What a story line. A MUST WATCH !

Mr. Queen is so special to my heart. I was hesitant to watch it at first. I thought oh another romcom with a body swap. I was bored with romcoms actually. But the Mr. Queen trailer kept following me everywhere on Instagram, So I decided to give it a go. And I'm fully satisfied with the desicion.
The first episode was kind of overdone. The visual effects was kinda bad and the comedy was too simple and easy to predict at the first episode.(but please don't underestimate the drama, you'll miss a lot.) I mean you can imagine the comedy in body swap.But it was enjoyable. I don't lie about that. You can laugh out loud. So I thought the comedy would be the main part of the drama.
And actually the OST "Bong Hwan Aaaa" was really good. That OST was ringing inside my head for weeks when the drama started. Other OSTs of the drama are pretty damn good as well. Specially the OST " Here I am ".
As the drama progressed, the genre started to change. I thought the drama would be pure comedy. But it was not. It had so many other aspects to it. That's when the drama showed it's true colours.The drama has so many plot twists as well. So you'll enjoy it more.
I mean the queen's character development is unbelievable. I felt like Queen is completely different when I started rewatching from the beginning. The romance was great. The politics were great. And her cooking skills were even greater. It felt like comedy version of "Dae Jang Guem" at times.
The chemistry between the actors were great. I mean they deserve the recognition.Everyone really pulled it off. I'm so satisfied with their acting. I really wish they win so many awards for the drama.
And the cinematography is so nice. I mean every shot of the drama is so beautiful. So pleasing to the eye. Nice post production. Loved each and every scene. Drama was so beautiful from the beginning to end. Of course you can see the photos from MDL photos section and admire the beauty.
The Korean remake was miles better than the China original version.The ending of the drama is pretty neutral. At the end you'll think a lot about human nature and who we really are. The drama is so worth watching. What ever happens it will be beautiful.
2020 was a good year for kdrama fans. So many good drama were aired. And I rank Mr. Queen in the top 3.

A fresh overview for K-dramas

This drama is absolutely a roller coaster ride. The story itself is refreshing to the K-dramas audience. I'm talking specifically about K-drama audience. I haven't watched that many C-drama fantasies. But I have a feeling there would be much more similar C- drama titles.

I absolutely love this drama. Combining all 20 episodes it was a good drama and I'm looking forward for part 2 in December.

This drama is special for so many reasons.
1. A very high quality production
2. A good casting selection with best acting
3. A heart grabbing fantasy story line
4. Some lovely OSTs (one of my fav OSTs ever)
5. One of the best comedy plots ever. Yes this drama is not all about fantasy and action.
6. Some of the best action scenes for a fantasy drama

The cons of the drama
1. Not enough action scenes for this type of drama.
2. Drama has a lot of comedic elements for a fantasy action drama. (some people may not enjoy it)
3. Filler scenes can get annoying for some people. (Binge watching might help)
4. The storyline can have little plot holes (but hopefully will be answered in part 2).
5. The complex storyline can be too much for some people.
6. The wait for season 2 (yes you have to absolutely watch it)

This drama seems like the COMBINATION of following dramas (from what I have watched)
1. Mr. Queen (Yes, this drama includes a lot of comedy. But not to the point of Mr. Queen / Soul shifting is involved just like Mr. Queen).
2. Hotel del Luna (After all this was a Hong sister's work. Definitely have some parallels).
3. Bulgasal (ML and FLs love /hate fate is KIND OF similar).

Not your typical medical drama

I absolutely loved the drama. I rewatched it about 7 times I guess. This is absolutely not your typical medical drama. The drama depicts medical officers as ordinary people. Drama revolves around everyday life of 5 best friend doctors.
Don't let the first episode fool you. You might think drama is clumsy. But it is not. You'll get to experience different kinds of romantic relationships as there are 5 leads here. From mature relationships to lovebird relationships.
The drama has its own fun element too. You can laugh out loud. And you can cry out loud as well. The drama will give you an emotional rollercoaster depending on which episode you are watching.
The actors and actresses are doing their job well. Of coarse there are 5 main characters. So a lot can happen during a single episode. I feel very single character(major / minor) is important to this drama. They make the drama worth watching.I love their acting and their dedication to their roles. Leading characters had to learn musical instruments for the drama. And they all play the songs themselves. They even have a band called "Mido and parasol" now.
Speaking of musical instruments, I have to mention about the OSTs. They are absolutely amazing. I love everything single one of them. This drama has the best OSTs among 25+ kdramas I have ever watched. Every episode of the drama has a band scene. So you get to listen to a lot of music. Because this is Hospital PLAYLIST. And this is my fav playlist.
I can't wait for the season 2.
