A Very Gripping Drama

It was good and it all wrapped up quite nicely. The romance was the little ray of light peaking through the melancholy cracks of darkness that was this drama. This poor woman...The show had a way of lulling you with legalistic mumbo jumbo, and sulleness, and then right before you had the urge to bail or skim, BAM!! Something traumatic would suddenly occur and suck you right back in. The unravel of it all was entirely satisfactory, every video and voice recording didn't leave the slightest doubt and I relished every minute of finally seeing that evil man get his come upins. It normally wouldn't be my type of drama, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

An Intense Thrill ride!

Wow...Just wow. I never knew what was coming next. Okay so the romance between the main girl and the guy from the past is only seen in flashbacks but it's so realistic and so pure and innocent, I loved watching every interaction they had. The acting was top tier and the storyline kept you guessing till the end. I love the duo of the 2 main leads, I love the friendship and the trust that they built. I hated the villian more than Ive hated any kdrama villian so far.It was Fantastic...That being said the reason this drama did not recieve a 10 star from me was because of the ending. Now I have learned in the Kdrama world, a common downfall many of them are unsatisfactory endings. This one was unfortunately no different. The ending was not horrible by any means, it just didn't tye it up in a nice full circle bow like a wanted. I really could've done with one final scene where the couple we'd been watching and feeling sorry for could've seen eachother. Besides that it was great ?

A Friends Lovers Whirlwind

Lee Jung Suk and Park Shin Hye! Their chemistry as friends is so believable and the concept of a person who can't lie without hiccuping is so much fun. Their family dynamics are entertwined in a messy, dramatic knot and these two precious beans are just caught in the middle. I love that we not only get to see them grow up together but pursue the same profession together, untangle their family trauma together and reveal corruption and crimes together! It was a great ride. I also love the brother and side Oppa is so sweet and you feel so sorry for him at the end. It was a solid drama and a for sure must watch.

Calling all Oppa Addicts!

Adorable. Simply adorable. It felt like a choose your own adventure book, but with hot Oppas. It's every Kdrama girl's fantasy and if you know that going in you can love it for what it is; a long daydream we've all had. It was also surprisingly funny as each storyline poked fun at a Kdrama trope. It was a short watch but thoroughly enjoyable. It was so much fun and seeing all my Oppas in one drama made me giddy! It's definitely worth the watch especially for a long time Kdrama fan

It's definitely a Rain/Kim Bum fix, not much more

It was sweet, simple and satisfactory. Nothing to write home about honestly, Kim Bum was precious and pure perfection as he is in everything, the villains were basic and nonintimidating, I didn't care about the main romance at all and the side romance was just a few lines from being nonexistent. The story line undoubtedly could've been summed up in 12 episodes, the backstories were straightforward, with very little plot twists and the side characters were fine. Also the main ghosty guy was cool but I honestly have no idea why he had to stick around for like 15 years. I wish Rain and Bum had better chemistry but I just didn't feel it as strongly as I wanted to. The ending wrapped up with little to no conflict and complete resolution. It was a lighthearted, easy ride. Kind of like a GAC movie, nothing over the top or super deep.

Nothing compared to the 2nd season.

? Honestly this one left me wanting...I felt like the chemistry between the 2 main leads was not believable, not only that but the plot point of Lee Dong Wook NOT abandoning his little brother that he CLEARLY abandoned irked me!! He literally left him for atleast a decade, only to show up to kill him and leave him for dead and then instead of dealing with the issue he let's 600 years pass before telling his brother the truth and even then he doesn't really own up to the reasonable trauma he caused Rang. Instead he just gaslights him into believing he was a good brother even though he clearly wasn't. Idk I just feel like if the writers wanted to convince us that Dong Wook was actually a good big bro then they should've tried harder. Speaking of Bros, the bromance had more chemistry than the romance and Lee Rang STOLE THE SHOW!! He was the best thing in the show, and the fact that they gave him a family just to do him dirty at the end was just wrong! It just left me angry! He deserved more, he and his family were way more interesting than the main couple, sorry not sorry. That being said it was a well written story and obviously kept me watching since I binged it in 2 sick days but in the end it was bittersweet and it just bummed me out. Rang didn't even get to say goodbye...Ugh!! Not fair! Honestly it doesn't hold a candle to season 2.

