Had Potential but Got Ruined by a Flimsy Script
I have a love hate relationship with Goo Hye Young, I do like that she's persevering and doesn't give any two shits what other people think but sometimes she acts too rashly, I just want to go inside the movie and tell her character to think thoroughly about the things she's about to do, especially in the restaurant scene confronting a Chairman and giving the only evidence you have away I was just dumbfounded, What did she fucking expect? She could've made another copy of the recording but oh well. Throughout the whole movie, I want some sort of clarity with her character, thankfully she showed some of vulnerability in the last act of the film, and I did like the bulldozing scene. How the movie presented itself was quite messy and because of that some scenes were boring and the pacing was just off thankfully Kim Hye Yoon yet again did amazing acting wise, she never fails to impress me. The movie had so much potential to give a realistic approach about how people deal with debt and such but it was just messy and hard to follow with unlikable characters sprinkled in the mix.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A origin perseverance film with alot of HEART
I went in with this movie because of Wi Ha Joon, he is one of my favorite actors and I have a huge crush on him. I had expectations that his movie will be a gritty story about prison and school violence based on the posters and I didn't read any spoilers as well but I was pleasantly surprised to see that this movie was more heartwarming and inspiring. The whole message of the movie is quite simple, "Do not give up, fight harder day by day." and they clearly sent that message across. The plot was nothing new nor fresh but it was enjoyable. The main character, Cha Woo Sol played magnificently by Kim Min Seok was a believable sympathetic character and his character growth was great. Wi Ha Joon as Jung Do Hyun, was a great mentor he didn't appear as much as I hope would've been but he was the main heart of this film especially to the main protagonist. The antagonist Seok Chan was played greatly by Jung Won Chang, even though his whole character arc was just ok, I needed more layers to his character. The other side characters, Sang Yeop (The mature captain) and Ahn Hyun Min were likable but I needed more of them though. The action sequences were well choreographed and the pacing was fast and exciting. I felt like this was an origin film, and based on the comments I red down below there is an upcoming TV series sequel to this, if it ever happens this movie is a great introductory to the characters and story so that the TV series could expand more. Also, the ending cracked me up.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A fun and delightful pirate comedy flick
I had so much expectations with this because of the trailer which looked pretty well made with the special effects and the star studded lineup of Kang Ha Neul, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Kwang Soo, Se Hun and Chae Soo Bin. I am not a big fan of Pirate flicks but this one was a fun and a delightful watch packed with amazing physical comedy by Kang Ha Neul and fun back and forth dialogue between the characters which made it funny and effective. The special effects is both good and bad, the good part of the special effects is how they made the sea which for me was realistic and somewhat beautiful but let's be real here that some scenes especially in the animals the special effect was bad and jarring maybe I'm just used to high end special effects from western movies that's why when I see a bad CGI effect it bugs me but it didn't really made a big impact for me personally. The story is quite fast paced, which for some might not be their taste but for me it's ok here even though, I really wanted to see the whole world develop, the character backstories and the antagonist be more fleshed out. Making this a series maybe 6 or 8 episode would be a delight but as a movie, it's great as well. Kang Ha Neul is obviously the star of the movie, such a great actor but Han Hyo Joon, Chae Soo Bin and Kwang Soo was also funny and great as well. I wanted to see more of Se Hun, I think he was just used as eye candy in this film which I'm not complaining, his little romance with Chae Soo Bin was cute. This was a fast paced, funny film jump packed with great acting but with inconsistent CGI and a story not really well fleshed out due to fast pacing.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A refreshing romantic slice of life story
I was absolutely excited seeing Kim Seon Ho being partnered up with the absolutely beautiful Shin Min Ah. The ending results was absolutely beautiful with the picturesque scenery of Gongjin highlighted with the sheer talents of the cast in bringing their characters to life. A beautiful OST to blend it all in, and a consistent calm story that dictates the lives of the Gongjin residence with care and substance is also a plus. Almost of all the characters were likable and had interesting side stories to them and Kim Seon Ho's back story (revealed in ep 15) was such a tragic story bounded with the wonderful acting performance of Kim Seon Ho. The chemistry between Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho was an absolute delightful with their hilarious banters and cringy yet endearing relationship made the show even more enjoyable. If you want a little slow burn romance with a great scenic background and likable side characters then you have Hometown Cha Cha Cha to look forward to.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A Simple Story Turned Into Wonders
The overall premise if you haven't watched the show, might seem simple because it is but SIMPLICITY sometimes could work and this show showed that. Let us start with the enemies to lovers trope that the story behold upon us, the reasoning between the two's hatred for each other at the start is completely sensible, Jaeyoung being angry at Sangwoo for making him do anothe r year in College and Sangwoo being angry at Jaeyoung for ruining his organized & uptight routine. With all of this combined, the romantic progression between the two main characters makes it more interesting and not dull just like any other enemies to lovers trope. Seoham perfectly fits the character of Jaeyoung, who is flirtatious, mischievous, confident whilst also being endearing. Jaechan also portrays the organized, cold, and uptight Sangwoo. Both of their different personalities clashed together really well making swoon worthy moments. The cinematography is ok, the music though especially "Romantic Devil" was so catchy, and the other side characters are enjoyable yet lacked depth (well what do we expect the drama has only 8 episodes). Probably, the best Korean BL out there, it will be hard to top this one WATCHA.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A perfect poignat yet grim story
