What would you do to get and stay famous?
Honestly, I think this was the first drama that I was not able to actually guess the twists. It does such a great job of keeping you on your toes and hanging onto every word Ah-Ri says. This is about the world of celebrities and influencers and the things they do and hide behind what we see through the screen. They do such a great job at really capturing what it's like to use social media and how things come and go quick. I really loved the effects with all the social media and comments. It was really pleasing and not done in a cheesy, just a screenshot way.
The story is amazing and really has you guessing until the very last episode. I wish that we could have gotten a few more details with little things like Ah-Ri's backstory and less of Jun-Kyung and Shi-Hyun's. It honestly didn't really fit into the plot that well, nor did I really care for it. The twists and turns in this are small, but I couldn't guess them at all. I think they did a really good job of having the account owner super secret until the moment it's actually revealed. Even when it was, my jaw dropped because I would've never been able to guess. I was a bit sad with how everything ended so quickly and wish we could've gotten more of the happier resolution after.
The romance in this drama is small, but the few scenes you do get are really good. I was rooting for Ah-Ri and Jun-Kyung so hard. You can never go wrong with enemies (on one side?) to lovers.
I really love the social commentary this drama gave on how everyone views celebrities/influencers and how we are the ones who old them above ourselves. I also loved the commentary on how one person can really bring you to your lowest with just their words. It really gets you thinking about everything you see on social media as well.. is it really all real? Are the people real and genuine? Why do we care and cheer on random people we will never know?
Just a great and easy watch if you're looking for a mystery/thriller to give you some entertainment for a short time. The episodes are only 45 minutes each, so it's a great binge show.

Started off to an amazing start and as it kept going... it crashed hard and never recovered. It hooked me instantly with the premise of a national vote for criminals who skate by on their charges due to legal loopholes or money. It slowly turns into plot hole after plot hole and a jumbled mess of questions and story webs that never got connected. The writers tried to keep you guessing as to who Gaetal was until the very end, but the mystery is pretty obvious as it goes on. The twists-and-turns are not even good and just give you whiplash with how unnecessary some of it was. The good thing about this drama is the actors. It is stacked with big names and they deliver on their parts. Everyone from the leads down to the side characters do a fantastic job with their acting and it really helps keep you watching because the story does not. I liked the dynamics between all the characters and the way they interacted, but even within those relationships were messy, unfinished storylines. The decisions of Seok-Joo were so questionable and I just want to leave it to the bad writing. His character and story could've been so good, but they really butchered it for him.
I was hoping the ending would leave me feeling a little better with the overall story, but that made my rating fall below an 8 which I was going to give. While in other crime dramas within the final episode we are completing and wrapping up storylines for a smooth or open ending, this one just created more questions than answers. It seems open ended leaving you with: "There will always be another Gaetal." + "Another Gaetal will appear." I'm not sure I'll be tuning in if there is another season.

"You were my ice cooler box."
A really great slice of life that could've done without the mystery side of things. The overall story hooks you and has you hooked throughout. I was at the edge of my seat every episode watching Mok-Ha's journey from island to stadium. There are a few downs towards the end, but it picks up in the last 2 episodes for a really perfect ending. The one thing I really enjoyed in this drama were all of the relationships between all of the characters. The friendship between Mok-Ha and Ran-Joo was my favorite and I couldn't get enough of it. I was honestly looking forward to their scenes more than I was the romance. Their blossoming friendship of fan to mentor is really beautiful and I loved the character development it gives Ran-Joo. The romance and overall mystery of who Ki-Ho is was worth it, but wish it could've been resolved a little earlier to get more scenes of the two of them. There are a lot of little details that you can miss with them if you don't pay attention and it really adds to their relationship. Ki-Ho keeps all of his promises.
The music is really great and just helps add to the already amazing story. A feel good drama that has you emotionally invested until the last minute.

