First, if you are under the age of 16, do NOT watch this movie. Due to numerous shocking scenes, this is not a movie that should be seen by a younger audience. I know that a lot of you might want to watch this movie because you really liked Gong Yoo's acting in previous dramas, but if you are 15 or younger, this movie might have a greater impact on you than you might think.
You've been warned.

Such a movie is impossible to rate. It's really hard to make the difference between the true story that captivates and shocks us, and the form, the way it is told, the movie. Personnally, on my MDL list, it is still rated N/A.

Story...well there is no story, those are facts. Those facts are, of course, adapted and the way this movie deliver that adaptation to us is outstanding. The dark atmosphere, the suspens that keeps us on edge, and the flashbacks system that makes things so vivid, everything is done to captivate the audience.

Thanks to all the members of the cast (who did an amazing job portraying their characters, especially the children and Gong Yoo...well Gong Yoo was simply exceptional) you will be trapped into this movie from its very first minute to the last. You will feel horror and despair as well little pieces of moved joy as you see the events happening as if you were there.

The music isn't a beautiful melody designed to make you cry every times you hear it, but it will make you feel calm, tense, or angry. It's really a part of the movie.

Rewatch value...honestly, it would be torture to me to rewatch this, but I'll still do it, because this movie is amazing and the acting astonishing. But I won't say it was beautiful. Although this movie is a piece of art, I'd feel sick to call it beautiful.

Since he got the main part, let's talk about Gong Yoo in this movie. His Kang In Ho is true, sincere, so kind and pure in front of all the horror happening before his eyes that it is impossible not to be moved by him. Gong Woo is definitly a top actor and I can't wait to see what he will do next.

But there is something bothering me about this movie, like all movies involving young actors.Even though this is all acting, I wonder how those children felt, when they were shooting some scenes...sometimes, I felt this movie was going too far...but this is only my point of view...

I know that my review is a little dark, but I just saw Crucible, and this movie is dark.

Story- heartwarming and inspriring. Basically there to send a message to the audience about not giving up on your dreams. There is a little romance going on with a cute ending.

Acting/Cast-First, I have to say I loved Kim Tae Hee in this. She really was believable as a Jockey. She had to play tough but still kept the pretty. I liked the male lead and they had a good chemistry for what thier relationship in the movie called for(still couldnt help picturing Song Sung Hyun in this role though as its my dream for him and KTH to do every movie/drama together from now on lol). I also wanted to mention the child actress. She was so good in her dramatic scenes and so cute to watch.

Music- The score was lovely. There was an original song that was kind of catchy and it sounded like it was KTH singing it.

Rewatch- This is a movie that can easily be watched again however since I didnt love the male lead Id probably wait a few years.

Overall this was an enjoyable watch.

This drama is an extremely emotional one, so those looking for a lighthearted romance should avoid it. I would definitely file this drama under tragedy, so keep a box of tissues close. By the end of the first episode, I knew this drama would not hold back.

The story involves longing, betrayal, revenge, secrets, family ties, and ill-fated love. The cast does a good job of balancing really heavy scenes with funny, and sweeter scenes.

Im Su Jung was so good as naive Eun Chae, that she made some of the more over the top moments completely believable. The same can be said for the rest of the cast, including Lee Hye Young's character who I loved to hate, and showed unexpected depth.

My absolute favorite was So Ji Sub. He really played his character brilliantly. He did so much more than just cry, yell, and laugh on cue. As Moo Hyuk, he showed so many complicated emotions, and I could never predict how Moo Hyuk would react. During moments in the drama that started to feel a little repetitive, he always pulled me back in. The fact that he is visually appealing didn't hurt either.

The plot does have the privileged vs the poor, and love triangles/squares, which is expected in most dramas, without following the same path. Every time I felt the story becoming predictable, a new revelation would catch me by surprise. I also could not predict how it would all end, which was refreshing.

Some of the down sides to this drama, to me, was the laughably bad english (so distracting), Yoon's terrible singing (also distracting, since he was supposed to be a pop idol), and showing way too many flashbacks. Later episodes seemed to rely on flashbacks to fill up the time. Some scenes were repeated so often that I no longer needed subtitles to understand them. Still, I never felt like dropping this drama after becoming so invested in the characters, and what would happen to them.

I think the positives heavily outweigh the negatives. So Ji Sub alone would make me recommend it. The soundtrack was good, and included some random songs like Billy Joel's "The Stranger" (which was a perfect fit). I don't know if I can stand emotionally to rewatch the entire drama, but It's so good that I might.

This drama covers the first part of the Holyland japanese manga. I really enjoyed the manga and i must say the drama was fairly well done. The fighting scenes were very dynamic and well put together.
As the manga did the drama also tries to educate about very basic fighting moves and tends to keep the fights on the realistic side. It isnt about flashy moves. It follows the story of a kid who is trying to find himself in a world where all he has every recieved was pain.
The only weak part of the series was the occasional bad acting/overacting and few bad scenes. Also they kept the whole thing very short(13 episodes, around 24 minutes each) and i would have prefered if they had built the story up a bit better. They relied too much on the manga, and sometimes you just have to take a different approach to different kinds of mediums.
Overall i would say it was enjoyable.

