The plot... I too, as many others, love the first half of the story more up to like episode 11? but the later half isn't bad either. It just has less happening. Some people say it dragged on and maybe it did, but i didn't really pay attention since i was so in love with everything else in it.
The plot had wonderful details that really showed different sides of the characters. Like Eun Jo; She is basically the evil stepsister and if this story was from another point of view, she would be seen as a complete bitch but cause the plot allows you to understand Eun Jo and all the other characters, and it seems much more realistic. No human is perfect and everyone has a bad side and it depends on how you see it who is the villain and who is the hero/in. And i feel like this drama portrayed that pretty perfectly.
I LOVED the acting. After watching this Moon Geun Yong became one of my favorite actresses of all time. The other actors were all great too, there's really nothing i complain about. And the acting really completed the plot and I got into the story with it. Every time Moon Geun Yong cried I cried with her. If im ever feeling sad and just wanna cry, I rewatch the sad scenes of CS and cry my heart out.
I really liked the music too, i love listening to the ost and remembering this drama. I felt that the music fit the scenes really well
The rewatch value.. hmmm... I feel like there are parts that are really worth rewatching, and then some parts are parts that were necessary the first time but now that you know the plot you don't really need them anymore, but since i dont usually rewatch dramas anyways i think me watching even some parts of this means its really good :) I've already rewatched some episodes like 5 times when i usually only watch them once or twice...
Oveall I gave it a 9 but i wanted to give a 10. It's really a favorite of mine and the first serious (and second ever) k-drama i watched. I think it's best suited for people who can focus on dramas well xD and for people who like sad dramas (you might need tissues!)
And also for people who can see the bigger picture and understand the characters... It made me kinda sad when i read comments that said "How can Eun Jo be so cold?" when all the time i had been thinking "Poor Eun Jo, no one understands you but Ki Hoon".
But still I recommend this drama for everyone to watch :) If it ever seems confusing i'm happy to help ;)

from the story value i gave the rating of 10, well it's the typical hero plot and it's not new were the protagonist started as an antagonist, i knew i've watch something like this before. but because im a fan of old things, like watching jang geum, dong yi and the likes so i gave this 10, and i am very curious on what is life of koreans during japanese occupation, since in my country we had been occupied by the japanese too until we are saved by the americans during those times, so i am very curious to know too how is it for the koreans.
for the actors who played the role, i am mainly focusing my attention to the lead roles like joo won and the girl mok dan, can't remember here real name, shunji's brother and shunji. joo won's acting in my opinion is superb, the way he acts as the bad guy during episode 1 made me hate him soo much that i actually had goosebumps on that particular scene, where he was on a horse telling orders from the midgets to face the other way and draw their swords cause the joseon people won't grieve the death of that prominent person. he can actually act people seriously. mok dan, is she a new actress? i don't know but i have this feeling that her acting is lacking somewhere, her facial expression for me is lacking. same goes to shunji, and he looks like that japanese mc. but for shunji's brother i like him i like how he acts the baddest, and his facial expression the way he lift his eye brow make me want to puch him that much, his stupid ego and all. and tsk tsk i forgot kang to's brother, how can i forget him, his an old actor right so no wonder he portray's the role very well, but since im not really a fan of his, im kind a like don't like him that much, he made kang to's life miserable, that's my opinion only.
im sorry i can't focus on the music yet, so i gave it 8.
for the rewatchable, im not a fan of repeating, so i don't want to repeat it again. it's the kind of story u woundn't want to repeat because it's full of sorrow.
over all i love it, so i gave it 10. ^^
it's 9 episodes so it's still far, my opinions might change in the future...

Story- The plot was simple/light in the beginning with life themes you come across everyday ( one night stands, unwedded pregancy, unwanted marraige). It wasn't really as entertaining as I would have liked it to have been (I dislike former gf/bf plot devices)but the wholesomeness of the latter half(introduction of older Shin Bi) and the added sickness plotpoint towards the last quarter kept me watching. I feel like the reason i wasn't completely in to the story in the beginning might have been the pacing? Oh and the ending was kind of rushed but better than I expected.
Acting/Cast- Eugene was really good. I liked that her character was cheerful, independent (when she had Shin Bi) and she was strong. Kim Jae Won was perfect as always and he had a very natural chemistry with Eugene. Both actors had a good parent chemistry with the lovely child actress who played Shin Bi. They all made a believable family.
Music- I liked it and it fit the scenes well.
Rewatch- I wouldn't mind watching this in a couple years.
Overall Wonderful Life offers life lessons and its just a very warm/wholesome family drama.

