It’s about two people that had a trauma about relationships, they found each other and started an overly long awkward relationship
Without the last misunderstanding this could’ve been way shorter
The older brother though I’d love to watch a movie with him
thing was funny about this, she didn’t trust men so she chose a naive guy and he never made a move on a woman so he needed an action taker
Simple and perfectly made for each other
The bro and daughter carried the trauma with them more that they caused the last conflict, but I was disappointed when he hit his brother when he kept saying he didn’t do anything

tbh I only watched 1ep of pt1 so I don't feel like I missed anything. which does lower it's quality, it did not need to be that longKJW was great, tbh each "vessel" did an amazing job, I am sad I didn't see LJW's but I don't care really
idk, even if they had a "message", and yes hardships aren't as bad as you think, and no that doesn't mean your feelings of despair and crippling pain aren't real or valid.. I also don't wanna drag religion, patience is a huge deal for us, and the preciousness of the souls..
so, even if you feel pain, we endure , and yes I had depression and the things he went through before he made his decision, so those feelings aren't an exaggeration, but
this whole thing was another "message" wrapped around one big mess of overused gore, and a really complicated hilarious plot..
a psychopath, a rich spoiled brat, a scheme, hunger for money and power, the cgi.. yeah they are elements, but when woven like this, it's an eyeroll..
also, I did enjoy this cuz it had less SIG, dasom did well, but the whole character of SIG's and his acting.. any other person he went in would've been a more fun main lead
also, you can see the lack of depth and base when "death" ends up in a repeated monologue the ml was too dumb to understand.. especially when the moment he entered any of those bodies, they already "died"
non of those lives were his.. he thought he made a big sacrifice with the cop, he did make that life more fulfilling, but it was not his to sacrifice, 1, death already said he can't stop a death, so if the other cop was meant to die, both would've died.. and 2, if it was so easy, why couldn't he save his gf from a weirdly angled car in a really small road..
and thus going back to the point, everyone he went into were dead, he just gained their memories, so his mom didn't survive until age took her.. she was dead and he was punished by living in her memories and the blocked future.. so yeah she was too precious for him to "kill", and those, even if he understood a person is precious, he still did not regret those 2 last murders.. out of the 12, i guess i saw 5, so idk how hard he tried to save anyone else, tho by the cop, i'd say he never tried...
anyway, they ended it with something i hate more than sad endings.. the reset... so what? will jisu still die? will they catch the psycho ceo? would the cop hunt down the bad guys? those things happened cuz ml went into their bodies, so what? he can try his hardest to live a better more grateful life, stay by his mom, but jisu? the murders? the cop, the pyramid of evil?

a good ma dongsuk watch
lol ma dongsuk loves the puns 🤣“Won’t it be hard alone”
“Yeah I’m lonely”🤣
It feels like Kim muyeol is in everything yet he’s so transparent, I can never remember him but he’s everywhere I would even say he’s been the villain to all ma dongsuk movies🤣🤣🤣
Anyway, it’s less gruesome than the previous one, I can watch madongsuk slap ppl all day 🤣 as plot and villains it was basic and honestly is it me or does all his movies end in the airport 🤣
Mom wasn’t gonna watch until I said madongsuk was in it🤣

the story is very very simple. this was better as a binge, tbh I don't think I'd have given it a chance higher than the 1st four eps and I'd have dropped it if I watched it as it aired, but it was also not as engaging as I'd have hoped. it got better by eps4-6 but as soon as it got it's footing it was so obvious how their "big picture" was going to turn out that I lost interest in the plot.the side plots were related to the big picture, each case reflected Wol Joo's own situation and concerns but they were somewhat really flat, idk, it was hard to connect to the side stories? though the messages were great and really inspirational, but they just felt too fleeting?
I know, I might be complaining too much so one would wonder why the high rating, but something the review ratings doesn't cover is the characters, their relationships and their depths.
the 3 mains had a really sweet chemistry and I highly enjoyed their bickering and "grudge" fights and I wished they'd have tried to make them a little more active outside the pop up bar, I know that was their home base but I wanted more action (and I don't mean fighting)
and even though their family bond was sweet I kinda wish they weren't related and just found comfort in each other regardless of the destiny makjang move "he's your long lost son/love" ;D
the best part for me was Kang Yeo Rin who's going to join my favorite female characters list, she was refreshing, independent, smart and always made the 1st move ❤ and I loved their chemistry, Kang Bae truly deserves the "sweet male lead" tag though I wish they focused more on them ;)
which makes me wonder, are romances better in non romance dramas because they focus on them less, so the "chase" is longer and there's no space for misunderstandings and inevitable breakups?
HWJ was slightly as overreacting as ever, but since this was a comedy it kinda fit the vibes well and I wish she'd act in another drama with Choi Won Young minus the long lost lovers theme ;D I want a pure secret like makjang
the OSTs were nice enough and I never rewatch stuff

