OMG I loved this comedy drama so much.  The story is just a simple HS love triangle, but the characters are all so quirky and loveable and the cast is just amazing.  I loooooove it.  If you like character driven BL go watch it.

When I first saw the trailers I wasn't that interested but watched because everyone loved it.  It's just really well done, the actors are great, and they fit exactly enough in the episodes to make everything work together.  I cried a lot (it is not a tragedy, just... You know, life).

For me it started off a little slow but really hit its stride by the end and comes together really well.  This is one of the few I've rewatched, I love the ending.

This is a film about healing emotional wounds and it deals with some really complex issues of family and anger and loss and the scars left by words.  It's also a supernatural film, and the supernatural aspect isn't really well fleshed out, watch it for the relationships and the acting.

This comedy is just ridiculously adorable.  

This drama was just great.  Plot is built around a 40 something gay man who had grown used to the idea of being alone, learning how to be part of a couple through enjoying making meals for his partner.  Bonus, his parents are adorable.

Very dramatic, set in a Taiwan much different from today's.  Always shocks me when parents hit their adult or near adult kids in public in these films and nobody says anything.  

Gay revolutionaries taking down corruption?  Sign me up!  Did not disappoint.

This has a few things going for it.  It's got good production value and the acting isn't bad.  It's about adults rather than teens or college students.  It's an interesting story about how production houses can exploit people for profit. It doesn't try to force multiple pairings. As BL goes it's pretty good.  

The setting was really beautiful, the acting was pretty good.  Interesting how deeply invested some Thai dramas are in forgiveness tropes, this one is pretty deep.

This is two short episodes, but so cute and the actors just really filled out the characters and created the chemistry.  

Really loved how basic and simple this movie was, and also the peek into rural Japanese life.  

This one didn't start out that great and I almost dropped it, but I'm glad I didn't because the quirky chemistry between the two main actors was worth watching until the end.

I loved the vibe of this movie even though I watched it with what seemed like automatic subs and I had no idea what anyone was saying.  I'm just assuming I will love it even more with good subs.

This one got lost a bit once or twice but overall was really well done.  The lead actors especially did a really good job and had great chemistry.

I saw the sequel movie first and loved it  but I didn't expect much from this series.  However the cast of great quirky characters really made it enjoyable, and I think the romance sets the mood for the movie well.

I watched the drama version and liked it but didn't love it.  The expanded ending on the director's cut movie makes a huge difference.  Sniff.  Watch this one instead.

I recently rewatched this and moved it up the list.  It was one of the first dramas I watched andI was overly focused on plot holes, which are numerous,  since watching a lot of dramas I knowthat plot continuity isn't really a focus lol.

 What you can focus on is the easy chemistry between the two leads, the lieutenant who wears very tight uniforms, and the fact that this is well produced and directed and has an interesting story.  The setting is absolutely gorgeous and makes me want to live in a house in the forest in Thailand.

This was hilarious.  It's both a parody of BL tropes and a BL what could be better? 

This was a sweet series and while there were a few hiccups I thought it wrapped up very nicely. Actors did a good job.

CW: domestic violence

I think the tendency of these series to try to rehab abusers is a little too optimistic on the tendency of people who express anger with physical violence to see the harm they do.  (It's not rehabbed into a romance, don't worry.  The pairings are all cute).  Not all villains need to be redeemable,

This one was good, and a little different from the usual BL fare.  The ending doesn't really wrap anything up but apparently a second season is coming!

Really wanted to reach into the screen a few times with my  mama bear claws and save Bas, although also I'm not always sure about his motives (complex characters are good!)

This is a short movie, but it doesn't try to do too much.  It's just one conversation between twoboys, and it manages to fill in backstory without feeling awkward and keeps moving.

This just was super cute and fun.

This drama is all about the power of memories, and works largely through flashbacks and repeating scenes.  I know some people disliked how slow and sentimental it was, but I really enjoyed the two rookie actors and the wholesome charm of the whole thing.  

I thought this was really well done.  About a gay couple with a son, it explores issues of chosen family and coming out as well as day to day struggles.  Good acting, good story.  Season one ends with a cliffhanger so season 2 should be good also. (Edit, apparently they are talking about not doing a season two, angry face emoji)

I really liked this short film, mostly because I love pistachios.

I'm giving this a much higher place than it probably deserves because it was really spot on about how fragile and stupid teen boys are. There are no sex scenes in this series, which is good because teen boys.

Also I gave it extra for a rather feeble attempt at adding in a f/f subplot, I'm definitely team Mook.

You have to watch the second season to see any progression but that's OK.

This actually has some unexpected twists and turns and in the end I quite liked the plot and the message.

Unlike many heartbreaking films this one won't lead you on and then break your heart, it will break your heart in the very first scene.  I had to rest in the middle because there were too many feelings.  I felt like the actor who played the mom gave an especially good performance.

OK I know I know, it was problematic (most of the relationship progress was driven by jealousy) and left a ton of open subplots and tried to do too much but Noh is just very cute and I lovedhim in this and wanted BBomb to be happy.

This is exactly the kind of slow paced sappy romance I love but I was extremely so so on the ending.

I thought the main character in this one was pretty well developed, so when he struggled to make choices it seemed real rather than melodramatic.  

This one had some really great points but was a little inconsistent.  I found the final episode annoying although the actual final scene was good.  In the end Boat was the one thing this series really bad going for it, but he lacked sexual chemistry with the other actor (which, probably it's hard to find straight guys with sexual chemistry I don't know).  Anyway overall good but not perfect.

Sounds so incredibly ridiculous and yet was unexpectedly delightful.

