THE BEST!! SERIOUSLY!! But what happened to that 0.5 star?

It's really a great show! From the production, the cinematography, the storyline, all the way to the acting!!! I have been blown away since the very first episode and at the end of it, I am still very impressed!!

Bilkin and PP were amazing actors. Every expression was believable and since I pay a lot of attention to details, seeing how Bilkin is able to control little muscles on his face really just proves that he is a great actor. Hats off to him!

Now character-wise, Teh really frustrates me. But It is very well portrayed especially the confusion he went through. It was clearly shown from the start. Oh's character is of someone who was hurt but learned to trust again only to be hurt again but in the end, still chose to love. I find it beautiful. Like really beautiful.

My favorite character of all was definitely Bas. He didn't really have many scripts in the show. Nor was his screentime many but his presence was huge. In silence, he was able to portray so many emotions of someone who is an introvert and hiding his secret love. Another character that took home the award for me is really Hoon. He played a very good big brother. I loved that exchange between Teh and Hoon especially when Teh was sitting in the vegetable after having his heart, broken.

The only reason why I gave an overall 9.5 stars is simply that I am a sour and bitter bitch whose ship sunk! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I am all for Bas... so, watching him cry broke my heart!

But hey, the two leads are great too!

DO NOT WATCH RIGHT AFTER THE GIFTED!!!

To fully enjoy this series, my advice is to not watch it immediately after watching The Gifted.

With the genre and concept being pretty similar (suspense, mystery, school secrets) and two of the main leading roles being played by the same actors that also played the two main lead roles for The Gifted, it's natural that people will compare by default. In my opinion, both series are great in its own way however, you can never quite live up to the effects of superheroes and hidden powers thus, DO NOT WATCH RIGHT AFTER THE GIFTED!!!

That said, the story started off immediately by introducing to us the main mystery of the entire series... The missing girl. There we meet Pang (Nannon) who has little to less interest in anything else in the school other than finding what happened to the missing girl who is his sister. We are then introduced to a few other students; Andrew (Chimon), Highlight (Ohm), Jim Bae (First), Title (Drake) and Bantad (Frank) who will accompany Pang in his search and solve the mystery under the supervision of Teacher Wanpadej (Bank). I came into this series for Ohm, Chimon, and Nannon but toward the end of Episode 1, Bank was the one that sold the series to me as I continue on.

The storyline is full of suspense which keeps us at the edge of our seats. There are several bits and pieces which can be quite predictable but there's also some plot twist that is really well done. This series, however, introduces romance and love lines for each of the 6 boys which consist of Melon (Prim), Carrot (View), Pakkard (Love), Orange (Prigkhing), Cupcake (Ploy) and Laily (another Ploy). The whole romance thing going on was pretty annoying in the beginning but over time does grow on you. But if you ask me if it was necessary, NO! It is not necessary to have all of them to have romance. One or two is okay but the entire group? That kinda spoiled it.

One of my biggest cons for this series is that after the big mystery was solved, they managed to introduce a new mini-mystery within just 2 episodes thus it seemed a little bit rushed. I really disliked the ending of this small mini mystery as it does not make sense to me realistically/ IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE do I was annoyed with it. If you're someone that takes in every detail of a series, this one will get you frustrated and fuming towards the very end

Where music is concerned, I think it was done very tastefully. The sound effect and the music is often the driving force behind my excitement before the scene takes place itself. It does build up the expectation for what's to come/

All in all, it's a really good show if you don't compare it to The Gifted. But if you do compare, then even for myself, Blacklist fell short of what The Gifted was able to give us.

Would I rewatch this series again? Yes, I would but I will also skip a lot of unnecessary parts.

If you're looking for something to just laugh at and let time pass, then this is the series for you! However, if you're looking for something with more depth, seriously, I'd suggest you make a pass on this.

STORY:
Upon reading the summary plot, I'd say that I hopped in to this series mainly because of Bar's character as a Hazer (SOTUS really imprinted good feelings towards the Engineering Hazing ritual to me). The story talks about a Med Student going after his Engineering senior. Firstly, I find it pretty shallow that a guy who is not only a Hazer but someone who was pretty sure of himself being a "PUCHAI" allowed someone to woo him through blackmail. Honestly, I would have punched Gun for blackmailing me. The relationship development was too rushed! One moment, bar didn't like guys and the next second he was swept away by the young doctor's charms. That doesn't really happen in real life. At least not withing ONE WEEK! It's just a predictable story-line with a boring plot that's definitely cringe worthy from the start to the end.

