5.0/10 - Finally . . . the drama might be going somewhere!~

My issue is that I am invested in these characters. I feel that there is so much to them, but I'm still stuck waiting for this drama to leave it's standard writing and stereotypes behind. It did tickle me that Fairy Dan Yin looked into that not and say that Orchid and Chang Heng get married. In both realms. I feel like that tree was all "you try and take me out with your tantrum I'll show you something!" Despite everything I do feel like this episode might be a turning point. Orchid showed all those terrible women that she is beyond better than them. She's smart and clever, and stepped up to save all their bacon. A truly amazing person. It was also interesting seeing Chang Heng's true feeling for Orchid. Poor sap is not hiding it well. There's also . . . something suspicious about Chang Heng's drinking partner, Rong Hao. He wants to know what Chang Heng is really feeling and he's picking up on things . . . in a lethal way. I don't know how to say it. I don't think he's just a friend, I think the man is shady. Bravo to this epsidoe for making Orchid such a real and amazing lead. Also, for making poor Dongfang Qing Cang and Shang Que just go crazing trying to help and keep her safe during that whole test!!!! Ha-ha!!!

5.0/10 - Orchid just got a little annoying.

So hear me out. Watching Dongfang Qing suffer is hilarious. He spent all that time stupidly collecting the morning dew. I mean what an imbecile put the bowl down to catch the drips and, I don't know, read a book while waiting. Seriously!!! So that's all fun and good. Not to mention hearing Orchid talking about him made him wonder why he should care, but he got to listen to her kind thoughts of him. However. Orchid doesn't know how to take care of herself? She just keeps buying expensive elixirs that don't work. Maybe even made her sick in the past. Or almost kill her like what happened now. Does she not know she's a Xilan Grass? Is it a lost knowledge thing? Or what? That annoys me. She needs to heal her roots . . . but hasn't bothered in the last 1,000 years to know how . . . or just was too lazy to do the work? I mean we find out the lighting there isn't ideal . . . but still. I find this odd. Then after Dongfang Qing puts all the effort in to healing her she drinks her elixir which poisons her. Would have killed her if Dongfang Qing hadn't been there! All of that only frustrates me more as we get to see past Orchid with Chang Heng. (And I feel like a moron I didn't realize that was grass on the handkerchief and it represented her!) Orchid of the past is so smooth and cute! I loved the continuing flashback scenes from 500 years ago. It made me so sad for Chang Heng when his older brother AKA the ruler of all chided him for having feelings for someone when Chidi (got it this time!) hasn't been seen. At least he gave him the handkerchief back. I don't like the trope that clearly Orchid is going to be Chidi or a bit of her or something. At least that's how it's going, especially if it's sticking to the stereotype. They're engaged, but one of them is missing/supposedly died, but now their in love with someone else. That someone else is the reincarnated person they're engaged to. When done right, it can be epic. Yes. We'll see here.Overall I liked seeing Dongfang Qing crack a little. But I don't like how the last episode and this one it feels like they're trying to make Orchid's character annoying. Cause I like her . . . I don't want to be annoyed. The star moment of this episode is when Dongfang Qing realizes Orchid is lonely. But better. Best! Is when he tries his own cooking and realizes Orchid suffered eating it so she didn't hurt his feelings! Ahhhhhh!

4.0/10 - Dramas I'm bored!!!!

Again another stereotypical episode. There were some very cute moments. Yes. Again I am so surprised I'm not beyond annoyed with Orchid. It has to be the actress. She's bringing some kind of amazing skills to the role that's making me tolerate the character. Even with burned finger drama and stuff. (Which normally just makes me roll my eyes so hard.)The nightmare aspect is interesting. So Dongfang Qing Cang had felt fear in the past, but so long ago it took him a while to remember it. So . . . when did he quit feeling emotions? AND. He's never experienced a crush or love. The warm fuzzy emotions? Because when he mentioned the picture to Orchid he couldn't identify what she was feeling. Call me a hyprict but I actually like that Chang Heng and Orchid apparently have a past. She saved him, or at least helped him, 500 years ago!!! Goodness! Why was Orchid only talking about how Chang Heng saved her? So interesting, and I want more. But I don't like how quickly Chang Heng gives up on her and walks away all the time. The whole "but he showed up and just got pulled away before she could see him" is a trope I loath! But I'm still interested in their past. I'm a nut. A drama nut.The twist that Dongfang Qing is going to have to nurse Orchid is hilarious. Yes, sometimes the ML actually get to nurse and take care of the FL sometimes. But it's so good here because Dongfang Qing is just soooooo terrible. Ha-ha! Watching him suffer is going to be nice.