This was just fucking amazing through and through. I initially watched this because it won Best Drama in Baeksang, and it has Jung Hae In in it so I was intrigued and what I got was a poignant yet dark grim sad story showcasing the broken military system in South Korea. I can't even count the amount of frustration and anger when I was watching the abuse and mistreatment especially to Suk Bong. It perfectly showed how the Military System is broken and such, and the story was well portrayed without being too complicated and muddled. Thankfully, the show also has slight comedic and light moment because of Han Ho Yeol played fantastically by Koo Kyo Hwan. Jung Hae In was fucking amazing especially in Episode 6 the scream was so painful but the star of the show is Jo Hyun Chul as Cho Suk Bong, he gave it all in this performance. It was so heartbreaking to see probably the most kindest character in the whole show slowly descent into madness after being mistreated several times. The ending was good, it gave us opportunities for the second season and the fucking post credit scene in the last episode was shocking. Overall, a masterful korean drama with a great story, delivering a dark grim message and perfect performances from the ensemble cast. I rarely give 10, but this drama deserves it and I hope the second seasons holds up to it's predecessor.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A Beautiful Melancholic Film
I watched this movie because I watched first the TV Show version of this. I was enamored by how beautiful, thought provoking and heartbreaking this movie was, seeing two characters sharing the pain of thinking if their love would last was just heartbreaking yet also captivating. The two main protagonists were just well layered, sympathetic and you can easily connect with their characters. Yi Soo, was just fantastically portrayed by Han Hyo Joo, I love that they delved deeper into her character, seeing her trying her outmost best to understand Woo Jin even though it might cause her mental health deteriorating was sad yet touching. I also felt bad for Woo Jin throughout the movie, I could not imagine being in his shoes and he was also trying best not getting lost in the world of love because he was afraid it might affect his lover negatively. This movie was beautifully shot, beautifully portrayed and I was just in awe, crying and smiling all throughout. I also love the underlying message of Pansexuality, especially in the end of the film. Yi Soo did not care about the gender of Woo Jin, because she is attracted/fell in love with Woo Jin's personality which was uplifting to see. All of the A-list actors/actresses that portrayed Woo Jin were also good and I love that they ended the movie in a beautiful scenery in Czech Republic. Overall, a touching movie with great performances from the ensemble cast and a unique concept.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A Good Movie But An Inferior Sequel
We start off with the end of the first movie, This movie heavily relies on the backstories of the three main guardians while Don Lee's character is served to be the movie's emotional narrator of the backstories. The backstories was really well done and the lore was not confusing especially with the big plot twist at the end. I do have to agree to someone that the pacing and sudden jump cuts from serious emotional backstories to CGI dinosaurs was quite jarring and cohesive, even though it was fun to see Ha Jung Woo fighting dinosaurs I wanted the transition between the effusive moments to the more comical moments be more well done. Ha Jung Woo's character's past was the best out of the three, betraying his adopted brother which turned out to be Ju Ji Hoon's character and Ju Ji Hoon's past turning out to be so well thought out and a tear jerker. Ju Ji Hoon and Kim Hyang Gi obviously stole the spotlight with every scene they in, Ju Ji Hoon's comical performance with Kim Hyang Gi's more wholesome yet emotional performance makes the movie more entertaining and heartfelt. Along With The Gods: The Last 49 Days succeeds bringing the characters more depth but it suffers from unusual pacing, and transitions.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A tragic love story amidst political warfare
This drama had so much potential with it's story and script overall. Let's start with the positives, the acting of the cast was absolutely phenomenal especially Jung Hae In whom made every scene so emotional, gripping and serious. The magic of eyes in acting is so evident in here and it's effective because of Jung Hae In. Phenomenal acting from Yoon Se Ah as the strict and mysterious headmistress, Pi Seunghee and Kim Hye Yoon as the broken and annoying Kye Boon Ok both were just phenomenal but what can you expect? both actresses also did fantastic in Sky Castle. Let us start with the story, it begins with a bang with a lot of mystery, emotions and beautiful cinematography but it began to falter in the second half thankfully Kang Cheong Ya was introduced and made the story interesting again. The political and spy parts of the drama was confusing which can negatively affect the viewer's attention. If you can't make your viewers understand the main aspect of the drama which is the Political Warfare and Betrayals then you have failed. The romance between the two leads was cute but nothing special but the chemistry was there. The ending was so messy, they jump packed everything into two episodes, Man Dong's character being revealed to be a spy was poorly conveyed and the deaths of the character was also poorly executed except for Soo Ho's death scene which is probably the saddest yet best scene in the drama. The 207 girls, Kang Cheong Ya and Soo Ho's sisters disappeared without a proper conclusion on what happened to them. They also under utilized Young Ro's character, I felt like she was just a background character the whole time. The drama had ups and downs with a poorly written second half, but it had a promising script, a talented cast and beautiful cinematography to make up for it's flaws.
