I am new to Kdrama started watching them due to the Covid19 home confinement in my city. I am hooked and have watched many of them. I keep coming back to this one title and have viewed it around 5 times in a very short period.

Some of the acting is a bit over the top and the male lead's laugh initially is quite grating however as the story progresses it just fits into his personality in the drama.

The chemistry between Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara is some of the best I have seen. The romance is cute and the longing for each other is very realistic . The camera stays on the face of the actors for just the right amount of time so that facial expressions can convey the emotions in addition to the vocalisation.

If you want to be entertained and enjoy a great love story then this is the Kdrama for you. Just the best!

Boring boring boring

This drama has so many idiotic and simply stupid scenarios. The FL supposedly has amnesia so instead of a confident woman (which she was as the original persona) we have a timid mealy mousy boring annoying person. Everyone except the baddies are not overly bright. The husband cant tell the difference between chalk and cheese.....

After 10 episodes of stupid instances that have transpired relating to the pouty pathetic FL I just cannot stand it any more. The family of the FL also has some missing brain cells.

The writer should be made to watch this cr.p over and over again. It portrays Korean females yet again as simpering idiots - so unfair.

There is no chemistry between the FL and ML how could there be with such pathetic writing and directing. Don't waste your time with this nonsense.

Superb

This drama is one of the best that I have seen since TMOPB and GMP there is depth to the story, there is realistic portrayal of human emotions albeit good and bad, OK the toxic relationship between the Emperor and Ta Lin would not be one that many would enjoy however this type of relationship is very probable given the backstory, and how the death of a loved one can screw you up mentally. Yang Mi is just great as the FL, it is highly unlikely that another actress could have portrayed the role as beautifully as she does. The actors have been cast on point, each person selected for their ability to bring to life this very emotionally complex story. Also the SML and SFL story is wonderful to watch not the usual annoying SL's where most of the scenes are fillers. In this drama they shine.

Whether we have a HE or SE matters not to me its the experience of the drama that matters and this is one hell of a ride to date. Kudos to all concerned in the production of this very bittersweet story.
