a cute yet unexpectedly dark plot
Firstly, the plot was nicely paced. It was an interesting start, where Nianqin is someone with disability and a rough past. This resulted him to become a cold person to protect himself from pain. On the other hand, Wuyan is someone who is relatively positive, though a little immature at times.
To be honest, I didn’t like how the writer used two lives to act as a catalyst (though it’s just a drama) yet the pain from not being able to see the last moment of your loved ones hurt so much. I wasn’t sure she would forgive him, yet she did.
I would like to see the situation in both their perspectives. Personally, I feel that they’re both at fault, and you couldn’t just put all the blame on Nianqin, though he may have a bigger part to play. She kind of added on to Nianqin’s insecurity by hiding things from her, and he shouldn’t have denied and doubted her when she told him about her dad.
Also, I didn’t really like the way he chased her again, it felt as if he was forcing her to stay (even though I know she still had feelings for him). It was just the way they portrayed the scenes that made me feel uncomfortable.
Towards the end, they kind of touched and go (hospital scene) the healing part about her best friend, which I couldn’t really understand. I guess it was because he has done enough throughout to show her that he is her present??? However, the plot was still decent overall, and I like all the cute moments.
As for the acting, I’m looking forward to their project projects! They both did so well in this drama, clearly portraying the personalities of the characters. So glad the drama did well, and hope that people will continue to look forward to their future projects too.
As for the music, I love the OSTs!!! Yet I feel that the person who adds the sound effects shouldn’t continue working in that position because that ONE creepy sound effect throughout the ENTIRE drama is annoying af.
Overall, I enjoy the drama well. I would rewatch the cute scenes such as pouty and whiny Nianqin.
