Jang Dong Yoon and After School's Nana are confirmed to be the main leads of the upcoming drama "My Man Is Cupid."
On January 7th, it was announced that Jang Dong Yoon and After School's Nana have decided to lead the drama "My Man Is Cupid." They will be working with director Nam Tae Jin ("Lovers of the Red Sky") and writer Heo Sung Hee ("One More Happy Ending"). Hb Entertainment will be producing the series.
"My Man Is Cupid" is a fantasy romance drama about a fairy who falls in love after being shot by his own bow and a woman who loses her lover after being intertwined in the situation.
Jang Dong Yoon will be playing the role of fairy Cheon Sang Hyuk. He's been living on the ground since he burned his wings 500 years ago. He is currently the owner of the historic and renowned high-end chain restaurant Sarangbang in Jongno, Seoul. Nana will be playing the role of Oh Baek Ryun, a highly attractive veterinarian.
"My Man Is Cupid" is set to air in 2022, which is this year if you can believe it.
Jang Dong Yoon is confirmed to star in three upcoming dramas. Aside from "My Man Is Cupid," the actor will also lead the dramas "Oasis" and "The Fairy and the Bald Idol." He will also join the upcoming films: "The Wolf Hunting" and "Long Distance." Last year, Jang Dong Yoon only played one role which was in the drama "Joseon Exorcist," although that was canceled after just two episodes to controversy over historical accuracy.
Just like Jang Dong Yoon, Nana is also booked and busy this year. The idol-actress will also lead the upcoming dramas "Glitch" and "Mask Girl." She is also included in the cast of the upcoming movie "Confession" together with So Ji Sub, Kim Yoon Jin, and Choi Kwang Il.
