes are great and funny then it flopped and the last episodes were just in the -ve. I was chewing nails just watching the ridiculousness and waiting for it to end. I think the cast was the problem. The main guy was not suited for this at all and the girl wasn't that outstanding either.
I think the writer sensed the low ratings and decided to stop there, anyways........
the best part of the show was the two guys best friends. They were so ridiculous with their women theory and they were hilarious too.

Have you ever built a sandcastle at the beach? Perhaps you spent hours under the warm sun, carefully sculpting each fine grain with the precision of an architect. Up came the walls, the keep, the towers; your ambitious fingertips caressed open windows, kissed detail into the facade. When your labors ceased, there stood a work of art (now beautiful, a thing to be admired) where once was but formless sand. At that time, did you know your lovely castle was destined to crumble? That soon, the ocean must exert its endless force and by rolling waves down would come the towers, down the keep, down the walls. Gone again would be your castle, returned to wind-battered shore.

Suna no Utsuwa (Vessel of Sand) spins a tale of unavoidable fate, embodying this sort of transient beauty with dark resonance. We follow pianist Waga Eiryo, a secretive man running from his past…and the cruel destiny he believes might also shape his future. Just when it appears he has shed both, a face from his troubled childhood resurfaces to torment him once again. One moment lost to passion and a sharp shove is all it takes—in rush the waves ready to destroy his new life. So begins our tale of murder and mystery, tragedy and deception, of happiness which crumbles like so much sand.

This series will haunt me for a long time to come. Understated as it is, Suna no Utsuwa nonetheless delivers an elegant atmosphere with serious impact. Each of its elements folds together with an artistic flourish that must be marveled at. In all my experience with Asian television, no other example has so impressed me with its visual beauty—what stunning cinematography and evocative scene composition! Time has not diminished one bit of the vibrant aesthetic. All one could further wish for are stirring themes, unique plots, and powerful performances; here one receives all three and more besides.

Our mystery is unveiled via a masterful combination of fragile character interactions and clever police investigation. Do not expect any resemblance to your regular detective drama. As powerfully constructed as the puzzle is, this is not a crime series but a character study. No guessing remains to be done; viewers are meant to witness the desperate battle of a man against fate. Who is Waga Eiryo and why? I loved how the two story aspects were tied together, often serving to create parallels between pianist and detective. One example may be seen in the counterpoint between interrogation sessions and those featuring musical composition/performance sequences. Please also note the tremendous ending undertaken over two episodes. The result left me trembling with so much emotion it was difficult to properly compile this review.

An idol was asked to play Waga Eiryo: SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro. Could anyone have better portrayed this extremely complex figure? Not on your life. Nakai-san’s excellence begins with the eyes; his are large and dark with suspicion, the sort which might remind one of a hunted animal. For the most part Waga sinks beneath an icy facade, a disdainful and haughty mask. But as Suna no Utsuwa continues, this mask chips away piece by piece. We are made confidants of his vulnerability and fear, tenderness and anguish. Undoubtedly the role of a lifetime, Nakai strikes every chord without stumbling. Next is incomparable Ken Watanabe, an utter gift to the small screen. He presents Imanishi with gentle normalcy, a believable brilliance stemming from hard work and consideration rather than trumped up genius. If only we could see such effortless acting in dramas more often! Let us not forget the wonderful Matsuyuki Yasuko either. Her Naruse is the clinch-pin of fate for Waga Eiryo, and few actresses could sell it as well as she did. No matter what the role, Matsuyuki-san’s passionate beauty and exquisite expressions must always be appreciated.

But above all else, music is where Suna no Utsuwa most excels. Just as it offers visual delights, this drama must be nothing if not pure auditory bliss. Not one track has been left awkward or misplaced by the passage of years. Some masterful touch seems laid on the compositions, which are so crucial in elevating scenes and construction of emotional atmosphere. Most memorable must be what is represented as Waga Eiryo’s devastating magnum opus, “Shukumei,” an embodiment of the fate he longs to escape. Also exceptional is the romantic vocal theme in “Yasashii Kisu no Shite (Kiss Me Gently)” provided by Dreams Come True. The first to catch my ear, however, is the choral piece played only at pivotal moments; if you want goose bumps, this one should do the trick.

WHIB is not about love triangle like it seems on the surface. In fact it's not about love at all, it's about obsession over money and how that screws people up. It's not the most typical drama out there and it will make you depressed. But I feel like it really hits the nail in criticizing Korean society and explains why so many people just can't be happy.

Jae Min feels like In Wook is taking all his women.
In Wook feels like Jae Min is getting his women.
Young Joo feels like Soo Jung is taking all her men.
Soo Jung? She just has to choose but is having a hard time.
But choose between what?