This was one of those dramas that I added and removed a couple of times before actually giving it a try. The reviews steered me away and I was nervous about what I was getting into, but I'm honestly glad that I gave this a watch. While I can agree that splitting the show into 2 halves was not a good idea, especially where they broke the season in two at, but other than that I felt that it was a really good watch. The writing and overall plot reminded me a lot of Goblin and I think that's why I felt a pull towards it. While it's not something new and not seen before, I felt it was written out really well although predictable. There was only one plot twist I didn't see coming, but I was overall satisfied with how the story played out. I do wish we could've gotten more exorcisms and "cases" like Lee Seo-Ryeon. The religious aspects and backstory interested me a ton and I wish that it was explored more throughout the two parts.
Action is not really my thing, but I can appreciate it every now and then. This drama nails it, in my opinion. Watching the fighting scenes, especially with Johan involved were really exciting and I loved the CGI effects in them. It added another aspect to the show that made it look really good.
The acting is incredible and it really adds a layer to the main characters. I absolutely loved all 3 of the leads and they all had captivating performances. Lee Da Hee really nails the rich-girl turned soft-hearted character and has such amazing chemistry with Kim Nam Gil. I loved watching the characters of Van and Won Miho slowly open up to each other and realize their affection for one another.
I'm excited and hopeful for a 3rd season so I can see how these characters and new plots all play out.

Incredible. This show is deserving of it's almost 10 rating it has. It's super heavy and intense and I found my anxiety and heart rate spiking through the roof every time I watched an episode. It is VIOLENT.. there are fights every episode and they aren't small. I think this drama did a really good job of capturing the feeling and emotion that the kids were facing.. hopelessness. First I want to give props to all of the actors, but especially Park Ji-Hoon. The way he played Yeon Shi Eun was incredible. The dead look in his eyes when fighting, but the warmth you can see on his face when he's around his friends is such an amazing skill and really added a layer to the overall story. It had me feeling everything for him and wanting him to be happy.
I have not read the webtoon for this, so I had no idea where the story was gonna go and I'm still confused on where things twisted. I usually am good at predicting how things are gonna play out in dramas, but this one had me. Right when I was getting comfortable and starting to like everyone, it throws you a curveball and you can't do anything except let it hit you right in your face.
I also want to point out that I loved the way they did the fighting scenes. I'm usually not one for action, but the way they use how smart he is and what he's studied in the fights itself was really cool and unique in my opinion. It added a really cool layer of knowing what was in his head before he actually acted. Every move was thought out and it made it super interesting.
Dark, emotional and intense.. I honestly can't wait for season 2.

Wow.. This drama is the only one I've watched so far where at the end I was speechless and empty. Heavy trigger warning for bullying, sa, death, etc that comes with crime kdramas. The acting in this show was absolutely incredible. The way that the two ML's played their characters was insane from facial expressions to just their eyes or voice. They did an incredible job playing these two characters and portraying this tragic story. I personally loved Kim Dong Wook. He played a really good killer and by the end had me feeling so many emotions for Hwang Kyung Min. Also a huge shout out to the younger actors who played the past versions of the leads, they did incredible. Especially the acting of Cheolie.
I think the one thing that I personally didn't like was that I could guess where things were going (especially the big twist) before they happened. I wish that it could've been a bit more of a mystery, but the writing and overall plot starts to become very obvious around the middle part of the drama. It was still good to watch how everything truly played out and get every side of it, but it was too predictable for me. I also felt as though we didn't get full answers with Jung Jong Suk.. his background was so crazy and he seemed the most unhinged, but we never get anything more than just that..
The ending and the entire show just make you feel empty and helpless... a tragic story that portrays high school bullying, life and trying to just get through it.