4.0/10 Not very good.

So freaking tropey!!! I'm bored. A few things were cute and fun. Dirty laundry time: I LOATH it when the FL thinks the ML is in to her. Because she doesn't know why he's paying attention to her/following her around. EVEN MORE. I PASSIONATELY HATE. HATE!!!!!!! When the FL finds things endearing or kind that the ML is only doing because they benefit him. Oh . . . LBFaD is gonna have to walk a very fine line to not tick me off.Overall this was okay. I really liked how Creeper, the vine, tried so hard to hit to Chang Heng that Orchid was in danger. It felt so odd he thought to go there and check in, but couldn't pick up on not thinly veiled hints!! All she needed was a freaking song and dance to make it any more obvious that Orchid was in trouble!!!!!! I will say Dongfang Qing Cang crying because Orchid is upset is hilarious!!!!Now I'm just waiting for this drama to step it up.

4.0/10 Not very good.

Good news! Visually things have clicked for me with LBFaD! The whole prison scene looked amazing! Especially those dramatic body swapping kisses! Sadly, everything else was pretty boring. It's very standard xianxia drama (Waxia) whatever you want to call it. The FL is in the right places as the right time. The ML is annoyed by her, but is finding out fast that feeling Orchid's pain and getting injured with her isn't a fluke. The mysterious Spirit Book that Orchid stumbled across is clearly the missing Chibi (is that right?)'s leaf. It's not confirmed, but he can't free his soldiers as her spell is still working and many discoveries. Overall I felt . . . meh. I know that C-dramas can take a while to get their footing. So I'll be patient. I oddly enough still like the lead and find her ridiculously adorable. So I'll take that as a win.Random thought. Does this mean any time FL and ML kiss they'll swap bodies? And will the hair turn white when Orchid is in ML body?

7.0/10 - A very solid introduction.

Normally when I'm this amped up and excited to start a drama the first episode may not live up to certain expectations. However, I've come to understand sometimes C-dramas have a bit of a rocky start. They don't have as long a run time and normally have info dumps galore! Instead we get a minor info dump and instead get into the current time line. We're introduced to Princess Ping Yuan. A sassy Princess right after my own heart! I do love her! She plays the people around her and we get to see how clever she is and loyal. Protecting Wolfie. Wolfie who gets one heck of an introduction. Phew! That is some seriously oogling candy there! I'm not complaining about over sexualizing the main. Oh, no. I'm just seriously observing. (And freaking out at the prospects of how they might introduce Xiao Zhan's character.) I mean the glisten and mini strip tease has to be enjoyed. https://mydramalist.com/profile/silent_whispers/feeds/RdemBFPNo really. First we oogle and then we awe. Sure the awe is due to the Wolfie now playing with the cute cubs. Sure. That's it. So we find out fast that Princess Ping Yuan has known Wolfie for about a year. She's helping to make the place scary and close up the mountian to foolish hunters. With baby cubs that cute and Wolfies this hot it's the only smart thing to do. I like that she's trying to teach Wolfie about humans, as she assume he's the baby of a scholar who got lost or something. She sets up a play and it tells the story of how the two meet. It's pretty cute. I also like that we get a taste of how fast humans can anger, and that some people can care and help. And of course help a mob to chill out. It's a very interesting setup. This was a great episode in setting up players. Though the history lesson at the start kind of went over my head due to the speed. The writers really want to focus on the present storyline. Personally I applaud anyone who doesn't have to rewatch the opening, and honestly that's my biggest gripe. Which isn't much of one. Overall this a great start and I can't wait to see more unfold. I love Princess Ping Yuan and her relationship with her father. It's so cute! They're cute together! Some of the setups here are maybe over done and just meh. Princess Ping Yuan's half brother/step (not sure which yet) is against her as well as the new wife/mom. So that's standard. I do like how she played her brother. Setting up a evil man with power rolling in who just so happens is after wolf meat is a pretty standard step. Though I can't believe he thinks that will cure him? Is he there for another reason? The cliffhanger is well done. A cute wolf cub is in danger of being eaten and Wolfie is endangered by a daring rescue. Head right in to Episode 2. No point in waiting!