ACTING/CAST:
I only rate this with a 5.0 only because I truly see the potential in Folk Thitiphat. His acting was pretty okay though I felt he needed to add just a little bit more aggression into his character as Bar. It was a little too gentle. I felt like I could just pick him up and put him in my pocket! It's no wonder the Doc blackmails him. Looks wise, Folk is absolutely adorable and I enjoyed watching him through all his facial expressions and scenes. Just felt that he needs to add on just a little weight cause I felt like the wind could have just blown him away.

Tossakan's character on the other hand was a pain for me to follow. The so called handsome and confident doctor did not really OOZE out the confidence and charisma he's supposed to portray. It really seemed as if he was Faking it till he makes it. The way he talks or when there's voice-over for his texts/FB comments, it seems too soft and gentle. The kindness he is trying to portray is very unbelievable and every line he says (probably blame the script) was too cringy! On top of that, I seriously hated that confession scene on stage. I felt very very disappointed with the character. Seriously, grow a spine and don't cry like a baby. Visually, I felt that Win Achawin could definitely use more practice to better his facial expressions. It's not bad but it's not good either. Definitely room to grow. As for his face! God help me, he must have been going through hormonal changes and puberty because I keep seeing pimples that are ripe (with yellow pus) even if they're small. It's super distracting because all I was thinking about was popping those zits that I could not focus on the series. I think the staffs (makeup) should pay attention more to these details especially when they're doing beauty shots.

MUSIC:
What music? Cause honestly, I couldn't recall any music.

REWATCH VALUE:
No. Not worth a second watch really. Again like I said in the beginning, if you just wanna pass time, then maybe... Just maybe this could do okay considering it's just 4 episodes. But I won't watch it again.

OVERALL:
It's too Cringy! I literally paused the series to post a GIF of a unicorn vomiting rainbows. It was entertaining and I was giggling all the way through because of the cringe. Seriously gave me goosebumps but other than that, it was not a good series. My only positive take away from this is that I discovered Folk and would love to keep a watch out to see his future projects if any.

I love the character development especially on Type's side. You really see him slowly opening himself up to accept Tharn instead of having everything rushed. Tharn's backstory is also slowly revealed in a pace that is acceptable.

The supporting roles are great. Techno is good laugh and really shows the kind of warm friendship that we all deserve. Another supporting role that is really great is Thorn who shows an amazing support role as a brother.

Personally I am whipped for Type but I loved the fact that both the main leads are not the soft, fragile kind of character but are both masculine and strong and independent. Loved how they showed the dynamics of how their relationship is when they're in public and when they're in private.

Emotionally Endearing!

The concept of the series was what drawn me to give it a watch along with it being only an 8 Episode series which is not too long. The story talks about a boy and a ghost in the midst of a mystery to figure out the death of the latter and how their friendship soon developed into a budding romance that may be against the course of nature. I expected it to be a tear-jerker throughout but I didn't cry up until the end of the series itself.

I think the casts were nicely selected and the reasons why I think so:-

[Singto] - This series has given me a fresh taste of Singto as he plays a lonely but gentle and adorable ghost character. A good departure from his dearly loved character as Kongpob in Sotus, it was refreshing to see him carry out a character. He was able to carry out the mischievous role while staying sensitive towards the emotions he has to portray.

[Ohm] - A talent that I've recently been diving into as he never fails to impress. Although I started watching his newer work such as Dew, Blacklist, and the currently running 'The Shipper', Ohm delivers his roles so well that going backward doesn't seem to have any negative effects. He really is a talent that calls for attention and I look forward to more of his shows. (Psst, still salty he wasn't added as a new cast for Gifted S2) ; In this series, Ohm plays a young boy that sees a ghost, and what started out as pity soon reveals the secrets hidden in his heart. His cheerful, positive, and happy character battles against his inner fears of being a disappointment and struggles with acknowledging his identity. A very well done portrayal of that.

[Chimon] - Another actor whom I've been binging on due to his spectacular performance in both The Gifted and Blacklist. Chimon as Prince is also a fresh take as we get to see his character shine as a supporting role instead of trying to forcefully prove himself to be THE BEST.