I went into this not expecting much after loving the first one and knowing that several of the characters had left and been replaced, but was surprised that I loved this one too. While the story took a minute for it to grab me completely and my attention did fall off a bit at the end, the overall show was a really great mystery but was more-so used to set up the new main characters spot in the show. It establishes his overall backstory and sets up a story and more mysteries for season 3. The first one definitely is still my favorite so far in the series, season 2 stands alone as a great bridge between another hopefully great season.-- Spoilers Below --
Director Kang comes back with such a bang that it really helped me remember why I loved this show so much. Her acting is incredible and she really makes you feel every emotion possible in such a short amount of time. Her character has grown a great amount being fully in charge of the Golden Time Team and making such a wave with it's success. She doesn't have too much of an interaction overall with the main mystery of the season, but is targeted by Officer Bang because of her gifted ears. Kang's chemistry with her new counterpart, Do Kang-Woo, is amazing and even though it's not a romance, had me slightly rooting for them to end up together. She fully understands and trusts him, but finds herself questioning her judgement many times at the hands of Officer Bang playing games with the entire team. I hope that she has more of an impact in the overall mystery and is more centered on her in season 3.
Team Leader Do is a mysterious guy from the start and is definitely rough around the edges. Everyone around seems to dislike him and he has a dark past following him around. This season overall is establishing his character and backstory and setting up another storyline in season 3. The main mystery follows his backstory of his father being a serial killer and how it impacted himself, his family, and people around him. He suffers from PTSD from stumbling across his murdered friends body and his ultimately blamed by Officer Bang for this happening. The chemistry between him and Kang as stated is amazing and although he doesn't fully trust her with his past yet, he fully trusts her ears, gift and team completely.
I loved seeing Eun-Soo getting more of a prominent role in the team and also being in charge when Director Kang steps out. She didn't get an episode in the first one, but sadly gets a tragic episode in this season. She is a victim of dating abuse and is in a violent relationship with a serial abuser. The story unfolds in a scattered way, but ultimately her abuser is murdered by 3 other women that he abused. Her acting in this episode is incredible and it shines on her characters development of how strong of a cop she is as a result of being with the Golden Time Team.
Jin Seo-Yool was another new face to the Golden Time Team and filled in the place of Oh Hyun-Ho nicely. He is a computer hacking genius and helps the team get around the web fast. He gets an episode this season as well.. I feel as though it was used to not harm one of the main characters of the show but rather a new face that wouldn't really harm the overall story. Officer Bang plays with him and targets his hacking skills, eventually kidnapping him and taking all his fingers on one hand. I'm interested to see if he comes back for the third season and to see if there is any character development or story to come from that with his hacking and needing his hands for the job.
Overall, this season could stand alone on it's own, but is a bridge between season 1 to the season to come. New characters equals new story and this season lays it all out. If you loved the stand alone episodes and procedures of the first season, you'll love this one as well. Though the main mystery is the drive of the season, I loved seeing the Team do what it does best. I can't wait to check out the 3rd season!

Went into this looking past the reviews and while there are positives to Abyss, I found myself mostly confused after watching the whole thing. The story is interesting on paper and the drama even starts out grabbing your attention immediately, but the more it went on the more I found myself only wanting the romance portion and not the murder-abyss mystery. The two leads and the romance story are what kept me going to completion. I thought about dropping it a few times throughout my watch through, but I'm glad that I pushed to get to the very end. If it wasn't for them and their acting + scenes, I wouldn't have been interested. I didn't really care for any of the other back stories at all, plus the villain is easy to guess from the beginning.
The plot holes are always a little crazy in fantasy dramas, but this one seemed to be on another level to me. Some of the questions you are left with are huge and the way the story progresses can seem a little messy. A huge one for me is how everyone just moves past that they brought themselves back to life. Not just 1 person, 3.. and everyone moves past it and continues on like they didn't die and come back looking entirely different. If you truly look at how their relationship starts it's so messy and toxic. How he was pining after her during his previous relationship, how he still is pulling both girls along for most of the drama while knowing who he truly wants to be with.. I do wish we could've gotten more scenes of how she liked him with his previous face. That is the downfall to these Ugly-to-Hot dramas for me.. they are still the same person they were before, but everyone treats them differently and suddenly realizes their true feelings or wants to express them after they are Hot v. Not.
Good for cute romance scenes, but the story wasn't one that kept me hooked or satisfied.