Story- The first half of the drama deals with happenings in the character’s younger adult life. This includes the first meeting between Ho Jung & Kyo in (in high school) and also Ho Jun’s many love conquests( about 4). How is that possible in only a span of 8 episodes? Well there’s quite a few time jumps. I liked it cause kept the drama from being boring in the beginning. Then the second half of the drama focuses more on the quarrels/relationship (friendship to romantic) of Ho Jung/ Kyo In and also the struggles Ho Jae ( female lea’s brother) and Su Ji (female lead’s BFF) have trying to convince their parents they want to get married. This was actually my favorite part of the plot because it was so much fun watching them go from Noona/Doonsang friendship to awkward/odd romantic pairing. I didn’t really care for the romance between Ho Jung & Kyo-in cause the writers kind of made it repetitive and kind of frustratingly uninteresting? The ending was amazing for Ho-Jae/Su-ji couple while it was kind of lackluster for Ho-Jung/Kyo-in couple.
Acting/Cast-You know I’ve come across Chae Rim twice and never really noticed how good of an actor she is. Oddly enough I really took notice of her in this even though this is one of her older dramas. I liked her acting style and even though her character was kind of annoying in her wishy-washiness, she made her character come off as cute/likable.
So Ji Sub is an actor I just can’t seem to like no matter how many dramas I’ve seen of his. It does seem like he has gotten a little better with his newer dramas but yeah his subdued acting/lack of facial movements is really noticeable in this one. Luckily he had an okay chemistry with Chae Rim and also his character was a nice one/likable.
My favorite actors in this was actually Kwon Sang Woo (stole the show from SJS) and Lee Eui Jung (played his romantic partner). Their characters were total opposites (one a nerd, one a model) and yet they made their relationship completely believable. They played my favorite characters and kept me watching.
Music- It wasn’t really memorable but it wasn’t distracting which I appreciated.
Rewatch- I’d only watch this again to watch Ho-Jae/Su Ji couple.
Overall- Not boring and just a very realistic older drama.

The acting was the best part of the show, because you could really sympathise with the characters and get into the emmotions (this drama had moments that made me cry and I don't cry too easy for tv/movies). The music for this drama was so/so -while I liked the songs they just were overused IMO. Rewatch value is poor just because although I thought the drama was ok and would maybe rewatch the funny parts, I'm not sure I would rewatch the whole thing again.
You may like this drama if you like shining inheritance, glass shoes, romantic princess, and other similarly plotted dramas.

"Mishil. Were it not for you, I might have not made anything out of myself. I salute Mishil and her Legacy."--Queen Seon Duk (1st queen of Silla).... and I salute Ko Hyun Jung"s mesmerizing and unforgettable portrayal of the brilliant, yet evil Mishil.
The glorious cinematography, subterfuge/suspenseful storyline and astute casting combined to present an intriguingly rich historical. All the characters were very well developed, especially the devastatingly formidable Mishil (she dominates the screen) and the powerfully irrepressible Bi Dam. Personal favorites: Munno, Alcheon, Jilsuk, Wolya, and Chunmung. So if you're entertained by court intrigue, romance, turmoil, power struggles etc., you'll enjoy the time spent w/ QSD.

But as it progresses you understand what's going on and why things are going on and why things happen.
It was nice having scenes that had a lack of music, to show realism, for example the long take of them riding the bikes scene; with no soundtrack or music to it, because that's what actually happens in life.
And something's happened that you can't explain but could completely understand and relate to and almost agree with.
The prison scene was so captivating.
The great thing about this movie is that it isn't the normal 'hollywood action packed romance characters are amazing and gorgeous (well to me they were gorgeous xD)' type of movie. It was a movie with depth, although it does not seem like that to begin with, you understand it as the movie progresses.
The movie didn't flow, it wasn't what you would call the 'interesting' and 'eventful' movie that people these days are used to which was a nice change and gave a new life to films.
The characters all had flaws and it was such a sense of realism that you couldn't help not relating to them and you understood them and why things happened.
The actors: Matsuda Shota - AMAZING! But he's always been a solid actor and his acting does not fail in this. His performance was amazing!
Kora Kengo - I definitely want to see him act again. First time I've seen him act and I was impressed with how he portrayed the character and took it on board.
Ando Sakura - You may recognise her from Love Exposure. She acts great in this and may have improved from LE! I like how she took this role and I like how she played her character.
Ending song is beautiful too I think ^^
Turned out to be a pretty damn good film!