This is my favorite drama of all time here why: The acting was on point the main girl had me dieing in my seat It also had a good lesson about life ,and the plot was creative and the ending was great.

I've watched this again ,and again yet still feel it was amazing i love the way i could root for the main character even though her own faults.

Watch this drama if your looking for a good easygoing old school drama.

When I read the summary for Yeosu, I really didn’t get much from it so I went into thinking this was going to be a romance…

The story was very very simple and not a lot happens. The main plot in this is the “couple” traveling together to find the house/loved one of the person who’s ashes they are carrying around the entire movie. You think by the end the main characters are going to come together romantically and maybe raise the child together or something but yeah the ending just didn’t happen that way. In fact nothing really happens in the end at all but I’m not surprised because nothing happened during the movie either. Still, I enjoyed watching the leads interact and I was glad they were able to find some sort of comfort in each other during the time they were traveling together. The score was nice but not memorable. I really liked the leads but I’m not sure if I’d watch this again. Overall I’m not mad I watched this but am a little disappointed in the story. If you have a lot of patience and need something to watch I’d say try it.

I originally watched this because of Playful Kiss, hoping to compare the dramas. I am a huge fan of Playful Kiss, but after watching It Started With A Kiss, it surpasses Playful Kiss. First off, the storyline may be close to the same, but ISWAK really goes into depth with the story and the feelings of the characters. ISWAK develops characters and how they handle certain situations, and unlike Playful Kiss' Baek Sung Jo, the audience can really understand the main character's feelings. I would highly recommend watching It Started With A Kiss if you are wanting something that is witty, funny, and romantic, and expect a lot more romance in the sequel. There shouldn't be any disappointment by the time you've seen the whole entire drama. :)

This is a very deep movie, not everyone will enjoy it. The pace is realtively slow and the atmosphere takes a huge role in the storytelling. It revolves around one of the main concerns of our society. Many people find dreams and have hopes for their lives, but there are those without anything. Just drifting along, nothing to work towards, nothing to do. How do these kids deal with the emptiness that their life is? Can they find something to hold on to? And when do they reach the point where living becomes too much effort?
Overall i feel like the movie is very artistic and accomplishes what it is set out to.

Finally! I watched Only You with high expectations and mostly...I wasn't disappointed.

The acting and chemistry between So Ji Sub and Han Hye Joo are what make this movie great. It's no secret I am a huge fan of So Ji Sub and I am very glad to see him do such a great job as Cheol Min ~ a man with a violent past who is struggling to rise above, better himself and repent the mistakes of his past. But I couldn't give this movie a higher score than 8.

Only You actually has a really great story set up: The rough, bad boy boxer unexpectedly meets a spunky, upbeat, innocent and mostly blind girl and they fall madly in love. Angst ensues when he tries to raise the money for an operation for her sight. I was thrilled watching the development of their romance. The way this movie played out would have gotten a higher score from me if they wouldn't have added the recycled element of connecting fates. The totally over used plot device of fate tying two lovers together is what drops the overall score for me. Time and again I see this scenario used in Korean movies and dramas and it gets old.

But the scenes between the lovers are filled with sweetness, sizzling chemistry, humor and heart. So Ji Sub is an extremely emotive actor who portrays every emotion in his eyes, expression and body language. He's just plain good. Call me a fan girl if you will but the man is talented. Han Hye Joo is also a favorite. I really liked her in Postman to Heaven and even more in Only You. She's one to watch for I think. I'd really like to see her in a drama again.

All the technical elements are there. Gritty, harsh lighting and gloomy settings and set design are used for his world and warmer light and more lovely settings are used for her world. When they are together everything is brighter. A nice touch by the cinematographer.

The music was very nice. Memorable in the opening sequence, in the love theme and the closing credits. I gave it a 9.

The re-watch value I give a 7 because in my case, the strength of my liking for the lead actor will have me watching this again. Others may feel differently.

Only you is a typical love story: touching, filled with angst but also includes a lot of light moments as well. I recommend it highly for all of us romantics out there.

WARNING : Although it's supposed to be an adaptation, there is nearly nothing in common with either the manga or the anime.
BUT THIS IS A DRAMA YOU MUST WATCH!!!

What's in this drama? Suspens, action, love, sometimes a bit of humour... In short, a great plot! All along, I kept wondering how Lee Yoon Sung would take revenge for his father's death.

Well, you might find it strange I didn't rate the story 10/10. Actually, there are two minor things I didn't like.
1°) I tought some love / sentimental scenes were way too long.
2°) As for Nana, I've got nothing against the actress but the character sometimes seemed too frail to be a Blue House bodyguard. I know City Hunter is supposed to be the best of the best but the gap between them was just too big.