I started this drama off a reccomendation and I'm glad that I gave it the watch. While I find some dramas can get a little wishy-washy towards the middle, this one is able to pick up the pieces quickly and get you back on track. Even after the few episodes that weren't on the great side, the ending and overall conclusion made sense and was incredibly worth it. I also started this drama after watching Daily Dose of Sunshine and knew I would have to watch this one because of Park Bo Young. Her acting captured me in DDoS and in this one she's just as incredible. I love the way that she brings life and character to these written characters. She truly brings them to life and pulls off some of the best acting I have seen. I'm going to continue checking out a lot of her work. The ML also caught my eye and I loved the contrast between Myeol Mang vs. Kim Sa-Ram at the end of the drama. He brought such a personality to Doom and I couldn't get enough of the scenes with him and Dong Kyung.
You also can never get enough Lee Soo Hyuk. I've loved him since I watched him in Tomorrow and I hope that he is in more dramas to come. I love his acting so much and I really loved his character in this drama. While he is a background character, he adds a lot of little moments and towards the middle becomes more prominent as his story his portrayed. I was rooting for him the entire time and was glad to see that his story ended well like the main lead's.
Had me hooked from the beginning with the concept of the story and the acting. It never once made me lose my interest or feel the need to skip ahead. As I mentioned before, towards the middle/close end it gets a little rough, but once you stick it out and make it through... it's worth it!

While this show is good, I found most of the extra stories incredibly boring. I honestly just was interested in the main couple and how their story was going to play out. The murder mystery aspect in this drama was actually interesting and went with the plot of the show. Most others are just there for the sake of drama, but this one helped with keeping you watching to figure it out. Although at some point, it was pretty easy to guess the overall twist and mystery of the show. So after the answer was given, the show got a little boring to me. I did finish, but with a lot of skipping to get to the overall resolution. The ML is the main actor that caught my attention. The way he portrayed the turmoil Do-Ha was going through was really great. The character development he shows with him is also what helped keep me interested. Seeing how his entire life was being shaped and mended due to meeting a person he had in the past. I felt for his character the most. Definitely want to check out more of what he's going to be in and has been in.
The "power" part of the show was interesting and the cases that came along with it. I wish we could've gotten a little more of that part too. Especially the workers in her tarot cafe, that was so interesting to me and I felt like we hardly got to see it. I wasn't interested in any of the storyline with her mom or her ex-boyfriend. It was honestly just boring and predictable with how it was going to go, especially after watching so many dramas like this one. The neighborhood and all of their storylines were interesting and I could've appreciated seeing more of them too. By the time you get more of it, the show was already ending and you're just wanting to see how the main plotline is going to conclude.
It's not the greatest drama ever, but it was a pretty good watch for the main couple and story.

Mask Girl is a show that when I started the first episode I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it. By the end, I was shocked by how much I felt for Mo-Mi. This drama is very graphic and can be intense at times, so I would keep that in mind for your watch. Especially a few major triggers! (SA/R/DV)One thing I enjoyed that this drama did was having episodes for each new character and their stories. I loved how easy it made the plot flow and was nice to see all the details about the others that were involved with Mo-Mi. I found myself easily being drawn into each story and wanting to get more and more of how things were going to play out. Each story adds to the already heartbreaking life and story of Mo-Mi and by the end you're sad all over again.
This drama definitely made me feel the: "I support Women's Rights and their Wrongs." All Mo-Mi really wanted was to be loved by everyone and be famous. People treated her poorly based on her looks and then when she finally thought she had someone she could trust, they do the unthinkable to her. Everywhere she turned there was something that tore her down. If you're looking for a drama that leaves you with a happy ending and feeling then this isn't the watch for you. Although the ending can be seen as open, it was bittersweet all the while.
A short and quick drama that is packed with amazing acting from all sides. From the first Mo-Mi to the new reborn one and the final Mo-Mi. Each one had such a striking difference in their character, but all still managed to keep true to how Mo-Mi felt in the beginning. I also loved the acting from Mo-Mi's best friend, Chun-Ae. Although she has her 1 episode, I loved her story and how badly I felt for her as well.
Basically, if you love melodramas and stories that will have you feeling sadness, grief and everything in between... then this is for you! I liked it a lot.

