A lot of things in this drama made no sense and I was often left wondering "How the heck did that happen?" and "What the heck happened during those years?"
Indeed, a lot of time lapses in order to not answer such questions as "How did a wounded man escape terrorists on a desert and how did he get home?" And then "Wait, Korean man on a desert, terrorists? What?"
But you guys, I loved the characters (except the woman). I loved the main guy, his friends and all the scheming politicians, I loved them all. Because they felt real. I loved the fast paced storytelling in its all ridiculousness. I even loved the ending of which I am still not sure of. Did it happen or not?
There is something about this drama I can't describe. Maybe because it reminds me of good old days, of All In (I mean the same screenwriter and all). Lobbyist is like a little cousin on the epic example of revenge, political plotting, from rags to decent living, love never dies. There is the feel many dramas simply lack, what makes you watch one episode after another. A good drama about ambitions, revenge, plotting. This is a good replacement if you think All In or Sand Glass are too old and if you are yearning for a lot of action and strong love story.
