My Drama List

My first drama! I was looking for romance anime series but couldn't find any. But this anime streaming platform that I was on had a Jdrama section as well which I hadn't checked out before. I decided to try this drama, and so my drama journey began.

I've forgotten 99,9% of this drama so it seems it didn't make a big impression on me.

After this drama I saw a few episodes of Switch Girl and it traumatised me, making my drama discovery journey halt here.

I had discovered BTS earlier in 2016 so when I heard that Taehyung was gonna star in Hwarang there was no other option besides watching it. I started watching it the day it came out and I followed it closely; watching every episode the day they came out. I'm not sure if I've watched the last episode or not (because of the traumatic ending in episode 19). 

After having watched Hwarang I think I just looked up "Kdramas" or "best Kdramas" on Google and chose one of the first titles I saw that looked interesting. It happened to be this drama, Flower Boy Next Door.

I remember really liking this drama. But I think that I found the 2nd ML's scenes a bit boring. I just wanted to see romance lol. I recently tried rewatching it and lowered the score (I think it had a 9 before) because I didn't like it very much anymore.

This drama has a low score on MDL, but I remember really liking it. I was into body switch hidden identity dramas from the get-go lol. Only thing is that the ending was weird lol.

I have fond memories of watching Kill Me Heal Me at my grandmothers house. She had really bad internet at the time so I had to wait for it to load every 5 minutes, but I still had a lot of fun! ^^ Kill Me Heal Me is still one of my favourite dramas to this day.

Another drama that I think was available on the anime streaming platform I used.

I wanted to see more of Ji Sung since I loved him in Kill Me Heal Me. It was cool to see him in this type of role. I rewatched Defendant in 2021 and it was still really good.

I discovered that there were some Kdramas on Netflix lol and wanted to explore. I remember liking it. Maybe it's time for a rewatch? haha ^^

This is a one of a kind drama...

I remember that I wasn't a fan of either of the leads and that I was super disappointed about the male lead's reaction when he found out the truth about her.

I was definitely on unofficial sites by this point lol. I remember being a bit disappointed as this drama didn't live up to my expectations. I don't remember what I was expecting.

I don't remember why I disliked this drama so much, but I did.

This became one of my favourite dramas at the time. The OST sung by that criminal rapist that went to prison a few years later was my most listened to song in 2017. So sad that the song was tainted with filth.

Goblin is a nice drama, but I feel like it's overrated. I wasn't interested in any of the characters. I've tried to rewatch it two times but I couldn't.

I did not like this drama.

I wanted to watch some "controversial" school problem dramas because I hated school lol.

I was browsing MDL and saw that this drama was the highest rated Jdrama at the time, so I decided to give it a watch.

My cousin was all about BL so I just tried this drama. She didn't recommend this or anything. I don't remember much of it at all.

My first taste of more frightening serial killers in dramaland.

Tbh I have 0 memory of watching this drama, but it's recorded in my list so I probably have... right? lol

I thought that since I liked Hwarang, maybe I like historical dramas. But it wasn't true at the time. I used to not like historical dramas very much because I couldn't relate to them.

I didn't know that the first time I watched My Love From the Star was in 2017! *o_o*

I was joking a lot about EXO Next Door with my cousin before I watched it. But it's actually kind of good, I remember. haha

First title to be completed in 2018. I don't remember anything from this BL. I wasn't as strict with giving scores back then so I don't know what I would give it had I watched it more recently. Heard it has received a handful of backlash; the reason for it I do not know, nor am I interested in finding out. Will most likely not rewatch this anyway.

Unpopular opinion; I did not like this drama at all.

I recommended this drama to my cousin and after she'd watched it she became a huge fan of Arashi ^^

I preferred Jdramas during this time. This was the first YamaP & Kamenashi drama that I saw.

I adored this drama when I saw it for the first time. I've rewatched it/attempted to rewatch it many times as well and I still like it a lot.

The first time that I watched Healer I didn't think anything special of it despite giving it a 10 at that time as well. It was after I rewatched it a few times in 2021 that it became one of my favourite dramas.

I gave this a 10/10 the first time that I watched it because I could relate to the characters feelings at the time. I was very depressed.

I thought that this was the deepest craziest drama out there the first time I watched it lol.

I don't like dramas about terror attacks or disasters because there are so many people who have nothing to do with the story that die. It makes me feel sick.

I had to watch the 2nd season of my first drama.

The first time I properly understood what a cult really is.

The first time I watched this drama I liked it, so I recommended it to my friend Alyssa. It became one of her all time favourite dramas after that. Upon rewatching it I found out that I actually don't like this drama very much anymore and drastically lowered the score.

I got excited when I found out that Mob Psycho 100 had gotten a live action remake. I liked it when I saw it so I recommended it to my cousin who've also seen the anime. She didn't like it apparently lol she told me last time we met (I didn't know).

I watched this drama whilst me, my parents and my cousin went to Japan and South Korea in the summer of 2018. I loved it a lot and watched it every night in the hotel room. Upon rewatching a few episodes last year I lowered the score a bit, but the memories still remain and I always think of the days we spent in Japan whenever I see this title ^^

I started watching this together with my cousin but finished it alone. Maybe I should rewatch it sometime because I'm pretty sure that I didn't pay enough attention when watching.