I expected this to be a typical teen romance movie, but it stole my heart. The story tricked me until the very end. I loved every bit of it.

You get a double story in the end with her and her mother's love story. This certainly is the perfect mix of gushy romance with coming of age.

Much MUCH better than Romeo and Juliet by far. It's more satisfying than sad at the end and worth the watch! Perfect for a girl's night. My friends dread subtitles but they had nothing to complain about when it was over.

Although, I give the music a nine because I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to hear it.

I'm a sucker for an underdog. The story focuses half on her fitting in and half on her love life.

The character building was wonderful as she realizes that she wants to be true to herself and be a female laborer. Her being at a nearly all male school adds the laughs, but it's more heartwarming than anything else. While this hit a sweet spot with me because I miss the days that I spent in machine shops building robots, there wasn't much technical info to absorb.

As a fan of Skip Beat up to date on the manga and having watched the anime adaptation. I can honestly say this holds true to the original.

This is a major plus. The underdog plot version where you find yourself rooting with her to kick ass and vanquish her enemies. Basic heartwarming fluff, you probably won't think much afterwards but you will have laughed until your face hurts.

You can watch it for the romance because of the gorgeous men, but don't expect too much because Kyoko is like Sunako from Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. She actually says things like "bright" and doubts Ren's every move.

The comedy is over the top most of the time with the chicken suit and her mini-Kyoko spirits threatening the other characters and the eccentric director (favorite scene is the 2-person camel suit and he was riding it!! which has no affect on the plot but just because they can), but I dare you to not crack a smile at it. Although, they seem to have made Yashiro (Ren's Manager) into a side-character which is a loss because he is the one decipher what Ren is thinking and forces him and Kyoko to do something about it. I miss his knowing smirk. :(

The drama adaptation is almost the same as the anime. Which leads me to rank it slightly less, because the manga is still unfinished so it'll be hard to end it unless they alter the story which would ruin it a bit since our love interests are all emotionally stunted.

The actors are doing a good job considering SiWon and DongHae are doing it in another language and dubbed. Ivy can seem a bit much but that's what Kyoko is meant to be.

The music is catchy performed by SuJu. It fits with the lightheartedness of the comedy.

Honestly, I fell in love first with the opening sequence, the drama is really well shot. They got all of the details perfect considering the original setting is Japan.

I'll probably end up re-watching this because the story is just so entertaining.

Watch at your own risk. A relentlessly tragic but still syrupy sweet story about a older girl still working toward her dreams. Although I skipped a few episodes, and fast forwarded a lot, I still think that this drama made some very valid points in relation to age, viability and attractiveness. Although I wouldn’t really recommend it, it was still a decent watch.
What I did like: The male leads were awesome. Yes Choi Daniel is annoying at first, but then you love him, then you hate him again. Ryu Jin was the perfect second male lead. Although you know how its gonna end, he puts up a good fight and backs out at the right time. I really liked the premise this drama started with episodes 1-8, I also loved how skilled the female lead was.
What I didn’t like: (there is a lot more of this) Idk if watching too many of her Cdramas turned me but it was so hard watching Jang NaRa with that blank stare on her face in a romantically charged Kdrama. I think she was trying to look naive but it wasn’t working, and her chemistry with all the male leads seemed more suited for a sister. (I bet kissing scenes were painful) I blame the writers for a lot of the problems with the drama and not Jang NaRa. The story began great: she’s struggling supporting her family, they have no father and a bratty little sister, but then the tragedy begins. After ep 6 I couldn’t stand watching because of how tragic the character’s life was becoming. It was almost as if the writers needed to beat the point into the watcher that Lee SoYoung was someone to pity. Despite her age, Lee SoYoung was so naive it was like the character was introduced to the real world when we started watching. I took it as SoYoung knew nothing about human relationships before the drama began and that made it more bearable for me. Beware of the romance it has all the sugary sweetness of two middle schoolers falling in love. (making me want to hurl a few times) I have no idea how this went on for 20 episodes! the love interests were set up in episode 2 and the enemies were on the move in around episode 3 or 4.
Every character aside for the main leads, was out for themselves (including the cute kid) making you not want to care about anyone. Its really hard to watch a drama where the sister, mother, father, and all the coworkers are evil. I can only root for characters when I can see hope for them, and I didn’t see hope for SoYoung. Lucky for us the writers took the focus off of her having a baby face despite her age and turned this into a family drama about halfway through. So watch at your own risk, or if you like to see the same situation over and over and over and over again.

I realy liked this drama, sure the story might be a little plain - boy and girl that are best freind, the boy loves the girl and...
but even though you can find unique parts within the story that just make it worthwhile and truely enjoyable, fore me those parts were most of the story.
the drama is realistic(in a good way), fun and romantic.the soundtrack is more than amazing.the acting is perfect (In my opinion)and the combination of ariel-lin and chen-bolin is great. Its definitely a good one and you shuld watch it.There is without a doubt
something special about this drama! =]