8.0/10 - Wow!! I did not think that was gonna happen!

Isn't it funny that no one else noticed that Chen Qian Qian is a different person? Or changed. I mean Han Shuo has found out that Chen Qian Qian is different, but he knows her through word of mouth and rumors. The Queen who loves Chen Qian Qian so much (which I'll talk about more) and sister Chen Chu Chu. While Chen Xiao Qian / Chen Qian Qian talked about how lonely she is and has no one I believe it's very true for the "real" Chen Qian Qian. Because her own mother and sister don't notice the huge differences, or pick up on the queues. Oh, but enemy Lin Qi has. And of course it's the thing that I wanted Chen Qian Qian to have merged/transferred to her. Oh, well. My dream would be for Han Shuo to teach Chen Qian Qian how to fight. Han Shuo was pretty awesome in this episode. Building off of last episodes heart to heart confessions from Han Shuo it's incredible to see him read Chen Qian Qian and for him to realize that she was very afraid of getting her shoulder put back in place. Which only makes the later events harder to stomach as the trust between the to is ruined when Han Shuo finds out that Chen Qian Qian was really trying to set him up.Which led to two things that I love and shocked me:1. Chen Qian Qian's mom really loves her. I mean that end scene was moving.2. Did Chen Qian Qian get the Dragon Bone that fast?!!! So it's always standard for Crossworlds Travelers to find out that their "family members" in the alternate reality all hate them and want them dead. With some lesser family members maybe actually caring. I'm not totally sold on Chen Chu Chu fulling caring for Chen Qian Qian, but there's no animosity there. HOWEVER, if it is there I feel like the story is setting it up for Chen Chu Chu to believe that Chen Qian Qian is working against her. It is obvious that Chen Qian Qian's mother loves her so much and I know it's mentioned that the Queen loves her. Favors her. It wasn't until that final scene that I fully realized how much she loves her youngest daughter. I mean the DRAGON BONE! She barely cares what her daughter just did. Oh, no. She's just worried about protecting her. *sniffles* I'm not tearing up!!Now about the Dragon Bone. I am still so shocked that this all happened so fast! So early in the drama! Which thrills me as now things are getting so real. I mean the bold turn means that The Romance of Tiger and Rose means business. This episode was a wild, moving, and hilarious ride!!!!!! I was so stunned by so many of the reveals. We're still left in suspense as to whether the cure worked for Han Shuo—I resent that. So that's a cliffhanger combined with what the ramifications for Chen Qian Qian is going to be. Not to mention what this means for the plot. *Happy Dance!*

7.0/10 - Huh, they're still keeping Han Shuo's edge.

I was beginning to wonder if Han Shuo had totally lost his edge. When he went begging and crying to the Queen so that Chen Qian Qian could have/help Su Mu. I mean I was worried. He's giggling. Slapping oranges and telling it it's cute. But the edge is still there. He brought in a spy by having all the musicians brought in, and then even placed them at Chen Chu Chu. Even while falling for Chen Qian Qian the temptation to poison her so that the Queen might bring out the Dragon Bone pops up. Oh, boy is he tempted. But one of the most important conversations, and character development scenes, happens and Han Shuo becomes a fully fleshed out character. Which is what I believe Han Shuo's other world self was telling Chen Qian Qian. More growth. My heart broke hearing how at sixteen he was diagnosed with heart disease and those around him already counted him dead. Wow, the emotions. This was also a solid way to show Pei Heng falling for Chen Qian Qian, but I feel like they should and are now good friends. I don't think Pei Heng could ever make a good love triangle, but I doubt a good friendship only thing will be embraced. Because you know. Though I like how he comes to her after the dislocation. Even if it dashes my hopes that Chen Qian Qian's fighting skills transferred over. Usually with this genre it doesn't happen. What's even more hilarious is seeing the men face the same abuse and judgement that women normally get. It's also saying "See a revolution needs to happen so that these men can have freedom." It's funny. What I would love is that if Both sides could see each other's views and the cities merge and embrace equality for all of the sexes. Using Su Mu as a way to show freedom of learning, and that Pei Heng is a man of power trapped in a woman's world and tries to break out of the "stereotype" was funny but brilliant.I do think this drama has definitely found it's groove! I love all the ideas and possibilities right now. The Princess School isn't being over done at this point, which is nice. It's also interesting seeing how the men like the more "conventional" Chen Qian Qian. I feel like I should be annoyed, but I'm not. *shrugs* YOu know cause this is a world where women are on top and Chen Qian Qian is just like "nah, I'm gonna let this man protect me", but she's sticking to her skills on survival. But that's why I was hoping the fighting skills transferred over. The one shocking thing this episode was hearing that Han Shuo may have been attracted to Chen Qian Qian when she was still Chen Qian Qian and he saw her riding her runaway horse. But his need to live was too strong for him and he poisons her without thought. That's deep.My episode updates: https://mydramalist.com/profile/silent_whispers/feeds/4qm4otA