I started watching this because after seeing Kim Hyun Joong in Boys Before Flowers I was curious about what he'd be like in other shows. I think I like him a lot better in this. He's a lot less stiff and he smiles more (which makes him even better looking than normal... just wish they had skipped the perm he has in the middle ^_^). I also really liked Jung So Min as Oh Ha Ni. She had great chemistry with her leading man and managed to play the part without getting to the annoying point.
I also liked most of the supporting cast. Ha Ni's friends were great. Joon Gu annoyed me at first but got better as the show went on. The parents were a bit over the top at times, but the cute moments made up for it. Seung Jo's little brother was great. And I LOVED the band Bye Bye Sea as Joon Gu's posse. Awesome!
Even though the storyline was kinda cheesy and predictable, it was done in an interesting, cute, and funny way. I loved all the little subtle moments with Seung Jo letting his guard down and showing how much he liked Ha Ni. Overall, a really great show! ^_^

The love in the story was amazing. I wish I could have such a love. Eventhough it had it's sad moments, the beginning of the drama, with them as young teenagers who fall in love. Sigh. Just so sweet. Makes you feel all warm inside.
I initially wanted to watch the drama because of *Dream High's Kim Sam Soon* Kim Soo Hyun, but eventually I started to admire the acting of Jung Il Woo. He was so good! Believable and sincere. I have to say that Han Gan In was the least impressive, but she wasn't bad either.
The story was refreshing, but then, I hadn't watched a lot of period drama's beforehand so I did not know what to expect. I just loved the whole 'first love even after death' concept and I also cried a lot during the sad parts. There wasn't really any major clichés in the story, which was good. However, the whole brother-relationship between the King and the Prince could have been much better.
The Music was FANTASTIC! It was so incredibly beautiful. It set the whole mood to the story and you could actually tear up from it. 10 out of 10 !
The whole Drama did not dissapoint. I have never watched a drama in one go until now. I just sat there with my laptop for 20 hours and kept watching. Really an amazing drama. (do nog let my scores frighten you, because too high a scores can give a false image)
Watch it. Just watch it.

I absolutely loved it. It was a re-watch for me. I'm not much of a re-watch anything person, but this drama was totally worth it.
The first time I watched this drama I was too new to the Korean Drama world. Even though I liked it, I felt that there were too many things that I did not understand and did not allow me to enjoy it as much as I did this second time. This time, it has moved up to become one of my all time favorite.
I decided to re-watch it mostly because I felt that watching Gong Yoo in "Big" twice a week, was not enough. I needed a higher dose and more exposure to that face and talent and *cough body cough*. It was during this re-watch that I discovered why this drama is so popular, timeless and overall a star making drama.
This is what I would call an "slice of life" drama. Nothing big or major happens. There are no huge plot twists, evil second leads, plotters to set the main couple apart or anything like that. The story is very subtle and deep at times, poignant at others and over all very funny and heart warming. These characters really make you feel like they are so real you might see them walking down the street -or maybe working at their coffee shop.
The acting is SUPERB. Sometimes I wondered if they were adlibbing. The conversations, the reactions seemed so realistic and flowed so well, it gave it an extra layer of believability.
The main couple is of course one of the major reasons to watch this drama. Ah- to be loved that way. The way Gong Yoo portrays it and smiles....(I'm fanning myself already :). That is all great and all, but really, this drama is an ensemble drama. What gets you and sucks you are the interactions these characters have with each other. How they become better persons from when they met, thanks to knowing each other, working together and caring for their job and each other. Even the grandmother and relationship between the main characters and their respective families was awesome. There was character development all around. I liked that.
The music was awesome too. The whole drama and the music itself gave me a very Indie feel. It reminds me of Juno, 500 Days of Summer, or books such as "Whatever Happened to Goodbye" by Sarah Dessen. All of these stories get you so involved in the subtleties of these characters' daily life that you feel a bit of a voyeur, a friend or someone who comes to care so much about them, that you do not wish the story to end.
Lastly, as sweet and romantic, well acted, funny and great music as it had, I do not think that this drama should be taken lightly. As subtle as it was it did feel very adult like in it's themes. They touched upon sex before marriage, gay relationships, cheating and forgiving, etc. I did not know before how many of the topics dealt here are not ones that -at that time specially- were usually touched upon. If you want to, this drama makes you think and analyze it.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good story. Like stated before, don't expect a lot of action or plot twists, but this drama is really worth watching. This drama absolutely deserves the title of "all time classic".

The script and story are original in their elements. Personally, I love anything to do with superpowers, so when I heard of this movie, I jotted it down on my list to watch later. Now, it has become one of my favorites. The plot leaves the audience in suspense and wondering what will happen. Finally, the ending leaves you in content, satisfied, but still wishing for more. You're wishing for more not because the story isn't neatly wrapped up, but because you'll fall in the love with the characters that you'll want to see more of them.
I put the music as nine because it wasn't freaking amazing, but it was just quite good, just not amazing. There is one song in the movie that I feel could have been better. In the movie, out of nowhere, an English song with an Irish feel to it plays. Personally, I feel the song was out of place.
Finally, the rewatch value is merely an eight, because it's a movie that you may want to see again, but then again, it could also be a movie that you are content with seeing just once.
Overall, I thouroghly enjoyed the movie and recommend this movie to anyone who likes to watch films questioning human nature, involves supernatural/superpowers, has a heart-warm feel, has a bad boy, and/or deals with character identity crisis.
