Byung-in Ugh

Byung-in seriously disgusts me. It’s amazing how he completely deluded himself into believing he’s not just a jealous, pathetic asshole but someone acting in the interest that of the queen. What? You’re gonna kill him the baby’s father, the queen’s husband, then try to replace him? Fuckin psycho. He’s worse than his father. At least his father is strong and self-aware enough to know he’s an ass. He doesn’t delude himself into believing he’s a good person. Sick.

Absolutely Beautiful

This episode was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Outstanding. I cried too.

Here’s my problem...

My problem with this episode and their entire situation is that she wasn’t willing to leave her family behind to go with him while he followed his dreams but she was willing to leave them AND HIM behind to follow hers. I find that to be so selfish, unreasonable and unacceptable. Granted, there’s no way he’d have left anyway with his grandma being sick but it’s the level of commitment and caring she shows him that I have a HUGE problem with. Don’t get me started on the second and third couples. It’s one thing for us women to be strong and ambitious. It’s another thing to show their men whom they supposedly love that their valued and precious to them. Men have their pride too and these men are all good enough to compromise and give up things to support and accept and love their women as they are (which is SOOOO special and rare). But these women all treat them as afterthoughts. In my opinion, these are all examples of the uglier side of feminism, when it’s taken just a little too far. I absolutely love this drama but could totally understand why men would have become more anti-feminist after watching it.Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying they should give up on, or compromise on their dreams and careers. I’m simply saying they should also make more of an effort to show the men they’ve chosen to be with that they’re just as important too. The men work so hard at accepting and understanding these women but the women just don’t seem to give, or be willing to give, the same level of consideration in return. If you flip the script we’d all be calling the men selfish assholes who don’t treat their women very well. However! I’m really impressed with how well the writer addressed and resolved those concerns. I didn’t feel like I was cheated or forced to accept the men caving to their women. By the end of the episode I was truly at peace with their decisions and with the way each individual handled themselves, without compromising their own convictions. Very nicely done!

Again, this show!!!

Lord! This show this show this show! Absolutely addictive and amazing. I’m in love with everything about it. I think the only series I’ve ever seen before that I love more than this in my lifetime has been Game of Thrones (with the exception of the final season) and that’s saying something. I’m talking on a GLOBAL scale this series so far is a full 10 out of 10.

My God this show!

I’m in love. With the whole lot of them. How in the world is this just acting? This is so REAL. Amazing. Simply amazing. And the writers better win crazy awards for this drama too. I don’t even care what happens next. I just know it will be great.

Ooooooh!

OMG! I would have had that soon-to-be-ex (better be!) boyfriend of hers crying in a corner somewhere by the time I was done with him if I were her! Ooooh!

Just wrong!

I’m sorry but why is it all on Jung Rok to resolve the situation with this trial. Had the police and prosecution properly investigated the case in the first place he wouldn’t have had to be the one to introduce the 3rd party to the crime/murder. He did his job of showing reasonable doubt for his client at the time. It was then up to the police and prosecution AGAIN to verify the facts of the case against the new suspect - they already didn’t properly investigate a confession in the 1st murder trial, you’d think they’d make damn sure to properly investigate the 2nd time; and what was up with that crappy attorney the 2nd suspect had? He didn’t do a damn thing to help his client who’s clearly mentally impaired. Why didn’t he know he only stabbed the victim once? - So now that Jung Rok is trying to get to the truth everyone’s getting on him?? He’s the only one who’s been doing his job properly all along!

Bong Ki and Hee Ji

It’s my third time rewatching this series and I still love it. I laugh so hard. But! Like pretty much everyone I’ve despised the whole secondary relationship between Bong Soon’s brother, Bong Ki, and Gook Doo’s now-ex-girlfriend, Hee Ji. I don’t care how they try to spin it - their behavior was nasty as hell. I can’t stand that girl, not at all. But at least she got around to (somewhat) fessing up before Gook Doo eventually finally broke up with her himself (though she’d probably still be stringing him along otherwise, while she made certain things would work out with Bong Ki first). That heifer even had the gall to get mad when she thought he’d been cheating on her! No, Ho! You’re the skank cheating with his CLOSE FRIEND!Bong Ki on the other hand started seeing his friend’s girl behind his back and was even blatantly about to take her out on their official first date with Gook Doo still completely in the dark. How f’d up is that? At the VERY least, before he decided to officially date her, he should have at least made Dook aware of his feelings for her. At no point whatsoever did he try to stop seeing his boy’s girl, nor did he try to fess up. He’s just as despicable as she is. And Bong Soon even called them out, yet they still kept on. Ughhh! Show the friendship at least a LITTLE respect man! Disgusting. I hate that kind of behavior.

How Rude was that?

If you find a designer’s secret room with clothes hidden inside, what in the world would make you think it’s okay to take them all out and try them on?! I’d have lost my shit (excuse my language) and I’m not even close to being as unapproachable as he is. Her behavior was completely rude and insensitive!

Enough is enough!

I was really loving this drama up until the end of ep 9, but 10 and 11 are completely ruining it for me! Does this chick not see anything wrong with spending all her time and special moments with her MALE “friend” (who clearly shows signs that he may be interested in more that she also clearly seems to pick up on but chooses ignore) instead of her boyfriend?! Her birthday! She spends it with him instead and doesn’t even call her boyfriend? I really what to know the rest of this story but I’m starting to think I’m going to end up dropping the series by the end of this episode.

Si Yi’s Dirty Move

I didn’t really care for Song Si Yi’s unwarranted possessive behavior from the get go, but that shitty move he pulled outside the cafeteria made me straight up dislike him. Being a childhood friend doesn’t mean she owes him anything or that she belongs to him in any way. I can’t stand people who do shady shit like that. They’re doing it because they KNOW they don’t really stand a chance or at least that the person the one they want cares for isn’t them. And the stunts always are hurtful to the one they supposedly like. If you can’t win them fair and square in a straight up and honest way, then you need to accept that person simply isn’t meant for you.

I take it back

Byung-in and his father are equally despicable, evil bastards. Just one knows he is and the other convinces himself that his actions are justified, because he’s pathetic.

This episode really made me cry. It was so emotional. The acting was outstanding, as was the directing. Very impressive.

Can I just say...

I have to express my sincere dislike for that always-complaining Negative Nelly plant worker that’s making that one doctor feel so guilty for running when the building was collapsing. He did exactly what he was supposed to. If he’d gotten out and not said anything about a survivor being inside then he’d have something to complain about. However, as it is, he needs to shut the heck up! All he does is whine, bitch and blame. Ugh! I like him less than even that idiotic moron of a plant chief. He’s just straight up ridiculous. But desperation and greed tend to make people jackasses. That plant worker was a pessimistic whiny ass even before the earthquake. I’m currently rewatching and like him even less this time around.

LOL, Han Son!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! My favorite scene of this entire series: after watching everyone get flustered and panicked when the NSO raids each facility, when they get to Han Son he literally just throws the dude and keeps walking...end of scene. LMAOOOOO! I’m dying! If that didn’t totally summarize his character throughout the series, I don’t know what would. Don’t mess with Han Son, whew!Seriously, I have the biggest crush on that man now. He’s so cute and cuddly but such a badass. I actually really enjoyed this episode. Not really sure why all the hate. Maybe because I watched the series all at once I had more appreciation for it. Two things though: how’d that dude arrive at the hospital so soon after ML woke up? Helicopter or not that was ridiculous. Also there’s no way Jae-Wook should still be alive. That’s absolutely unrealistic. Should have shot him somewhere else if they planned to do that. Either that or the shadow agent was a horrible shot.