[Ssing] - Ultimately one of my favorite actors. Ssing's role as Khew is just hilarious as all his other roles in other series. He's still the goofy buddy that brings joy and laughter to every scene he is in. Never disappointed in his acting.

[Giggie] - Only having seen her once in 2Gether as Pam, I have not formed many impressions about her, however, her role as Plaifah was done pretty well. Secretly harboring feelings for someone unattainable while ignoring the one who is showering her with attention. My only hope is that she can practice more facial expressions. It's not bad bout it's not great either.

[Ampere & Gunsmile] - THE BEST! Hands down! I have nothing else to say except, "GIVE THEM AN AWARD"!

The songs are great! There is that whole old school vibes which introduce us to a new variety of Thai Songs. Now as to whether it's a show I'd rewatch again, it'll be a MAYBE. I won't purposely and intentionally go like, I NEED to rewatch this but maybe a few years down, I might wanna watch it again.

I came here because of Chimon however the beginning of the show was a little too graphic for my liking. I personally felt that there were some adult scenes that weren't necessary as it made the film swing a little towards soft-porn. However I am thankful that there weren't many such scenes and after awhile, it toned down a lot more so it was okay to stay on to watch.

The film basically revolves around Chimon who experiences loneliness and when being exposed to (stumbling upon) 2 men in action, he goes through a journey of self-discovery in his sexuality. Even more so when a kind and caring friend suddenly appears into his life, filling up the emptiness and loneliness he felt.

The whole story line is pretty logical. The portrayal of religion background and how it form certain perception in relation to sexuality is also very realistic (although I personally felt that the homophobia was a little too extreme) however I do understand the perspective of a religious parent. That part of the plot however was a little cliche and something we've seen multiple times but it wasn't too bad.

Several things that I enjoyed from this film is how they expressed loneliness and longing, the stress of meeting family expectations, the pressure of being 'NORMAL' as well as the depression that one slips into when loneliness and heartache are mixed in the same equation.

Overall, good enjoyable story. Chimon is a sweetheart! Wanted to slap several characters upside-down lol however it's not something I would watch again. Once is already more than enough.

If you've watched through all 4 episodes of Tossara then this series will not disappoint because in comparison to it's previous mini-series, this one is an upgrade in more than one ways!

STORY:
The starting does poses certain questionable morals. A sexual encounter to start of the series is okay but if it's with a drunk (and therefore non-sober/rational) party that mistakes you for someone else, then no! Not a good idea. But apart from that, the story was okay. Nothing special that stands out. Just your regular straight guy who has a girlfriend, get's shaken by his feelings after a one night stand with another guy and how they try to make the relationship work after that encounter. What's good though is that the emotions portrayed in this series surpasses my expectation from the previous series and the story at least makes a bit more sense to me.

ACTING/CAST:
War Wanarat is absolutely amazing! Every close-up scene that requires his change of reactions from a simple smirk, a tightening of the jaw, a stolen smile he wishes to cover up to the gritting of his teeth... Everything was on point! I was blown away by his ability to be in control of every minute muscular movements. That is really professional to me. The way he portrayed his character was good and it was obvious to the viewers his change of heart from Bar to Vee just through the way he expresses his emotions just through glances. I give him a 10/10! Also he is good looking and a definite eye candy!

Vee's character portrayed by Yin Anan is also done really well. While I was constantly shaking my head at Vee for the silly things his character did, Yin carried out those emotions very well. From the frustration, to the tiredness to feeling peacefully at ease and in love. He was able to capture it all well on camera! Of course Yin looks good too so that's a bonus. However, Vee as a character sometimes makes me wanna slap him! Lol, he is hurt because Ploy cheated on him but when really, you slept with someone else too. Not once and most probably not even twice. You're literally in a relationship there so to watch the character development, it was pretty good though I felt it was a bit too much to squeeze into 4 episodes.

MUSIC:
Again, I can't really recall much music so nope!

REWATCH VALUE:
I'd give this a 6.0 because honestly, I wouldn't mind watching it again for the two main actors. And 4 episodes is just nice! Not too lengthy!

OVERALL:
A great upgrade from Tossara! Definitely room to expand and to improve but a good watch still :)