Happy memories~ I don't remember the first time I watched it, but I remember rewatching it in the car on our way to Norway. I also recommended this to my mom and she've seen it. I recently rewatched it (April 2022) and Kaga-kun is still best boy.

I remember that I originally started to watch the Japanese version, but I couldn't find all of the episodes so I decided to watch the Korean version instead.

I remember feeling like I had seen "all" of the good dramas already so I wanted to try watching something cheesy with a lower score like this one. It was fun but really bad, that's why it has a low score.

This was once my favourite Cdrama, the Hana Yori Dango Chinese adaptation: Meteor Garden. I think that I recommended this to my mom, or she just saw it herself, but she've watched all of it and she liked it. She have studied Mandarin when she was younger (mom and dad went to China once before I was born and mom liked the language, and probably the culture as well) so it was more interesting for her to watch a Chinese drama series. 

"My favourite manga (at the time) has a Jdrama adaptation? I have to watch it!" Discovering this was a joy to my shojo manga loving heart <3

Oh I remember liking this drama a lot! I should rewatch it sometime.

A Jdrama fan who haven't seen or doesn't know about Gokusen is a fake fan.

By this point my cousin had been expressing her love for Arashi to me and introduced me to their wonderful music. I of course had to have my own ichiban as well, and that is Matsujun. So my favourite Jdrama (at the time), Kimi wa Petto (2017), has an original version from 2003 (I was only 1 year old when it dropped omg lol) with Matsujun as the male lead. Of course I had to watch it! Saw it during New Years 2018 ––> 2019.

Who wouldn't want to watch a drama where the main character walks around with a paper bag over his head the whole time? lol

Listening to the OST still makes my heart hurt... ㅠㅠ

My cousin, once again, urged me to watch an Arashi drama. I'm not a fan of medical dramas but I watched it for her. I remember thinking it was mediocre. But an Arashi drama is never bad!

My school-problem-drama loving self discovered this gem. "A deep Thai drama with serious school problems? Me gusta!" – 16 year old Silje.

I was BLOWN AWAY by this at the time. I thought it was so cool because I couldn't guess who the culprit was and when it found out (spoiler) that he had D.I.D. and that it was him all along... omg

My nr.1 favourite Jdrama to this day. I have seen this drama 5 times already (as of April 2022). I had seen a lot of Yamaken's shojo manga movie adaptations at this time and had really fallen for him so I looked at his drama section and saw this high-scoring drama with an interesting synopsis; male lead having a completely different personality from what I was used to seeing (by Yamaken). I remember that I had this on my ptw list for a while and was a bit upset with myself for not having seen this sooner lol.

I became curious about Masaki Suda. I love the OST for Todome no Kiss, Sayonara Elegy, that he sings, and then I found out that he was an actor so of course I had to check out his work.

I was very disappointed with this drama. It has such a high score and everyone was/is praising it, but I find it very plain and boring. I've tried to rewatch it twice in hopes to like it more, but that only caused me to lower the score even more. I would definitely have dropped this if it wasn't for Masaki Suda.

I loved the ending.

I remember that I watched this during my 17th birthday and I was so happy because of it.

I became curious about YamaP because of Nobuta wo Produce.

And Kamenashi as well.

I think I was looking for something similar to Gokusen. I should rewatch this sometime because I remember really liking it.

I remember being really let down about this drama. I had expectations that weren't met. The OST was absolutely horrible as well.

Kamenashi again. Didn't know that this drama was popular until a year or two ago.

I missed Yamaken so I watched this. I absolutely hate his character tho, he's so mean. But I can't hate him completely because it's Yamaken who plays him lol.

This is what I wrote about it back in 2019: "Really cute! It reminded me a lot of 'A Love So Beautiful', 'Meteor Garden' and 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo', all of which I like very much." yeah.

I was way to young to watch this. It had lots of adult language (complicated sentences and words) that I didn't understand and 0 comedy. Why and how did I even manage to complete this? lol

The synopsis sounded very interesting and Yamaken is in it so it was a no-brainer.

Heard this was the better version of Chugakusei Nikki, or at least its competitor. Liked this more.

I remember that I tried to watch it on that anime streaming platform back in 2016 but I was never able to complete it because it wasn't entertaining enough for me. It was still a let down when I completed it in 2019. But it's a classic so you can't not have seen it.

I was "obsessed" with this drama for quite a while after having completed it. 

My cousin continued on her fujoshi journey and showed me this BL full of comedy and Tanaka Kei (she's a big fan of him). I still like it! I rewatched it a few months ago, I think.

I decided to pick this up because of Yamaken but I didn't see that it said "guest role" lol so I watched the whole drama, anticipating his appearance, only for him to show up in the last scene for less than 1 minute... lmao

They're married in real life now! Yay! ^^ Gen Hoshino is such a great singer, as well as an actor of course. 

Not a BL ok. I remember finding it quite fun; I should rewatch it sometime.