7.0/10 - Oh! So much better! Oh, wowza!!!

OMG!!!! I just love how she thanks him so simply when she realizes that she's stepping on an arrow meant to kill her!!! Another attempt made be him. Then it was all dulled by another silly plan, but the pay off was brilliant. Han Shuo thinks that Chen Qian Qian is in love with him! But as he talks about her you can see it. He's fallen for HER!!! Ah! He even changes his whole plans around it! Just when I thought this episode couldn't get any cooler we meet the First Princess after the Queen talks about her being sick. What is she doing? Writing "The Tenth Draft of Will"!! Then the Princess school where Chen Qian Qian wipes the floor with Lin Qi (Second Princess's friend) and has to clean toilets. All of that perfectly balanced with Han Shuo totally in love with his new wife! Watching him get jealous and bodily pick her up and move her back to her seat so she won't be too close to Pei Heng was brilliant! Han Shuo's facial expressions when he decides that Chen Qian Qian is the Princess for him are priceless! But they are gold all during that class!! Actually I am super proud that Chen Xiao Qian was trying to keep her role as Chen Qian Qian true and dumb her down. I hope that she realizes that she is Chen Qian Qian and can (should) break character!Huh, so it's interesting seeing that Chen Qian Qian has some kind of real prior relationship with that music guy! Apparently they always flirt and we know Chen Qian Qian wasn't that wild. I wonder how big of a role Su Mu, the music guy, will play? The actor is very good. Clearly he's gonna upset Han Shuo. Will it just be jealousy, or a rift? After all Han Shuo is a "deep man who doesn't hesitate to kill". Deep AKA cray-cray! This was definitely a way more solid episode for me and I actually LOVED it! Oh, I hope this means that The Romance of Tiger and Rose has hit its flow! I also like how Chen Qian Qian describes Han Shuo as a Tiger herself, and I wonder if (and WHEN!) Han Shuo is going to describe Chen Qian Qian as a rose? I don't know why that idea thrills me so much, but it does. 4.0/10 - Gosh I LOVE THIS ROLE REVERSAL STUFF! Heck, yes.

Pei Heng seems to like the apologizing Chen Qian Qian. Clearly he's seeing a personality change. But it's also clear he likes this humbled and vulnerable Chen Qian Qian way more. Because she was to "willful" before. Hmmmm, I wonder if it's really willful. I hate it when I see "willful" as bad. Willful woman are great. Now rude. Yes. Rash, reckless, and careless. I agreed with everything else he was saying. I just don't like willful as a negative attribute. Though I'm being harsh cause I tend to see in Historical Dramas "willfulness" for women as a negative quality. Pei Heng clearly is a sympathetic person as he felt so bad for Han Shuo's situation. I mean Pei Heng doesn't know Han Shuo's real intentions. Just sees a sickly dude sold into marriage. Gosh I LOVE THIS ROLE REVERSAL STUFF!Sadly this episode fell really flat for me. Chen Qian Qian just wants out of this "dream" and back to her life. YOu see that struggle, and that's probably why she does all this crazy stuff. I just found it all too over the top, rushed, and a bit boring. This is still the setup of the story and world. It didn't help that I found Han Shuo's constant "assassinate the Third Princess" stuff annoying fast. The second poisoning attempt was funny! But all those spies out there waiting to attack over and over was dull. I hope the next episode gets better plot wise as Chen Qian Qian realizes she has to be smarter. I will say Chen Chu Chu is totally amazing!!!!!!! >_< Oh, yes. I can see why Chen Xiao Qian / Chen Qian Qian wanted Chen Chu Chu to be the lead. I mean even when a female lead has fighting skills they usually make the male lead her superior. Chen Xiao Qian / Chen Qian Qian has decided to that the way to get out of her drama is to make the plot she originally wanted play out. But clearly things have changed. What I want is for her to realize this is a chance to explore a more dynamic plot!!! Though I wonder if she's gonna stay hung up on getting Han Shuo and Chen Chu Chu together. Though I'm curious how Pei Heng will tie in. Clearly he's doomed to second lead throw away for Chen Qian Qian, but Chen Chu Chu likes him!!!!!! So this is dynamic I'm curious to see played out. Here's to the next episode being better.