A Must Watch!(And I don't say that often)

Best drama I've seen in a ages! The Bromance was lit, the romance was fleshed out perfectly & was the sweetest mix of dramatic and beautiful, it made me want a boyfriend. ?The storyline was truly award winning! ? Every moment was pure joy, not a second wasted. They built relationships you root for and a plot that keeps you on your toes one story at a time. It was one major story threaded inside multiple well crafted small stories. All 4 villains kept you from getting bored or from one of them lacking, because there was a new threat every time you turned around. It was intense, heartwarming and had just enough humor to keep it from being too heavy. The beautiful 9 tailed Brothers are addictive, I could watch them for 10 seasons. Can't wait for season 3. The ending didn't even leave me devastated like I thought it would. It was exceptional, immaculate, a masterpiece!! It's gonna be real hard to top.

It was not very good in my opinion

It was decent, fine. The romantic tension was okay, but I felt like it was lacking. The villains were just bad, the one lady was more bark than bite she could literally not do anything and the guy acted like he was asleep the entire time. Neither one of them had any depth or back story. I have no idea why they were doing what they were doing. Side characters were fine, I didn't totally dislike them and at moments I even kind of liked them. I never figured out what was up with the crown princess, did she love the king or did she not? I also have no idea why they kept her ghost alive, like were they trying to drive him crazy enough to abdicate? The last episode was good but a bit drawn out, some things that happened just for dramas sake had zero consequence later on or was resolved very quickly and at the end of it left the thing that happened pointless to the story or character growth. All in all not bad but I've seen better.

Very intriguing plotline

This was probably the darkest Kdrama I've ever watched thus far. It was very grungy and grey. The premise was intriguing and very realistic. There were no heroes or villains only people. You didn't really like anyone except Seung Ho's character(who you felt bad for) it made for an interesting story since you didn't really have a preference it allowed you to follow the plot in a freer way without bias. Most of it was the tug a war between 3 people and 3 goals. One just wanted to survive, one wanted to do the right thing and the other wanted to clean up his mistakes with money nomatter what. It was a cool dynamic. There was a surprising turning of the tables at the end that was able to resolve the conflict and make sense. The ending was sad but also very realistic. It felt like a cautionary tale about what can happen when you allow yourself to be desperate enough to cross a line and how impossible it is to cross back over once you've gone.

Kim Bum!!

This drama had a well rounded plot with decent side characters. The characters were all likable, but were all pretty cookie cutter basic, we didn't get to know any of the good guys well enough to love them which made me root for the villian at times. The main girl was great in her role as leading detective, however Kim Bum was phenomenal in his role. He has more depth in his twisted character than all the heroes combined, also his acting is extraordinarily frightening! His darkness, devastation and strange devotion to his mom is so perfectly displayed. His devil smile and cocky eyebrows keep you loving to hate him and not wanting it to end. The ending wrapped up as well as I expected but honestly if Kim Bum was not in it, I would say it's fine but you could be watching better things. His performance carries the show, honestly, it's impeccable. His psychopathic subtly is strong enough to keep you afearing for your life and the life of others, the upsetting thing is you find yourself wanting him to win, because he's just too good. That and you really feel for his poor mom whose in denial. They kept showing the main girls family to get us to care but its all pretty tedious, while the Baek and Mom character on the villains end, bring out pity and concern from the viewer. Its sad when you hope a main good guy character dies just to make things more interesting. Kim Bum (Much like Tale of 9 tailed season 1) outranked everyone else once again, he's supurb. At the end of the day I'll wrap it up by saying Rojoon's last words; "It was fun."