And so the show goes on in small circles, again and again and again. The force what drives life and moves the world is money and it dictates the laws of darkness. There is no love, no happiness, nothing meaningful in money but everyone needs it. One doesn't have it, second has too much and third experienced both situations. No one became happy. That's life folks.

The whole drama is boring and drags on like your feet after walking 100 miles but... BUT! The beauty of the show comes to light after you have finished it! This dark show is not to be taken too lightly, you have to analyze everything and you will understand the beauty within!

The cast is wonderful and acting super good. The main girl, of course, super annoying. She is miserable but at the same time hateful. Then there is Young-joo the nasty girl. I liked her pretty much. She is bad and desperate but well... everything makes sense in the end.

I am sure many people will find this drama hard to like and easy to loathe but give it a chance and dive into it as deep as possible. This one show is deep and needs devotion, you won't get anything out of it without analyzing the psychology behind every action. It's going to be a depressing and miserable ride but that's what life is about sometimes.

What happened in Bali?
Happiness.

Complaints? Well, backgrounds of some characters could have been explained better and there were some questions left unanswered. And there could have been less episodes. And it's a bit unsatisfying that instead of getting over their problems these people... well... yeah.

This Drama is one I was really hoping to watch and I was so disappointed. I really love Park Se Young as an actress so I watched this for her. The story started out really well but episodes along the way just got more plain. I felt like I have seen this done before in many other kdramas. The main couple was a snore and I got more interested in the minor couples than them. The cast was spot on I just wish the story wasn't so predictable Kdrama! I have seen this all dont before. I found myself skipping parts because of how boring it is. There were no intense main villains or cliff hangers. The ending was so rushed that I just didn't like it at all.

I only cried like a few times. This drama is not worth the 40 episodes even for Hongbin of Vixx. Park Se Young did a great job but I needed more angst between the main couple not just like 3 episodes. If you are a fan of her you should watch it other than that I wouldn't spend my time.

"There are two kinds of happiness in the world. One is a happiness that you realize after the fact. The other is a happiness that you feel in the moment. The happiness in the moment is so rare that they say you can live your whole life on the light that shines from remembering it. I think we’ll go on remembering this moment, today, like that kind of happiness…that we can remember for the rest of our lives, the moment when we shined."
- Jin Gook

This drama is perfect. PERFECT! I can't even explain the happiness and joy I feel from watching this. Dream High was my absolutely #1 favorite Korean drama of all time, and it's still one of my favorites. It's one of my favorites of any drama, period. Dream High restored my hope in kdramas. I never knew I could feel this way about a kdrama. I could watch this a million times over and not get sick of it.

I loved Dream High from beginning to end. All throughout this was a perfect drama to me. From the cast to the characters, to the setting, to the plot, everything is amazing and it has an excellent message. This is a very fun, endearing, inspiring drama. You understand each characters motivations. For example, Hye Mi, the main character, is my absolute favorite, but I could see how ppl wouldn't like this character at first. She comes across as entitled, ungrateful, disloyal, and full of herself. But I loved her from the get go, from the minute I saw her. Hye Mi is a character who is very talented and had a dream of going to Juliard. Because of financial circumstances involving her father, she was forced into attending an art school in Korea. She had a very superior attitude, thought she was above that kind of education, but through her teachers and friends, she evolved as a person and developed a new dream. Oh, how I just love everything about this drama. Hye Mi is just one of six students this drama focuses on (but she's my favorite). There's Jin Gook, Sam Dong (also my favorite), Pil Suk, Jason, and Baek Hee. All of them have there own trials and tribulations to overcome. A pendant is passed around amongst them, and it's a sort of good luck charm. Whoever has the pendant always overcomes their troubles. There are so many themes and intertwining story lines and plot points in this drama, I don't think I'll have time to name them all, but I will focus in on the biggest and most important one to me. There are many reasons this drama was called Dream High, but I like to believe it's a message. Dream high, don't be afraid to wish for something that seems impossible to obtain. Dream high, the sky is the limit. Dream high, if you want it bad enough u can get it. Just dream high. Really, thts the least you can do, because if your dreams have limitations, then wats the point of it being a dream. Dreams shouldn't have limitations, they should be limitless. And this drama focuses on these six students realizing their dreams, and I honestly loved every second of it. If you love kpop then you'll definitely enjoy this. I delved deeper into kpop because of this drama.

Dream High just gives me that warm feeling an excellent drama should give you. It makes me feel happy, it makes me smile. It makes me want to dream higher, and reach for those dreams. And I fell in love with Kim Soo Hyun. He has to be the best crier I've seen in any drama. And Suzy is gorgeous! Plus she has an amazing voice. I love the whole cast, even the side characters. And I finally know wat JYP looks like lol. Anyways, I highly recommend this drama. How can't I when it makes me feel so good. I give Dream High a 10 all around. This is what I call PERFECTION!