the movie felt like 4 different movies;the 1st was the meeting of two teens, the princess and the bad boy who was rough around the edges. this might be where the good girl/bad guy complex came about. they had zero chemistry and she was way too good for him..
the 2nd, was the marriage and loveydoveyness, tbh I thought it was weird how they got married so soon in the movie but they had a lot of built up angst coming their way. they were like a different couple. he got a job and lost his carefree bad boy puberty rebelling phase.
the 3rd part was when they revealed she was sick. and this is when it started to lose points. first of we had the crazy scientist guy who told her everything so bluntly. a professional doctor who personally experienced that should ask for her to bring a family member with them for that kind of earth shattering news ;/
also, forgiveness doesn't cost money.. you should never pay your life savings "to forgive" someone, it should be the opposite if anything... and just becasue she was his mom doesn't mean he needs to put up with her bs ;/
the 4th part started when they added that stupid dramatic scene... a guy who knows his wife has alzheimer sees the door open and she's just standing with a guy so what does he do? go punch the heck out of the guy! why?! the heck?! the guy didn't even do anything, he was confused and didn't react....
like why? why just why.. I was going to give it a 8+ but that was the most ridiculous scene ever. did he think he was going to hurt her? did he think they were cheating? there were no signs, non of that explains why he beat that guy so much ;/
and then the dad goes "we will take her"... what does "through sickness and health mean".. he was willing to stay by her side. just bring in a live in nurse or something but no, she remembered everything and left him while he spent weeks(?) looking for her thinking she might be dead in a ditch ;/
and that binges me to my last point, they were really bad at explaining/showing the passage of time. beside Chul Soo ditching his ragged clothes, they looked the exact same throughout all those phases. how long did this all take? was she always 27 and him, 30ish? becasue his 1st appearance was of someone in his early 20s struggling through life.. and their last appearance was of someone in their 20s losing all of her memories and acting as if she was drunk..
and I hated the ending.. so why did she leave if they reunited and drove towards the sunset? just horrible writing ;/

here, they took revenge for this guy that "raised" the ml, but so brutally and just to teach him go.... I mean, it is a traditional game, but if you switch it to chess, it'd still be as pointless. sure they played several Saw like Go games, but everything happened just for the sake of the plot.
it's like, if it was a sport like karate or taekwondo, it'd have some action and suspense, beside the whole backstory of the sister felt like a cheap move to add to the "revenge"
Loner had a more solid reason for revenge, his dad was murdered and he got severely hurt by evil guy that raised the ml... but his story was just used as a time filler..
it's funny how a 1 hour 45min movie felt like a 5 hour one.. also this is the type of movies I hate, they add creepy and gore as a way to be edgy but it just looks silly
the acting was great of course, and I never rewatch things

I enjoyed the small side stories more, and I wish the "extra" ep actually happened in the middle so they could've used that to shake things up instead of the ceo's story.
I really hated the back story for Yoon Seo Jung. the drama started off with her as a confident strong sunbae, but they just had to add a trauma to make her weak and "interesting/open to development".. I also loved Yoon Seo Jung and Kang Dong Joo as a couple I think they were closest to a "mature" couple as dramas could get, but again that 1 random traumatic event kept them away for so long ;/
I also think their overall "big plots" were really weak. like the heart ceo's story and big fight around him was boring, and Do Yoon Wan's character existed just so they had "conflict".
my rewatch values are a 1 or 10 so ;)

But here the "unfortunate event" was going undercover as chicken restaurant owners! And their restaurant gets famous xD
That part was refreshing usually they go undercover as bad guys and become bad guys and blah blah...
The chicken part did get draggy but it was interesting to see how everything got to the last point...
And that last confrontation did have alot of noce actions scenes to wrap things up nicely..
I loved the team, each one had their own flavor and they really carried the show. Plus the comedy is exactly my style~
My rewatch value is either a 1 or a 10 and this was fun enough for a rewatch

the overall plot though was really basic, the same old story told the exact same way with slight drag and a small twist? and things seemed to "wrap" up fast after all of that fighting..
+ the raw emotions, I'm a sucker for a sob story and this made me tear up alot..
+ the characters and the acting
- it needed less episodes, maybe 6?

