Rant

I'm quite sure it wasn't the intention of the show, but by now I'm entirely in prince Suyang team. He's the only person capable of ruling the country. Who else? A child-king? His sister knowing nothing of the politics? Her good-for-nothing new husband? An old man one leg in his grave as a regent/advisor? I hope this revolution will turn out for Suyang advantage.

Oh, and were we supposed to be ok with the assumption that a certain young man spending most of his time in gibangs and lecturing about morality was first choice for a regent? Really? No one better comes to mind?

It's Suryang tho who wins the award of the week for the most annoying female lead. Wide-eyed, bratty, irresponsible, and a compulsive liar. Let's treat it a space for character improvement, because if she stays this way I'm going to keep rooting for the Princess instead.

I should sympathize with the leading couple more, but can't bring myself to treat them seriously. Right now I just feel sorry for Shin Myun and Suryang's servant (oh, another thing I hate about Suryang is how she treats her maid: gets her in troubles, ignores her and never explains anything, just throws random deep remarks and stares in the space...) and I more understand their parents then the couple.

Urghh. I need a long break from this show.