That quote that I put at the beginning of my review was said by one of the characters in this drama, and it's so beautiful and true. I had to add it to my review so everyone could see what kind of deep messages this drama has. Dream High is actually pretty smart and insightful, and I so appreciate that.

I originally planned watching this drama at a later date, but I actually just finished it last night, and now I'm here with my review.

Kim Soo Hyun is the reason I watched this drama, but Jeon Ji Hyeon is the reason I stayed. Actually, the whole cast was fantastic, I just really really loved Jeon Ji Hyeon's character. I didn't realize before, but after looking the actress up, I discovered that both her and Kim Soo Hyun were in The Thieves (more reason to love them)!

Anyways, on with my review. You all read the plot summary already. Honestly, I thought this drama was gonna be lame, but it was actually quite enjoyable. It's about this alien thts been on earth for 400yrs, and is returning to his home planet in three months time, but ends up falling in love with a human. You'll witness the process of him falling for her, and it's actually really cute. But I'll admit, I was a little annoyed at this drama. I understood Min Joon's motivations (the alien), but I want to scream out of frustration every time he rejected Song Yi (the human). I totally understood Song Yi's frustration with him, like he tells her he doesn't want her, and then won't leave her alone. Song Yi is just fantastic throughout. And I really really really loved the guy that's in love with her, Lee Hui Kyung. I really hated his brother tho, but then again, who didn't. And the scenes when he's performing his powers/abilities were really cool. I really loved those parts, they're possibly my favorite parts in the whole drama.

Min Joon's background story is so boring tho. Thts why I didn't rate this drama higher tbh. It was really stupid, and I just did not care. I don't want to spoil anything, so all I'll say is that 400yrs ago, when Min Joon first came to earth, he saved a girl that looked just like Song Yi. Most boring part for sure. There were many other minor annoyances, but I can't list them because it would definitely spoil this drama, but like I said, they're minor.

I wouldn't say I loved this drama, but I did like it a lot. First of all, Kim Soo Hyun is my baby and I love him to pieces and he is the best crier in all of Korea okay. He is the best, period. Second, if you watched Dream High, there's a treat for you in this drama! I'm not gonna say what it is, because it's so much better as a surprise, but all I know is that I screamed in delight and it made me love the drama more. Thirdly, the cast is wonderful, especially the main actress. I've become a fan of hers. I wouldn't rewatch this drama anytime soon, but I did marathon it. It's engaging, and it's entertaining, and yea I guess I'd recommend this drama if you're looking for a romance drama. Pretty good in my book.

I was absolutely addicted to this show for the first half. A charming and funny watch for those who can handle a little bit of unnecessary angst along the way.

My rating: 9.0

In Short: The first half of this drama was absolutely hysterical. As soon as the angst hit, the drama was a bit more middling, but still enjoyable. The Jang-couple chemistry was great.

Pros: A great cast, and a wonderful set of side characters. I particularly enjoyed Mi Young's mom, Secretary Tak and Dragon. I also quite liked the music.

Cons: Could have been trimmed down to 16 episodes with great effect. The noble idiocy was a bit too drawn out.

An easy watch with a winning cast, Emergency couple was a bit long, but still enjoyable in the end.

My Rating: 8.5

In Short: I really enjoyed this drama. For me, Song Ji Hyo makes a winning heroine, and I was glad to see the main characters grow throughout the drama. Dramalands most adorable baby warrants extra points.

Pros: It felt like they took medicine as a discipline seriously. The main couple were cute, even though I'm thoroughly against reuniting exes. Kang Gary cameo Daebak!

Cons: The exes reunite trope is uncomfortable for me. Also, the side characters could have been a little cuter/funnier to make this more of a comedy.

First Thai drama I've watched and I so love it! I'm a certified Korean drama lover, so it's hard for me to watch dramas with a different language (though I'm not Korean), but I gave this a try and it's worth it! I can't believe I got so hook watching this that I ended up staying late at night just to finish 4-5 episodes (for a person who can only watch dramas at night).

For a rom-com lover like me, this drama's a big hit. I really love Aom and Mike's chemistry. Their acting seems real for me. My heart's melting every time there's a sweet scene coming. These two are just perfect for each other. #AoMike is LOVE and I'm looking forward for the future projects of these two.

As for the story, there's not much difference from the original. But if I were to choose between the two, I'll go for this version. I don't know. Maybe because it has much lighter view of the story. You'll laugh when there's a funny scene, you'll cry when there's a sad scene, and you'll melt when there's a romantic scene.