Uma História Para Ler Quando se Apaixonar

pink hair likes her becasue he's looking for a mother figure/someone who'll devote their time to him. while the fl is just like kyoko? she gets obsessed with things because she looks at them as a project, but pink hair thinks he's special and then there's the fact that pink guy is also falling for her "pureness" and drunkenness ;/
cousin guy is literally family, and even though I guess it's normal but again it's like worse than being friend zoned, she doesn't see him as a man and he's way too obsessed with the "image" he had of her for 10 years which is extremely burdensome, like dude, if you couldn't confess for 10 years then it's too late move on!
teacher guy again is the only normal one, but he too seems to be still hang up on the fact that she devoted her time to help him (he was that kid right? xD) and unless he is the "one" I don't want to watch this
then the fl. her talk about back pain and the cane drives me nuts, she's not 90! and then that falling scene, I hate that move ;/
and she's being way too skinshipy with the kids, and she's like forcing herself in their friends group trying to relive her youthfulness or more like try to put herself in a position where she's the most mature because around people her age she's extremely naive.
I used to like reverse harem because it gave diverse relationships and choices, but it's more like she's so clueless that she can't see how everyone mercilessly likes her...

the law stuff is booorrriing, yet another revenge story with evil people doing evil stuff and talking about it over dinner.. korean villains are become like the LAMOS from totally spies
the worst part is the lack of balance between serious and comedy. one second they're all hotshot poker face people and the next they're like Goofy the Disney character
the fl is super over reactive, she's a walking 2nd hand embarrassment and the ML is like a giant baby throwing tantrums
then there's the whole mess of the tenants, everyone is out of a parody textbook, I literally couldn't care less about them. just pointless time and space fillers
basically all of this criticism is directed at the writer, they just kept repeating their comedic sense from chief kim and kept repeating it in different settings
also Kim Nam Gil, Namgoong Min and Hani are made for this comedic sense but Song Joong Ki and Jun Yeo Bin are better off in serious roles
the plus side, my girl got another casting call and I loved her outfits, honestly she looked so hot in the stills..
She's more comically aggressive than Hani, Baek Inha, Veronica Park, Hwang Jungeum and even Lee Yori...
I went from "aw my girl is a total boss lady", to "aw look she's acting cute" and ended with "what the heck is wrong with her"...
And worse the other smart boss lady is also as over reactive with the weird dance and crazy facial expressions. That is not comedy and I loved Pegasus Market and Spring turns to Spring

She's being like those scary managers that tell idols to shush and the idols look over the camera and their face changes
Basically zero understanding of romance like the scene she was filming him and he leaned in too much and they reached the floor in such a cheesy nonsensical way...
Where is the bromance? Even the group isn't bonding and mingyu is so stiff the only chemistry is with that black dressed guy who barely had any scenes so basically byyyeeeee