5.0/10 - Had to rewatch the info dump to get it all, but then it was full steam ahead!

First off I love how fast Chen Xiao Qian / Chen Qian Qian is just all like: "I'm trapped in the script I wrote." In less than a minute!! I mean you can't argue with it once you've run up to the highest point and see the whole city you invented. There's also 2 info dumps about the world. The subs I had were super fast and had to slow down the video. So it was a bit sloppy. Once I understood the world well, and the setup for the plot it was full steam ahead! I love the idea of two cities so close to each other. One where it's normal and the men rule, and the other gender reversed and women rule. I loved LOVED seeing the male "maids" giggling and trying to attend to the Princess. Ha-ha!! There's not much to say as the plot is just starting up, but I found how Chen Xiao Qian / Chen Qian Qian dealt with the upcoming poisoning odd. If she's a princess that is so impetuous and spoiled that she can cancel all the wedding rituals (especially the Queen's one) then I have no doubt she just could have been all "I'm not marrying this fool!" Queue runaway bride!!! Boom! Rosy Zhao (AKA Zhao Lu Si) is such a wonderful comedic actress. I've already seen her in a world Crossworlds Travelers in Oh! My Emperor: Season One. She was amazing and she's bringing that fire to this role. And I don't mind it at all. Oddly enough I can already see the chemistry between Rosy Zhao and Ryan Ding. In our world there was something, but in the alternate I could already feel and see the magic!! I can't wait to see them romance each other. I find myself very impressed by the cast. Especially both the main leads attendants. They are both quirky and they play well off each other. I hope that means they keep getting to do so. Though I feel a bit of dislike for Han Shuo (Ryan Ding's character) attendant for killing that poor horse! I'm so far impressed by the writing. Especially being able to already make some great scenes and comedic punches that don't feel like they're trying so hard. Normally in this kind of drama it takes a while for the humor to find it's pacing while the world is being setup. Well done. *tips hat*Overall this is a very promising start to a genre—Crossworlds Travelers—that I never tire of. *giddy fangirling* Here we go! 6.0/10 -

Xie Xiang apparently didn't have mad skills when fighting men yet? Though I doubt she trained against women to pick up the skills. Finally she's doing weight training and well growing. I love it when a character gets some training montages. Especially when it's the spindly girl that I've been waiting to step up her game even more! This was a pretty intense episode with out first real life or death training. It was awesome!!!!! All while establishing and growing our team! Jun Shan trusted in Xie Xiang's skills. While Gu Yan Zhen not only second guessed her, but was gonna do it totally opposite and blow them all up. Gu Yan Zhen did save the day, so that was pretty cool. I think Man Ting truly wants Gu Yan Zhen. Using him as . . . a decoy against Shen is just a joke. Overall this episode is great. Ota is still there making the movies on Jun Shan. Our Shen boys better watch out these women are gonna eat'em alive!

7.0/10 - All the storylines are finally starting to get good.