Unlock My Boss wasn't something I saw myself getting interested in, but gave it a try anyways. I'm glad I did too! I couldn't stop watching and wondering what the conclusion was going to be. I loved the balance this drama gave between thriller/mystery with a comedic relief. It always picked the right moments for comedy and switched when it needed to be serious. I felt that it would be hard to do, especially when one of your main characters is a smartphone, but it wasn't cheesy or weird at all.
This is one of those dramas where you love all the characters and the little found family they start making. I loved Se-Yeon and Mafia so much. I also loved Min-A and the light moments she helps put into the show. Chae Jong-Hyeop does such a great job portraying Park In-Seong and switching between his real self and his "acting" ceo self.
There were a few ups and downs within the story itself and honestly the end left a lot of unanswered questions and a good open ending. That would be my main issue with the show after watching. It does leave an ending perfect for a second season, but hate having to wait to see if there is one. Especially with the way they leave you off.

This drama I picked up and dropped I think around 3 times before I actually sat down and was able to fully get into it. Honestly, once you skip past all the fraud stuff in the beginning and get to the main plot is when I got interested. The background he has with making money in the fraud business really holds nothing during the entire show, it's just there for the first episode to establish his character and never mentioned again. The village and all the people living in it are really what got me hooked. Once he realized he could save these people, it just kept going up from there. I loved the relationships and bonds that they built within the village and also between the two ML's. Their relationship was so sweet and it really warmed my heart the way he had Wook and Jong-Ah to help him out and be around when needed. Pan-Seok's backstory and whole character is amazing and I felt so awful for him the entire time. I think that was one downfall is that he never really got any closure like Wook was given. It really broke my heart.
The plot twists that do happen are small and not really gasp/jaw dropping, but they still were really nice with adding to the plot. The main storyline doesn't start until around the middle or at least when it all starts unraveling and overall it was pretty good. There were a few things that were unnecessary or a few things that we could've done without, but it didn't take away from the show any. At some times, it felt like so much was going on at once it was hard to keep track, but they do a great job of getting back onto the main plot.
Supernatural dramas have become a quick favorite of mine and this one does a great job with the overall effects of the spirits and when they leave the Village. I wish we could've gotten a more in-depth answer of where they go after honestly. It felt a little uncomplete every time someone passed on since we never really got the goodbye of seeing where they went. Which I guess is part of the main theme of the drama, which is moving on and coping with the grief we have of our loved ones leaving us.

I'm not one for action dramas, but this was a really good watch. There were a few things missing or a few things that happened that I felt shouldn't have and that's why I gave this a 9.5. It's super good, but not perfect. One thing I really enjoyed were the actors. Both ML's are so good in their characters and I really started to enjoy every scene with their little family they were making. I also loved the FL and I was really disappointed when she left the series towards the end. That was one of the things I felt shouldn't have happened. It didn't really make any sense to me plot wise and although it wasn't awful without her, I just felt it didn't fit with her character and she definitely would've stuck around to avenge her grandfather as well. She spent most of her life learning this trade with him and then dips right after?
The other thing that I thought was missing is I wish we could've gotten more of the ML's real boxing matches. Just a handful would've added a lot to the story I feel instead of them just doing it the one time when they meet. I don't think it could've been used for plot any, but it would've been nice to see more of it since they rely so heavy on them being boxers.
Overall, the story was incredible and I couldn't wait to get to the end and see how they would wrap things up. The last 2-3 episodes were a little slow with getting to the climax, but it was worth it.

This movie had a really good idea but didn't seem to write it out as well as it could've been. The story felt all over the place until it finally reached to the main focus of the movie. I felt it might've been better in a show format with all the information they wanted to fit in. The characters themselves I found were annoying and I couldn't believe the choices they would make.. Now, I understand this is a horror movie and that's typical of the leads in them, but this was just another level of making silly decisions. It honestly started to make me root for the killer towards the end because of how easy everyone was making it for him. The acting is incredible though. Yim Si Wan is already a given, but Chun Woo Hee's acting was amazing. Especially towards the climax of the movie. She did an incredible job of portraying every emotion.
The "plot-twist" towards the end didn't even really get me and it didn't really fit, in my opinion. It just seemed like they needed another huge moment, but it really fell flat.
Overall, if you're looking for a silly horror movie to watch for entertainment and to laugh then this the pick. It wasn't great, but it was an okay watch.
