Sad people felt this drama was for some reason overrated. Like howw?! The writers wrote a solid story about realistic hardships people sadly go through, and how some but not many people may overcome them. Nothing overrated about that in fact it’s such a refreshing and different drama from typical Korean dramas. It really was a healing drama for reason, and I was a crying mess throughout the whole drama. I truly felt for every characters hardships and the second-hand pain those around them felt too. The acting was so good as it was able to make me cry every five minutes ;__;

Watched it three times and I still can’t get over how good it was!

Finally Lee Joon Hyuk in a primarily romantic drama, and he's the lead??!! yes please.

Story:
Plot turned out to be quite simple there was no big conflict to overcome like in many dramas. It did focus less on the medical aspect. It was more chosen as a background setting for a rom-com. An easy drama to easily breeze through. Focused more on typical day-to-day situations one faces. Leaned more on the realistic side at times which I liked. I wasn't forced to skip because I felt absolutely no dragging or filler episodes, something new happened all the time. Script and conflicts seemed repetitive, unsure if it was intentional. Different characters affect by similar situations always brought up and resolved the same way. It was a a surface-level type of drama with a little bit of everything.

Acting/Cast:
The leads' scenes were very wholesome especially seeing the ML change as he became more expressive and open towards the FL . Chemistry occasionally lacked, and their contrasting personas didn't help at all as it made it a bit more obvious. The FL sometimes came off a bit too strong that she overpowered the ML in scenes together making him seem aloof. Lee Jae Wook was made a bit too monotone in the beginning, but he was good at expressing himself through his eyes. It was the main reason the viewer is able to acknowledge his growing love for Woo Bo Young. His smile was everything! I later realized him being so monotone actually made his actions towards the FL so much more especial. I just wished the viewer could have gotten to know a bit more about his personal life because many time he felt like a side character, two-dimensional. All-in-all I like how the romance evolved from admiration to well, love.

I had a love-hate relationship towards Shin Min Ho. The writer made him really impulsive and hypocritical. I mean all the characters were hypocritical at some point. They all grew more likable as the drama progressed.

Stayed For The Storyline

To begin, I enjoyed the story, but I did have higher hopes for it. It’s nice that the drama was based-off a webtoon, so i could enjoy both as they have some different plot changes.

The execution was mediocre in terms of Cha Eun Woo’s acting, but I wasn’t expecting much from him either way. At one point, his acting really made me wish idols weren’t allowed to act bc they mostly always ruin the dramas. This drama could have been wayyy better if the male lead had been someone with more experience because Eun Woo was just too stiff and emotion-less. I tried to understand that in the webtoon the male lead is also pretty emotion-less, but come on they could’ve atleast taught Eun Woo how to lossen up and try to express himself through his physical movements/actions if he was not at par with facial expressions yet. But I conformed because he was just starting out in acting; I get it he’s still a rookie.

Even if he was really ruining the whole drama for me, I ultimately also decided to stay for the storyline. Besides him I actually enjoyed everyone else’s acting. Kang Mi Rae made me cry with her so many times. This one hit me pretty hard because of the conflict and overall message that is seen a lot in today’s society. BUT I do have to say she was also awkward at times. Instead of acting as a shy person, it just came out very unnatural. Chemistry between the leads was more awkward than heart-melting, to say the least.

The antagonist, I truly disliked her character up until the very end, she was so annoying. I’ve seen people like her irl so it riled me up even more lol. And well that meant that she truly was good at portraying such a two-faced character.

Everyone had their flaws which is nothing new in kdramas, so that no longer stopped me from continuing the drama, and I’m glad I watched it to the end. It left me happy and satisfied unlike most kdramas nowadays lol.

I’m probably rambling on, but I’ll quickly add tht I enjoyed the OST for the most part. My favorite song was “Something” by george & Gang Haein. Ugh everytime there was a scene with this soundtrack, I’d get goosebumps and the feels! (´?`??)?

Well those were my two cents. Overall I would actually recommend this drama.

A drama that left me with mixed feelings about it. I literally stared at the screen for a few minutes trying to process the last episodes. I was stoked for this drama and hyped myself up for it which was a mistake to begin with. I pretty much set myself up to be disappointed. I know the ending could've been worse, but unfortunately, I was still left unsatisfied.

Story
To start off, the plot-line was something absolutely new to me. I had never seen a parallel universe type of drama as far as I can remember, so this concept was refreshing to see. It started off slow but promising. The first half of the drama seemed to lean more towards a full on rom-com genre with the always so present weak villain story-line. That obviously changed by the second half when it got serious and the writers started throwing everything at us. This was a huge mistake. There was now a time constraint to fully explore and execute the thriller side of the story that by the time the focus switched the audience had no idea what was going on. There was so many different conflicts back-to-back that were then quickly resolved without further or very limited explanation. We were just supposed to go along with the it. Up until episode 13, I was able to make inferences through context clues to find a suitable explanation and justification for an action that had taken place and how it progressed the story. After ep 13 all reason left the chat. Time traveling came to the picture followed up with a half-@ssed explanation for it's cause. I was honestly confused the whole time up until the end, it was hella rushed.

As for the romance, it quickly progressed in the first few episodes which was a bit unexpected. I was a appalled by the way Jung Tae Eul quickly accepted the fact that a parallel universe was possible and especially how she just suddenly fell head-over-heels for Lee Gon, almost overnight. Some scenes were just too forced. I saw no buildup to the the romance, If there was then perhaps the leads lacked the chemistry to relay those emotions to the audience.
Although, mostly all the romantic scenes were cliche af, I must admit at some point I became fond of their love. I did notice the main leads scenes began to turn repetitive, aka the running towards each other for a long deep embrace, with tears in their eyes followed up with crying. At first it was heart-wrenching to see them temporarily part ways, but it eventually became tiresome seeing the same thing play out every other episode. Romance was pretty much filler because director had no idea how to progress the main plot.

If the romance had been a slow-burn type this drama might have been more positively received. The concept was too ambiguous for the writers and directors to then go and purely focus on romance. It just became a watered down version of something that had the potential to become extraordinary, if only it focused more on the technicality and function of parallel universes. One thing I will add is that some of the plot-twists, I did not see coming. They added a great deal to the story.

I honestly expected too much from this drama.

Acting/Cast
The main reason watching this, made it worth it at the end. Props to all the actors for taking on the role of two different characters and doing it extremely well. It was very convincing that at times I truly believed they were two different people, it never felt awkward or obvious. The main cast were very likable and each character had their own persona and quirks which made them unique. You can go from absolutely loving one character to despising the other even though they are played by the same actor.

Rewatch Value
Will maybe rewatch from time to time for those cute scenes between the leads when they were in kingdom of corea. Of course also for Jo Eun Sub and Jo Young's funny scenes.

Korean movies never fail to make me cry. I actually liked the movie more than I thought I would. Zombie-theme movies always end up being cringy, but it was greatly executed. There were some awkward cgi moments, but the story and acting really helped carry the idea.

Acting was top-notch! As always Gong's acting is superior. I was really surprised by the little girl's acting. In the beginning I felt she was too stiff, but wow, towards the end you can see how much she had developed her character.

Loved the cast. I literally recognised every major character because I had seen them all in other projects they were in. I really felt for them. I love that everyone's characters were given a chance to shine. I really thought the movie was onky going to focus on the father and daughter. Happy I was wrong.

Will for sure recommend this to a friend because it's honeslty a pretty good Korean movie. ????????