Forgot about Guo Shu Ting and Huo Xiao Yu's big reveal! That's what happens when you sleep on an episode instead of writing your review! It upped the game a bit and more depth and ties. The vengeance and murder came back on the two awfully fast. I assume this is Man Ting's mom? Or aunt who is her mom? I'm a bit foggy right now, but considering the amazing pacing of this drama I'm sure it will all be revealed soon. Guo Shu Ting fighting Xie Xiang was fantastic. Especially them snuggling. I just can't believe Guo Shu Ting hasn't figured out she's a girl. Alcohol isn't good for the brain. Anywho. If that wasn't brilliant enough suddenly who is to appear but Gu Yan Zhen! Duh! Which lead to my favorite parts of this episode! I mean him washing her face and Xie Xiang insisting he wash her hands! Not to mention that he couldn't unbutton her top. My only question how long is it going to take before Xie Xiang remembers she revealed EVERYTHING to Gu Yan Zhen?Which brings me back to Gu Yan Zhen being so interested in Man Ting. Man did he perk up. I feel so bad that her father is like that. She just wanted to be there for her sister. Gu Yan Zhen is bold enough to hold her hand and be there. Who does he truly like? Hmmm. Not to mention Shen's condescending reaction to seeing the two together. I secretly want a bodyguard romance! Man Ting and her hot bodyguard! Yeah! Doubt that will happen.Lu Zhong Xin clearly knows about Guo Shu Ting's past. And Huo Xiao Yu's. I wonder how long he'll keep quiet about knowing that the man is dead? Great episode. Things are really starting to take off. Oda is really trying to real Jun Shan in. Last episode I thought he was into her. The cool way he looks at the treats says otherwise, but he's a cool guy. I'm curious if my predictions about this will come true. Overall I'm invested in all the storylines now! Though Gu Yan Zhen's sister worries me. She's so thrilled about these murdering brothers!!

7.0/10 - Vacation baby!

Okay, so I had a total blast this episode. It was cute and adorable! I bought into it so hard. Xie Xiang has to protectors to help her. Xiao Jun and Yan Zhen. It was hilarious. Everyone ends up vacationing at Song's place . Because Man Ting is convinced that Xiao Jun and Xie Xiang are lovers. While Yan Zhen is worried about Xie Xiang sleeping with anyone else. Let's be real Song thinks Xie Xiang is a girl, and even if he knew he wouldn't do a thing. What I found most hilarious is that Xiao Jun and Yan Zhen think that it's safer for Xie Xiang to sleep with him!!! Xiao Jun just assumes if Yan Zhen hasn't tried anything yet it's safe? Yan Zhen. He should no better than to trust himself!!! His treatment of Man Ting. Though I wonder if because he likes Xie Xiang is why he's not pervy with her. He clearly likes that she's not like other girls and high manintance. I wonder when his curiousity about why she's dressing as a man will take affect. Also. Song's sister ain't no fool. She immediately pegged Xie Xiang as a woman!! >_<Wow! Jun Shan is clearly in a romance with Oda Hiroshi / Jin Xian Rong. They do make a stunning couple. Oda is a lethal woman. I wonder if she'll be able to not fall in love with Oda? Or if this whole setup is to make Jun Shan distrust woman pretending to be what they're not. So when he finds out that Xie Xiang is really a girl he will distrust her? Hmmmm.Either way this episode was a blast and I loved it! I mean even the fun on the beach turning into a gang fight. Where the bodyguard (holy cow is he yummy) shows up to getting their car tire stolen!! Away donkey chariot! I just loved it!

6.0/10 - I feel that PMS

Xie Xiang went all in protecting Jun Shan. To his honor Jun Shan definitely went all in to help Xie Xiang. Though it serves him the most by what she did. I do wonder if Jun Shan has suspicious about Xie Xiang. We're not getting too much and I'm anxiously wanting more. I mean Jun Shan killed a whole troop of people, admitting to killing people, and then threatened the guy that almost died. That said I almost died laughing about Ji Jin reaction to everything. Then we get that glorious pub scene about lovers and such. Wow, I feel that PMS. Though to be honest if Xie Xiang was going that hard she may no longer be menstruating. I feel her struggle. Days were periods are so bad drugs don't touch it. You're fighting nauseous and other horrible things. It's a evil little monster. I always envied other women who never suffered bad periods or hormone spikes. Yan Zhen's sister. Wow. She's shouting Jun Shan's secret as she promises not to tell anyone. That played out super fast. I'm sure the idiot who got hit with a rock will eventually rat, but it might be a while. Then again I didn't see the big reveal playign out this fast. Yan Zhen has to have a clue now. He is so jealous and worried of Xie Xiang. I love that cliffhanger is him saying that Xie Xiang can't go to Bumpkins place! Though Yan Zhen and Man Ting had some serious bonding going on.
