A journey of 8people becoming friends w/3couples’s story...no backstabbing/annoying characters...
This historical drama is a story about a bunch of young people who find each other n work together in a small architecture group... they r different kinda people with different kind of backgrounds but somehow make a solid team from the start till the end... through out the drama they take projects n solve the probs to build some things while facing their own personal problems n also a major state affair in the end...
What I like:
- The friendship... eventhough they started as strangers, they grew on each other n stay together till the end as a team n became real friends...
- The characters of those 8 people in the team r just so different that it’s mostly interesting to watch... none of them is evil, so no backstabbing kinda plot...
- The leads r ok, the chems is good, n eventhough sometimes u can tell they r not that comfortable with each other doing skinship, i still enjoy their scenes... plus visually they look good... the other 2 couples r ok too, sometimes cute, sometimes a bit boring, but overal it’s ok... n the actors did good playing friends, they have believable chems...
- I haven’t seen a historical drama having architecture as the main focus, so it’s mostly interesting to watch...
- No really annoying character... only 1 villain, The Northern Prince that The Princess is supposed to marry... but he doesn’t get that much screentime n his character just shows up here n there, so he doesn’t bother me that much...
What I’m not so fond of:
- Plotwise is ok, but I find there r some boring parts here n there thru the drama... I think it’s supposed to be a light drama, but not enough cute moments, IMO the scripts r just mmeehhh for quite a few times n sometimes the directing is just not on point...
- For a light drama, I find the romance between the leads not enough... I mean they used the plot where ML demanded FL to explain her background for a few eps with kinda repetitive scenes... n while that’s happening, the leads were in a long Cold War... n happens again in a few eps near the end where FL has come back to the Palace being a Princess n the leads being heartbroken about the arrange marriage thing, n while that happens, they mostly just being work colleagues... so for me, not enough happy moments together between the leads for supposedly a light romcom...
- It’s a lowbudget drama I think, so some not so satisfying stuff in the drama... like the final battle in the end is not even a good CGI n some not properly done scenes... also The Palace doesn’t really look like one, no luxury... n some other things, but it’s a pass for a lowbudget one I guess...
Overall I quite enjoyed it, not that much but enough to finish this... there were some boring moments, but still acceptable... there isn’t really a villain that u could hate so much... the luv triangle parts r not that annoying coz it’s obvious the leads only like each other, n no real tricks... so if u like the kinda drama that tells stories about a group of friends working together side by side n having 3couples between them for some light romance, then u might like this... just don’t expect too much, coz it’s a bit slow pace n almost no action scenes... let’s just say it’s not that good, but not that bad...