This one initially struck me as cheesy and cliche and I didn't finish it, but when I rewatched I really liked it.   Underlying theme is people who have no good choices have to get creative, ends much deeper than it starts.  I thought the sister's performance was especially great.

This just has some really excellent performances, the story is heartbreaking but we can pull each other through heartbreak sometimes.

There are two different endings, both are good but one is very sad.  I like stories about people who can't figure out how to be the people they want to be.

I can't explain why I enjoyed this one so much ?

This one is set in a high school in which violence is pervasive, major trigger warnings for sexualassault and bullying.  

I read the Manga and it was really interesting.  The drama loses some of the darker mood of the Manga, but the actors are adorable and have pretty good chemistry, so it turned out cute anyway.

This is one of my favorite anime stories.  The live action was pretty good, but the anime is still better.

This isn't very long, a series of shorts.  I liked it because it was very weird and and the young actors were adorable.  The sideburns were a downside.

I read the Manga and really liked it.  Just another very simple story set in rural Japan.

I thought this was adorable, the soundtrack was also really good.

This really packs a whole plot in 20 minutes, I'm impressed.

I liked the present arc a lot for how it dealt with trauma (even if past life trauma) but I admit to skipping through a lot of the past life arc.

This drama was SO PRETTY and I wanted to love it a lot, but between the odd pacing (very slow, long scenes where nothing happens) and the weird way they played out the relationship I was not able to adore it.  Still worth watching.

The first half is meh but I liked the second half.

This is a cute series.

The specials are as funny as the series.

I thought I was burned out on Thai BL but this was really cute.  

I started and dropped this once and got squicked out by the gender body swap thing, but once I watched it further I saw that there was more going on, and in the end I really liked it.

Short but cute and funny.

I really enjoyed both seasons.  I thought all of the actors did a good job,  but the Bas/Marco arcwas especially good.  CW sexual harassment.

OK I was not expecting this to be scary!  Anyway it stars the boys from Ingredients, and while the acting isn't perfect it's actually pretty well done.  About 40 minutes total, but packs it in there.

I guess I went in with lower expectations than others because I thought this was really cute.  It's short, 8 episodes at 12 minutes each, and it doesn't dig deep.  It's just a silly love story in a historical setting.  Don't expect plot twists or zombies.

I loved the concept so much and the actors were phenomenonal, but the production is a little choppy and doesn't flow well.  The end was a little unsatisfying for me.

This is really cute.  A little slow at times, but it fits the setting.  

Well it's YAOI, expect weird and filthy.  There are two endings, one dark and the other light ostensibly.  The dark ending is very dark and the light ending just seems out of place because the rest of the movie is so dark.  Watch with headphones if the kids are home.

This series had a dominant character and some consent breaches that weren't really my thing,but I do have to admit that I cried at the last episode and felt like they developed the characters well.

I found some of this sequel uncomfortable to watch but overall the arc worked pretty well andthe ending  was good.  (No trigger warnings except guys being clueless and emotional infidelity).

This is a short film and very pure, I thought the acting was pretty good and their awkwardness was charming.  Also it's just like a full on race for Thai BLs to find the cutest boys.

Once again I'm the odd drama liker.  This did have pacing issues but I thought the dynamic of tan and sine was great.  The math angle was a little corny but I'm a math person so I went with it,  I really liked the last episode.

I actually really liked this one. About a divorced father of a teen who falls in love with a young gay man.  I liked the various characters in it, an assortment from the LGBT spectrum.  

This is pretty good actually.  About a gay man who enters a fake marriage with a lesbian friend with a plan to leave Korea when it's over.  He plans to never come out in Korea, but then he falls in love.

This short film is about two boys and also about the struggle of being gay in an unaccepting world,  Trigger warning, SIB.

This is another quarantine romance, which what else can you do?  I found this one more emotional than many and thought the actors did a really good job.  The love rival was so annoying though lol.  This one touched on a lot of issues regarding sexuality, family, and how complicated family dynamics are made worse by the pandemic.

This one started a little weak for me, very pretty but not very deep.  But even with the short episodes they managed to build characters I cared about by the end.

This is a very intense story about a young man who had been severely abused.  Trigger warnings for violence and sexual assault.  But I thought the story, overall, was hopeful and the performances were good.

Short film about love and illness.

This sounds SO WEIRD - it's a musical about unsold cookies arguing with each other instead of facing their fears about being forgotten and alone.  Such a metaphor, and surprisingly well done, the metaphor works in the end.

This is a lower budget movie but it was pretty entertaining!  The ending is a trip, lol.  This one has some violence but isn't gory.

This was pretty good, although it tried to hard at times.

OK this one is VERY SHORT and sort of views like a trailer, but it's a complete story.  

I didn't think the acting was great in this one, but the overall effect was still really cute and the actors had big cuddle game.  

Short movie (15 minutes).  It's pretty cute and stars a chicken costume.

I really wanted to see more of Pei Shu Yi and Yu Zhen Xuan, once the main couple settled their issues.  

This is a period drama, the fight scenes were really well done.  

This is one of a two part story.  Very broken relationship, abusive parents.

It starts off sort of cheesy but gets deeper at the end.

Extremely very weird dark plot, I think it's adapted from a Manga but I haven't read it.  I like weird dark plots.

The relationship in this story is pretty messed up and gets dark at times.  There are two endings to the second part, a happy and a sad one!

This was hard to find!  At first it seems like the characters aren't very interesting, but the sort of simplified quirkyness of both characters creates an interesting relationship.  Watch the uncut version.

Japanese stories with their weird ass plots, I love them.

I didn't hate it but the script wasn't great.  The lead actors were pretty cute.

More weird Japanese plots, this is a sequel to Mood Indigo and is less dark, still emotional.  CW for age difference.

This is another cute, simple type of love story without fan service.