Psycho But It's Not Okay
this is ridiculous! honestly this is not makjang, this is psychopathicness................................ and like it's not a "I don't believe this" but this is just taking the most extreme idea and acting as if it's "original" or "revolutionary".everyone is crazy, everyone is a psychopath and everyone is a self centered entitled brat, not just the kids EVERYONE.
I hate that I'm dropping this because the actors are amazing, and most of them are my favorites, but this just makes my blood boil...
honestly I was laughing so hard, and I was rolling my eyes every 2 seconds..
1- I said if Seol Ah turns out to be Soo Ryun's daughter I'd drop it and guess what... (and that's my point, the 1st most ridiculous crazy idea comes to mind and that's what the writer used. that's just basic) that's what they're implying and I don't even want to see them "shock" the viewers ;/
2- Seo Jin is a psychopath, she doesn't just want to win, she wants to make her competitors suffer.
3- Dan Tae is a psychopath, that scene where he hired gangsters and killed Soo Ryun's husband in a dramatic way was just so infuriatingly ridiculous. but he also proceeds to cut his finger and KEEP IT.
4- Yoon Hee is a victim but she, just like her daughter and seol ah, fuels the fires of those psychopaths. like yes she had to be angry but to threaten seo jin to the point she slashed her throat? that's crazy on both ends
5- one 15 year old against a gang load of crazy psychopathic rich people... honestly she messed with the wrong bunch and she pretends that they're out to get her;
A- she fakes her identity and pokes the crazy cubs.
B- she takes pictures of the 2 psychopaths having an affair
C- she wins against yoon hee's victim mentality and her daughter
D- she literally threw a match on the already angry and crazy bunch and she exposes the kids bullying (like girl you should've just went to the cops and the newspapers. sold the exclusive, got money and went to France to sing real opera)
F- she walks with her own two 15 YEAR old feets to the enemies' lair and she gets kidnapped. then killed...
6- non of the middle schoolers looked 15, they looked 20 as they were ;/ honestly is it so hard to cast actual 15 year olds ;/
7- yoon hee literally was ready to KILL a 15 year old for a spot in a highschool! like just save your money and move to France! she should've moved 15 years ago tbh, no one there would've cared that she lost ONE award. (which she makes it sound like that ruined her life, no it was your threats against a psychopath)
8- everyone else is just as crazy and self conscious, you'd think money would make them happy ;/
9- the 1st weeks eps were almost 2 hours!
10- in sky castle the kids were mostly ok, and the characters were driven by their pasts. and for world of the married it was a revenge story about a cheating husband and the clueless wife (though the 2nd half and ending did reach the overboard makjang) but this, this was purely made for "how crazy can it get" and koreans love that but it just makes me role my eyes and compare it to The 100 which is a dystopian story xD
11- bae rona is crazy, she lost 1 competition and she was about to slash her throat! yes talent matters, but you can't always win, and you certainly need to know your battles.. again like there aren't 2 opera people in the world, she should've looked for someone else but no she blames her mom ;/ smh it is the mom's fault she didn't raise her right..
12- honestly opera is not a rich people hobby, they can't buy vocals with money and honestly buying people's opinion doesn't matter once everyone sees they have no talent, they literally had no reason for all of them to peruse opera. they could've just chose classical music.
13- the kids didn't need to be 15. they could've been 18 year olds fighting to enter their top 3 universities, were they afraid becasue the top3 were called SKY xD
14- two 40+ year olds literally kidnapped and possibly killed a 15 year old ;/
the good, that are sad becasue I'm dropping this
1- I honestly LOVE the actresses here, I've been waiting for Lee Ji Ah since Ghost Detective, Kim So Yeon since Mother Of Mine and this was my 1st time seeing Rohee's mom Eugene and they are all such amazing actresses!
2- the setting, the outfits, the makeup, the visuals are all so beautiful
3- this was my most anticipated drama ever since I heard about the castings ;(
this saddens me more than hating When I was The Prettiest and Alice becasue I expected something beautiful and amazing ;(
I actually love opera and the ost were nice but I can't take that plot

they should've just made this into a romcom, Kang Ji Min is a really sweet ml who never snooped or judged which is refreshing but it takes away the spice of makjangs, and woojoo was an adorable baby girl. Lee Il Hwa is also great in here but tbh as an evil mother in law she only needed 1 DNA test to prove the relationship between the fl and her daughter, so like it didn't need 7eps for her to find out but atleast it's better than alice and the detective not having a DNA test on his mom's look alike ;/

I’m not in this for the angst so I’m not gonna lie after the first half, it became a snoozeShe’s so frustrating that she doesn’t see his intentions
And he’s tooo cute man I can’t take it, when she’s talking about her likes and dislikes and he’s just so invested that he was like yeah write it all down and give it to me, the dude is the greenest flag
before the synopsis change, and not reading it, ie not knowing this will be a cliche childhood connection, I had fun thinking it's an anti cliche, 2ml is the childhood connection and ml/fl loved each other as normal adults...
but If she’s 30, and he's 36, so as kids, it doesn't make sense for him to not forget a literal baby, if he was 12 and she was 6...
he was 16, she was 10... sure his life didn't revolved around love so he never dated, and he liked her again as a new person and he was happier she was the same kid
but she never forgot him, and again tho she liked him back as an adult and didn't know the truth till the end, but boom instead of more getting to know one another she was satisfied that was him
so things went down with that revelation, and 2ml became a creep that watched kids shows..
tho I am happy in small ways, they did become interested in each other just because, and their "dating" stage began before she knew he was the one she obsessively was looking for
and no matter the "destiny", I wished it wasn't such a big force in the plot, but otherwise they didn't have much plot and it's one draggy plot
Like I don’t understand how this annoyingly over aegyo fl unfit for her 30year old self, finally finally not only finds her creepy childhood crush, but also that adorable natural aegyo ml who she age shames for being older than her, and she doesn’t jump up at him and act double the cheesy aegyo together? Cuz now she’s too busy with work??
how did she never go around hugging him like dang girl was acting like she’s too good for him
